 Lissa strolled along the edge of her lands, enjoying the scenery and the smell of fresh air. It was a beautiful day and for once she wasn't slaving over books and sweating as she trained ruthlessly. She was enjoying herself, relaxing, letting her hair down.
She knew eventually she would have to get back to work. Numbers needed to be strengthened. Strategies to plan out. Lissa needed to get stronger herself. For now things were fine but it was only a matter of time before threats came. Right now her only threat was her. But as the herd's numbers grew she knew the dangers grew also.
She stared up at the sky, trying to find a great truth. A sign. Anything.HP: 50.

 Words were pointless really. Why give her a reason to mock her? Why give this little girl anything? She wanted the gold, she wanted the girl gone...She wanted this little....unicorn to realize that words meant nothing. Actions backed them. Stepping out of the shadows, she didn't say a word. Not a sound, as she neared the unicorn. She watched the girl, oblivious to her prescence before she dropped one solitary word. "Surprisesssssss." With that, she lunged at Vasilissa. HP: 50

Lissa's ears twitched and she turned at the sound of her voice. Her eyes narrowed and she jumped out of the way, Semuan's attack missing. Stance ready, Lissa moved in circles with Semuan Ya, always keeping her in her view, always keeping a distance apart.
In her mind she went over her training, even if it was only minimal it should be enough to defend herself. She moved a leg forward and put all her weight on it, pushing off, aiming her horn for Semuan Ya. She was tired of living in fear of this mare. Lissa was going to turn the tables - teach Semuan Ya about fear.

Semmy laughed mockingly as she easily sidestepped the girl. Didn't she know that she wasn't even trying yet. She nipped hard at the girl's side to make her jump, to make her squeal.

Lissa twirled her body out of the way of Semuan Ya's jaws, her braid flinging with the motion. She tsk'd. "I thought you were better than that. Guess I was wrong." Lissa tied her braid around her neck, keeping it out of her way.
Shifting her weight between her legs and lunged forward once more, horn aiming for Semuan's rump. She wondered if she could win today. If it was possible. There was a great chance she would lose, she understood this. But a part of her believed in herself. Believed her training would work. Believed everything she'd been doing wasn't a waste of time.
HP: 50.

She didn't know her very well to think her better than that. She fought like her people. She let out a low hiss, "Is that all you have child?" Again she sidestepped--this time with a bit more difficulty.
Lunging forward she aimed her razor sharp teeth at Lissa's side.
Hp :50

Lissa tried to move out of the way but Semuan was too fast. Her fangs dug into Lissa's side and she winced - holding back the cry that threatened to grant Semuan-Ya the satisfaction of seeing her pain. The bite began to tingle and feel funny and soon the pain was gone but she couldn't feel the area. It was an odd feelig. Like a piece of her was missing.
Lissa's eyes darted to the area to make sure a chunk of her wasn't taken out. Luckily, she was all there and if you ignored the blood seeping from the fang marks she was okay. Bringing her attention back to Semuan, she reared herself back and jumped forward, bringing her front legs down upon the mare.
HP: 43.

Semmy darted out of the way just in time, not having expected such a quick response from her foe. The girl was obviously stronger than she thought. She had expected a cry from her, a showing of pain or fear...but she had come a long ways from the arrogance of their first meeting.
Kicking out, she tried to strike Lissa with her hindfeet.
Deals 4 damage!

Lissa was taken back by Semmy's swiftness and the blow knocked her back, winding her. She gasped for air for a moment, sure she'll have bruises when this was over. She wouldn't have to worry about them if she lost, sure Semuan-Ya would kill her. That thought fueled Lissa's body, forcing her to take a breath and force air back into her lungs. The desire to protext the ones she loved made her stand up stall and jump quickly towards Semuan-Ya, slashing at her chest with her horn.
Lissa could not give up. She could not show weakness in front of her enemies. If there was one thing she learned while watching her father it was that courage was the best thing a leader could have. Fearlessness was stupid, he told her once. But not showing your fears is power. Lissa held onto those words, clinging to them like a life raft.
