How long had it been since Guy had been able to go out and get some time all for himself? Surely too long. So much had been occupying his time as of late that he could barely have a moment to himself. Now he finally had some time for his own endeavors and he had no idea how to spend it. He supposed that he could use it to train up his Pokemon a little bit more, particularly because of his newest addition to his rag-tag team. Unfortunately, Paleman was... odd, and even though Guy felt guilty about it, the Pignite disconcerted him. He was so... clingy. And clammy. Working with Leucitius was out of the question, and Oki had already been worked to his limits over the past few weeks. The only Pokemon Guy had left was his Lampent.
Said Lampent floated jovially alongside his master as the pair journeyed through a quieter part of the woods. He loved to travel with his master! It was always fun when Master was around. After all, Master was always so kind and gracious and giving... Why, not a few months ago, his master had given that poor hungry Pignite some grapes, and now the Pignite was their friend! And it was all thanks to Master! His master surely was the bravest, kindest, all around best person in the entire world and forever!
Guy smiled as he glance over to Anonymes dancing happily near his shoulder. Anon was always so excited whenever he was around Guy, and it did make Guy's heart swell a little to think that one creature could have so much unconditional affection for him. Anon truly was like family. But sentimental thoughts were not the purpose of their quest.
The human and his Ghost finally reached their destination: a rocky outcropping near a steep stone wall in the middle of the forest. After surveying the landscape for a moment, Guy pulled a small dagger out of its tiny sheath from his belt. He turned it over once or twice in his gloved hand. It was a plain little weapon, its handle and decoration simple and its edges dulled. It was effective for its purpose, though. Turning back to Anonymes, who had positioned himself a few meters away from his master, Guy carefully threw the dagger towards the Ghost. Anon's golden eyes widened and he flinched as he quickly put out his handles and stopped the knife in midair with the use of his Telekinesis. At Guy's nod the Ghost gingerly grabbed hold of the dagger by its hilt and looked at his master with wide eyes.
Guy didn't speak a word as he pulled out his own sword and went through slices and strikes and drills, Anon copying as they went along. And so it went that Anon began his sword training in a quiet and undisturbed corner of the forest. Surely no one else passed through this neck of the woods, and so it would be the perfect place to train.

Even after quite a bit of time being out on her own, forests were not Natalia's cup of tea. While they were beautiful and she was slowly learning more and more about what it means to be a trainer, she was still mostly used to comfort. It was the main reason she stayed in hotels instead of occasionally camping like others sometimes did. But every so often, at least every few days, the noblewoman would go out into the forest for walks or training so to get more used to it.
Today was mostly a chance to take Little Luke and Astral out for a walk more then train though so she picked a direction and stated to walk. GPS' built into Pokedexs were made for a reason after all. After a while of walking with Lu right beside her and Astral flying around with in a five feet radius of her, the Misdreavus stopped and seemed to listen. Her Tepig did as well but only after Natalia had paused in walking to watch Astral. A heart beat later though, both Natalia and Little Luke were darting though the trees after Astral who had let out a cheerful 'Miss!' and zoomed off.
It didn't take long for them to come across the outcropping that Guy and Anon were practicing. The girl pokemon disregarded the human male and happily floated over to the ghost type. "Dreav!(Hello!)" Thankfully she stayed out of the way of the sword and dagger. On the other hand though, Natalia's attention was on Guy and she got a smile on her face as she walked a bit closer, not close enough to be in range of the weapon he carried though just in case he was really surprised. "Guy! Fancy meeting you out here."

Unaware at first of the Misdreavus's imminent approach, Guy and Anon continued to practice. For the bare basics, Guy was running Anonymes through the nine lines of strike, and the Ghost seemed to be a quick learner, if only for his greater-than-God desire to please his master. Guy had no real qualms about that anyway. Then came the harrowing task of letting Anon hack away at a nearby rotted tree stump with his newly found skills. The Ghost was tentative at first, but he seemed to be getting the hang of it rather quickly. Anon hoped that Master was pleased with his progress!
Guy truthfully had considered teaching Anonymes about swordplay for a long time - way back when during the disaster contest at Sandalwood. Ever since then, the Lampent had seemed ecstatic about anything that involved swords, and it was always a delight for the Ghost when he watched Guy practice. Guy had weighed all of his options and dwindled on the edge of a decision for a long time, and now he had finally decided to give it a go. He did not regret his choice one bit.
All of sudden, out of the blue came another happy-looking Ghost who was making a beeline for Anonymes. Startled by the Pokemon's speedy appearance, Anonymes widened his eyes and dropped his dagger in shock and fright. Who was this stranger?! Were they going to hurt him? She didn't look mean, really. In fact, she looked nice. Perhaps Anon should be nice back. Yes, that would do. Besides, this looked to be a lady Ghost. All ladies deserved the utmost respect, courtesy, and chivalry. Master taught him that. And Master was always right. ["He-hello, miss,"] Anon said, bowing his head awkwardly.
Guy raised an eyebrow at the second Ghost's arrival, but what truly surprised him was the call of an all-too-familiar voice. The swordsman turned around to see Lady Natalia emerging from the depths of the forest, her little Tepig in tow. Quickly, on reflex, Guy sheathed his sword and dropped onto one knee in a respectful bow towards the noble. She might not like it when he bowed so formally to her, but Guy felt an obligation to. She might be a childhood friend and companion, but she was still of noble birth, and Guy was just a servant. "Lady Natalia," he exclaimed as he flicked his eyes upwards to look at the young woman. "It certainly is a surprise to see you. What brings you out so far into the wilderness?"

It was, Natalia decided, impressive how well Guy had been able to train the Lampent in sword fighting. After all one did not normally see something like that when it came to most pokemon, let alone for ghost types. She wondered how long it took him to get the little pokemon to get the amount of skill it already had. But that was something to ask later because Guy had spotted them and was bowing. Again. She put her hands on her hips and gave him a fond but slightly annoyed look. "Guy I've told you before, you don't have to do that. A simple bow will do at most unless in a formal setting." She said the waved her right hand at the trees around them. "And this looks far from formal."
But more of her irritation disappeared and she moved a bit closer to her friend with a smile. "We're on a walk. I take it you have been training out here? Looks like you have been keeping up admirably." That made her think on her own archery training. She should really find a range to practice more often. "How have you been?" She hadn't seen him since the Halloween party and even then she hadn't talked to him.
Astral floated the rest of the way to just a little bit away from Anon then stopped. ["Hello~ who are you? What are you doing?"] She asked and eyed him curiously at the bow. She had seen Lu do something similar to Natalia but had never seen another pokemon do it, let alone to her.

I knew she'd say that, Guy thought to himself, both amused and perturbed at once. It was what she always said, of course, and yet still Guy persisted to do it. Was it habitual? Maybe. "You have indeed told me several times, Lady. I apologize if it upsets you. But I would think that being a bit too formal is better than being not formal enough." Guy stood, folding his gloved hands across his chest. He smiled at his old friend.
"A walk, huh? It is quite a lovely day out." After taking a moment to soak up the scenery around them, Guy looked back towards Anonymes. The Ghost seemed to have been spooked by something or other as he was no longer chopping and hacking away with his blunt little blade with such determination and gusto. He silently assumed the Misdreavus to belong to Lady Natalia. "Yes, we have been training for a short time. I'm trying to teach Anonymes swordplay." Guy couldn't help but chuckle a little at his Lampent's awkward bow towards the Misdreavus.
"Oh, myself? I'm very well, thank you, Lady. I've been trying to train my Pokemon a bit more, and it seems to be going along-" As he spoke, Guy was suddenly reminded of all of his... rather eccentric team; a doting Lampent, a justice-driven Zoroark, a manic Jolteon, and an unsettling Pignite. Not the most impressive of groups. "...-going along rather well." Guy grimaced for a moment, then he suddenly remembered his manners and looked back to Lady Natalia. "And you, Lady? How have you been as of late?"
Anonymes blinked at the other Ghost's questions and discontinued his bow. He looked perplexed at her odd queries. ["I, uh... I-I'm bowing. 'Cause it's respectful for a man to bow to a lady. And it's chivalrous, too. My master taught me that, and I do what my master tells me to do."] If Lampent's had mouths, Anonymes would surely be wearing a grin five miles wide, as he always did when he talked about his master. He remembered his manners as well and introduced himself. ["I am Anonymes, pupil of the great and kind and wonderful Guy Cecil! He's my master, you know."] Anon paused to give his master a cheery little wave before turning back to the curious Misdreavus. ["And what is your name, miss?"]

Natalia chuckled and slightly shook her head and let it go for now. It wasn't like her friend would listen to her anyway. "Yes we thought so to." She said as Little Luke walked up beside her and gave Guy a bow of his head. "It looks like you have done a wonderful job with teaching him so far." the young woman praised as she looked over at the two ghosts with a smile.
She missed the grimace that Guy had because of her slight distraction but looked back at him when he asked a question. "I'm glad, for both you doing alright and getting along." She knew sometimes pokemon and trainers didn't get along and was happy that Guy hadn't had problems like that. "I have been well." Well for the most part she thought, her mind flashing back to Asch for a second. "And I found a new friend as you can see."
Astral floated there watching Anonymes with a curious look as he explained. ["Oh I see. This is the first time someone has done it to me."] She said with a nod and a pokemon giggle. ["You must like your trainer a lot. Nice to meet you Anon, Nat gave me the name Astral."] She said cheerfully.
