Calling Chris had been far easier than Penelope had expected, perhaps because she had known him, however briefly, as a normal person before she had known he was a knight. Their first meeting had been, admittedly, slightly odd with Anna and Minotaur getting so involved in one another, but now she had to think that, in some strange way, it had set up for their connection in the Jovian Court. She had learned from the meeting, for instance, that he was kind and polite, and that had made it all the easier to accept that she was going to be on a team with him. It also had offered her a way to call him and request a meeting, using their two dogs as an excuse to meet at the dog park. Currently, she sat on a bench with a small green gift bag beside her. Minotaur's leash was half-curled in her lap.
Penelope still did not quite understand the technical differences between Knights and Senshi, but she did know that Chris as Valhalla knew many people and exhibited the same amount of courage and care as the other members of Order she had fought with in the Surrounding. He also had opened his home to the Jovians in the time of their first, emegency meeting, and openly showed them his true identity. These acts of kindness resonated strongly with the teenager, and she just hoped that her small act of kindness would not across as too... awkward.
Minotaur, for his part, was always happy to come to the park! He trotted contentedly around the area, glad to be off of his leash and sniffing at the other pups nearby, his tiny tail wriggling in greeting.

The call from Penelope had been a little surprising, but not unwanted. Chris was happy to meet up with his teammate for whatever she needed, even if it was just for socializing. Annabel seemed excited about the prospect, too... even if she had no idea what she was going to be doing, just as long as she was being put on a leash, which obviously meant she was going outside.
He smiled when he saw, once he arrived in the park. He paused to let Annabel off her leash before closing the distance between them. "Penelope," he greeted, "How are you?"
It had been a little while since he'd seen her, but it seemed as though she was doing well. The time at the Surrounding had been trying on everyone, but it was good that they had managed to pull through. They had each other to count on, at least, and sure enough when Ganymede reached out, they responded. He hadn't expected it, if he was honest with himself. There were certain senshi and knights he knew, but he didn't think he had so many he could call and they would appear without any hesitation. It was... nice... Almost like a family.
But that might be getting a little ahead of himself.
Meanwhile, Anna had found her friend and was happy to yip and bounce around as they caught up.

Penelope heard Chris before she saw him, but she immediately rose from the bench to meet him. The small green bag she left resting there, satisified that it would be safe long enough for her to greet her friend. "I'm fine, Chris. I hope that you're well, too? Enjoying the holidays?" The girl motioned towards the bench with one hand, silently inviting him to take a seat if he desired it.
Her nerves threatened to get the better of her as she wrung her hands, but she kept a smile on her face as she murmured, "Thank you for coming. I hope I didn't disturb your day? It's good to see you and Anna again... and I think Minotaur's happy too."
Could it be? It was! Minotaur's head whipped around so fast a trail of slobber splattered on the ground, but he didn't care. It was his friend, Anna! He hadn't seen her in so long! The Bulldog's stubby legs couldn't carry him to her side fast enough.
