Mwezi'ua was getting tired the sun was almost about to rise. She was making her way back to her den. She had been out hunting for food all night the stupid drought was really putting a stress on her food source. She sigh and tossed her hair back a bit as she yawned. She really wanted to stay awake just a bit longer.
Ducking into her den looking around making sure no one was in her home. Once satisfied she stood at the mouth of her den. She starred out looking over her lands. She shared them with a male she hadn't seen him around much lately though.
Her heart began to flutter thinking of the male. It hadn't been to long since they had confessed to one another they where made for each other. She leaned against the den wall as she looked out noticing a large figured coming closer. Her heart began to race. Her eyes began to get very heavy as she sun rose of the hill shining down onto the light and dark blue colored male.
"Jua." She whispered softly before falling asleep no longer able to stay awake.

Jua Akambusu did not often journey far from his beloved's den, but sometimes the hunting was sparse close by and a hunting trip was in order. He had been lucky this time, he was only about a day's travel away when he'd found the herd of Zebra. He'd managed to catch a younger, less experienced zebra. He'd ate his fill and he'd began the long and strenuous trip back to Ua. Luckily what he'd eaten had lessened the weight of the animal considerably!
He brought the Zebra to the dens mouth before slipping in, smiling softly as his blue eyes floated over the bright pelt of his mate. She was stunning! "Moon of my life." He whispered softly, nuzzling into her. He'd woken a few hours ago when the hunting had happened, it was a little weird to be awake during the night but not unpleasant. One day he would be able to stay the whole night awake with his moon flower, and it would be the best night of his life. "Are you asleep?" He spoke softly still, not wanting to wake her if she was truly exhausted. "I brought you something to eat."

Her eyes fluttered open a little as a smile was quick to run across her lips. She let out a small little whine as she stretched a little before giving a slight nod. "I pushed myself a bit to much. just needed a little -yawn- power nap." She said sweetly before looking at the kill at the mouth of her den. her eyes light up as she looked back to him.
"Oh my sun and stars look at what you have done for me." She gasped as she pushed from the wall moving to the kill inspecting it a moment before looking back. "My you must really treasure me to do this for me." She said so very proud of her mate. She moved to his side and nuzzled him as a thanks for the meal before she turned to it not able to resist its call any longer.
Once she was finished she turned back to her mate thinking a moment before giggled and nudge his shoulder. "Shall we go watch the sun rise together?" She asked him before moving to the mouth of her den. They would have to walk some distance to see the sun since she had picked this Den specifically so the sun would not disturb her while she slept.

He felt immensely proud and satisfied at his mate's joy over his kill. "You are my greatest treasure." He agreed fondly, moving so he could watch as she ate. He loved to look at her no matter what she was doing, be it sleeping or eating or hunting. She was beautiful always, especially when the morning sun started to climb into the sky. More so when it was falling back into slumber itself, and the glowing moon came out to play.
As she finished he chuckled and moved forward, licking at her maw some to help clean the blood from her bright fur. It would be a pity if it stained! "Oh, I would like that." He purred out, nuzzling again into her neck before he followed her from the den. He grabbed the carcass with his powerful jaws, dragging it along some of the way until he judged it to be a safe distance from his den. "Now the scavengers can feed as well." He said cheerfully, chuckling before turning to smile fondly and with love at Ua.
They walked for a little while before he brushed against her side and nipped at her ear. They were coming to a slight incline in the plains, something less than a hill but it was not flat ground either. "Here should be a wonderful spot." And then he sat, tail flicking as he looked at her and then patted the ground beside him with a paw. "You know, I woke during the night this time, to kill that zebra for you." He grinned. "It was lovely... I thought of you the entire time, because the moon you were so lovingly named after peaked from the sky as if it were smiling." A new moon had just passed, and now just a sliver of the silvery globe was visible in the sky, indeed it looked very much like a grin to Jua.

She blushed softly hearing his words as she did her best to clean her face up. She let out a small giggle from his tender cleaning lick. She watched him her eyes full of love and adoration. finally when he agree to follow her stomach skipped a beat.
She and grow used to this feeling. She wandered off ahead of him smiling and bounding further before stopping and looking back to him letting him catch up a little before repeating her movements.
When her mate stopped letting the carcass free to the scavengers her stomach jumped again. He was always so sweet and caring. She loved this about him always look out for others. Putting their need above his own.
"This is perfect." She replied softly moving quickly to where he had patted. She snuggled into his side and watched the colors in the sky change from the dark cool colors to the bright warm ones. She giggled softly looking at the sky.
"I love watching the day change. It always makes me think of you." She said before looking to him. "You always follow me just like I always follow you."

As she snuggled up against his side he smiled softly and groomed the top of her head for a moment, purring. He felt most comfortable with her beside him like this, and it was his favorite 'place' in the world. And with the sun rising so beautifuly, the inky purples and blues slowly lighting up to deep pinks and brilliant oranges, it was even better.
His tail flicked then curled around his mate as he let out a deep, content sigh. "I would follow you to the ends of the earth, love." He whispered softly in her ear, nuzzling again. "You must be very tired." One day they would set their wake and sleep schedules right, they would be able to stay awake when the other was as well!
