There were tons of them. Papers stapled, glued, taped, even licked with sticky adhesive to prove a very urgent point posted on every bulletin board and on top of prior newspaper clippings by the Halloween Daily. When they had gotten their, prior to or after the mess with the Christmas invasion was an absolute mystery. Needless to say they screamed of urgency with big bold, georgia-font letters.

A student picking one up would read the headlines as followed:

The Paranormal Post
LIES ON LIES!
THE TRUTH ABOUT RED AND AMITYVILLE THAT THE BOOGEYMEN DON'T WANT YOU TO HEAR!

Some of you may have noticed by now but a teacher by the name of MISS RED has been taken from us by a force of gigantic proportions. What started as a cover up for a wedding present turned out to be a long winded scandal involving the gym teacher, our secretary Mi Mr. Arel, and an unnamed student. One could speculate that there were more than one students involved in the conspiracy. In fact we're almost positive that when the words 'killing students' were uttered by the Secretary himself that meant more than one student.

THE POINT BEING THAT THIS TOO WAS A COVER UP FOR SOMETHING EVEN BIGGER!

Many students went on a so-called field trip to a place where their lives were put in danger and at the hands of these mythical creatures your mums and dads would tell you stories about to get you in bed. WELL THEY AREN'T STORIES ANYMORE AND IF YOU DID NOT KNOW THIS THEN MAYBE YOU ARE ONE. Or maybe you arrived at an untimely time at the school. Whatever the case may be, those of you who DON'T know, Red has not retired but has been taken down by these hunters.

THAT SURE MAKES OUR BLOOD BOIL WE HOPE IT DOES YOURS TOO! Wedding conspiracies are a terrible way to hide the truth but do you know what is an even worse way? Your Boogeymen telling lies to make you feel cozy when you slip into your bed with your ghoulfriend or boilfriend at night. WE ENCOURAGE THAT YOU NOT LISTEN TO ANY OF THE OUTSIDE MEDIA INCLUDING THE HALLOWEEN DAILY. BY WE I MEAN YOUR GOOD FRIENDS IN THE PARANORMAL POST. (names withheld)

Perhaps whoever wrote the paper was just a group of students looking for some attention. Perhaps that attention was actually intended despite the prior statement. Perhaps if a student was just curious enough, he or she may find that at the end of the paper...

The "Business advertisement" led to a relatively normal looking website, promising to help in all business endeavors to succeed for a small fee. However, there were some students who were not browsing the website because they wanted to set up a business - they were browsing the website because they discovered something within the little advertisement placed so conveniently under the 'LIES ON LIES' article, and were intrigued enough to carry on.

A few mouse clicks later, they would come across a page asking for their Name, 'Password' as well as their Skelephone number; those who had stumbled upon that page on accident might frown and leave, thinking of it as a scam. Those who had discovered the message and password hidden within the advertisement, however, would eagerly punch in the information required of them...

OOC Information

What is happening...?
-> The Paranormal Post (School's official Newspaper) had put up an article on recent happenings.
-> Under the article was an advertisement, seemingly harmless and put there to help fund the paper.
-> However, it is actually a coded message... And besides, only REAL Amity students would find the advertisement odd, since it features THEIR HEADMISTRESS.
-> The website the advertisement leads to looks normal, but those who know where to look would comes across a page where it requires you to input your "Login Details" - Name, Skelephone number, Password.
-> Soon after, they would receive a text from an unknown, untraceable number...

So, how do I apply OOCly...?
-> Have your student react ICly in this thread! Just one post will do, but it must involve them reading the advertisement and then going online to complete the deed!
-> Alternatively, your could RP it out in another thread, with someone else. (Refer to the two questions below!)
-> Go here and read through all the information carefully.
-> Post the application form with the RP link.
-> Please also include the password hidden in the advertisement! : D
-> I will read your RP; so even if you just copy and paste the correct password, as long as you RPed out a decent response, I will probably still approve your application!

What if my student is the type who is bad at puzzles, or taking hints...?
-> At this point in time, your student does not know about the anon thing anyway. O__O So they could always get another student's help, or had been roped in by someone else!
-> There might be other methods to access the forum ICly in the future too!

What if my student is blind/etc?
-> If your student still wants to join, they'll need someone to help them. Someone they trust... Or they could share an account with someone else.
-> Example: Shun is dyslectic, and has Mitsu around to help him with reading posts as well as the spelling in his posts!

Aymet didn't even know the school had a newspaper for a long time, but once he did, he also discovered they had a variety of uses for a pet invisible dog. His weekly snatching of the free newspaper was cut short by the page it was folded open to, and a curious message printed in large enough letters that even someone as sightless as he was couldn't miss it. It all looked pretty exciting to him. Like a Dungeons and Humans game, but so much bigger. He was definitely intrigued.

Still daydreaming a little, he glanced at the odd advertisement for a few seconds, and snapped his claws. It was so simple! Getting a little careless, the newspaper began to make a ripping noise as his other claws neatly impaled it. He crumpled up the paper before he could put any more holes through it, and tucked it under one arm to go on his way.

Remi was not aware there was a school newspaper, not surprising enough he found the art of reading to be something above his lazy self. All the same, when you find yourself walking down the hallway... and slipping on a rogue paper that had clearly been place din his path, intent on tripping the poor kitsune demon, it got his attention.

Well... the first one got enough to burn. Though sadly enough, a moment later he realized that it was jsut an illusion of burning... and while it smelt, looked, and SOUNDED like burning paper... His hand was still gripped on the unchanging hunk of thin pressed wood and fibers.

Exhaling, he dropped the illusion because it really was not making him feel better. Still though... a moment after glancing at the paper, he crumpled the thing even more as he was tempted to ACTUALLY set the thing on fire. Though the bottom text made his eyebrow turn up...

Instead he tucked the paper in to a pocket, and wandered off making sure to kick at any other paper he saw lying around.

Sparrow, like Aymet, was also completely clueless about the fact that Amityville had a school newspaper.

Which was why, when he accidentally stepped on one, he just shook his boot carelessly, attempting to rid himself of the annoyance.

It stuck to his foot obnoxiously.

Frowning, the reaper stooped down, gloved fingers gripping the paper, which looked as though it had probably fallen off of some notice board somewhere, judging from the amount of tape on the back of it. His first try at tugging it off proved fruitless - if anything, it seemed to just stick even further, the tape sticking to the sole of his shoes. Sparrow gave it another yank, this one with more effort, and it finally slid free. He held it up to his eyes, gaze narrowing just a little.

The headline screamed at him, bright, bold, and daring.

He folded the paper over, peering at the notice just beneath the main article. There was something typed, in very small letters, barely noticeable if one's gaze wasn't careful.

It took him a few more moments than probably necessary - reading was difficult, and Sparrow felt his face redden just a little as he tried to keep the letters from shifting around in his vision. His ability to discern the minute differences in words was getting better, but it was still relatively slow going.

After some time, however, he figured it out. A slow smile crossed the reaper's face, satisfied and pleased, in spite of himself. Carefully he folded the paper up into a neat square, tucked it into his pocket, and continued on his way.

It was hard to miss the newspaper articles that had been placed everywhere around the school. It was even harder to ignore said newspaper articles, considering that they so clearly mentioned Red's death, as well as who was at fault for it.

The fae hovered in front of one of the newspaper boards in the Demon hallway, reading through the full article and being utterly gob-smacked at what she read. Not only was she excited to see how the boogeymen would react to this, she now knew what the hooded reapers were called; hunters.

But that was all. She had seen the small text at the bottom of the article, and after reading it, she giggled insanely for 5 minutes straight. This was more then just a simple game or secret. It was something huge, and she would be damned if she wasn't going to be a part of this.

She took the newspaper article off the board, and flew off as fast as she could.

It wasn't hard for the mermaid to see the bright declartion on the Newspaper. It wasn't liked she read them often but, when she had free time in the library, they were just another story to get sucked into.

This one was no different as she looked it over before her eyes focused on the little ad at the bottom. Her head cocked curiously to the side before tucking the newspaper in one of her already checked out books.

Perhaps she could use A friends computer for a moment. Anything concerning the hunters was something she wanted to be involved in.

---

Night's tail whipped side to side of the branch he currently perched himself on. He was after all, watching the other students like he usually did. It wasn't unusual for the Black cat to be tucked there.

What was unusual was that he was being caught into looking at something in another students hand. He didn't read the big article, skimming it over as he crept closer to the student on the branch.

"My My~" Night all but purred at the ad. It was a game after all, and he was...A sucker for games. Dropping down, he headed to his room. Perhaps though he should find his girl to bring her in.

Concealing a yawn into the back of her hand as she walked, Simone sighed and dropped her hand down to slip it back into her pocket. While she had been aware of the papers posted up everywhere, the demoness didn't pay them much mind. At least, she hadn't been until a copy of the article must have come loose from wherever it had been posted, either through someone having dislodged it intentionally or some wear of the adhesive that kept it anchored, swirled on a breeze and hit her full in the face. She gave a soft groan as she removed the offending paper, pausing a moment before she was going to toss it away, her attention having been nabbed by the big, bold print before she could throw it away. Simone stopped her stroll to read over the article, a fine brow slowly arching upon reading over the little ad underneath. "What's this?" She muttered softly to herself, taking a moment to read and reread it. "Hm. Isn't this interesting." She drew out, a touch of a smile playing at one of the corners of her lips. It was something worth checking out at the very least. Folding the paper up small enough to slip into her pocket without much fiddling, Lust tucked it away and headed back on her way. This was big, really big, and something of keen interest.

Ever since her first experience with the hunters, Lark had been in search of answers. She wasn't sure how and she wasn't even entirely sure she'd want to know the answers to the questions she had, but Lark was a stubborn ghoul and her interactions with the hunters -- and the resulting terror she'd felt -- had given her a purpose.

Or maybe she was just too stubborn for her own good.

The emotions she felt when she looked back at the events that had led up to her first 'death' while attending Amityville still haunted her when she slept. Nightmares of watching Ben flicker and fade, the horrible way she'd felt when she'd realized that she was too pitiful and pathetic to be of much help - and even after, when she'd been too terrified to summon Ben for fear that he might be incomplete or broken - all of these emotions and fears tortured her on an almost nightly basis.

Perhaps this was also why, when Lark found that small newspaper article printed so inconspicuously beneath a piece about a cover up and a teacher's death, something struck her as odd about the wording of the ad. This would require a little more research, and as Lark folded up the paper and set off towards her dorm, there was a lightness to her step; one that hadn't been there since her arrival at the Academy. It would require some Gruegle and some time and perseverance, but Lark was nothing if not intelligent.

For a well informed ghoul like Gene to not know of this "Paranormal Post", it must be really underground, and quite possibly very hipster. Gene loved to pretend like she was a hipster. So, in her wannabe hipster ways, she picked up the paper, mimed sitting at a table, and unfurled it. The main article was astonishing (mostly because Gene had no clue any of this had happened) and riveting. In fact, she was quite furious. She always thought the boogeymen were so nice, too, always ordering their coffee and donuts. Well poo on them!

Noticing the little clue on the bottom, Gene had to hold back from becoming a rolling pile of giggle fits. Oh my. She needed to check this out.

Calder wasn't really into reading the news recently, but he was becoming a big fan of comics and horror-scopes. That and he may or may not tend to read the Dating Advice columns everyone once in a great while. Ya know, if it was just lllyyyiiinnngggg around.

It was why he picked up a copy of the newspaper when in the library. If the bold headline didn't catch him at a glance, he would have frowned at just seeing news and tossed it aside. That headline was all that was needed to read. Everyone did love to read about a scandle, and Calder read tot he finish, his ears back and fuming. It was all true, but he didn't even KNOW about the wedding. WTF?! There was a ruined wedding?!!!

That....that was just crazy!

At the end of it, he'd just crinkled the paper so badly that he was being sushed all around. Frowning, he got up and stormed out, the paper balled in his hands. He'd rant and rave about it back in his room.

Doused in perfume and printed on pinkish paper were new notices that had been switched overnight with the ones that had been tacked everywhere before. For some the smell was unbearable. For others it may have been so attracting that reading over them was simply irresistable.

The Paranormal Post

HUNTER INVASION!
WHY YOU'RE DOING A TERRIBLE JOB AT UNLIFE ACCORDING TO THE HORSEMEN CLANS!

While some of you may be busy with exams the hunters are coming and examining your friends. Friends don't let friends be examined by hunters! Many of you are failing to stay in the know but that's okay because we know more than you. We know a lot of things you don't know and you know what? We know that in a recent turn of events horseman clan representatives have come to cover a dark conspiracy of OTHER. WORDLY. NATURE. Scareling hunter recruiting!

AND THAT'S JUST TERRIBLE!

During what may be considered the best thing to happen to the male population of Amityville, a clutch of students and a number of scarelings were brought by the leader of Conquest to a place some report to be a previous field trip spot where Miss Red was succumbed by hunter humans. The hunters then proceeded to capture the scarelings in the blink of an eye and we are recieving reports from very reputable sources that these strangely fear-soaked scarelings are being put to work as scareling soldiers for the hunters! This madness must be stopped at all costs. We will continue to report the news as faithfully as we can.

In other news get out your best dress and tophat because Amityville's annual Scarentine's party, hosted by your elected Student Cabinet, is underway this October! See you there!

It was probably the smell that brought the short girl over to the board in the first place. Humans that ridiculous smell! It was enough to make Hamika simply stop breathing for the duration of reading what was posted. She glared at the pink one (honestly who liked seeing that ridiculous color on the front of a newspaper was beyond the little zombie.

Also the font was all wrong. It really was. She shuddered, and wondered just who it was who was spear heading this. Granted, she hadn't been here long, so she had no idea what in Halloween was going on.

Hence why she was moving the obtrusive pink sheet out of the way to read beneath it. Orange eyes flitted down the page as she read. Interesting, interesting. Hunters hmm? Interesting interesting. She wanted to see one up close and personal for herself. Mm yes. She turned to go when something caught her eye under it.

She squinted at the tiny font.

How... curious. How very curious. And delicious, almost as much as knees.

She pulled out a small notebook and scribbled down what she found before flitting off.

How curious indeed.

The short attention span that dogs were jokingly stereotyped with really did hold true to Thackery sometimes. He rarely took the time to read something unless it was accompanied by pictures, included a tale about kistunes, or was assigned for classwork. The Paranormal Post, as a result, rarely made its way into his hands. All of those tiny words all smashed together...ugh, it was so difficult and headachey.

But he couldn't ignore that smell. It wasn't too far from the scent of his perfume magic potion that was supposed to attract kitsunes: overly floral and way too heavy.

He had followed it to the pink paper and just stared for a while, squinting to read the story. Scareling hunting recruiting? That wasn't what happened, was it? Frowning, he considered the possibility that he'd remembered. Was Reine tricking him?

There was no more time to think about this as his gaze fell upon the image of-

"Oh Jack," he wailed, dramatically turning away.
