Alexander sat down in a chair and pulled out a bunsen burner along with a few beakers. "Idiot? Chemical physics is not idiocy. Emotions may just be chemical messages, but they are important." He mumbled to himself as he set the burner aflame and dug out his notes. His mind was set on multiple things yet he couldn't stop trying to think what was best for his lineage and what was best for others.

"I did have high hopes... And I am sorry for ruining her dress. I did say I would pay her back. She shouldn't have gone to hit me... Nor had she pressed forward on attack. Defence is all that I'm allowed to do, and even if anger is mixed in..." He swirled a beaker of blue liquid and waited for it to turn purple again before mixing a few more ingredients. "That chika has a mouth... And certainly the wrong idea." A pungent aroma filled the room as he blended a few more substances. After a few minutes of silence and slow not taking, Alexander spoke with a little gladness.

"Okay fragrance Love Potion no. 8675... I need a drop of pure royal honey and..." He pulled out a small vile filled with a tiny purple and pink cloud. "A dash of altonimbus." Alexander sprinkled the vapors in slowly as to not distract anyone. With his green military attire, Alexander looked like a revolutionist with a bomb, but the truth was that Alexander had a passion for smells and he wanted to craft something people would remember as much as a summer's day. He had never created 8675 smells, just that he found the number ironic for a love smell.

The beaker rumbled for a moment... Sending the pure fragrance throught the room. The smell was as fresh as a spring morning, as cool as a winter night, and smelled deeply of sweetend fruit from the forest. "Eureka..." He bottled up the fragrance and began making a few more batches. "Now I need test subjects. Nothing special... Just a nice fruity smell." He looked down at the list in his pocket and pulled out his cell.

Shrine maiden: "Hello?"
Alexander: "Hey... Um Erika?"
Shrine maiden: "Yeah Alex? Need something?"
Alexander: "Yep. I need something to be delivered... I also need a place to shop at for fancy dresses."
Shrine maiden: "Wait right there. I'll send some one with a few emeralds over and a piece of paper so you can get the deliveries where they need to go."
Alexander: "Thanks Chika."

Alexander rested against the lab table thinking up something to write in an apology, but his question remained in his head. How could Evona ever think an entire nation rides on her? Alexander had other candidates, granted they might be his cousin, but it just seemed that Alexander wanted longing to not be a marital interloper. It was wrong in his mind... Of course he may have presented it that way, but it was because he found a way to finaly be free. He didn't want to die like the weather wolf before him, old and alone, and he didn't want to be the one who was a hermit. Alexander was lucky to even go to college, none the less have shrine maidens look after his temple, keeping it in the sky.

He drifted in thought for a while.
