Hug-bell knew of a flower garden not far from her usual haunts. She was sitting on one of the planters, there were snap dragons sitting in the planters. She was surprised they were still alive specially with the cold and snow.
She pressed softly against the sides of the flower and watched it open and close. "How do you manage to stay alive in such cold weather?" The child had a scarf on with the mittens built in.
However, it was still cold out and she shivered slightly. "Why don't they make fuka's with sleeves..." She sighed softly picking at her puffy sleeves that didn't cover her arms nearly as much as it should.

A heavy cloak was draped over the young, musing girl's shoulders, many sizes too large, but thick and comforting against the still, winter chill. "Even the smallest, most fragile looking things can withstand against the harshest conditions given the chance and having the will." A man dressed in a dark uniform stood, a sharp contrast to the blanket of white snow and pale flowers around them. He stood only a foot away, beside her instead of directly behind her, and watched as she admired the flowers.
"Sadly, they will not last. Winter is not kind enough here for that, but don't worry. They will pass on and, come spring, will give a chance for their daughters and sisters to take their place." He knelt down, admiring the still alive flowers, yet to fully wilt as a swift snow had covered them. He had not seen a senshi so small aside from his daughter, and for this reason, he had far more interest in her than the flora.

The cloak caught her attention first, the dark aura second and then the voice. Her eyes turned towards the source looking at him with a scrutinizing look. The child gave a small shiver, from the cold or from the memories of that battle were uncertain.
"Indeed." She answered. Watching him cautiously, "Hopefully you remember that when it comes to small senshi too."
Her eyes weren't wavering, "I know it didn't in that battle when you almost landed on my friend after throwing that princess to the Negaverse." Yes she was going to hold that against him. Her hand drew away from the flower to fully watch him ready to pull Barnaby from subspace.
She wasn't sure if he was with the negaverse or why his Aurora was chaotic, but she remembered Chibimoon yelling that he was her dad. Which also had the child's curiosity up.

He expected this question, but not from such a small child. However, it would be a nice test in a way, and what better challenge than to convince a small senshi before taking on more demanding minds. Then again, if she was of the 'why?' variety, that went on and on with no end, this could take a while. Best to get his ducks in a row now than later.
Sighing, he reached out, gently touching one of the flowers. "I seemed to have mistook the situation when I arrived. Battles of that degree are something I'm not used to. Not currently, and my memories...." He paused, looking pained as he touched his brow, looking away a moment as if struggling to recall before dropping his hand as if it was all in vain. "...they are still coming to me. I jumped into a situation without fully understanding the situation. It is why I have been working now to learn more about the current war that is raging here in this city." He looked back at the small girl. "Don't you ever make mistakes?"

The child watched the chaos agent as he answered, her eyes seemed to narrow as if she wasn't satisfied with the answer. "If you're not sure of who you're against you shouldn't be in battle."
She was watching him, "I don't make it a habit to attack anyone that could be a friend, but I take the time to find out who that is." She paused, "It shouldn't be hard to figure out who's good and who's bad."
She watched him as he said they're still coming to him. Despite that there was still a degree the child felt like he should've been able to figure out who was good and who was bad. She adjusted her hood slightly, "Yes, everyone makes mistakes." she said with a pause.
"Chibimoon called you father." She paused, "But who are you really?" It was possible she didn't buy who he was suppose to be.

He smiled at her. "You might need some more experience if you think that setting people aside in the middle of battle to make those decisions is that easy. It's very simple for you to make your judgements when you are not the one making the choices. There was very little time for me to make my call, and it seems it was the wrong one. However, I could not stand by and let the crystal be taken. It is the heart of this planet, and is within my birthright to at least make the decision to where it falls to."
He plucked one of the flowers, spinning it between his gloved fingers. "As ruler of your own planet, would you not be opposed to others making decisions that affect your planet without you?" He glanced at her, and continued.
"As for Chibimoon, she is my daughter as much as I am her father. We are linked, and I would do anything to protect her. She is very, very, dear to my heart."

Hug-bell was thinking, "You can feel who's good and who's bad." She pointed out watching him.
"Which I guess makes you to be part of their side." She paused, "I believe Pegasuses, did what she felt was right." Her eyes watched the flower as he picked it, She stood up on the ledge of the flower planter. "You're part of them, despite being chibimoon's father...."
She paused, shaking her head. "Even if I were a princess like Chronos, I would rather make sure anything belonging my planet was in good hands and not in the negaverse."
The child was watching him as he said he'd do anything to protect chibimoon, "Would you come back to our side?" Her yellow eyes were curious as she watched him.

He didn't look at her, and instead sniffed the flower. "I never said I was giving my crystal to anyone back then. Did I say I would hand it to them?" He glanced at her, eyes sharp as he watched her. "And what history of leadership do you have, dear senshi? Have you made any important decisions for your planet? Have you stood atop the very soil of your planet and fought to reclaim it? Have you overseen it's power and looked over it as fragile as a flower under the winds and harsh winters of war?" He rose up, reaching out to take his cloak from her.
"It's easy to talk when you have never been in a position to have been tested. The point you are talking about sides proves how little you know of how things are. We are not supposed to be separated. My daughter is a pure fact of this. The Earth and the Moon were once combined under the same power, separate in identity, but under the same rule. There were no sides under that leadership. My side is beside my daughter."
His gloves worked to clasp the cloak pack upon it's place. "Distrust. Lack of Forgiving. Suspicion. Paranoia. You do my wife proud to be called a senshi. Has your leaders on this side of yours made your heart this cold?" He looked to the fields of flowers poking from the blanket of snow. "Or is there still a chance for understanding to bloom in your heart?"

Hug-bell listened to him as he spoke letting him have his peace. She shook her head, she sighed, "You talk awful pretty." She said her hands on her hips.
"I might be young and I might not understand what's so important about that crystal but I do know there's good knights and there's the negaverse who hurt people. Right now you're on their side, I can feel that."
She watched him, "Your side maybe beside your daughter but you shouldn't feel like the Negaverse. I don't have to be someone important to know that." She pulled down her hood so her curls fell free as she spoke. "I'm friends with plenty of negaverse officers, but they've proven that I can trust them."
She looked at him, "If you can prove that to me, I'd trust you." There was a pause, thinking and shook her head, "There's leaders for us, almost everyone's too busy thinking they're more important than everyone else and telling us chibis to go home."
She looked at him, "So no, the 'leaders' aren't the cause of this. It's your actions and the feeling of the negaverse. I'm not some kid that doesn't understand what most of them do. So like I said, prove to me that I can trust you."

"And you talk with a lot of confidence as if the world was so black and white. I suppose whatever you feel shouldn't matter since it's action that speaks best than any "pretty" words that I may offer. However, I can't pull that out of thin air that easily. However, in due time, my actions will prove much to everyone."
He adjusted his cloak before turning. "The seeds have been placed and in due time, when the season is right, everyone shall see them blossom." With that, he turned to leave.

Hug-bell watched Endymion as he spoke, she nodded, "I know that you can't prove yourself right now." The child was watching him carefully before shifting.
"I hope they prove the right things." She said softly, "And not end up like last time."
She frowned as he leaved, "For chibi moon's sake." When the man left hug-bell gave a small shiver and ran back towards home. She'd have to try to get in touch with Chibimoon again, eventually.
