There was something about the cold that seemed to slow down the amazonian senshi a little. Something about the cool nights that made it a little harder to motivate herself to patrol. It didn't help that Small Lady was often busy with her 'family' and duties too. And the rest of the quartet... Juno hadn't seen them in over a year. Ceres.. Pallas.. For the stretch of Christmas and New Years Juno hadn't even bothered trying.
But now was the new year.. and Juno was not one to dwell for so long. To sit and complain about things was not her style.. She was not the type to let her sadness and disappointment overwhelm her or damper her actions. To hell with it all. Life was something you took by the horns like a crazily bucking bull.
There was snow on the ground but the super senshi of the canopy hardly seemed to notice even in her sandals as she ran. There was evil out there, and it was her job to get rid of it. To make the city safe and make her young princess proud.

There was something strange about being back in Destiny City after seeing her father for almost four months. Whenever she got that email from her father, asking her to return home because her only grandfather was really sick, she could still remember that bitter feeling of trying to decide if she should go or not. It took her so long to get the approval to come to Destiny City, and she knew that her princess and the other quartet members were so close.
But, she couldn't deny the family she was born into. She just kept a hopeful heart that they were still here, but if not she would follow her princess where ever she went.
With the return back to the city, her patrols had become more often. She wanted to find the other members, to see their faces in real life and not just the memory that she had. Running in the brisk air, it was refreshing for Vesta. She felt like no one could stop her, it was her night tonight.
As she dropped down from one roof to another, she could feel something different in the air. There was something leading her, telling her that she should hurry in this direction. Vesta didn't hesitate as she ran as fast as she could, stopping whenever she noticed a familiar green headed woman in the distance. It could of been anyone, but Vesta knew instantly who it was. Juno, Jun-jun, her friend. She wanted to run up and hug her, but Vesta wasn't really wanting to get a punch in the face from her as a return. So, instead she yelled as loud as her voice would carry. "Juno! Juno! Juno!"

"Juno! Juno! Juno!"
There were a few senshi that knew her name, a few she'd fought along side from time to time. But there were very few people she knew on an intimate enough level to demand such an enthusastic set of calls. In fact Chibimoon was the only one, and that voice did not have the natural Japanese tone that her princess often called her in.
Pivoting with curiousity, she searched for the source, physically pausing when her eyes settled on the red headed senshi, eyes narrowing in scrutiny. It was a figure she hadn't seen in so long .. not really.. not physically. But it was one she knew right away anyway. One she'd seen time and time again in her dreams. Which was perhaps why she stayed paused for so long, actually reaching up with one hand to rub her eyes and make sure it wasn't some mirage.
".. Vesta?" The word hung on the air for a moment, the tone a mixture of confusion and.. was that excitement?
It was perhaps a good idea that the other girl hadn't run up to her, because as soon as she'd swallowed the fact that she was here.. that one of the other quartet was actually really here.. her face contorted and her brash honest got the best of her. "Where have you been!?"
If she was here.. then why the hell had Juno been doing this alone for so long? Chibimoon would be so... oh! Actually she wouldn't be angry at all.. most probably thrilled.

Vesta couldn't believe her eyes still, after a week of searching non-stop after getting back in Destiny city it had finally paid off. Juno was right in front of her, standing there with that same deep green hair that she remembered. She found one of them, one of the amazon quartet, and it was a step closer to see small lady. She was sure of it. As Juno spoke her name softly, a quickly smile came on her face. Juno remembered who she was, that was all that mattered right now.
It wasn't a surprise that Juno asked where she had been, it was only a suitable question since Vesta had pretty much vanished for months at end without even letting one of them know. Of course, it wasn't really her fault since she wasn't able to find any of them before leaving. Taking in a deep breath, Vesta tilted her head as she talked with a small frown on her face.
"I'm sorry, I should have stayed but my father wanted me back in Salvador da Bahia. My grandfather was sick and recently passed on. Although I wanted to stay here, search for you and the small lady.. this is the life I've been reborn into. I can't just... ignore them... " Just talking about her grandfather felt heavy on her heart, she would miss him for a long time.
Vesta couldn't keep her conversation left on that topic, she knew exactly what she needed to ask. Taking a step closer so that she could see Juno closer, Vesta smiled a true smile to her. "I'm sorry for taking so long, but I'm here for good. Sailor Vesta is back!" She said with a laugh, "Have... have you sound small lady?" She needed to know, it just was too important to her.

The critical and perhaps irritated look that had crossed Juno's face initially didn't hang around for very long, fading away to a more thoughtful twist of her lips.
She could have complained or lamented about doing things herself. Have tried to guilt the other girl for choosing her family over the world and her princess. But... no harm had really come of it. And who was she to really judge what was more important then what?
She was no philospher, no deep thinker. No.. Juno had always been more brawn then brain. She almost felt a wave of relief overcome her that Vesta was here now. That someone else could do the thinking.. and explain those tough questions that people tried to ask of her.
"You are here now." She waved a hand softly as if to try and dismiss the regret that seemed to plague her teammate. Vesta's declaration and smile was enough to allow one to form on Juno's face as well, one that grew deeper the more excited she came.
A very pronounced bobbing of her head answered the question, along with the proud folding of her arms over her chest. "I have been watching over her for about a year now. Small Lady is safe." And happy for the most part, seemingly settling in to her life with her adopted father and friends.
"No Diana though... and Ceres and Pallas have been gone for awhile too. Ohh.. yes and.." Her voice lowered a little. "Zirconia... Nehelenia.. They are somehow in this time too. I have not seen them myself, only heard of."

“I’m here to stay, I promise.“
Vesta really did mean each word that she said.
It was refreshing to see that smile come on Juno’s face, it was weird that such a cheerful look could be so rewarding for the red haired senshi. Just seeing her fellow teammate and long lost friend was enough to get Vesta smiling from ear to ear, bouncing on her tip toes as she tried her best to keep from running around in happiness.
At the news that Juno had found small lady, she couldn’t stop herself from grabbing onto Juno’s hands. Keeping them tightly in her grasp, she was afraid that the second she let go that Juno would be gone. “Small lady is safe, she’s here with us! I… I … I feel like crying, its so hard to believe!” Vesta really couldn’t believe it.
Vesta found herself wondering what the small lady looked like now, did she look even more similar to her mother? Could Diana be with her? Was she still that same small, spunky, and playful girl? Although she didn’t have a ton of clear memories of Small Lady, she knew instantly that the small lady was what her life existed for.
The more Juno continued on, Vesta’s hands slowly let go and fell down to her side. “Pallas and Ceres, they are gone now?” It was hard to hear that, those two names she almost had forgotten with time. And the news that Diana wasn’t here made her feel worried too, after all she was the one who awoke Vesta to start this journey. “Nehelenia… she was reborn too? Just wonderful…” She wanted to punch something at that news, it made the joyful moment seem much worse. Zirconia and Nehelenia were two people she never wanted to see again. Ever.
Shaking her head quickly enough that long ponytail tossed around behind her head, Vesta brought a smile to her face. She couldn‘t let herself get down! “It’ll be okay now, things will be better now! You’ve got me here to kick someone’s face in, after all!”

If she was grinning before, that grin only widened larger and stronger as Vesta vowed to stay. As the idea that she was no longer alone seemed to cement in her head, pushing away the worries from earlier that she was simply speaking to some mirage of her mind.
A hand reached out gripping the other amazon's shoulder and pulling her nearer in an almost masculine sign of affection.
"Small Lady will be so happy to see you are here. We will have to go see her very soon!"
"And do not worry about the rest of that. Now that there are two of us. No. Three of us." She could not and would not forget to include Small Lady in the equation, she'd already proven herself to be a strong and selfless young warrior. "The three of us will be able to stand strong and do what we must."
Echoing Vesta's cheerfulness she added optimistically. "Maybe we will even find our sisters again in time."

There wasn't anything as exciting and thrilling as finding her fellow scout, friend, and ally! With the knowledge that she had found Juno and that small lady was safe and sound, she felt like the world would suddenly be doing better.
As Juno's hand gripped tightly onto Vesta's shoulder, that bright smile couldn't stop on her face. She couldn't stop herself as she quickly wrapped her arms around Juno, tightening her grip around the other waist for a moment. It felt real, Juno was really here and Vesta had someone to lean on. Although she may be the one to think things through occasionally, but it still didn't mean that she wasn't a kid. She had always been the youngest of the quartet, so it felt safe that she had someone else to rely on.
Realizing that she was still clinging onto her friend, she released the other with a smile on her face although she kept a hold of Juno's hand.
"I can't wait to see her, I'm sure that Small Lady has grown up in a beautiful way."
Vesta smiled with everything that Juno said, she felt happier than she ever has before. "I know that we'll find our sisters again, it's just a matter of time. Soon the four of us will be together again, playing tricks and joking around!"
Standing there, Vesta couldn't help but wonder more about Juno. Was she attending school with her, did they live close to each other, was Small Lady close too? "Juno, I have a question..." Vesta asked quietly, her eyes blinking ever so slightly. "Can... we meet up, as normal girls and not like this? "

Juno didn't seem at all offput by the clinging hug, nor the lingering hand. While she didn't do a whole lot of hugging herself (unless it was of the rib crushing, lifting feet from the ground variety) she was touchy feely in her own rough sort of way. And really, even if she hadn't been Vesta was a very different kind of senshi and girl. Just as Chibimoon had been. It didn't matter that they were just meeting again because really.. they'd known each other since what seemed like forever.
The question caught her off guard, a curious quirk of her lips at what she thought was a kind of stupid question. Of course they'd meet each other and know each other outside of powering up! How could it be any other way? She knew enough about their Small Lady to know that if she had anything to say about it the three would soon find themselves attached at the hips.
"I am Aitana Ceu Matos. Small Lady Coralie and me go to Meadowview highschool. You go there too?" Actually... what the hell.
In a moment the power flooded from Juno, leaving behind a girl with obvious Brazilian heritage and features in much more comfortable and warm clothing at that.

With Juno's words, Vesta couldn't deny the joy that seemed to flow in her. Everything seemed to be going better than she ever dreamed. This was really happening, she wouldn't be alone anymore. She would have Juno and Small Lady by her side now, forever if she had a choice!
As Juno introduced herself as a her normal civilian name, Vesta was a bundle of joy listening. Aitana Matos and Coralie, those where their names. This was going to be the start of a unbreakable friendship between the three of them, she knew it without even meeting Small Lady yet.
With Juno powered down, Vesta couldn't help but smile at the obvious Brazilian standing before her. Without a second thought, Vesta allowed herself to turn back into the bright red head with warmer clothing as well. Although she wasn't dressed as warm as her friend, it was warmer than her scout uniform.
"Aitana, my name is Catarina Mendez, but call me Caty!" Catarina respond, quickly grabbing the other girls hand with a bright smile. "We have a lot to chat up on, where is your family from? I can tell your from Brazil just like me. I'm going to Meadowview too, so I'm sure we can see each other more now!" Catarina just couldn't stop her mouth from running a mile a minute, but she wouldn't trade it for the world.

As Vesta, or rather Catarina, dehenshined Aitana took in her features, committing them to memory. It was a look she would be sure not to forget. They did indeed go to school together, and Aitana would be quick to hunt down the other amazonian when they went back.
Hand in hand, Aitana gave a small tug, beginning to walk slowly back towards the direction of her house, no longer interested in patrolling. "I am from outskirts of Santarem."
"Here though I live with foster family. I am not so sure what I will do though once I graduate." She'd probably have to get a job or something.. and that was totally boring.
-----------------------
The two talked almost nonstop as they walked, speaking of their simliarities and differences. What they thought of the US and Destiny City. Just about everything.
They had so much to talk about, but luckily they had all the time in the world to do it now that they had found each other.
One down, only two more to finish the quartet.
