Doing patrols were something that were slowly becoming more natural for Sailor Vesta. Back in Salvador da Bahia she never had to do anything like this, the most worrisome thing that she had to deal was making sure to not miss her school classes or dance lessons. It was very different, but she knew that she needed to find her princess and the other Amazon quartet members. Vesta had felt them a few times, but she still wasn’t able to get in contact with them. In due time, due time.
Strolling along a dark alley, she kept her eyes watching carefully for anything that seemed suspicious or strange. Although she wanted to keep hidden, she couldn’t help but walk with a bounce in her step. It was really refreshing and nice on a dark evening like this, almost too nice. Hearing the slight sound of noise behind her, Vesta turned around quickly to only see a stray dog poking it’s head out from behind a dumpster. Shaking her long hair, she felt like an idiot for getting spooked out. What was there to be afraid of, she hasn’t run into anything that bad for a while now.
”Hey, you shouldn’t be eating that kind of food. It’ll get you sick, silly dog.” Vesta told the dog, squatting next to the dumpster. As it came over to sniff her hand, she simply scratched it behind the ears.
It was stupid of her to do that, since she knew that her foster family wouldn’t be very happy to see Catarina come how with another stray animal! She needed to leave it alone, but she didn’t want to leave it abandoned. That wouldn’t be the right thing to do, especially for someone of Small Lady’s court!
Picking up the puppy, who looked at her with upset eyes, she threw away her good thoughts as she ran towards one of the apartment buildings outside of the alley. She placed the puppy in front of one of them and rang the door bell, running away before seeing anyone come out to take the puppy inside (hopefully). Walking back in the alley, she felt like she had done at least one good thing on this patrol. Now just to continue along and hope that something interesting would happen.

Navi was hunting, but as always she was being picky in her selection of prey. The park had been annoyingly free of rowdy punks or would be muggers. Apparently she and the other members of her court with such selective tastes had chased away the majority of crime from that part of time. It would return, with time, but for now it meant the Senshi of Tumbleweeds had to venture further then she might have liked to fill her quota for gathered energy for the night.
The dark allies of downtown DC seemed a promising place to start.
Instead of finding a criminal though, the super found herself an order aligned senshi attempting to find a stray a new home. It made ginger brows arch curiously as she watched the other girl place the dog on a welcome mat, ring a doorbell, then run away. "How very noble," she mused quietly to her self, smiling in amusement.
As the crimson haired senshi returned to the alley Navi made her move, dropping from the roof she'd been watching from, and landing carefully on the lowest tier of the fire escape a little ways further down the narrow corridor between the buildings. She made absolutely no move to attack, though her chaotic aura would be unavoidably noticed. Instead perched on the railing, one pale leg crossing over the other, and smiled benignly down at the other red head. "That was a very sweet thing you did. I do hope that puppy finds a good home in that apartment." It wasn't realistic, but Navi wasn't heartless, and she too preferred the animal be taken in by caring people.
A curl of soft ginger had fallen in to her face, and with a flick of her hand she tucked it effortlessly back behind the curve of her ear. "Are you the 'attack first, talk later' sort, or are you the wiser, less brutal type?" Navi almost sounded bored as she made her inquiry, but she was carefully polite. In all honesty she was really just curious if there was going to be a fight between them, or just a talk. She infinitely preferred the latter, it made her job so much easier.

Whenever Vesta had hoped for something interesting to happen, she never expected that it would be something different than anything that she's ever ran into before. Walking down the alleyway, she almost jumped whenever a noise caught her attention.
Turning around quickly to face the noise. the sight before her was a ginger haired senshi sitting on top of the railing on the escape ladder. Vesta relaxed for a moment, until she could sense the feelings coming from this person. She wasn't like Vesta or the other senshi. There was something darker, almost sinister about this person. Her aura was similar to the negaverse but not at the same time.
Expecting this dark senshi to attack her, Vesta took a defensive stance. There wasn't any way that she would let herself get beaten up or killed before seeing her princess face at least once. It was shocked when she heard the other speak in a whimsical voice. "I would hope so to, it's better than being stuck outside on a cold night like this." Vest responded in a mater of fact voice.
There was a sense of arrogance with each word this senshi said, and for a moment Vest wanted to scream and say that she would rather attack first and talk later. That would be the easiest thing to do, although that would be too dangerous and headstrong. Against all thoughts, Vesta crossed her arms over her chest with a frown on her face. "Sometimes it's better to talk, not all fights need to be started. If you don't throw punches, then I have no reason to attack." She explained, keeping her eyes glued on her opponent. "Who are you, no... better yet, what are you?"

The startled reaction to her sudden appearance was not only amusing to the dark senshi, it was satisfying. It baffled her still how easy it seemed to be to approach these white mooners unnoticed. Were they all so very distractable by their own thoughts? She rather hoped so. She never tired of seeing them jump when her voice filled the night air. It was just a little sadistic, but Navi was an agent of chaos, it seemed rather fitting.
The red head dropped into a defensive stance, and Navi merely chuckled, swinging her foot side to side. "Very true," she agreed, smile brightening. "I know I wouldn't want to be stuck out here all alone with nowhere to call home." If she was being just a touch condescending, it wasn't strictly on purpose. The girl could be a pain in the a**, and she certainly had a bit of superiority complex. She was trying for pleasant, surely that counted for something.
"Oh I agree," she pipped up happily, head raising as she watched the other senshi's posture ease into something a bit more casual. "Why ever would I want to start a fight with someone that will one day be my ally?" It sounded so innocent, but the underlining threat, if you could call it that, was there. The Dark Mirror had designs to call all the senshi of the white moon. They would rebuild their shattered court, right on top of Serenty's pure kingdom.
Navi grinned when Vesta asked what exactly she was. "I am Sailor Navi, Dark Mirror Senshi of Tumbleweeds." It wasn't entirely enlightening, but it did answer the questions.
"And yourself?" She'd introduced herself, it was only fair the other girl do the same now.

There wasn't very much that Vesta was liking about this dark senshi. It wasn't that she was being aggressive or rude, but each thing she said had a condescending feeling towards it. That alone was enough to make her want to smack her around and get her frustration out. Yet, she had agreed on just talking to the other so it would be best to not change this into a fight without a damn good reason.
Rolling her eyes, Vesta was amused at the ally part. "Become your ally? Sorry, I have no desire to go down that path and become manipulated again." Vesta was simply talking about her past life, the time as VesVes and having to go against her will to fight the ones she swore to protect someday. She wouldn't allow anyone, especially an any agent of chaos get her down that path once more.
Vesta wanted to laugh as the other girl introduced herself, she dared called herself a dark mirror senshi? What was wrong with these people, they were protecting a mirror instead of the princesses? "Well, since you asked so nicely... I am Sailor Vesta, the Senshi of Humidity."
"But, I must wonder miss Dark Mirror Senshi, what is it that you fight for? I'm assuming you've joined with the negaverse, or am I wrong?" She asked in a teasing manner, although she didn't have any clue about these type of senshi. They were chaos, and that's all that mattered.

Hazel eyes narrowed, just slightly, but only out of curiosity. "Again?" Had this girl been an agent of chaos in the past, called away by the pure white queen of the moon to serve blindly? Oh yes, Navi was very curious.
She held all eager questions at bay though, until after Vesta has introduced herself and made inquires of her own, as the dark senshi had hoped she would. It provided a bargaining chip, both had information the other wanted, and now both had the leverage to obtain it. "I'll tell you what," she offered pointedly, leaning forward ever so slightly so the light from the moon highlighted her grin. "You ask a question and I'll answer it, then I'll ask one and you answer it, it'll be a like a game."
Black clad fingertips tapped along the rail of the fire escape she was perched on. "It seems only fair, don't you think? Seeing as we've both got answers the other wants."
Sitting up straight again she offered a friendly smile, heels drawing back to hook along safety poles. "In answer to your first question, what I fight for, that would be my queen, Ares." She could have simply left it at that, but she was feeling a little generous. "We're going to rebuild our shattered court."
"And now it's my turn. What sort of manipulation were you under in the past?"
