Yay, the yard! Full of lush green grass, lots of dirt for digging, plenty of trees for climbing and *ahem* bird-watching. And of course, garbage cans for knocking over! There are so cat-sized pieces of playground equipment in one corner. Not much, just a slide, monkey bars and a teeter-totter. There's a sandbox in the other corner, but that's not really for playing in if you get my drift. The yard tends to be nice, with sunbeams and an occasional breeze to ruffle the windchimes. On really hot days, ask Bergh to take out the kitty pool or the slip-and-slide!

Nook walked out into the yard, taking in a deep breath of the fresh air as he padded over to a tree. He looked it up and then down before climbing up it and settling on a strong branch. With a yawn, he closed his eyes and tried to get a good cat nap.

Nikki followed the cat out the doorway, looking for a new place to explore. Within a few leaps, the fox had made it to a nearby tree. She attempted to climb it a few times before being successful, but finally made it into the branches. Blending in with the leaves, Nikki decided to observe the cat, since she had only met one before.

Hearing something, Nook slowly opened an eye. He didn't see anything or anyone new, so he shrugged and then shifted his position on the branch. His now tail dangled freely, occasionally wagging a little.

Nikki casually watched the cat through the leaves, wondering why he was napping when there was so much other stuff to do. She tried to make her way to a branch closer to the cat when she spotted his face for the first time.
"Is that.. A raccoon?" She asked herself. Once again attempting to get a closer look, the fox lost her balance and slipped off the branch. Her paws were flailing as she attempted to catch a branch with her claws, but only succeeded in shaking the branches near the mysterious cat-raccoon before falling into the grass below.

Nook quickly sprung onto his feet and looked around, his back arched with fur sticking up. He then spotted the fox, and slowly calmed himself before jumping down from the tree. "Are you alright?" he asked, padding over to the fox.

Nikki blinked a few times and took a step back. "Uh, yea. Sorry 'bout that. So.. Are you a raccoon or a cat?" She asked suspiciously.

Nook chuckled, finding it quite a silly question. "I am just a cat, but have similar markings to the mythical creature Tanuki." He said, then looked up to a bird that had landed on a branch. "Tis a beautiful day, isn't it?"

"Yes, nice day.."Nikki said as she thought over his answer. She had only heard rumors about raccoons living in the shop anyways, never met one. The fox wandered for a little bit before settling in the grass to watch some clouds pass by.

Nook followed the fox, then sat down beside her. "You're the first fox I've seen." He said, "Are there perhaps raccoons around as well as to why you thought I was one?"

Fayt walked out into the yard, the bright sun blinding her for a few seconds. Once her eyes adjusted she walked to a tree and scaned it for anyone. as soon as she was sure it was clear, she spread her wings and flew to one of the branches and from there proceded up the tree. leeping from one branch to another she reached the top and sat on the sturdest branch she could find, and watched everyone. Her scarf swaying in the breeze, her eyes showed sadness and pain, but it was barely noticeable from up there.

Vooma Nook followed the fox, then sat down beside her. "You're the first fox I've seen." He said, "Are there perhaps raccoons around as well as to why you thought I was one?" "Yes.. Well, so I hear. I am yet to meet one, though. I haven't been here long.." Nikki said as she watched another cat climb, no wait, fly up into the trees. Now she was thoroughly confused. Cats that look like other animals, and cats that have wings? "This place sure is strange.."

"Don't I know it..." Nook muttered, "First cat I met was weird. She did nothing but pounce on me. Surely the best way to greet someone is a friendly 'hello', not a pounce that knocks them off a high place." He then gave the fox a pat on the shoulder. "But I'm sure you'll get used to it all. Oh, and by the way, my name's Nook."

"I'm Nikki. Luckily I haven't met any cats that pounce. They might just squash me. Have you met any cats like that?" Nikki said, pointing to the tree in which the other cat was hiding.

Fayt still sat at the top of the tree, she was clearly visable, but she didn't care. She faced the wind her ears back and her scarf blowing arround in the wind. She sighed heavily and looked down. Her wings folded at her sides. for if she opened them she could have been taken by the wind.
