The dorm halls were probably the loudest they had ever been for centuries. While the rooms themselves were relatively generous, each of them bachelor-sized with their own private kitchen and bathroom, the hallways themselves, especially the second floor, were crammed both with Hunters and supplies. Sadly most of them were preparation supplies: Runic Weapons, bandages, spare Hunter whites: there were very few personal supplies.
Several Hunters stood outside the hallways, talking quietly with each other, glancing curiously at new and old arrivals. A couple of familiar faces hung around the dorm halls, notably the death division leader Liam, who seemed to be talking with another Hunter quietly, though the two paid everyone else not much notice, other than the occasional nod when another acknowledged their presence. DORM HALLS ORP Your Hunter can interact with other Hunters in the Dorm Halls. Make sure you QUOTE YOU WHO ARE TALKING TO. To leave, simply write a bold (( EXIT)) OOC post at the top of your post, so everyone knows they have left the dorm halls. - To have your dorm halls enter the dorm halls simply post a bold OOC (( ENTERING DORM HALLS)) at the top of your post.

((ENTERING))
"Aaah, good to be home," sighed Julio as he made his way through the halls of the dorm. It had been awhile since he was last here, and no doubt he was looking forward to spending some time to potentially relax before the big mission tomorrow. It was strange seeing the island so busy, making him wonder just what was going on. It was also a little strange to think that a good number these men and women likely wouldn't be returning to this very place. He just tried not to think too hard on that. It was best to not have a heavy heart when it could very well be his last day.
No matter what, this was going to be big. He could feel it.
"Nothing like ending the millennium with a bang," he mused to himself.

((ENTERING DORM HALLS))
It had been nearly a year since Marshall Reed had last been in the room that was technically his. There was very little in it, and he'd stayed just long enough to trade the book he'd been carrying around for the past year for another off the shelf. A little variety was good, right?
That did not count as variety, Miyako objected. Reading a single book over and over for months was not entertaining. She could have recited the text to him, if she so desired. Which she did not.
"But then I wouldn't be reading it again," Marsh pointed out, quite reasonably, as he stepped back out into the hall and closed the door behind him. Maybe he'd go down to the cafeteria, see if there was anything to eat that wouldn't poison him, or if anyone he knew was around. It was strange to see people in the halls. It was strange to see people at all, after the past six months.

((entering)) Aki swung her door shut. She ran down the hall, shoe laces clattering against the floor, to Nico's door. She hated that their dorms weren't next to each other, hated the inconvenience of running down the hall to get him. They were partners god damn it! She dodged around the few people in the halls. Though normally wide, recently they had been crammed and cluttered with miscellaneous items and supplies. The extra clutter made it hard for her to maneuver. She stopped at Nico's door and began banging on it. Knowing Nico, he was probably still asleep. The sound of her pounding could be heard throughout the hallway. "Nico! Nico, you git, mission." She said while pounding on the door. "We have a mission! Get up already!" Aki paused and let out a whine, "Nicoooo---" before kicking the door once. She hated waiting. though if anyone wants to smack her for being so loud and rude, that's fine with me too XD

Huh...well then. Heidi stood just outside her open doorway staring into her room, head tilted and lips pursed. She'd been gone on assignment for a few months now, collecting information for Liam for a place he wanted them to check out more thoroughly later on. It was because of this that it seemed everything in her room had collected a thin layer of dust.
Oops.
Sighing, Heidi pat her hip and closed the door; she'd go inside later when she felt like sleeping. "Let's go, maybe we can find Liam and give him our findings in person, hm?" She didn't have a fear weapon but Heidi still found it therapeutic to talk to her daggers. She could've sworn she'd seen her leader on her way in. Maybe this way?
Wait. No. Not that way. Heidi's heart skipped a beat and her eyes widened, her jaw clenching tightly. Julio. Ah..um...maybe if she was quick he wouldn't notice her?! She was practiced in stealth! She could do this! Taking a deep breath, Heidi hurried forward with a purpose...until another hunter knocked into her and accidentally shoved her into the man. Crap!

There were a lot of people around so when someone bumped into him, Julio wasn't surprised. What did, however, was finding out that it was Heidi. Raising an eyebrow, he lightly placed his hands on her shoulders to brace her, grinning. "Ah, nice to see you again mamacita. I didn't think you'd be so quick to come running into my arms," he jested. No, he knew Heidi wasn't entirely happy with him. But he was trying to maybe relieve some tension. Perhaps.

New missions were always exciting. Em walked down the halls, her lower caught between her teeth as she bit on it in excitement. She put down her bag, confident that no one in this group was going to try and steal her stuff, and then flared her hands out wide to either side.
"HAPPY NEW MISSION EVERYBODY!" She screamed, before running through the halls giving every single hunter a hug. Men, woman, strangers and friends, none of it mattered. Everybody got a hug, and possibly a slap in the a** if she knew them well enough. She may have also bitten someone, but really, they'd have to have known her really well for that.
"This place is BITCHIN'." She cried out approvingly as she saw inside one of the dorms, whistling in appreciation. "No crappy cots for us this time. I wonder if they creak. Only one way to find out.."
She jumped into the nearest room that wasn't hers, and started jumping on the bed.

Lowe wasn't so sure he liked this strange calm before the storm, the odd sense that something was going to happen and he should be ready for it no matter what. He'd come back to the dorms on the word of it, of this whole idea, and part of him was downright thrilled at the chances that were coming. Wordlessly he slipped through the dorm with his meager bag, not bringing anything with him more than he needed. It was easy enough to travel light, and he was about to turn around and find a room when he stopped paying attention and walked into two people as well.
What the heck was up with people stopping in the hallway, seriously.

[[ entering dorm halls ]]
Flair was already in her dorm, carefully organizing her things. She liked to claim she wasn’t obsessive-compulsive about orderliness, but the hunter knew otherwise. Once she had all of her possessions in place she gently swept the bag underneath her bed and headed for the door and out into the hallway. As she swung the door open she reacquainted herself with the sounds of multiple voices clamoring together. Lips quickly curled into an uneasy scowl while she attempted to navigate her way through the crowd. She wasn’t sure where she was going. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do next either, but soon as Flair heard the all-too-familiar whining of a certain Sun hunter she knew exactly where she should head to first.
She almost hissed when she found Aki banging and kicking the door that led to Nico’s room. “Aki.” Her tone was sharp, disapproving as she glared at the younger woman. Arms crossed as she leaned back and observed Aki. “Have you ever cared to ponder the idea that perhaps he’s not in his room yet?” Flair quirked a brow.

Ugh. Heidi was frowning as Julio held her up, gently pushing off him and swatting a hand away. Only one hand? Oh. He had her with both hands. Well...shoo other hand. Shoo. "Hello, Julio." She greeted him pleasantly enough, though clearly not with as much enthusiasm as she would have when they had been on better terms. "You'd like that wouldn't you." Heidi grumbled, a hand on her hip and gripping the handle of one of her runic daggers; it wasn't a threatening pose, merely a source of comfort. Comfort that was wrecked when she was drive-by hugged by a woman she barely recognized the face of. "...The hell just happened..." She blinked, her ice wall melting for all of a second before she remembered she was in earshot of Julio. Erg. Right. Time to go! She saw Lia-- "GAH!" Once again she found herself tripping into Julio, this time because someone had walked into them. "Watch where you're going!" She hissed, turning to give Lowe a narrow-eyed glare.

There was not much the Sun Hunter wanted to say about Deus Ex Machina. He had at the most, been stationed at the Island for perhaps the first few months post-trainee. There was no nostalgia when everything else was concealed behind memories of the past few missions and the risks of being a Sun Hunter.
Which was why it was almost odd to see everyone in such high spirits, especially those shouting and running down the hallways and - were those people in his assigned dorm room? He blinked, adjusted his glasses, and simply pressed on to the next available one.
Thankfully the growing crowd made him mostly unnoticeable to certain Hunters, he simply walked quickly, looking at the ground.
Caelius Innis was avoiding looking at one Liam Innis.

When was the last time he had been here? Damien couldn't fully remember. He had been moving about so frequently as of late, it was hard to keep track of where he had been. It was good though, to be back in the Dorm halls. It was a place of safely, a place were he could allow himself to be at ease, not having to look over his shoulder all the time encase something was about to sneak up on him.
Although, now that he was here, he found himself with...nothing to do. For a hole day. Perhaps now he should find out what had been happening as of late, or if anyone had any details about this latest mission they were assigned. It seemed like it would be a big one, considering how many hunters were already here.
For now, he amused himself with walking down the hallway towards his dorm room....well, he hoped it was his dorm room. He was having trouble remembering where it was located.
What the hunter had not expected, was someone suddenly running up to him and hugging him
"WHAT THE-" For a moment he had thought he was being attacked, but before he could react she was off, hugging someone else.
"...Right..." he calmed himself down, and went about trying to find his dorm room again.

"Oh, well you know. It's always nice to see a familiar friendly face. Especially with our jobs," he said amiably before moving aside his other hand as well. Glancing down, he eyed the daggers she had rested upon, "I see not much has changed." Before he could say much else, Em had come by and giving him a bite before running on off. "Ah! Good to see you mariposita!" he called out with a wide grin. He'd speak with her later on. Then, as Heidi bumped into him again, he caught her before raising an eyebrow. "Heidi you confuse me. You act so cold and yet you keep falling for me!" he stated with a chuckle, then looking over at the trainee that had caused the bump, "You might want to be a little more careful where you step though. These halls are quite crowded, no?"

Niabi waltz through the door to the dorm rooms in her odd style of two steps forward one step back, eventually turning it into some sort of weird dance. Something that the mist hunter was piratically known for, she hummed as she moved.
Eventually stopping near another and looking around at the people near her. Maybe she should've hit up the cafe` she was hungry. "Oy anyone know what they're serving? I hope it's not goolash. I hate goolash." She added in an undertone.

Aki could almost sense Flair before she heard the patronizing tone of her voice. It was a sense she'd developed. Flair liked to berate her for...well everything. Stupid stuck-up, perfectionist-- The young hunter swung around on her heel. Only to turn face to face with Flair. Not that she had expected anything else given the other's really sharp hearing. She tilted her head. "What do you know, Old hag? I know Nico's in there sleeping. I know him better than you do." And despite knowing how immature it was, she couldn't help but stick her tongue out at Flair. At the mention of food, she turned her head away from Flair, and called out. "I think it's lasagna today!" Cafeteria food was okay, but she didn't really like the goolash and could sympathize. Lasagna, on the other hand, was pretty good.
