Regeneration
Vampires- die when are stabbed in the heart except for the special few (pm me and dragy.)
Angels- Can be killed if they give there lives too save some one. Or use too much of there power.

I'd like to add:
All races:
If there's too much energy used, you're going to feel it. depending on the amount you'll know the consequences. though there are a few special occasions, related to the plot.
Timelords:
A timelord is actually a special character, and can regenerate after a deadly wound. thing is, that they become a completely different person. the only thing that will not change is the past, what they remember, and the most basic aspects of their personality. they can regenerate 11 times.
Dragons:
Dragons have great strength, but they also have several weaknesses at other point. once they are wounded with a certain type of magic, or use too much power they become powerless.
Demons:
These are very similar in rules. then again, there are always a few special occasions. though a demon would rarely sacrifice him/her/itself to save another.
humans:
Humans can grow a variety of powers, and also have potential to become quite strong, but these have a lot of physical limits. their greatest strength is their adaptability, but it's also their greatest weakness. their abilities as a race are too varied to rise above the other races.
Note that more additions may or may not be made.

Elves:
looked down appon by humans. There are two diffrent typs of elv's one being Dalish nomads of the forest who have'nt been seen since the destruction of the circle of magei and the chantrey . they worship the god of the hunt. Then there are the calmon city elvis who are looked down apon by other racses. they live in the lowest parts of the citys. they arn't allowed to hold weapons. elves know are shorter then humans
Past:
The city of Riverdane is were the majestic elves lived long ago. skilled in marksmen ship. They were the only race who wasen't dragon, demon, and or angel and was inmortale. (lord of the rings background style)
