Veiserde had gotten up early the day, eager to finish his travels to a pride he had heard rumors of. His interests in it were mostly out of curiosity, but also with an intent to join as well. Most of the day had been spent walking, with a few stops here and there to look at various curiosities he had seen along the way. A strange plan, a rather odd looking bug. Each ones studied for a time before being crushed and stuffed in to his mane to further studies at a later time. Shortly after midday he found his path not turning to the whitest of sands, a good sign. His destination was surely not far off now. With renewed enthusiasm he hurried his pace slightly, following the beach up the coast.

He was there, in the pride. Sitting, slightly hunched over with his back facing the sun. His forward was casting a rather long shadow before him. He'd been like that for hours just watching the shadow move. That was what rocks did...they did nothing. He didn't even notice anyone approbations him. Just the movement of the shadow. It wouldn't have bothered him either way. He was a rock- they did nothing.

As he neared closer these lands of the pride he had been looking for he saw ahead of him another lion. The other lion did not appear to be doing anything at all, just sitting hunched over and staring at who knows what. Veiserde approached him as he came closer, eyes shifting from the lion to the ground ahead of him, trying to figure out what the stranger was looking at. After a moment at staring at the ground he looked back at the strange lion and quirked a brow. “Excuse me, but could you tell me if I happen to be going the correct direction? I have been in search of a pride I heard was situated here.” He questioned, wondering it this fellow was part of the pride he was after.

"Direction?" He repeated back questioningly. "Down..." That was the way all rocks went when they rolled. So he supposed he wanted to go that way. But they were on flatland so it was hard for either of them to roll downwards. This left Jabali slightly confused. "No move." Because he couldn't roll down that was the obvious answer to the question. His eyes focused down on the ground again. Even if the insanity curse had been lifted; living in this place his entire life had scarred his mind.

“Down?” Veiserde asked, looking curiously back at the ground below, and then around them. Did he literally mean down, or perhaps he had actually meant something else by this? it was not until the lion spoke further that Vei looked back at him. No move? The lion continue to sit there, hunched over, and didn’t move. “Not a very helpful fellow, are you.” He spoke, not so much asking as speaking to himself.
Veiserde walked around to the front of the lion and crouched down, eyes squinting as he looked the other lion in the face. The rumors of this pride had mentioned a previous affliction upon them, though he had heard that it had dissipated and was no longer upon the lands. However if that was the case then it surely was till upon some of the residents. After a moment of wondering how long this guy had been in the lands he sat up. “Don’t suppose you can at least tell me if these lands are the territory of a pride or not?” Vei asked, hoping for at least some useful information. If he at least knew this then he could assume he had indeed gone the correct way.

Jabali blinked as the other appeared in his shadow. Oh now he could see him. It was a lion! "Pride?" He still didn't move. Yes he knew of a pride. That was were the other rocks lived aside himself. "Yes. Jabali show. But you must carry Jabali. Jabali has no legs." He still couldn't comprehend that he was a LION and not a rock. "Or could push and possibly roll Jabali down. Down is a direction that one want go in...yes?"

This one was definitely a bit off. The previous affliction must not have left all in the pride, or maybe this lion was just a bit crazy on his own. Whichever the case Veiserde looked away from him and down the beach. He doubted that ‘down’ was the correct way they needed to go, and by that could only assume that continuing along the beach would eventually land him where he was going. However his attention fell back on the hunched lion who was expecting to be moved. Veiserde was not fond of the idea of carrying this guy, nor did he want to attempt to roll the lion around.
An idea came to him and he moved to the stranger’s side and pushed him, turning the lion as best he could to face the direction Veiserde had been walking towards. “As much as I would love to carry you upon my back, I simply don’t think I could manage such a feat alone. Perhaps you could simply tell me if the direction you are now facing is the way I must go so I can be on my way?”

He frowned at the thought. How was he supposed to move without the other lion pushing him. He had NO LEGS! He frowned slightly the only real movement he had done since the other met him. "On your way? Direction is down." Prehaps if he understood better he could have told the other lion that he was IN the prides territory that he was looking for. But Jabali was dumb...as a rock.

Veiserde let out a sigh. it was plainly obvious that he was not going to get anything more than that from this lion, at leas short of picking the guy up on is back and carrying him off. That, however, he had no intention of doing. “Well thank you anyways.” Veiserde replied and turned away, deciding to continue in the the direction he had been going in before. Perhaps he could find someone more helpful if he kept on this way, if he didn’t happen to stumble across the place on his own before then.

Jabali didn't even turn his head to watch him leave. The ground was far more entertaining to him. Though he couldn't understand where the other lion was going any way. Home was right here. "Down." He remarked to himself as his body seamed to flump into the ground without care. 'Down' he snuggled into the dirt warmly making a nitche.
