"My father was not enough for you?" he growled as he swiftly leaped over a log he had just seen as he ran faster. He pushed the thought out of his head before it took over and sleep would not come to him. He was not sure he would be able to keep the anger from rising inside of him, he struggled to contain it. Sometimes it just lashed out and sometimes he could look at the brighter things in life.
His eyes finally caught sight of hill with rocky cliffs, he turned to head in that direction. He had no doubt he would find a safe secure shelter here, just something to stay in till the storm passed over. As he slowed his walk he glanced around looking for one his size. As he spotted one as he rounded a rock it had a low roof but was spacious enough for two or three wolves. He gave a quick sniff to make sure it was clear before he entered. He had made that mistake once of not checking for others.
He made his way across the cold rocky earth, he did not have time to make it comfy so he quickly curled up and tucked his nose and paws close trying to create any warmth possible. Outside the cave he heard the rain starting to pound on the earth and the thunderous booms that were followed by flashes that lit up the cave. He closed his eyes and tried hard to make sleep come to him but it was too late, his mind was wondering. He lifted his head and watched the water trickle down the caves walls, he became lost in thought.
