Most nights, Leto spent her time out on patrol. Tonight, however, would be different. Tonight there would be no draining civilians, no hunting Knights and no ranting to White Moon Senshi. Tonight, she was going to visit her friend for the first time since turning back into a human rather than as a cat.
She was lingering in mirrorspace at that moment, trying to decide which mirror to slip through to enter into Micah's home. The bathroom would be an option, but she always worried about someone being in there and she'd rather avoid that awkwardness as often as possible. So first, she peered through the the mirror in the living room to find that Micah wasn't there- although her parents and brother were. She quickly pulled back and finally decided to just try Micah's bedroom.
When she lingered in Micah's mirror, she could only see fragments, like everything was dark and foggy, and any sound being made would be muffled until she went completely through. She could faintly see the silhouette of a body, so assuming that it was Micah and that she was alone, she began to pull herself through. Her hands slipped through the mirror and gripped onto the frame, pulling her face and upper body through. She would remain this way until Micah invited her in- she didn't want to barge into her friend's house unwelcome or uninvited.
"Hi, Micah," she said with a smile. She knew that Micah would not recognize her at first as she had only met her as a cat. But she hoped that she would recognize the accent and not get entirely freaked out.

Micah had been innocently standing at her mirror, shirt up and tucked under her chin, as she considered herself. She had, during her Christmas party, divulged her long kept secret longing for a navel piercing. She was not wondering what she would look like with one. It wasn’t that she feared she wasn’t thin enough. Navel piercings only seemed to look decent on flat stomachs, and Micah had long since flattered her own into near masculine wash boards. It was the idea of a permanent change that scared her. Yes, she could be able to take the piercing out, but it wasn’t like a stick on where he could peel it off whenever she wanted. If she decided she didn’t want it and let it heal over, what happened when she wanted it again? She pursed her lips and poked at her belly button, pushing one of her dangling earings into it. How did that look? She turned this way and that looking at it.
Clacking in her ears made her start. What was that? She blushed at her own foolishness after a moment. Keren had only just put in her cornrows three nights ago, and Micah was still getting used to them. The beads clicking together still concerned her. She would wake in the night to the sounds of locks being picked only to remember that her hair was beaded. She absently curled a braid around her index finger and pursed her lips. So many changes. First the senshi side, then her braids, and now the possibility of a piercing. Oh, what would her parents think.
And then something grabbed her. Micah’s breath caught in her throat, preventing a scream, as hands closed over her shoulders and pulled something else through. What was happening? Her hands flew from her belly to the hands on her shoulders, trying to pry then away while whimpers escaped her lips.It was only when her name was spoke that she stopped wriggling and actually looked at who had emerged from her mirror.
“How do you…” Micah searched the girls face, trying to figure out who she was. It wasn’t until Micah’s golden eyes rested on Leto’s deep rose that she began to beam.
“Leto,” she exclaimed, going to hug her friend, but only ended up running into her own mirror. She blushed again and stepped back. “Oh, ahh… come in…” She didn’t know how else to invite Leto into her home. Step out from my mirror, old friend. It just seemed too dramatic, even for her.

Leto chuckled softly when Micah whimpered and tried to pry her off of her. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!"
She easily slipped through the rippled surface of the full-length mirror when her friend stepped back, the long sheer fabric and black buckled ribbons following her out. She quickly pulled the other girl into a tight hug and kissed her on the cheek.
When she finally pulled back and looked Micah over, an eyebrow quirked. "You look different..." Her eyes narrowed to slits as she peered at her, trying to figure out what exactly had changed.
"Oh hey, your hair! What happened to your pretty curls?" She poked at the beads that were hanging at the ends of Micah's braids. "And what on earth were you doing?" She was, of course, referring to the fact that she had intruded on the other girl with her shirt pulled up to her chin poking at her belly.
"I didn't uh... Interrupt anything, did I? I can come back another time."

Micah’s arms fit effortlessly around Leto, even though she was now human and not the compact kitty she was when they had met. Just as with Lesath, when she was kissed, warmth radiated from where Leto’s lips touched her. She smiled easily as she pulled away. At the mention of her hair Micah tugged at a braid sheepishly. “Ah, Keren did them for me. The curls were getting so hard to manage, they were always tangled and matted. It seemed like I could never keep them neat. This way they’re never out of control. I’m just… not sure if I like them yet.” The beads kept up their delicate symphony, quickly becoming the sound track to her life.
She blushed when she recalled what she had been doing prior to Leto’s sudden arrival. “Ahh… no, you’re fine I was just… thinking.” She grinned again, smoothing her shirt down over her stomach. “It was brought up at my Christmas party that I wanted a navel piercing, and now I was just… you know… seriously considering it.” She shook her head, dismissing the topic with a wave of her hand.
“But enough about me; look at you!” She took Leto’s hands, and laughed as she took a good look at her friend. “If I know a thing or two about senshi, which I do living in this town, it’s what butt wings mean, and you, my dear, Leto, have butt wings.” Unsure though Micah may have been about her standing as a senshi, she knew for a fact that she wanted butt wings, one way or another. Not for the status, but the them wings themselves.

Leto grinned at the mention of Keren- she had met her at Micah's Christmas party as Quinn, so she was well aware of their relationship. "Ohhhh... It looks great. Hey, Who's Keren?" She nudged Micah gently and winked at her.
She was also secretly well-aware of Micah's conversation with Presley at the Christmas party, and therefore her desire to get her belly button pierced. "I've been toying with the idea of a piercing or a tattoo myself, actually! I just haven't really decided what I wanted yet." She shrugged her shoulders slightly. "I'll figure it out eventually, but I think a naval piercing would be super cute for you!"
Her grin quickly turned into a genuine smile when Micah took her hands. "I sure do have buttwings! I didn't when I met you before. As a cat, I mean. Well, obviously I didn't have wings as a cat but when I was human before turning into a cat, I didn't have them. I was just promoted recently! It's weird, having so much power. Never in a million years did I think a year ago when I became a Senshi that I would earn buttwings. I'm Vice Captain of my faction now, too."
She was beaming with pride at herself and how far she'd come since she was awakened.

Micah blushed despite herself as Leto nudged her. To be honest... "I'm... I'm not really sure." Micah shrugged the question away, ignoring the butterflies in her stomach Keren's name. Her hands somehow made thier ways to Micah's hair, still expecting curls but grabbing only braids. She was still getting used to them. She tugged on one anxiously as she gvae up on ignoring the butterflies and switched to trying to stomp them.
"But, oh, I'm so proud of you," Micah gushed, changing the subject abruptly. She inpected the wings on the small of Leto's back carefully and continued, "of course I'd be even more proud of you if I knew what the wings meant!" A lie. Micah knew what the wings meant. Eternal. Leto was an eternal senshi of the Dark Mirror Court. So much more powerful than her Acubens self. There was pride, of course, a good friend of hers had been elevated to such a level. But there was also jealousy. I want that. With power come stability. A sure knowlege of where I belong.
Or maybe it wasn't the status she was jealous of, the the surety of Leto's place. The way she knew where she belonged and where she stood. It made Micah's smile falter just a little before she recovered, beaming more than before.

"Thank you," she smiled broadly at her civilian friend. "Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and say hello. To let you know I haven't forgotten you or your kindness when I was a cat."
She took a few steps backwards, her hands pressing against the cool surface of the mirror behing her. "And also to show off a little bit," her smile turned to a grin. Leto couldn't deny the fact that she really enjoyed letting everyone know just how badass she was. Buttwings were a big deal, damnit! It was her right as a Senshi to show off how far she'd come.
She pushed herself back against the mirror, the surface rippling and absorbing her slowly. When most of her body was concealed, she leaned against the frame of the mirror. "I don't want to bring attention to me being here. Senshi can sense me if they're nearby, I don't want them to think one lives here or that I'm attacking you," she laughed. She hoped that if the majority of her was in mirrorspace they wouldn't feel that she was there- but that was just speculation and she actually didn't have the slightest clue if that was true.
"I can't stay too long, just in case. But just so you know? You throw a hell of a Christmas party," she winked at Micah. There was no harm in letting her know that she was, in fact, at her party. She would never know who she was, but she could know that she was always close by.

If Micah told Leto that she was never afraid that she would be forgotten, it would be a blatant lie. The fact that she didn't, in fact, actually made Micah have to force back tears. She cursed herself inwardly, it was far too easy to make her cry. She sniffed a little, wipping her nose, hiding the few tears that escaped down her cheeks behind her wrist, flicking them away quickly. Her tears, however, were forgotten as Leto began to flaunt her powers. Micah's mouth fell open, watching as Leto half dissappeared into her mirror. Micah stepped forward, trying to see the rest of Leto behind the surface of the mirror, but seeing only the reflection of her own room. The glass had settled from it's seemingly liquid state, but Micah still pressed her fingers to it. Nothing. It didn't give for her. Her golden eyes widened in time with her grin. "Wicked," she breathed, still feeling the mirror around Leto. Leto's comment on her party made her forget about her wonder. Her eyes snapped from the mirror to Leto's face. "Y-you were there," she stammered, failing to hide her blush. But... she hadn't seen her. She'd notice that outfit. And there hadn't been any cats...
