It was miserably cold, and Barth did not want to spend another second on Amityville's campus. Or on an off-campus field trip. Or deal with anything related to Insanity, Hunters, and near-death experiences.
He just wanted to go home.
Where he had actual servants, and a real physician, and he also sort of missed his mom.
After taking care of some personal business, and a text to various parties that he would be out of town (Mainly: Mandy, Lilith, and Claire), he was gratified to see Grimhold already waiting at the school gate.

It was a rather sudden decision for the demon, and a sudden anything for Barth was surprising for Calder. It had only been a day or so after that event and the ground was still thawing while the cleanup was just starting to be planned. As for Calder, he was newly stitched, bandaged, and set to bed rest - or tub rest in his case. The schedule was blocked with no moving, strain, or shape shifting. In short, it was going to be a BORING time for the usually energetic kelpie.
It was while talking with Barth to see how things were going and if, by taking lots of breaks on his way far away and up the hill to the demon dorms, if he could come over, that Barth mentioned he was in the middle of getting ready to leave. Actually, to be more correct, it was after many dodging 'errs' and roundabout turns in conversation that Barth finally got around to saying he was going home.
And that was why Calder was beside a horseless carriage, having left his dorm early, and only armed with one bag of luggage, of which Grimhold looked at due to it's rather small size, and set upon the top of the carriage. While the vampire did that, Calder leaned against the carriage, resting. Even the short walk to the gates had been exhausting. Everything felt sore. "If you don't breath does that mean you don't get winded and if that's the case, would that mean you would be an excellent swimmer? Could you hide the key to a safe in your organs for safe keeping?" Calder asked, continuing off in a tirade of random questions he had for the vampire. "Have you ever tired other hats before you settled on that one? One in black with a orange sash and some nice flowers would look nice on you and still give you plenty of shade."

Grimhold adjusted the straps, having the same problem every person has when they try to perform small, fiddly tasks with gloves.
"I am admittedly not fond of water," Grimhold said, "And I do not keep objects in my organs." The straps finally fastened with a satisfying click. Grimhold adjusted his hat.
"I was more concerned with a broad brim. Did Master Barth indicate where he would be...Ah, Master Barth. No luggage?"
Barth waved Grimhold off. "Home." More gently, he added to Calder, "...Glad you decided to come too. Did anyone else...err, I mean, did Christof...?"

Calder felt that Grimhold would still look good in a nice, flowered hat, but was disappointed the vampire didn't like water. He wanted to see if he ever would like to go for a race - well, when he wasn't stitched up. As it was, he had a set of instructions for his bandages in his pack, and was, as they put it, 'taking it easy' for a while.
At the mention of Barth, Calder perked up, looking out and moving slowly to meet his boilfriend, giving him a soft hug and was about to give a kiss when he stopped, glancing at Grimhold. If Barth was 'engaged', he didn't know if he was allowed to be intimate with his boilfriend. He stepped away instead.
"I didn't see him when I was coming, but I didn't pass the Monster dorms, and left rather early." He pulled on a bit of his bangs, adjusting them. "I....had to take a few breaks." It was embarrassing to admit he had to rest to just get to the gates. Usually, he could just trot the distanst without breaking a sweat.
"When did he saw he would be coming?"

Christof hadn't been sure about coming. He hadn't been sure about doing much of anything. In fact, it had taken a whole two texts (and Barth never texted him even once, usually.) to even rouse him.
He still wasn't sure if he was coming, but if Barth and Calder were leaving... well... then he should at least see them off. As uncomfortable and third-wheel as it felt.
He was used to that feeling at least.
Everything was stitched back into place, but his spirit was still feeling numb. He didn't want to do much of anything. Just.. lay on the roof maybe, and wait for the birds to come.
It was a slow shuffle to where the carriage sat waiting for it's passengers, but he limped his way over with no luggage in hand.

An Estate? Amrita had never been to one before, or seen one before...and it was actually questionable if she had even heard of one before now. The point is, it sounded fancy and she never took well to things that were meant to be fancy; she wasn't fancy at all, and just couldn't do it right, if her etiquette grades spoke any truth.
Either way she had been roundabout invited, and she was so eager to get off school grounds she agreed immediately, albeit quietly. And probably only to Barth.
DC was left with more food and toys than he'd know what to do with, and once everything was in order she wandered towards the front gate. She had a small bag (given to her by Lizzy) that contained a few nicer clothes (made by Lizzy) just in case, along with a book (borrowed from Lizzy) incase she couldn't sleep; unlikely, but who knew. All she could hope for was to not go into a complete body lockdown as she tended to do after stressful events...
"Hullo~" Shyness filled her voice, but she was really in awe; a carriage! She'd never been in one! So far her methods of travel were feet, that brief ride on Chopper, or the train. The latter was terrible...but this was cool! "...Th-thanks again for inviting me!" Backwards hands worried at the straps to her bag, completely unsure of what to do next. Up until then her focus had been on Barth and the carriage, but as her gaze wandered she noticed Calder, and then...Christof. Her face darkened a little in a blush, suddenly feeling more awkward than she had been, if that were at all possible.
"Ah...Um. H-how are you all feeling...?" She stammered out to the three of them.

"Well, he didn't exactly-" Barth started, but was relieved to see the two undead making their way down towards the main gate. If he'd known that Christof felt like doing exactly nothing, he would have been overcome with affection. As it was, he greeted Amrita with a "Hello," and answered "Good, good," although he looked just as weary and frazzled as the rest of them.
While Barth hadn't brought any luggage, per say, Handsome was flopped over the end of the skateboard. His short, puppyish legs had been growing gangly and awkward.
Grimhold stepped down, inquiring, "Your bag, Miss?"

Calder was happy to see Christof, though not overjoyed. He still had questions for him back at the trip, but part of it seemed too distant to bring up, and he was feeling rather tired to be digging through the memories of that night to question. If it came up, it came up, though it was nagging on him to push it. As it was, he simply gave a wave at the rather haggard looking undead. The lack of bags was only confusing as he wondered if Christof just didn't have anything to pack or if he wasn't coming, which worried him to leave the undead alone on campus. They all needed a break, and Christof might be attacked when they were away. That or spend all his time around Riley.
What was even MORE surprising than anything was to see Amrita, and a smile twitched on his face to see her, glancing at Christof a moment before back at the undead. Now he did have questions about this. He had seen the kiss and also recalled a certain tent incident before that, and was making a connection. To see her here made Calder wonder if Christof asked if he could bring her along, though he wasn't about to ask who invited her and make her feel unwanted.
He wanted to talk to Amrita after all. They had MUCH to talk about.
"Hello, Amrita. I'm.....good I guess. Not dead yet." Though he was rather upset by his lack of ability to do much running around. He liked running...and swimming....and moving around! STUPID STITCHES!
"Are you okay? It's good to see you. Are you coming along to take a break too?"

"Glad to hear." Even though he didn't look great - none of them did, really. The ghoul startled when Grimhold's voice took her attention, and after throwing a very pleading gaze to everyone else present. Should she? Was it okay? Either way she eventually slid the bag from her shoulder, handing it over. "Um...Thank you...very much!"
"Calder! Thanks again for the ride...I'm glad you're alive!" For once she lost expression faded; aside from Christof she had never really spent much time with the other boils...it was a little awkward, but she was all for it. "I'm alright. Uhh...I think. I'm...whole?" She scratched at a fresh pair of stitches where there shouldn't have been. "And uh yes...! I've never been somewhere as fancy sounding!" For once she sounded excited, and she was back to staring at the carriage in awe.
"...B-but I...I'll try to be good I promise!" She informed Barth, not wanting to be suddenly uninvited for her green nature.

Christof stood awkwardly, watching as Grimhold took care of the luggage and tending to anything else... he wasn't sure what to do. Wobble in place and hope someone asks something of him, he figured helplessly. He wasn't sure if he was going yet or not. He didn't know what he wanted to do.
His parts might have been put back together, but his brain felt numb and exhausted. He didn't feel like thinking. He didn't feel like doing much. Just... say good bye to his friends, he supposed, and let them go on their way.
At the sight of Amrita, though, things became more complicated. Was... she going as well? His stomach clenched, glancing meekly from her to Calder and finally to Barth. Hands rising, he signed slowly, "Need-assistance?"

To Calder, Christof always looked unsure, and he wondered if it was because Grimhold was here and essentially doing what was needed for Barth. In those situations, Christof just stood in a way that said he wasn't really sure WHAT he was doing. His safety question as if anyone needed help, and Calder knew that if Chrsitof wasn't useful, he usually just shut down or got weird....er.
Thinking, he stepped over to Christof. "How about you help Amrita and Barth into the carriage while Grimhold messes around with the luggage?" And in that way, once Christof was in, Calder could shut the carriage door behind him and keep him inside. Barth said he wasn't sure if Chrsitof was coming, but Calder felt that, just like Barth, he wanted to make sure the Igor didn't get hurt when they were away - and he still had questions. Shoving Amrita and Christof together for a while was just part of the perks.

Grimhold took Amrita's bag, stood to fasten it beside Calder's.
"Being good? At the house of a Gluttony demon? Perish the thought. Handsome," Barth said, as sweetly as possible. "Up. Go on, up. You can do it."
The long-legged dog just stared at the first step into the carriage, and wagged his tail slowly.

Christof nodded dully to Calder, but his eyes locked on the dog that was just as lazy as it's master at least gave him a bit of a starting direction. He limped over, hauling the growing mutt up. He was definitely bigger than when he had been stowing it in the drier at his own Master's castle. Barth somehow was treating the pet right. Considering how low maintenance the dog was, it was understandable. Handsome successfully transplanted onto a seat, he turned to offer a hand to Barth and Amrita to help them up.
He'd say good bye and.... he wasn't sure. Go hide in a broom closet or something until they got back, he supposed.

Handsome struggled awkwardly in Christof's arms, reaching backwards to lick his chin. Once in the carriage, he sloped off the seat, sprawling out in the floor.
Barth didn't think anything of Christof's surliness, but he remembered the last trip he had taken. Christof had pleaded to come with him then, not thinking much ahead, or of the responsibility of the other Marks he wore. Now, Barth wanted rid of them, and would not remind Christof of them. He didn't want the sojourn to be troubled with any over-arching pressure. He wanted the choices to be small, easy ones, not conscious or symbolic. And he wanted Christof to come with him.
Amrita's presence was multi-purposed.
"Did you ever find the Doom Buggy?" Barth asked, taking Christof's hand, "Or Chopper? I err, I didn't get the chance to look for them."

Christof nodded as he helped Barth into the carriage after the floppy dog, his extra arm slipping out from under his jacket to help him sign, "Found-last-night. Required-rope-and-dragging-but-now-all-things-put-away." It was a simple response, but at least he was 'talking'. That was an improvement. He still was unsure why Amrita was there but her presence was not unwelcome.
Once Barth was safely seated, he stepped down out of the carriage to give her a hand as well.
