Alexandre was just beginning his morning of adventure when he noticed with his wings that it had begun to snow quite heavily. Did he dare venture out into the snow today or was it better he stay home and just amuse himself somehow in the cave? Frowning slightly he pulled his wings in front of his face and jumped out into the snow. No chance he was staying in the cave today. Or really any other day. He just loved exploring far to much.

As he trotted along through the snow from his cave he made himself a trail, sweeping up snow with his wings. Knowing the large amount of snow would probably leave him unable to return home again later he decided it was best to stick to the lower parts of the mountain as even if the snow on the ground grew by six feet he would still be able to find his way back.

But as he moved his ears around, listening for signs of life he wondered if others would fair as well as him in this cold and unforgiving season. Quickly he decided that he would instead stay where he was just in case a soquili was unfortunate enough to get lost and make it's way all the here. His adventuring would have to wait for another day. Not that he particularly minded. He would give up everything if it meant helping someone else. His one real flaw.

xxxxxThe sun's light flickered off the snow, nearly blinding the skin-toned mare stepping daintily upon its surface as she glanced down at it. Elawi turned her head, her flowing mane quickly covering her eyes as if shielding her from the burning light. Regardless of the burn of the white light, her amethyst eyes shone. Although her passion was for the fauna of the world, the snow itself was a whole new variation on nature that she found herself entranced with. Shaking her mane out of her eyes, Elawi glanced about the world. Other than a few animal tracks her and there, the smooth surface of the snow remained intact. It was a sight to behold; the quiet virgin state of the earth remaining unsullied, if only for a temporary time.

xxxxxAlthough Elawi enjoyed this pure version of nature, she couldn't help but to be tempted by fluffy appearance of the snow. She knew as a filly she'd enjoyed prancing about in the cold, wet weather, but as she'd grown to appreciate nature more Elawi found herself less apt to destroying nature's flawless state. But oh, how fun it looked! Quickly, Elawi dipped her head and pushed her nose in the embankment of snow just in front of her. The cold overtook her muzzle, chilling her to the bone in the most exciting feeling. Flicking her head up, she watched small clumps of snow fly forward with a laugh. Never would she understand the lure in the snow, but she did know that she couldn't resist it. A bit hesitantly, she stepped forward, dipping her golden hooves in the snow slowly before fulling allowing them to reach the earth again. She sighed, smiling - the snow brought such simple pleasure, so why not enjoy it? Without a second though, Elawi turned and cantered off into the distance, kicking up as much snow as she could when she went. Loud whinnies escaped her lips, a sign of her enjoyment as she continued at the fast pace, unsure of her destination.

Continuing his venture down the mountain side to see if any others would need help getting through this deep snow that was being thickened by fresh snow fall he noticed what sounded like a whinny not to far from his current position. Mistaking it be one of distress Alexandre quickened his pace, going into a full run. Worried that he may not make it to the creature in distress in time. What if they had missteped on the path and injured their leg? Or what if a dark creature took advantage of the snow fall and attacked someone? Well he certainly wasn't going to stand by and let anyone get hurt while he was around.

After a moment's time Alexandre found himself coming to a full stop, snow leaping as he did so, not more then a few inches from the pale tan mare. His breaths were hard, his eyes darting around as if looking for danger. After all it's best not to let you're opponent know you are blind. His ears perked forward, now on full alert. His body tensed as he waited for someone to jump out and attack him.

Realizing after a couple minutes that there was no one there but him in the mare he felt rather embarrassed especially when he realized that he may have spooked her more than helped her. "Uh.... I'm so sorry Miss. I thought you were in distress." He said truthfully, doing the lowest bow he could manage as an apology. "I heard your whinny and thought for sure that a less than savory creature had come out of hiding and attacked you." He said, now raising his head, his eyes focusing on her. "I'm very sorry for frightening you." Alexandre added, his eyes showing his honesty. Very quickly he folded his wings on his back after they had been let loose during his run. Sometimes he noticed that with smaller creatures when they fought an opponent that had the odds stacked against them they often pretended to be much larger. And more often then not it worked. Thus it could work for him to right? Well, thankfully for him another day had passed where he didn't have to find out.

xxxxxThe snowy stallion appeared suddenly, and out of breath. The pale mare previously cantering through the snow stopped suddenly, whinnying in surprise. After taking a quick moment to catch her own breath, she responded: "M-my! You did manage to frighten me, didn't you?" Elawi gave off a breathy laugh, still not quite recovered from his magically appearing. "You wished to save me?" A wide grin spread across her furry lips, tail flicking about. Nothing intrigued her more than the mysterious, handsome, knight. "How... how kind and selfless of you, my dear sir. Unfortunately, this damsel remains out of distress for now. Though, if anything happens, I'll be sure to call for you!" Elawi smirked, twitching her tail about. As she could still see the stallion's breath in the air, she could tell that he had galloped heavily from wherever he'd been resting before, and for what? Nothing more than a silly little mare trying to have some filly-sized fun. It was flattering, really; but perhaps, if he was strictly the type to answer distress calls, it was merely her duty. If that was the case, Elawi still wasn't complaining; as stated before, knights with shimmery coats always tickled her fancy.

xxxxxRecalling her position as a lady, Elawi gasped slightly. "Oh, where are my manners!" She shook her head, long mane following suit in flowing back and forth. "You may call me Elawi," she said gently, bowing her own head towards the male. Once her eyes rose from the snow once again, she took in the stallion's appearance. Although completely lacking in color, he wasn't uninteresting to look at. She could tell from his cloven hooves that he was as much part Cerynei as he was Wind. His mane was of a medium-length, and as pure white as the rest of his body. Though, unlike his coat, it was completely unkempt. It appeared clean and free of any sort of brambles, it was simply wavy to an extreme look of carefree messiness. The stallion had a peculiar, almost exotic look about him, Elawi realized. Never before, in all of her travels, had she encountered someone that appeared like him. She rather liked it. "If I may ask, what might I be able to call you?" With the question, she tilted her head, awaiting an answer.

Alexandre smiled a bit as the mare laughed despite her saying he had frightened her. "I'm sorry to have scared you miss. But yes, if saving was what you needed I would have gladly done so." He said, standing up straight now, a smile still looming over his muzzle. "I think it's better that you are not in distress." Alexandre responded with a light hearted laugh. "Being put into danger is certainly not something that should be considered good." He nodded.

"Elawi..." He repeated, thinking over the uniqueness of her name. It certainly was beautiful in it's oddity. "That is a rather pretty name." He said, smiling once more. Taking a few moments to blink in surprise at his own audacity. "I'm sorry." He said, leaning over and bowing, his wings falling from his back, the tips touching his chest. "My name is Alexandre. But you may call me whatever you desire." He said, taking into account the many that chose to call him something shorter and easier to pronounce. "Most other's call me something other then my name." He added with a friendly tone, returning to his previous stance as his wings were replaced on his back. "May I ask what it was you were doing in the snow to whinny like you did miss Elawi?" He asked, trying not to pry but still very much wanting to know what it was that had caused him to think she was in distress.

xxxxxGrinning, Elawi appraised the stallion once again. Her deep purple eyes grazed over his coat quickly, making sure not to be caught by the male. He was quite stunning; how he kept his coat and mane so shiny and clean, Elawi would never know. Declaring today a day of fun (begun with the foal-ish activity of playing in the snow), the mare decided to respond to him light-heartedly rather than let the opportunity pass up. With a glint in her eye, she said, "I'm not so sure; I'd be willing to be placed in danger if I had the chance to be rescued by a handsome stallion such as yourself." She was normally too timid to make such forward comments, but today she decided to make different. Why not live vicariously for once?

xxxxxElawi replied to his compliment with a slight blush and a quiet "thank you." Watching, her eyes flickered as he bowed forward, wings touching his chest as he did. She concentrated on the span of his wings, figuring they were much larger than any Soquili she'd met before. His name was nice and regal - it sounded like poetry to Elawi's ears. She couldn't imagine why someone would choose to call him anything but Alexandre. "Oh!" Elawi laughed at his inquiry, having assumed that once he'd arrived he noticed that she was merely playing around. "I was merely galloping about and kicking up snow! I was," she giggled again, knowing she sounded silly, "excited over the snow. I was acting a bit like a filly, Alexandre. It wasn't anything to worry about, but it was kind of you to worry, all the same!" Flicking her tail, Elawi found herself very glad that she'd taken to prancing about in the fluffy, white snow. Meeting new Soquili was always an interesting endeavor, and Alexandre especially was nice and knightly; two qualities in a stallion that she could never pass up a meeting with.
