Enqueri had been traveling alone for sometime now. Not that he minded the quiet, he enjoyed in fact. It was just at times like these that he missed having someone to talk too. Wincing he picked up a high pitched awful noise, and when he looked at the source he found... that is was just the flapping of a birds wing. That was another thing. Frowning he looked ahead of himself as he pondered about what was up with the sensory spikes he got more frequently now. Someone in the corner of his eye caught his attention and then there was this sense of zoning coming upon him. He was scared, he didn't want to get lost or fixed on one thing for too long. It wasn't safe to do that... who knew what was hidden and could attack him when he was vulnerable. His last thought was an internal fear and then nothing.

A sound had gotten his attention. His body was sore, like he had been in this position for a long time. Feeling sluggish he took in his surroundings to find that most of the day had past him by while he was frozen. The sun was now setting instead of rising. What had cause this to happen? He looked around carefully not wanting to go through his spell again... water. The reflection of the water had caused the shine that he had zoned out on.

"I fall to pieces each time someone speaks your name. I fall to pieces time only adds to the flame. You walk by and I fall to pieces." Shaman sang out in an almost angelic voice as there was a bit of gruffness to her tone. That only added to her charm. She had started her day off by cleaning by the watering hole and relaxing with friends of hers that she hadn't seen in a long time. After a while she had gotten restless and decided it was time to move on. She had said goodbye to those she had been conversing with and started off on her daily walk. The day itself was quite lovely and it had brought a smile to her face as stray sunbeams seemed to shine down on her skin. The breeze felt lovely as it moved through her fur and caused it to get messier than it was this morning. Shaman wasn't too concerned about appearance and didn't mind the scruffy look.

This is where she had found herself at this moment humming and singing an old song her mother used to sing to her when she was was a pup. It had been sometime since she had seen her mother as she tended to move around alot. Her mother did love to travel, but thinking about her mother often brought an ache to her heart as Naomi rarely ever thought of Shaman or see her and it hurt.

After spending a quite sometime mopin- um manfully contemplating what to do about his sense Enqueri decided it was high time to move away from the water incase it distracted him again. Suddenly he could here a noise coming from the right, but who knew how close it was as often times something that was close up sounded far away and sometimes things that were far away sounded real close. His sharp blue eyes seemed to pierce the fast approaching darkness around him. His ears perked and lean muscled body ambled along the dirt path grimacing now and then.

Finally he decided nothing was gained by standing around wandering and waiting for distaster to strike. Moving onward he tried to focus all thought on not loosing focus when a scent picked up on the wind and all went calm. Eyes widening he felt himself relax, his senses working as one and not against eachother. How could a scent so powerful do this to him? Not wanting to loose the scent he moved faster, singing was heard now and he pushed faster only to stop in aw... a goddess within the woods before him. Her fur coat the color of silver and black looking so wild that the wind itself could not tame it. He took in a sharp breath as beautiful blue eyes meet his and he forgot to breath out. He was struck dumb even as he knew she wasn't of one of his species.

Humming for a while now Shaman was mostly in her own world until the sound of leaves thrashing about broke her from her thoughts as well as stopping her singing. " Oh," She exhaled softly as she took her fill of the handsome feline before her. She had seen nothing like him before. There he stood in all his male glory and feline attributes and there was this almost click or connection she had never felt before with anyone. "I've never seen you before... at least not around these parts and that is understandable as there are more places to live than just here. Though this area is known for the better conditions in weather and the healthier food source." She broke off laughing and moved closer to the male. " Oh just listen to me rambling on and on here! My name is Shaman and who would you be?" Shaman was not one to shy away from the fierceness of Enqueri's expression, she always liked a challenge... to a point. Sometimes you can only bash your head against the wall so much without it causing damage.

Shaman almost laughed outloud again at the overwhelmed look on the males face at her speaking. She knew her personality was a bit upbeat and she did like to ramble which tended to overwhelm a species if they didn't know her or was used to her vocal skills.

Enqueri felt like he would never sick of watching such a lovely creature and then she opened her mouth. Yes her words were a bit rushed, but he found him smiling and frowning at her jumbled words. " Shaman," He tested the words curtly outloud before continuing. " I am Enqueri." He stopped there not really knowing what else to say and he saw his... yes his female struggling not to smile. He was a possessive b*****d, but not in a harmful way. He knew when to draw the line, it was just the moment he saw her he knew... there was this connection, he wanted cherish, provide for her, and care for her the rest of his life. Weird he knew, to feel so strongly about a total stranger, but even his senses seemed to settle around the presences of this female.

He watched as she came closer towards him and his eyelids seemed to flutter at their own accord when the natural scent of Shaman seemed to fill his senses. Spice and floral. He had never felt like this before, "Hungry." The word was blurted out awkwardly before he could stop it causing him to blush before continuing " I meant are you hungry?" Enqueri had never been one for making small talk... or talking for that matter, so it really surprised him that he was making an effort.

Shaman watched handsome male she now knew as Enqueri. " Nice to meet you Enqueri." She swayed closer to him as if drunk on the very scent of him and smiled almost in a doppy manner. It felt like Shaman had known Enqueri for a lot longer than mere minutes, they were strangers and yet there was just something about him that screamed out comfort as well as happiness if she just gave him a chance. She shook herself to break away from her silly thoughts not wanting to scare away this male who could be so much more. His next words brought a smile to her face as they were a bit awkward... like he wasn't one to make conversation or small talk. Hey she wasn't one to judge manners or species.

" Sure I can go for something to eat, it has been sometime since my last meal today. Do you have a place in mind or shall we just wander around until something comes upon us?" She spoke while watching his expression and body mannerisms. It was almost comical by the expression upon his face when she asked him what to do. "I am fine with anything you choose, so you needn't worry."

He felt silly and cub-like in behaviour. He did not like it one bit.. to act like a child stumbling about this gorgeous creature. Enqueri mentally shook himself off when he caught the laughter in her eyes and the growing smile creeping on her face. "Alright, I know of a place we can checkout and there are plenty of thing to eat. Fish, fruits, plants, and so on. You can follow me." The ' I won't let anything harm you' seemed to be implied by his tone of voice. "As too your earlier question. No, I am not from around here. I recently found this area as I have traveled all over the rogue lands, and decided it was time to settle down. My senses seem to be working fine her-" He froze when the words left his lips. He was so comfortable with this female that he had forgotten about the secrecy of his senses. "I mean who wouldn't when I am in the presence of someone so lovely. I think we are almost there!" Enqueri picked up a bit more pace at the discomfort of Shaman finding out about his oddness.

Now that he thought about it his senses seemed to have toned down a little not nearly as bad as it had been last night. Could he have found his true lifemate? He tilted his head at the possibility. He recalled his mother telling him about the tribal stories of old. That was how his mother and father had meet too, though they were of the same species. His father always did say he never did things easy. His mother had all five sense heightened but when in the presences of his father they seemed manageable. Sadly after his father passed on his mother had lain down beside him and followed him into the afterworld. It had been a sad time in his life, as he was only an adolescent then. But Enqueri had accepted what happened and when he was old enough to provide for himself. He used to sit back at night and hope to have the same relationship with his future lifemate when he had found her sharing with her the good and bad, to have a love like his parents.

Shaman raised an eyebrow at the wording of his sentences, and she didn't miss the stumbling of the sentencing either as she was one who liked to observe things. " Alright Enqueri that sounds wonderful." Shaman was charmed by this grumpy social-less male, but underneath it all she senses a good era and she was never wrong when it came to things such as that. Feeling a bit brave and reckless she came closer to Enqueri and nudged him with her tail before wandering away with the sway of her hips.

When she didn't hear the sound of his paws following she turned her head back to see him still frozen in place with what appeared to be shock. "Well are you coming big guy?" Amusement coated her voice along with concern.

The sway of her body seemed to render him emobled for a moment before her sassy mouthed words caught up with him and brought a smile to his usual smober face. "I'm coming, I'm coming. Hold your...horses." At his corny pun he caught Shaman's eyeroll and silently chuckle. Man it felt good to make a pretty female smile. " So, you seeing anyone- er I mean do you have a mate or some male waiting for you back home?" As soon as the words were out his brows furrowed and he frowned at the possibility at having competition or her having another to go too.

He kept pace with her while talking and waited for his response. When none was forth coming he realized she had stopped a ways back and by the looks of it he had shocked her with his blunt questions. " I was just wanted to know is all. So I can make my intentions clear and so I know who has to be weeded ou-" He paused here to cough embarassedly, his social awkwardness peeking through once more with each word he made.

What a lame line Shaman thought to herself chuckling at his attempt at making her smile, but it worked though. His next words made her freeze both mentally and physically for a few minutes. She mouthed the words 'weed out' finding humor in them before she spoke calmly. "Nope its just little ol' me and my mother big guy." Her eyebrows rose at his forwardness, but she found that she kinda like a take charge kinda-male... well sometimes in anycase. "Why? You interested?" Her voice deepend out huskily. She turned to look at him, and blinked in surprise when he nodded. She had be joking of course, but seeing as he really was interested Shaman thought of the possibilities.... and she liked what she thought. Though they did have some issues to work out with... I mean hello different species and all. They did have a while to figure this out, and she was a forever kinda gal after all. She would be sure to let Enqueri know this upfront as soon as their meal was through.

A rare warmth took over her body, a feeling that everything was going to be okay and that she had made the right decision with getting to know this male better.

When questioned if he was interested he nodded his head in agreement at the possibility of having her as his mate. She was pleasing to look at and her attitude didn't bug his senses or get on his nerves. He could honestly see himself with her, but he didn't want to scare her off with his feelings at the moment so he would wait it out. " Yes I am very interested in getting to know you better if you will allow it Shaman." His tone sincere, his expression serious. Enqueri was tired of being alone, he had been alone for so long without family or friends... he wanted to find his certain someone and possibly adopt a cub or pup or two. " But for now let us learn about each other, I would like that very much and to say this may sound strange but I am going to say it anyways... it feels as if I have known you for some time."

He lead her to a secluded area to feast on fruits and a small pond to drink from incase thirst came upon them. "We are here, come let us eat, talk, and rest in this area. I often come here to enjoy the atmosphere, and now it will be a place of good memories." He turned to look at her, his moon goddess. Her coat and hair seemed to gleam from the moon's light, giving her an angelic appearance. Enqueri found himself breathless for a few minutes, his eyes lost focus until the sound of her voice brought him out of a zone. His eyes widen that was the fastest recovery he had ever had, and he knew that she was the one.

She blinked at his next words shocked at what he was saying. She knew she should feel creeped out by what he was telling her but she found herself in agreement. She did feel better with him in her presence as well as safe and content. "I would like to get to know you too Enqueri." She watched as emotions seemed to flicker across his face, and knew that their road would be difficult as it seemed Enqueri kept everything to himself among other things. Luckly for him Shaman enjoyed challenges, especially when she won in the end. Before she knew it they had arrived to a small paradise. She looked around in awe and smiled softly before turning towards Enqueri only to see him staring at her intently. "Enqueri?" She watched as he blinked and shuddered back to life.

"It's so beautiful here." Shaman spoke after sometime of content silence. The stars sparkled above them as they lay on the cool grass, and the sound of the water lapping against the earth was soothing. Yawning quietly she boldly cuddled into her male companion, and giggled sleepily as he purred. Almost as if in a trance she reached over to nudge his cheek with her nose and nuzzled into his spotted neck affectionately. Yes, she could get used to this and she had a feeling Enqueri could too.
