Maeve nosed Elana kindly and licked it. Looking across her way to see Katori... Again.
Grumbling a little she bent down incase Mira was against her again. But then she saw a shimmer of blonde and she took in the sights of a male. Steadying herself into a new formation for fighting. She hated fighting new people. She knew Mira and Svang's fighting styles. Mira was ruthless. Svang, all body contact and man did both of them hurt.
As she got ready the whistle blew and Elana shakingly reached down and unlatched the leash, standing back immediately. With the clip Maeve shot to a fast right and then when she went to go after the male head on, she cocked it to the left and went to take him out by taking in some of Svang's body tactics. Small but she had momentum which would give her power.

 Thowra's Stats Attack: 8% x 2 = 16 Defense: 1% x 3 = 3 Speed: 1% x 2 = 2 Agility: 1% x 3 = 3 Intelligence: 1% x 3 = 3 Thowra was on edge, Mira had gotten hurt again and as usual was taking her frustration out on him but he, the ever cheerful, took it in good grace and pleasantries. He had to admit, he had been hoping Katori would take him fighting . He needed the distraction of it despite his dislike of actually hurting another Mokai btu he was a fighter and he would do what he was trained to for as long as he could. OH! a pretty lady this might be fun he thought. He didn't recognise her as the female Mira had raged about as he'd never seen her. Usually it was Mira that ventured out with Katori .. Thowra thought it was probably because he always got decked by females and/or their mates whenever Katori took him out in the streets. Thowra grinned to himself. "A wonderful day just got so much better, what a pleasure to be opposite such a wondrous beauty!" he said, giving a low bow but keeping his eyes on her. He obviously hadn't kept a good enough watch because she caught him head on, he was actually lucky to have had his head down as her chest hit him. He was dazed from the blow but pushed forwards and down before lifting his head fast and hard to lift her bodily, letting her crash to the ground as he moved quickly out of the way. "My apologies beautiful one. I hate to harm you, are you alright?" he asked her calmly.

She toppled over in a roll. Slamming her body down, in a yarp she shook it off and then growled at herself. Retaliating with another charge, this time stopping straight on and then ducking under the large brute and sliding under him, going for his two forelimbs to trip him down.
Hopefully, rolling out from under him in time to not get dropped onto.
She was speed. And agility. Though her balance the last two fights was probably rusty. But this is what she was trained for. Well..
Beaten into submission for.
"Perfectly!" She'd say before going under, tripping she'd stand back up if she made it out. "FINE!" would be her exclamation on the way back up. If not she'd just stick with perfectly.

Thowra was concerned ... until she got up and charged him again, he braced himself then chuckled when she moved beneath him, feeling his paws become unbalanced.
"If THAT'S what you wanted, oh my dear you only had to ask!" he grinned "but i'm afraid you're facing the wrong way" he added as he tripped up, moving so he wouldn't land on her. He turned to face her with a charge of his own this time since he knew Katori liked him to at least TRY and win.

Maeve snorted in amusement. Seeing the male go down amused her for some reason. She was making good time for her last fight. When he charged her, she felt like he was weakening it and dodged out of the way so he just brushed her shoulder.
"I am sorry but I don't think Svang would enjoy the idea of his younger cousin doing that in the arena!" She mused to him. Smiling to Thowra.
But then she broke into a charge and head-butted him, going for his chest to knock off his center.

Dammit.. he missed but only barely. He swung around and grinned at her, tongue lolling a little bit before he spoke again "Svang huh? ... so YOU'RE the girl Mira was raging about* He laughed "Well my dear, i must thank you for the earful i got" he said, bracing himself for impact as she headbutted him, he felt the thud go through his whole body. That hurt.. a lot but he somehow managed to stay on his feet, bringing his maw down to grab at her scruff.

With the vibrations going through her she shook her head unhappily. Stars in her eyes as she felt the tug and lift of someone keeping her up by her scruff. This is why.. Svang told her to never try for the weak point. She didn't have horns and it made her very squishy sometimes.
But when she somewhat snapped out of it she noticed Thowra not letting go and she pawwed quickly at him to get away, when she did manage to possibly get away from him she fell flat onto her stomach. Then dragged herself up, into a lower-position fighting stance.

He breathed hard through his nose as teeth clamped onto the scruff of the female. He felt her go somewhat limp in his jaws and he got a little worried, either she was hurt or she was faking. Oh then she pawed at him, albeit not as strong as her recent attack had been.
He released her just as she was pushing against him so she fell further away from him than he's anticipated, he could see she wasn't reacting as fast as before "Hey .. Pretty lady .. you ok?" he asked, more concerned about her than about sweet talking right now.... this is why he hated fighting, when one (or both) got badly hurt. He didn't venture another attack, just stayed where he was, watching her carefully.

Maeve wasn't taught to back down though. Even if he just stood there she went after him. But as her body went against him she collapsed beside him. Panted out at the air. She was all spirit. No bark.
Not designed to hurt, fight. Not anymore. This was just the way she was born. It was the time for defeat from this side of the Arena. A defeat much deeper then anticipated.
Her eyes fluttered up at the brute and she laid her head down. "I'm through." Where her final words. "This life is not mine.." She said hollowly. It was the only thing she could muster out without giving herself a headache.

Thowra fell with her, when she lunged one last time, he knew she was done with the fight but he was also a kindly male. As they fell he twisted with her to have her land on top of him as if she had 'won'.
When she spoke he just smiled "fighter in body but beauty in spirit" he murmured to her "Best way for you when you're better i think" he said softly, nosing her as the lay tangled with her coming out as 'top dog' He got up carefully and just turned his head to Katori with a whine.

When she felt the need to feel the earth below her crashing her, she'd feel instead warmth and the softness of fur. With that tumble she felt someone hold her up.
Eyes fluttering open as he spoke in a soft whisper.
A feeling rushed into her body. Something that this poor fighter hadn't felt for many moons; Someone who'd catch her when she fell. "Thank you.." She mustered a reply.
All those gruesome trials after Svang and Mira were sold. The ones before she even came to their compound. It all came to mind until she felt the bracing of another. Elana's arms were around her, petting her. "Oh God.. My brother's going to kill me if I don't get her home and taken care of.." She tried lifting her. True, Maeve was a smaller fighter. But Elana was rather petite. With tearing-eyes she looked at Katori and sniffed. "Oz is at the hospital, Mr. Katori could you help bring Maeve home?"

Thowra just shrugged when he was thanked, it wasn't just her because she was female, to be honest, he loved fighting but he hated the intensity sometimes. Some Mokai took things way too seriously.... like Mira for example.
Katori whistled for Thowra to come but the creamy Mokai just stood next to the downed fighter, he grunted and strode into the pit just as a young girl ran in towards the female "Oz? ..... " he mused, looking down at the female fighter who looked to be quite hurt, he'd heard of some fighters being brain damaged, it was one of the reasons he'd had Mira get her horns. He thought about getting Thowra modified but unlike Mira, his male wasn't inclined to take risks. Katori sighed and picked the female up, remembering when he'd picked Mira up those long weeks ago.
"Alright, you grab Thowra and leash him, he's easy t'handle" he said walking out towards the emergency medical stand. Without really thinking about it he murmured nonsense to the Mokai in his arms, soothingly.
