Character Name: Prince Corbin Nikolas Lorencio Ried, III (name may change...) Player Name: Purely Anonymoose Race: Majin Aspirations: He lies and tells his parents he strives to be an Ars Lilium; that's what they want to hear. But what he truly wants is to be a Witch Eater. To have that power and become a stronger ruler both with his own magic and the use of his own pawns Royal Sages. Short Biography/background: Positive: ❖❖❖ Confident: To be a future ruler, if given the opportunity, you need to know your limits and create that air of confidence about yourself. Corbin knows those limits and never makes himself a fool. He bases his actions on his limitations and only makes his move if he's sure he'll get his way. ❖❖❖ Knowledgeable: Because he's a prince, he has had trainers and teachers of the highest quality. His parents spared no expense to make sure their children learned from the best. He has a large vocabulary when dealing with the court and legal affairs, and a large base of history, science and arts. He also learned from the Royal Sages and his magic is of course his favorite skill. ❖❖❖ Disciplined: While growing up, he was trained how to act as a prince, how to talk as a prince, even how to sit as a prince. Everything he was taught had an etiquette guideline he had to adhere to. Although he hates most of it and slouches when no one is looking, he is still disciplined enough to know how to act in front of people he needs to impress.
Negative: ❖❖❖ Callous: He's a spoiled little brat. Because of this, he's not opposed to stepping on someone's feelings in order to obtain what he wants. He doesn't care about you or your problems. As long as you don't get in his way, you won't have to be shoved to the side. ❖❖❖ Conceited: He knows he looks good, and judging from his brothers he's going to look even better as he gets older. So he takes pride in how he looks. He keeps that polished look of a royal. Not a speck of dirt will be on his clothing and his boots are never scuffed. ❖❖❖ Ornery: Like a toddler that missed nap time, he's known to fight and argue if he's not getting his way. A temper tantrum is more like it, but royals don't have temper tantrums. ❖❖❖ Audacious: If you're below him on the social hierarchy, he'll show you little to no respect. He doesn't have to. He's a prince and you respect him. That's how it is. He won't even bow to the elderly; he expects them to bow to him.
Neutral: ❖❖❖ Aristocratic: To the royal court he is well mannered and disciplined. To the villagers and town folk, he's just a rude little brat that needs manners. He has a bit of work to do on improving his manners overall. ❖❖❖ Extravagant: He has a golden wallet that never runs dry. If he wants something, he will purchase it; no matter the cost.
Mannerism: When he's thinking and or plotting, he has the habit of twirling hair around his finger. (Specifically the small tuff to his right side.)
Magic Concentration: Probably something to do with illusion manipulation. Though I'm still debating other choices.
--------
Corbin has moved from the palace to a rather large and lavish home in Lumena. The move was done for two reasons; he was tired of his siblings picking on him for being majin (and calling him the weed of the family), and to gain the power he sought without the watchful eyes of his parents. So he procured one of the largest homes and decorated it as he thought a Prince's home should look. Everything is rich, extravagant, befitting his personality and lavish lifestyle. It is his personal palace within the city walls. He wanted to move further away from his parent's rule, but their condition for him to move out was restricting him to their providence.
As for his race, he knows he's a majin and he knows the way he seeks power could cause friction in the near future. Although he's told his parents he strives to be an honorable Ars Lilium, it's a flat out lie. He intends to become a powerful witch eater by not stopping at just one. He also knows this path in life will cause the reapers to hunt him. But, would there be a reaper so bold as to attack royalty? It would surely be an act against the crown and he uses that knowledge to his advantage. He plans to seek out powerful witches, eating their hearts to his own heart's content, and no one can really stop him. (Minus his parents, and perhaps one daring reaper.)
This tiny little tyrant in training doesn't have many friends. In fact, he doesn't have any. Who needs friendship when you can buy loyalty? However, he is taking applications for his right hand man and or woman.
So be careful and weary of this little witch, as the cover of this book hides his true intentions. On the outside he appears to be a respectable prince, especially when he knows someone higher than him is watching. He'll put on the puppet show of a royal until he's once again able to move freely. The strings of the monarchy can only hold him back for so long. They were bound to snap if he pulled with enough force. On the inside, his story becomes complicated. He's a royal and a majin, pushed to darker intentions thanks to his family. He could defect from the family, but then he would be cut off from the money and power he's grown accustomed to. Instead, he pretends to be a good boy while he seeks power befitting a royal.

Character Name: Heylel Allard Player Name: ewagan Race: Human Aspirations: To be noticed by his parents; to be acknowledged for himself, not his position Short Biography/background:
Heylel had a very sheltered childhood, being born a royal. His every need was catered to, leading him to become somewhat spoilt and demanding. However, his childhood was not a happy one. Neglected by his parents in favour for their responsibilities as royalty, Haylel was very much a lonely child. His younger sister was trained separately from him, thus creating an insurmountable gulf between them. They were siblings in name only. Haylel had little or no friends in the palace, despite having learned to charm every servant into aiding and abetting in his childish escapades, oftentimes against their better judgement. When he showed an aptitude for magic, his gift for it was nurtured and he quickly outsripped those of his age, shocking and delighting his tutors with his rapid progress. They hailed him as a prodigy, singing his praises to the heavens. His parents however, expected more out of him and he always seemed to fall short of their expectations, despite the fact he was very much ahead of his peers. They wanted more out of him as he was their son, their heir. People would look up to him to be an example. He had to do better than that. He had to be extraordinary.
And so Haylel tried harder, trying to prove to his parents that he was worthy of the throne they would pass down to him, and more importantly, worthy of their notice, worthy of their attention, worthy of the love they were withholding. Even so, his parents still looked upon him with disapproval, not impressed by his efforts. He was too slow for their liking. Hoping to remedy this, they sent him to the Makai Royal Academy, hoping that perhaps being away from home would help him focus. At least in the school, there was no one to cater to his every whim. Haylel took a hard fall in Makai, learning to fend for himself. Yes, there were a few Cerberus Knight looking out for his safety, but he was forced to live as the rest of the students did. He was forced into the real world, out of the lap of luxury he was accustomed to. This helped him to better understand the people and their needs, also helping him to make a few friends whom he believed cared naught for his position and title. For just a few short months in the academy, he was merely a student, someone who was not special. He was the same as everyone else.
Heylel graduated from Makai within a few months, having proven he was well ahead of his peers. He was then ushered back into the gilded confines of the palace and given an ever increasing amount of resposibility, learning the ins and outs of ruling the kingdom. He still strives for his parents approval, that acknowledgement that he was enough even though he knows that it is an unlikely prospect. He does however, toy with people's affections and feelings, still silently craving the one thing he had been deprived of in his childhood. This makes him come across as someone who wants and everything but gives nothing.

Character Name: Locke Prescott Player Name: LunaRei_SilverBlood Race: Majin Aspirations: To overcome his disabilities, future path currently unknown, he’s borderline Witch Easter material at the moment Short Biography/background: Personality: Condescending, Observant, A thinker, Distant
Locke came to being in the Royal garden, and saw as a blessing by the King and Queen. As if some higher power knew. The Queen had bored a daughter; they needed a male heir to pass the thorn on too. Taking the child in as their own, they named him Locke Prescott. And did they ever spoil him rotten, almost literally. There were a few whispers of how the family came to have a son and so quickly. But they were squelched, and no one dared to speak about it.
When Locke was younger no one knew he was a majin, he never knew his parents weren’t really his parents. He was given anything he wanted, and if didn’t get it he would have a tantrum and then get it. He would pinch his older sister when he was a toddler, or whack her with something, but she was the one that would get into trouble. Locke was though, undoubtedly a happy child. Cute as a button and adored by the masses.
This became an issue as he aged though. He could get away with anything he wanted. He never took responsibility of his actions, and became stuck up. Soon he became a headache for his parents. His older sister seemed to excel in all the area’s he wish he could. Causing Locke to grow bitter toward her. He was never very close with his sister, but it was as if his sister walked in the light, leaving him only the shadows.
Now as a young adult Locke likes to do whatever it is he feels like, normally skulking around. When he interacts with others, he’s often got a look of ‘you’re bothering me’ and is passive / dismissive. He’s a complete snob, and has a serious superiority complex. Eventually he’ll hit bottom, and realize he needs to change his ways, but it’ll be a slow process.

Character Name: Desiderio Claec, Duke D'Ary Player Name: dawns_aura Race: Human Aspirations:In a word -POWER. He is far enough down the family line as to be little more than the average citizen in terms of influence - unless he managed to somehow show -magical- promise and graduate the Academy with decent marks- at which time he would be granted a position as an assistant to a sage on the royal council where he would learn the position he would eventually take over. But he is mediocre at best in terms of studying/classwork, and his powers (awakening rather late and remarkably weak)so it is unlikely.
It is his most fervent desire to accumulate power- be it magical, or through some other means. He is resentful of his family and lot in life, and will do whatever it takes to rise above it.
Most Likely Path- The closest position that is acceptable to his family and would suit his temper would be that of a knight. He would try to join the elite Cerberus Knights, but find himself ill-suited. When whispers reach his ears of a similar, if darker, organization he finds himself intrigued. (AKA, he would break away from his family and join the Black Hearts)
Short Biography/background: Familial rule and expectations- Anyone born into the royal family be they of the main line, or distant branch line must have some power (which must awaken before their sixteenth birthday), must attend the Academy and pass with above-average marks, and (for those who aren't the king/queen or in direct line for the throne) serve in an approved profession: a few of these include healer, librarian/ researcher, Ars Lilium, Cerberus Knight.
Who he is- A rather late awakened witch whose powers awakened just hours before the deadline in which he would be disowned and cast out of the only life he had known, the heir of Duke D'Ary, of a well-respected family serving the king and queen as advisors for many generations, though it seems he is likely to break this grand tradition as the position interests him not in the slightest. He desires more.
Powers (or lack thereof)- a very minor ability to weave shadows and cast glamories. Neither ability is very strong, and they are almost more draining on his energy than is worth the effort to cast them.
Personality- Negative: + Rebellious- Shackled by traditions and rules and expectations for his entire life, Desiderio acts out against any form of tradition or authority + Resentful- The one thought that kept Desi from panicking or worse as he waited for his powers to awaken was that they would be strong (as this was the normal case, the longer it took for powers to awaken, the stronger they'd be). So when they were far weaker than expected, weaker than almost all the members of his family, he became resentful. + Cold- Desi is unable to form any type of attachment or bond with anyone- be they friends or family, or whatever.
Positive: + Intelligent- He is brilliantly smart, but unwilling to apply himself or put forth any more than the minimum effort required.
Neutral: + Driven- To achieve his goals, Desi goes after them with a single-minded focus willing to do whatever it takes.

Character Name: Finian Dumeire Player Name: Auric Halcyon Race: Majin Aspirations:Finian is like any other mindless teen who hasn’t given a thought to his future. He wants to be happy, although is too lazy to consider what actually brings about his own happiness. Short Biography/background:
“Do not tell a king what he can do, but what he ought to do.” -Thomas More
Fin is the younger brother of twelve princes, removed six steps from the throne (more if you count his sisters) it would take a pretty serious disaster for him to be in the running for any sort of important position (which is just as well, considering how good Finian is with responsibilities.) while his distance from the seats of power lift some of the pressure from his young shoulders, certainly, not enough is lifted for all the regular trappings of such a position. He is headstrong, irresponsible and lacks discipline as his last nanny put it. Although in public, her words do seem unfounded. To most he is a quiet, easy-going individual, he has a somewhat cheeky smile, but boys will be boys. Finian knows how to act the sweet blameless angel around adults and because he’s royal, often they soak it up.
Beneath his smiling, cheeky exterior however, lies a true imp. ‘A hell raiser, mischief making menace’ as Nanny Cheng put it. He is the naughty school boy, enjoying anything that causes frustration, confusion and humility. While he never sets out to maim or hurt people he doesn’t understand the emotional damage done when he steals all the girl’s towels, or sets the stink-bombs in the boy’s lockers. A typical day for Fin starts by evading his personal escorts, making prank phone calls and shaking up cans of soda so they explode when you open them. It’s hard to tell what he gains from all this, some sort of perverse pleasure at watching others panic or maybe just the thrill of not behaving as the other twelve princes do. These small rebellions are a childish attempt at asserting his own personality, although what that is, is anyone’s guess. Even Finian isn’t such what he wants to do or be in life, from an early age the expectations of him have been very low, but also very high, even though it is unlikely he will ever inherit any responsibility, he must still appear and act as is befitting of a prince.
Luckily, Finian is quick and good at not getting caught when he’s causing mischief and mayhem, only his close, personal friends know what a naughty boy he is, and most of them are in on the fun. He has no sense of responsibility, being one of those people who expects others to do things for him and to clean up the mess that he has made, and why not, he’s still royalty even if he’s devoid of consequences. The trouble is, he has never dealt with punishments or humility himself, never felt the wooden spoon, so to speak. Most of his tutors were afraid to punish him or show any sort of chastising. The worst he has ever received were a few harsh words from Nanny Cheng.
Despite his naughty streak he would never harm animals, finding that he is closer to them than he is to other people. Finian ‘gets’ animals, they aren’t complicated.
He has only a few people that he considers close to him, most of his siblings are closer to the throne and thus have little time to spend on family matters. What little interaction there is between them is strained at best. For his younger years Nanny Cheng was the closest thing to an actual parent figure that he's ever had, but he grew up and she was retired. Since she left, he has become a great deal more wild-child than ever.
Magic: his power is a curious one relating to ink and words. He can literally tear ink off a page and turn it into a weapon, be it a lazy twirl of words, or a razor sharp lash of letters. He is currently not very good at this, but slowly getting better. Mostly the problem is that he finds his power ‘boring’ and would let it go to waste if his parents didn’t pull him out of tutoring the moment they found out about it. The power is weak at the moment but has the potential to be quite versatile.

Character Name: Jericho Pallas Player Name: AngelNumberXIII Race: Human Aspirations: One day he will attain the crown. His goal in life since he was young was to rise above his siblings and become king. The crown his goal; the power his obsession. Everyone who mocked him, who said he was unfit to be royal, would have to bow in complete submission. And with the power, hopefully he will be able find The Girl Who Called Him Fake. Short Biography/background:
Sickness and the Sprout of Ambitions Jericho was a sickly boy spending much of his early childhood bedridden. His every breath felt forced, his temperature fluctuating from extreme high to low levels, his slumber consuming most of the day. Everyone knew, of course. The word about the ill royal spread like wildfire especially among the gentry.
Once he reached the age of ten, he was well enough to attend royal affairs and start his training in magic and behavior. At first, Jericho was an excited, eager young boy, but as he overheard the gossiping nobles, his heart began to twist into despair. And, over time, anger. Sometimes they knew he was listening but still they continued. After countless numbers of mind-numbing balls, Jericho could list every insult that was said about him.
Oh how the fate of the land would be doomed if he inherited the throne. The sickly boy who was only a novice with his magic would never be king. Look how his eyes betray his emotions. Such a thing should never be allowed to rule!
Their words were needles to his ears. They poked and prodded his heart until it hardened into ice. Neither his face and eyes would betray his emotions. The inner workings of his mind now perfectly concealed behind a mask of regal stature. He worked harder than his siblings and the result was a perfect mannequin with hidden intentions. Jericho will no longer be the sickly king that hides while his pawns and knights protect him. Instead, he will be the one in control leading his army to victory.
The Girl Who Called Him Fake (shorter, somewhat summarized version) One night, Jericho’s parents were hosting another ball in which he wished to have no part of. It was yet another event useless to him. Seeking to be alone, he walked to the courtyard and began practicing his magic. A girl around his age followed him which added to Jericho’s growing irritation. After commanding her to leave him, the girl asked him why he works so hard at everything he does. He had no intention to answer but before he could open his mouth, she answered her own question. “You want a silent revenge on the nobles who looked down on you.” This girl, this little girl had the nerve to talk to him like that. She had the nerve to push her questions toward him and not even allow him to answer them. “You shouldn’t work hard because of them. It only makes you look fake. You should work hard to better yourself. I have a feeling you would make a great king.“
A part of Jericho was angered by her lack of manners, but another part found her intriguing. When she spoke her last few words, the block of ice that accumulated around his heart melted as if they were waiting to hear that. She was certainly not like the other nobles who appear plastic on the outside as well as on the inside. Instead, she was bold and unique.
His silence only proved to the girl that her answer was correct. She made a move to leave when Jericho stopped her. “Who are you?,” he asked.
The girl continued walking. “I’m the girl who called you fake.”
He never saw her again after that night. Even so, she became a new motivation for him. Even if she said to work hard for himself, Jericho wanted to prove her correct and become a great king.

Character Name: Prince Zafriel Sevriel Krylon the IX Player Name: Scott Eros Archer Race: Human Aspirations: To be something other than the average royal Ars Lilium that his family wants to be and instead become a Mononoke. Short Biography/background: Positive Attributes: Brave: He is very brave but also knows that running away from a fight does not make one a coward. sometimes it means running from a confritation to do the right thing and be brave. Charasmatic: He is stangely able to get a lot of people to listen to him through very little effort. Be can command respect even when at his worst. Confident: He knows that if he wants to get what he wants in life, he must show confidence in his actions and speach. To not do as such would show weakness that he cannot afford so he has always striven to have confidence in himself and his actions.
Negitive Attributes: Rash: Unfortunately he is also very rash and can, at times, forget to think before running into a situation headlong. Due to this it can get him into a lot of trouble. Vain: He is also very vain when it comes to his appearance and is always trying to make sure that he looks his best no matter the circumstances. He could care less if the roof was falling on top of him so long as his clothes look wrinkle free as he runs.
Zafriel you could say grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. Being born to one of the three branches of the royal family can give that kind of life to a person though. However, he's also been born to a life of responsibility and guided to be what they believe would be best for the family and the rest of Lilium Hallow. They were raising him to be a great Ars Lilium. On top of that he never really saw most of his family, being raised instead by the servants and tutors around him. Unfortunately for his family this meant that he felt no loyalties towards any of them. This might be why he wants to be a Mononoke instead of an Ars Lilium. Why he would rather not follow in the footsteps of his ancestors and help run the place.

Character Name: Khryses Jolanthe
Player Name: Orpheus Solon
Race: Human
Aspirations:
Due to the order in which he was born Khrys isn't likely to rule without a great misfortune befalling his family. As such he wants to be able to serve his family in another way, by becoming a Cerberus Knight and a protector to his older siblings, especially the brother who will one day inherit the throne, parents, and the people of the kingdom.
Short Biography/background:
Khryses is the youngest of the sons born to his parents and as such not in direct line for the throne barring some get tragedy and as such he isn't weighed down by the same responsibilities as his eldest brother. Regardless of the freedom found in his youth as well as the idea that he will never known the burden of ruling he is still very loyal to his family, to the point that he threw his entire being into his studies while at school. He wants very much to become someone worthy of his father's legacy and as such pushes himself to be his best.
When the time came he went, of his own volition, to the academy to learn instead of doing home schooling, feeling that he would gather a lot of knowledge from the experience that he wouldn't have otherwise obtained at home. It was a bit of a battle with his parents who felt that he would be better off learning in the same manner as his brothers, that the teachers they brought in were more then sufficient but after some time they finally gave in to his demands, certain he would come home on his own after a bit of time at the academy. Much to their surprise he hung in there and graduated. There were, of course various problems that came with being one of royal blood going into the mixed populace, not to mention setting out on his own for the first time, but he feels that he was better for it, even the times when he found himself often lost, home sick, bullied, and the like. Not to mention the various girls that chased him about with dreams of marriage so they could end up a princess.
It was while he was at the academy that he found what it was that he truly wanted to do with his life after crossing paths with an older man who was decked out in the glittering armor of a Cerberus Knight, carrying a sword the size of Khyrses himself, with an aura about him that was that of a imposing yet heroic person. It was after a few conversations with the man that he decided that was the path for him. Currently Khryses is following the path of a Cerberus Knight, with all of its ups and downs, bumps and bruises, wanting to become someone worthy of the title and glittering armor that they wearing. He has a definite hero complex when it came to the older knight that he met, seeing him as being the 'perfect' individual and finds himself following after the man that he ended up putting on a pedestal in his mind. Once he succeeds at meeting his rather lofty goal Khryses means to take up his blade in order to not only protect his family, his older brother and heir to the kingdom especially, but also to protect the kingdom from any dangerous outside forces that wish to bring harm.
Magic:
Khyrses tea and magic has given him an affinity toward metals of all sorts allowing him to manipulate them for his own use in various situations. The thing he uses the power for the most often is to transform his jewelry into a sword and back again. While he can also manipulate himself a shield out of the metals as well to use as a defensive tactic he finds 'unsheathing' his sword is something he can do a lot more swiftly. Likely due to him practicing that spelling more often then he has the shield, something he needs to put more time and effort into, need to recall that defense is just as important, if not more so, then offense.
While it is that Khryses is able to do with all metals but he finds it a lot easier to do with precious metals both because the metals are more malleable and because he is around them a lot more often. The ones that he wears the most, metals like silver, gold, and sometimes platinum, are what his magic is most attuned to making the manipulation of them far more easy. More base metals like steel or iron would take a lot more concentration to deal with them and is something that he is still working to on learning to use more to his efficiently.
