User ImageThe rogue lands were hot as usual and the sun above was baking all animals found out in it. Buluu was feeling that baking heat on his white and blue fur. He was in mind to find a cool spot to settle down for a bit but he was hungry and still searching for food. His last attempt in the early morning had failed miserably and almost got him kicked in the face. He would not have been looking for any food if he'd actually felt that blow but he was unconcerned about the close call. He rarely ever worried much about the troubles he had in his life.

He was usually concerned most about where his next meal was at and who that hot cheetah lady was. He did little more than chase tails in a manner of speaking. He'd been traveling ever since he was young and had never really staked out a claim of land to patrol. He didn't see the point. He could always manage to find food and a pretty lady to call out to. His concerns were few and today the concerns he was settling on was finding food and shade to cool off under, whichever came first was the one he was going to deal with.

Today, Raiden had decided he wouldn’t much around his usually way, pretending to be a bird. He was walking in his own true form, horns, wings and all, because he simply couldn’t be bothered to actually fly around at the time. Being a bird had it’s advantages in this head, but… Well, sometimes he did like to show off right from the bat that he was godly. Especially when he was grumpy.

But Raiden, why are you so grumpy? He hated the hot weather. Firstly, because he had black fur, and that just made everything seem hotter. Secondly, because hot usually meant clear blue skies and a lot of sun, and let’s just say the god of thunder preferred a… cloudier weather. He scowled as he walked along, wings spread out for the sake of ventilation. While the god would usually be on the lookout for mortal to pester, he didn’t even notice the cheetah.

Being on the look out for food or shade Buluu spotted the very odd looking lion. Lions to him usually meant pain, danger and pain but this lion was completely unlike any lion he had ever seen before. While the large frame and big fluffy mane plainly said lion the male also had large black wings spread out and horns on his head like a gazelle.

Buluu's sense of danger was still in tact but his curiousity of this wierd looking lion had him frozen and staring at this creature he had never seen before. He almost wondered if the heat was playing tricks on him or if he'd just been without food for too long. The lion didn't seem to notice him at all even though he was walking straight at him. The fact the lion didn't notice him is what made him think he might be imagining things, He was simply seeing things that had to be it,

Eventually Raiden was forced to notice the cheetah, probably because if he didn't he would crash right into it. The 'obstacle' in his path made the god stop and raise his head a little to regard the cheetah. Huh... Why was he just standing there?

"What is wrong with you?" He asked indelicately, with a frown. He wasn't in his best of moods, though he supposed soon enough he'd be ready to play with this mortal a bit. Raiden was always up for some good mostly-harmless fun. The dark lion closed his wings at his sides, then thought better and spread them again, just in case that was what the cheetah seemed so focused on. Mortals, so silly, the first time they saw a god. Honestly, it was a little funny.

Buluu just continued to stare at the strange lion as he walked closer and closer simply unable to wrap his head around the fact that this lion could be real. However he was brought back to his senses when the lion stopped before him and raised his head to look at him. Seeing the lions eyes directed on him seemed to be what he needed to come back down out of lala land or where ever he had gone to.

He leapt back and took a tense pose ready to dash if he had to. "Oh... Wow! You're real?! I thought I was seeing things for a minute.... Um... Crap..." Buluu's eyes darted about now searching for a way to distract the lion so he could get away. This lion was real and was real big too. He had done a very stupid thing by just standing there and letting him get so close. It wouldn't take but a couple of seconds for his life to end where he was at now.

Figures! Mortals could be so dumb sometimes. "And why wouldn't I be real?" He asked, and noted that the cheetah seemed to be looking for an escape route. Perhaps a few seconds ago Raiden would have just let him, but now his mind was already set for a bit of entertainment. So he stepped a bit closer, with the intent of making it harder for the cheetah to run off.

He could technically catch up, if he needed to, because gods were gifted with many handy little abilities, one of them being teleportation. He could also turn himself into a cheetah, but... Keeping up with cheetahs was a pain sometimes, really.

When the lion stepped closer Buluu took a step back trying to keep the same amount of distance between them as there already was. He didn't want to let the lion get any closer and as the lion was advancing it only meant he had best find a way out and quick.

"Uh well... when I saw you I thought I was seeing things cause most lions don't have wings or horns either. Thought I had been out in the heat for a bit too long..." Buluu replied he was unsure that running would get him anywhere but an attempt at it would be much better than just standing here and letting the lion rip him apart with his jaws and claws.

He only waited a couple of seconds after he had spoken before he made a run for it. He put all the power he could muster into his legs to get his speed up to the fastest he had ever run. He wasn't ready to die yet.

Raiden listened to the cheetah with his best I-am-angry-at-you face on, because he was actually beginning to find it pretty funny how scared the cheetah was. Pfft, probably thought he wanted to kill him or something.

As predicted, the cheetah bolted. A little irritating, but oh well. With a sigh, the god vanished from where he once was, and reappeared somewhere in the path the cheetah was running, wings spread out at his sides to make himself look big. "Boo!"

The problem with this is Raiden had reappeared a little close to the cheetah, and he kind of wondered if the smaller cat would be capable of stopping in time.

Buluu had been stupid in believeing the lion was just imaginary but he wasn't stupid enough to think that if the wings he had were real then they had to be usable. His eyes were on the skies when the lion actually appeared in front of him out of thin air.

He didn't even know the lion was in front of him until he plowed right into him at full speed. The impact knocked Buluu out cold and left him as a limp pile of unconscious fur.

Even with all his size and godlyness, a cheetah crashing into his chest at full speed was hardly a pleasant thing for Raiden. He did manage not to fall backwards, but was forced to take a step back and grunt with the impact, followed by a cough. He frowned, about to berate the cheetah on looking where he was going...

"Um..." The god tilted his head. Okay, he had never expected that. He peered down at the white and blue bundle on the savannah floor, surprised by the the outcome of his little game. "Er..." Well then, it seemed cheetah were more delicate than he thought. The god stepped closer, sitting by where the cheetah's head was and proceeding to prod at his face with a paw. "Are you... dead?" That would be a little weird, Raiden had never intended to actually kill him. And mortals didn't come back.

But even he was smart enough to eventually find the cheetah was still breathing. So he shrugged, placing a paw on the cheetahs shoulder to keep it from bolting once it woke up.

Buluu came to not long later only out for a few minutes total. As he became aware of his surroundings the first thing he noticed was the feeling of something on his shoulder. He opened his eyes a little nervous of what he was going to find and as he had feared once his vision clear he was able to see exactly what was on his shoulder.

He raised his head a bit of the ground and turned his gaze up to the large lions face. His own face revealed the nervous feelings he had inside. He knew that if this lion wanted him dead now then he was not going to be seeing another day or another pretty dame. There were no words at all in his mind he was simply waiting for the lion to make his next move. He was even holding his breathe unconsciously.

Raiden watched as the cheetah came to, and for a few moments simply looked back down at him with a cold, emotionless face. Then he slowly leaned down, until their faces were rather close to each other, almost as if he intended to take a bite out of the cheetah's. "You..." He began, with an ominous voice (something very easy for the god of thunder to do.

"Should see you face! Really, it looks like this." And in the blink of an eye the god's face had changed, looking almost exactly like the cheetah trapped beneath his paw, but with a perhaps more exaggerated fearful expression. "Waaaaah!"

Buluu's expression continued to changed and the fearful expression on his face deepened as the lions face came closer to his. By the time the lion spoke he was trembling and bracing himself for the fierce chomp on his face.

That's not what he got though and the shock that replaced the fear on his face was instant. His jaw had even dropped as the lion mimiced his face and he couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was being teased by the lion. He honestly could not believe it.

"What?!" Buluu exclaimed as he looked up at the lion in disbelief. Things had taken a very wierd turn for him. "Are you making fun of me???"
PostPosted: Mon Jan 09, 2012 6:39 pm

Soon enough Buluu's own face was laughing back at him, because Raiden simply couldn't keep up the terrified expression much longer. He chuckled, and the cheetah's face changed again, becoming darker and growing horns, until it was back to normal. "Well, yeah!" He snickered.

"Look at it from my point of view. It was pretty hilarious." He didn't really care about the cheetah's point of view. Raiden's was clearly the best, because it got to see this kind of thing.

Buluu had it all confirmed but the events happening before his eyes just added to the wierdness factor. This lion wasn't normal at all. Nothing about him was normal but Buluu knew very nothing about gods and was not connecting the dots because of such.

As the lions face went back to his own face or what he thought was his face who knew what he really looked like if he could do transform his body like that. "It would be a bit hard to see from your point of view..." Buluu admitted a little reluctantly as he didn't want to make the lion who still had him trapped angry. "I've never seen or even imagined anything like you before in my whole life. Right now I'm just trying to wrap my head around exactly what you might be."
