After some distance and placing her past behind her, the green lioness wanted to start afresh and new. Lime green eyes glanced here and there as she let out a soft sigh. Na'ilah had no idea where she was going, not that it mattered much to her any way. She always figured that as long as her paws took her from one place to another, she didn't question them. Just as the grass was beginning to become greener and more lush did she stop. In the passing breeze as the sea of green rippled before her, she gazed out into the distance. Faint scents clung to the air, none of which she knew though it was no surprise to her. A small smile donned her features as she wondered if she'd get to meet others.

Somewhere not far from the green lioness was a tan adolescent, who seemed interested in looking out over the border of the lands to which she'd lived in her entire life. She'd been exploring out beyond there recently, now that they were firmly set in her head, but not today. No, today the green-eyed princess was content with sitting still, a habit which she would not be keeping for long. Rehani was surprised to find that the thought of children had her thinking, wondering, and had calmed her down a little bit. She didn't want this state to last, as she was rather quite bored, but just didn't feel like playing right now.

Ears perked forward as a particularly strong scent caught Na'ilah's attention rather quickly. Hm, did she stumble onto a pride's territory? Lime green eyes scanned the area before settling on a tiny figure just off in the distance. Na'ilah flicked her tail slightly before taking some cautious steps in the other's direction. Calling out in a light voice, "Hello?" Better make her presence known now rather than later.

A voice snapped her clean of her thoughts. She peered over the green grass, searching for the maker of the voice. If it weren't for the golden markings on her, Rehani would have been looking for the green lioness for a little while more. "Hello!" She called back out, getting to her feet as she started walking towards the adult.

Taking the reply as an invitation, Na'ilah made her way over to the other and noticed it was lioness just a tad smaller than herself. Stopping a few feet from the other, she inquired, "I have been wandering for a while...have I trespassed?" Tail flicked from side to side as she had a small smile donned on her features.

Rehani smiled, giving a nod. "You've passed over the Pridelands border, yes. May I ask your name?" She inquired, her head tilting to the side slightly. She sat down, not thinking that this lioness was going to hurt her. Her tail twitched a few times before lying perfectly still on the ground.

The Pridelands...now, that didn't ring a bell to the green lioness. At the question, Na'ilah gazed at the other and gave her name, "Oh, I did not mean to! I'm Na'ilah." She couldn't help but give a sheepish laugh afterward, how silly was she! She should have realized that with all these scents meant that there was a pride here. Lime green eyes averted slightly to the scenery, taking it all in. It was quite pretty, she admitted to herself silently before giving her attention back to the lioness before her.

"It's perfectly okay. You aren't the first rogue to cross the borders, and I'd make a pretty strong guess that you won't be the last." Rehani replied. At the mention of other female's name, her eyes almost lit up. "That's such a pretty name! I'm Rehani."

Well, that helped to relieve the tension that Na'ilah was beginning to feel at the idea of being in another's pride territory, but the fact that there were other rogues here also helped. That small smile grew as the other spoke, "Oh! Well, I guess I picked a friendly place to wander into then!" Her tail flicked at the word before she giggled at the other, "Thank you. It is a pleasure to meet you, Rehani and your name is just as pretty!" Nodding her head after the reply, the green lioness sat down just across from Rehani. Well, this was shaping up to be a good start indeed.

The tan female nodded. "It is friendly, or has been to me. Then again, I know little of anyplace else. I was born here." Ah yes, this land was her homeland. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well." Rehani said politely. "If you don't mind me asking, where are you from?"

The tip of her tail flicked slightly as Na'ilah listened to Rehani talk about the pride here. It did sound nice to her. At the question, lime green eyes looked towards the other before she replied, "From the south is where I come from. Many things happened there and I decided it was best that I leave." She smiled softly before a question came to mind, "Are there many here in this pride?"

"I'll ask no more." Rehani promised. No need to pry where Na'ilah might not be comfortable. At the lioness's question, Rehani had to think. Many? "I suppose so. There are quite a few of us, with more on the way."

At the statement from Rehani, a wry smile spread across her maw as she flicked her tail. "I am not ashamed of it," Na'ilah looked down at her paws, then to the grass before shifting her lime green gaze to Rehani once again, "To be in a place that doesn't except you for who you are, is no place I want to live. I'm sure you've taken in my pelt and the odd color that I don, which was the very thing that kept others from being acquainted with me." It was true though, the green lioness didn't always have the friendliest of times in her past, being such a outcast with her green pelt. But, she was still friendly and open. Tilting her head slightly as lime green eyes widen, "More on the way...you mean cubs? I love cubs! They have a never-ending supply of energy." A soft laugh escaped.

"They didn't like you because you're green? It makes no sense." The adolescent seemed puzzled. Excluding someone because of the color of their fur was wrong. Na'ilah had no choice at birth to be green in the same way Rehani hadn't chosen to be tan. Not to mention the fact that the green fur probably helped her blend in with green grass, making her a better huntress. Some lions... "Yeah, cubs," Rehani grinned. "The energy is the best and scariest part about them, if I was to guessing."

Lying down, Na'ilah placed her paws infront of her while she kept her attention on Rehani. Shaking her head, "The logic escapes me too!" Thinking back, a nostalgic smile spread across her features, "Oh yes...I remember watching the cubs quite a while back. I'd have to agree though...And, most need to have a lot of patience since they need to learn so much," Looking towards Rehani, her tail flicked, "The best thing is watching them grow and learn as well as playing games with them!"
