The pridelands had been the right choice after all. It was pleasant and full of other lions, friendly to rogues and quite a few of the females were simply stunning. It was even close to the Kusini lands, which was a plus if Atilla ever wished to go visit his family there. He'd heard from his uncle that Imre held quite a resemblance to his late mate, and because of this he couldn't help but spot a few lions in the land that eerily seemed as though they were probably part of his family. He had no one to ask though, and no real way of knowing except if he were to go right up to them and ask about their family line. No way in hell would he ever start a conversation like that, though.
Though they weren't 'officially' members yet, it was hard not to feel at home in the lush lands. Every one was very inviting... well, mostly everyone. Some lions seemed a bit hesitant of outsiders, but they were the minority. Atilla had hear a little gossip and mention of a battle having happened not long ago, but that too he did not know the full details of. "Aaah~ This place be nice." He mumbled, laying on his back in the grass with a goofy grin on his face. Imre was near by, or so he hoped. He hadn't really looked anywhere but the sky for a while, he just assumed his companion would not simply wander off without telling him.
Maybe he would, actually.
It didn't matter, they'd find each other much easier within the borders now, and Atilla was sure at some point he'd feel the need for some alone time. He hadn't yet though, no matter how often Imre annoyed him with his logical answers and his knack for always being right.
The two males had situated themselves near the border, neither having any obligations to attend to. Atilla could lounge like he was doing all day, even into the night. The sun was warm and making him a bit sleepy, his thoughts drifting randomly through past memories and to lions he'd met on his journey, to Imre and to his newly met family in Kusini. Life was good!

Ahui had heard of the pridelands before, a few times, actually, but had never expected it to be such a nice place. She had just crossed the borders not long ago, and had already seen a few lions, but, for whatever reason, had not wanted to approach (and it seemed, perhaps fortunately, none had noticed her, somehow). She could see the Pride Rock, still huge, even though it was a fair distance away, and she could also see...
A lion, lazing in the grass.
Now, Ahhuiliztli had been raised better than just sneaking about in another pride's territory, even if they were still not too deep into it, and so decided that this lion seemed relaxed enough. Maybe he wouldn't mind a rogue coming over and asking him a bit about his home. "Hello there!" She greeted cheerfully as she approached, because she supposed a cheerful greeting was usually a good one. She figured she'd wait for him to answer her greeting before bombarding him with more questions, however.

Imre was rather happy that Atilla had decided that they would be staying in this pride. It wasn’t that the darker of the two lions disliked traveling with his friend, it was just that he preferred being safe. A pride had all the stability one would need. Luckily for the two, the passing word of the epic battle between lion and hyena was something that was long gone before they had arrived. Even if something so dangerous as that war hit, Imre likely wouldn’t pick a new pride over this one. The Kusini would have been a close one, but the fact that Atilla was freaked out about the red lioness’ stories about the maze of a forest that guarded the lands was something he didn’t know if he could handle.
Roaming the lands, Imre had left his friend snoozing in the lush grass of the lands. He had only returned a few moments, though already it seemed the coffee colored male was conversing with someone.
He approached a bit with caution, knowing how close they were to the borders of the lands. Though he didn’t believe that this gal was hostile, for the sake of the cream colored female the two had met not but a few days prior he didn’t want to chance anything.
Still, Imre held a smile on his maw, waiting for a pause in their speaking before he found it his turn to talk.

His ears flickered when he heard the greeting and he shifted, rolling over. "Hmm?" His tail flicked to the left as his gaze slid over a nice, light colored lioness. His gaze widened a little as he got to her front legs, they were a pretty green-blue color, and she had the oddest shapes in bright orange and red. He'd seen a few lions with unnatural colors since his and Imre's arrival in the pridelands, but none with such a nice pairing of the natural colors and the bright, unnatural colors.
"Ello!" He replied back, looking around after his greeting. Where the heck was Imre? He frowned slightly but shook it off, they couldn't spend every moment together. "Lovely day, innit?" He grinned, standing and stretching. They were close enough to the border that she could have been a rogue, but also they were new enough to the lands that she could also be a member of the pride. "'m Atilla, Do yeh live 'ere as well?" As he glanced around again he caught sight of Imre. "Ah!" his face brightened and he glanced to the female and motioned to the darker pelted male. "An' tha's Imre, we came to the Pridelands toge'er."

She didn't at first notice Imre, not expecting another lion to show up quite so soon. "It is a lovely day!" She agreed happily, because Ahuiliztli was exactly the sort of lioness that could get pretty happy about that sort of thing. As she was going to introduce herself, the brown lion spoke again, and now she did notice the darker one. Well, it was kind of hard not to notice someone that was being introduced to you.
"Oh!" She said, and stepped to the side, not really to get away, but merely so that Imre could step in and join Atilla, if he wanted to. "It's nice to meet you both! I'm Ahuiliztli." It was a bit of a mouthful, though. "But you can call me Ahui, or Liz. Or anything." She was okay with other made up nicknames.
"I don't live here, no. I..." Well, maybe she did want to join and live in a nice place like the pridelands, but she didn't know for sure yet. "Have you two been here for long?"

Imre took the opportunity to scurry right near Atilla, sitting next to his friend as his tail curled around his front paws. As the coffee-color male introduced him, the darker male flashed a smile to the lioness. “Pleasure to meet you as well, Ahuiliztli.” He didn’t know if he would be able to remember her full name, so the male would definitely be sticking to one of her nicknames if he got to know her better. But, being as this was their first meet, it was only polite to call her by her full name.
Imre tilted his head at her response. It was like she was going to say something, but stopped herself, and changed the subject. He spoke not a moment after she had asked a question. “We have not,” he gestured with a shaking of the head. “Just a few days here, but already I think we both can agree it’s a home to us.” His bright blue eyes gazed at Atilla for confirmation of what he spoke.

Ah, he was much more comfortable once Imre was at his side. Not that he wasn't comfortable before, but it was almost easy to tell he felt a different kind of comfortable entirely. With Imre at his side he did not have to constantly glance around for threats, or worry about his safety. That, and he just felt more like himself. He felt like he could be silly or goofy or embarrassing even, and none of it would matter because he knew Imre would always except him for who he was.
"Ahuiliztli..." He repeated after Imre, eyebrows climbing a bit because it was a mouthful! But it was a pretty name, and certainly one that was fun to say. "Be' tha' gave yeh trouble as a cub." He stated, grinning because he meant this as a joke of sorts. "Bu' it be a very beautiful name fer a very beautiful lioness." He finished, tail flicking.
His ears perked as she admitted being a rogue, something that didn't bother Atilla. Mostly because they'd just been rogues only a few days past, but he doubted he'd care about that sort of thing even if he'd grown up in the lands. He let Imre answer her question, just smiling. As he glanced to Imre he was thrilled the other was looking for him, and he nodded his head to the other in agreement. He resisted butting his head against Imre's shoulder. The mood would most certainly be ruined if he did something like that in front of the female.
"How long 'ave yeh been travlin' Ahui? Been outta my pride before my full man was even in." He chuckled at this. "Bu' glad teh 'ave found such a warm, acceptin' place to settle in again." Though Atilla was the kind of lion that didn't mind traveling from place to place, he knew Imre would prefer not to. So pride it was, because a bit of stability was also nice.

Well that was very nice that they had found a home for themselves. And even though they now knew she was a rogue, they hadn't seemed bothered by it, which helped Ahui relax. The pridelands really were a friendly place! "Yes, it gave me plenty of trouble!" Her siblings couldn't even pronounce it for a while, and her cousins would tease her by just making random sounds when calling her. But she had never cared, because in some ways she agreed.
"Umm... Well, I was never really part of a pride to begin with." It wasn't a 'real' pride, it had been her parents and the families of her mothers' sisters. At least to Ahui it didn't seem like a real pride, especially not compared to the pridelands.

Atilla was definitely more of the flirt of the pair. He was more open with giving compliments to the strangers they would meet along their travels, while he on the other hand, was more of the background. It was just the way that it had always been. This was the likely reason that both he and Atilla got along so well to begin with.
“Never been a part of a pride?” It was strange to hear that. Normally somewhere along the lines one had to be a part of one somewhere. Growing up in the lifestyle he did, the idea was almost foreign to him. There were so many prides hunkered about lately, it wasn’t hard to take residency in one of them.
Then again, every pride was different. There could be those specific reasons for not ever being part of one.
“You should check some out. Atilla and I can show you around this one… if you are interested?” Imre offered. He didn’t quite know if the lioness wanted to join a pride to begin with, but he best to offer? Though, truth be told, the two of them probably weren’t the best of tour guides.

Atilla's mind set was very similar to his companions, especially considering they'd been born to the same pride. So he understood the slightly confused tone of Imre's voice and nodded in agreement. For Atilla... he could see the appeal of living the life of a rogue. But he could also understand the want of a whole pride to back up up. It was like having an extended family... like an enforced safety net.
His ears perked when Imre offered a tour and he grinned at the female. "Aye, this place is really beautiful. Specially the view from the rock." He nodded vaguely back in the direction of the pride. "Yeh can see jus'bout everythin' from there." Well. You could see quite a bit! But Atilla hadn't spent much time up on it, mostly just when they'd greeted some of the royals. He was very fond of the tall grasses and the little glow bugs that seemed to play hide and seek in them.
He waited for her reply, sitting himself down even though it was likely they'd be walking in a second. There was no harm being shown around, right? Who wouldn't want the privilege of a tour guide?

She tilted her head, because, unlike these two males, never having been part of a pride was more normal to her than otherwise. She had always been a rogue! Pride-people were the weird ones. Well, different ones. Not weird. Besides, she was honestly considering becoming a pride-person. "That sounds like a wonderful idea!" Ahulitzli would be very happy to see more of this pride, it seemed very nice.
But... "Are you sure it wouldn't be a problem? I won't want to get you in trouble!" She didn't know what the Pridelands policy on rogues inside the territory was, and would feel just awful if she put these two males in hot water on her account. Especially because they were new to the pride themselves!

His ears were perked forward until the lioness seemed to hesitate. He shouldn’t blame her, after all, the three of them had just met. Who would want to accept some kind of help from strangers? There could be some hesitations there.
He glanced at Atilla. He was sure they wouldn’t get in trouble. Even though they had just recently become members of the pride, they hadn’t gotten the other male in trouble who had showed them into the lands. The pride seemed pretty lax when it came to rogues. As long as they showed no ill tension to the pride, there seemed no reason not to trust them. This lioness didn’t seem to have any ill reason against the lands, so they should be safe!
So he thought, that was.
“I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be a problem…?” He murmured. Atilla would give the more direct answer.

Atilla grinned at both his long time friend and the refreshingly new female, nodding along with their words. It wasn't as though Atilla knew the rules better than Imre or anything, he was just more self-assured and confident that if they were breaking a rule it wasn't going to be the end of the world.
At least, he hoped so!
"Bah, wha's life withou' abit o' trouble?" He cried out, chuckling and wagging his eyebrows as if the idea was something to fancy rather than turn away from. "Sides, I see no 'arm in showin' the lands off a bit, yeh don' seem like a spy." He laughed here too, at how ridiculous the thought was to the coffee pelted lion. He gave a more serious face as he leaned toward the female. "Yeh do no be one, righ?" He said in a hushed tone, but he was just teasing again.
He began to walk, nodding to indicate that they should follow. ((Should we wrap this up with a post from you both? heart ))

Ahuiliztli glanced hopefully at Imre, then at Atilla. A tour sounded so lovely! She was definitely sure she didn't want them in trouble, but the two males were being so friendly, and all, and at least the darker of the two didn't think it would be a problem.
The way Atilla handled it was amusing, and the lioness couldn't help but giggle slightly at the notion. "Nope! Not a spy." She grinned, swishing her tail behind her. Though the coffee-colored male didn't really say they were moving off, she caught on quickly enough, politely waiting for Imre to start moving before going along with them.
((Sounds good to me <3))

Imre couldn’t help but chuckle out loud when Atilla asked if the female was a spy. The darker male didn’t think she’d be a spy; after all, she was the one worried about not getting in trouble. That wasn’t very ‘spyish’ is she was.
The male began to follow the coffee colored male, flashing a smile to the female once again. The two males were seemingly pretty lucky lately with the ladies. Even though the two were in a totally different pride from which they were born from, he thought soon they may just end up like it, with as many girls they were meeting.
