It actually really annoyed me that they A) didn't explain why it was happening and that B) they didn't tell us how they fixed it.

At first that guy's face was a little... odd. But by the end I though he was just adorable. (And he did kind of look like a lion...)

I agree, they didn't even seem to have to trouble to fix it. It was all about their strange jealousy of having random out of control orgasms where ever you go. It really didn't sound like something that could be fixed by surgery but I guess it had to be in the surgical wing to be a storyline.

about the random orgasms, did you look on the abc website? They have a whole page explaining the medical procedures and how they are fixed for almost every episode.
