Someone, nobody was quite sure who among the fractured arrancar, had decided that it would be the most opportune time to hold a meeting among all that they could find still wandering the deserts. Of course not everyone had survived the fall of Las Noches and even less had survived the constant dangers of the deserts of Hueco Mundo. Those that were left were sure to be the best at surviving or very new arrancar, naturally made too. It was required that everyone bring something 'interesting' or 'useful' to the meeting however that was only word of mouth but to be polite Kura had decided she would bring something useful.
Of course it would be freezing and dark and so to properly have a meeting they needed a fire and to have a proper fire they would also need wood or some sort of fuel to keep the fire burning. Kura had remembered. In the human world they had lots of trees and they were the perfect material and so although she could not open garganta herself she had managed to convince a gillian to hold open a garganta for her briefly while she chopped down the tree.
She had arrived on the outskirts of a forest and set about working immediately. She looked at the forest and quietly analysed which tree would be the biggest and it's general location and finally found that the tree she was after was likely to be deeper inside the forest based off both the age it would have as well as the fact the inner trees peaked marginally though noticeably higher than any of the others.
Without a word Kura set off deeper into the forest hoping only that someone wouldn't kill the gillian thus leaving her stranded for a while or that some stupid shinigami wouldn't decide to attack her. She wasn't harming anyone or anything so she could see no justifiable reason.

Lounging high up on the thick branches of a mature conifer, Torrik shivered while staring up into the sky through the tick canopy of the forest. Not a big fan of the cold, he often sought refuge among the pine needles to avoid it. Although it wasn't the best alternative to a walled in structure or fort, it was still better than the shelter a bum would call home such as a discarded refrigerator box in an ally-way. It wasn't that he was picky but that he didn't have a choice. His kind was not welcome in the city without hostility.
In spite of the chill, the arrancar was in complete relaxation with one leg over the other and his arms behind his head against the tree. Although he longed for the desert, his long-lost home away from home, he resigned himself in knowing that the sky was the same, no matter where he went. Several years had passed since his resignation from Las Noches. Several years of blissful peace and quiet.
...Then his ear twitched to the sound of something large falling amongst the vegetation. Eyes narrowing at the moon, Torrik accepted the fact that he was no longer alone out in the wilderness. His senses kicking in, he felt no hostile energy in the air, nor was it that of a shinigami who sought to do nothing but kill him. This riatsu was something he hadn't felt in a while. Needless to say, his curiosity was aroused.
Sitting up, he poised himself at a crouch, perching on the branch like some nosy bird or cat... or both? His sharp eyes scanning the forest floor, he was eager to find whatever it was for the sake of observation.

((I've been told to tell you, as you probably know, you need to get your profile re approved. Meanwhile let's get this Quest on.))
Kura had not yet noticed Torrik as she was simply incapable of detecting reiatsu at any level unless used in sight range and if the person was purposely trying to make themselves seen. However this didn't mean she was incapable of using her other five sense and indeed these five were far stronger than her sixth would have been. Although she could not physically see Torrik as it was ,to be straightforward, very dark she still heard the rustling of the trees and knew something was there.
Now aware of this she instantly prepared herself for battle. Taking her shield and halberd in hand she moved towards the place where the sound had arisen from. They had seen her, surely, however they may not know exactly what she planned to do. She moved heavily through the forest her armour clinking and clunking with each step.
Footprints followed clearly behind her she was not trying to be secretive as it was not in her nature. Instead she wanted to make sure whatever was out there knew she was coming and that she was going to make absolutely certain that they knew as well. What had previously been steps now became stomps. As though she were on the path to war. She tested the idea of shouting out to see who it was but decided against it purely because it seemed like a waste. She had made her presence known.
Then, as she neared the source of the sound she stabbed her halberd into the ground, leaving it stuck. This completed her message without having had to use a single word. Whoever it was would know she was serious but that she had no intention to kill anyone. She only held her shield up in case their intentions were ill unlike her own.

((It's taken care of))
The arrancar stared as a moving object came into view. It was obvious that whoever this was, they were going out of their way to disturb the peace. The clanking was almost unbearable- like listening to an old woman complain or a baby crying. It was annoying to say the least. He was unsure of how they knew his location, or the direction to follow for that matter. His movements were often quick, precise, and quiet... in much contrast to whoever this was. It almost made him want to kill it, just to make it silent again.
As the features of this moving thing came more into view, Torrik began to rethink his strategy. A lover of all things amusing, he found the person's movements to be highly entertaining. Who the hell wears full armor in the middle of the forest and what was with the weaponry? Were they off to medieval battle the squirrels and deer? Then again, he did hear trees fall so it was apparent that this person had a grudge against them. He quietly hoped that it wouldn't suddenly dislike the one he was currently sitting in.
It was at that point when another amusing thought crossed his mind. Assessing that armor was heavy and difficult to maneuver around in, Torrik imagined that this person would not be too difficult to knock over. A vast array of outcomes danced across his mind. His favorite being that of him just walking up to it and pushing it over only to watch it flail around in attempt to get back up: kinda like cow-tipping. He had been itching to "play" for quite a while. Birds and other animals had become boring toys long ago.
However, he chose not to move an inch and continued to watch. This was no human or shinigami he had been observing. It was a fellow hollow- a fellow arrancar. Although this type was much weaker in power than himself, he didn't enjoy the idea of it turning hostile to the point of fighting. Surely a ruckus like that would draw unwanted attention to their location. Still, his imagination ran wild in place of taking any real action. It was safer that way.
Watching the other arrancar discard the weapon into the earth, Torrik's eyebrow now raised. Although this creature was still defending itself, it was now obvious that it didn't intend to fight. The arrancar found this odd, considering that most hollows lived for nothing but chaos. Peace was never on the agenda. All they wanted to do was fight, kill, and eat. It was their nature. Torrik understood that he, himself, was not what one would call normal, but the odds of finding another who entertained the notion of peace struck him as odd.
Still, he did not move from the branch.

((By the way Kura is an arrancar. She got a ride with a gillian to the forest since she can't use garganta. Furthermore a Halberd is a type of polearm where a axe and a spear are stuck together.))
It must have been nothing. Perhaps a large bird taking off from a tree. She could not actually see Torrik but merely had a general idea of where he might be based off some sounds that seemed slightly too large for a bird or a squirrel nestling in the trees however it was entirely possible it was the wind. Deciding that there would be no point waiting for something that simply wasn't there Kura took her halberd up once more and moved away more quietly now. If she hadn't even slightly intimidated whatever lay here then she saw no point in trying again. There was only so much clunking around could do and if she really wanted to invoke fear she knew the most effective way was to beat some sense into them.
As Kura moved away, still not entirely silent, she positioned herself next to a tree and took her halberd up. Positioning herself so she could cut it down in one swoop. She put her feet into position and then took her weapon in both hands (she had placed her shield on her back earlier) and pulled both her arms back and then unleashed a lightning fast swing. Her weapon itself was too short to cut through the tree but with the physical force of an arrancar tempered to still remain precise such a feat was easy. The tree fell down and regardless of her heavy armour Kura moved like a shot to catch the tree before it fell. A blast of reiatsu radiating from her as she did so as she was using it as fuel to increase her movement speed dramatically.
She took the massive tree on her shoulder managing to hold it up however it was awkward and so she had to hold it with both arms wrapped around it. She could just barely grip it but it was sufficient. It would be convenient to be able to walk on air right now but such a feat was impossible and she simply accepted that. Instead she decided that she would slowly nudge her way back through the forest and so she did. Slowly but surely Kura made her way passing the tree through other trees and finally until she was outside the forest with the gillian she had brought with her waiting for her.
Good. She could actually get home. It had indeed worried her that such a large presence would be easily protected but it was a forest. Shinigami were unlikely to appear here and especially so ones who could take on a menos like a gillian. What was the worth in controlling an area where not a single human lived?

((I fixed my post. Reading these on a tiny netbook is proving to be a pain on the eyes))
Torrik's silence had apparently worked as he witnessed the other arrancar take up their weapon once more and continued about their business. It was almost too easy yet boring at the same time. Torrik didn't settle well with boredom. He had been sitting on it for too long. The temptation to follow had taken hold of his wrist and led the way.
Crouching even lower on the branch, he peered out ahead, mapping his route. Seconds later, he kicked off hard and launched himself off the branch and onto another sturdy limb of the nearest tree. He landed close to the trunk to ensure that the branch didn't move and make noise to announce his presence. His clawed hands gripped the branch automatically to secure himself from falling forward from the momentum of a quick stop. Immediately recovering his balance, he jumped from that branch to another, then another.
When the other arrancar came back into view, Torrik halted on the branch of a huge oak and watched, somewhat impressed, as the arrancar amputated another huge plant from the earth and managed to catch it in spite of the heavy attire it wore. When the burst of riatsu hit him, his throat itched a bit as he inhaled. His stomach growled, reminding him of how long he had gone without devouring another. This was not about to happen, as he had now taken a liking to stealing and eating hotdogs and yakitori from street vendors in the city. They didn't quite sustain his natural appetite, but they tasted awesome.
Getting his mind away from food, Torrik observed the creature lug the tree away and once again, was out of sight. He continued to follow, now curious as to where this tree was headed. The thought of the other arrancar using it to build a cabin shot through his mind. The idea of what such a structure would look like somewhat amused him but it wasn't enough. He needed something more.
Reaching the edge of the forest, he was able to see that there was another hollow, a gillian, with the arrancar. Judging by the arrancar's behavior around it, the lower creature was obviously a companion, or perhaps a pet. Maybe it was a snack for later made tender by love and care. Torrik never imagined the idea of having a companion, then again, seeing this reminded him of the young numero who used to follow him around. She was the closest thing to ever having a companion, but she was also still annoying.
Suddenly his brain yielded at the idea of companionship. The memories had snuck up on him and was now taking over. Was he actually lonely? It was true that this had been the first time in years he'd seen another of his own kind, but he imagined he wouldn't give two shits about it. Now that it was happening, it was easier said than done. The thoughts of revealing himself started to prod his temples. No, no, no, no...
What a stupid idea.

((I presume the orange text is audible speech? Tell me if I'm wrong. I'll sort it out.))
Just as she had cast all doubts about there being a person being around she heard the sound of distant (or was it hushed) speech. She could not make out the source nor could she tell what they were saying but someone was here. They seemed friendly too given that they hadn't yet attacked her in spite of the fact they had no doubt found a chance at least once while she was carrying the log. If this was the case then she would have to leave them the message. It seemed unlikely that it was a hollow given that the creature hadn't attacked her but perhaps it was simply a lower class of hollow and thus didn't dare make a move lest it be torn to pieces. Kura was not sure she could stop herself from using too much force on a ordinary hollow herself if she had to defend herself. It would be a shame but it would be the fault of the hollow she reasoned to herself. Any ordinary hollow stupid enough to attack an arrancar probably already knew the consequences and was aware of the possibility of death.
"I don't know if there's anyone there." She said loudly to herself. It was a genuine concern. She had a feeling someone was watching her because of a few slightly mysterious sounds but that wasn't proof enough. It could of course all be in her imagination and being in such a loud place (relatively) was prone to causing such reactions. "But if there's a hollow and you've been away since Las Noches fell." She didn't think about whether or not Torrik would actually know this crucial piece of information. As far as Kura knew every Arrancar of relevance knew that Las Noches was no more. As a result she was certain that anyone who was so expertly able to conceal their appearance would be aware of this information. "We're meeting up to discuss some." Kura paused to think. She didn't actually know what they were going to discuss so she decided to use a fairly boring word to end her sentence. "Matters."
She thought to herself for a second. She could give whoever it was five minutes or so could she not? The meeting or more likely party wasn't set to begin for a while yet and she could arrive at the location instantly. If there was a hollow here and he or she wished to come to the meeting, or more likely party, then they should have someone to direct them to it. The gillian could wait. The gillian could always wait. A creature with no mind was not going to ever say to Kura anything like 'I'm bored.' The very idea was simply absurd.
Meanwhile, Kura decided to reflect on some thoughts of her own, if this creature were to come down what exactly would she say to it? Was it even worthwhile waiting five minutes for something that probably wasn't there. Kura started to internally get slightly angry with whoever it was especially if they hadn't come down yet. What could they possibly be scared of she thought. She had already shown she meant no harm. Perhaps there was something else to it but Kura couldn't possibly fathom what it was.

((They're his thoughts. When he speaks, there's quotes around it.))
"I don't know if there's anyone there." was the first audible thing Torrik heard come out of the other arrancar. The voice was female, which he was somewhat astounded by. The only other female arrancars he ever knew was small, weak, and irritating, not someone who could lob down trees in a single swing, let alone carry it. Torrik didn't boast in strength himself, but he made up for it in other ways that was suitable to his nature. Although this other female arrancar was larger than he, he was most likely quicker. They were possibly equals.
Torrik then caught himself. He had been mindlessly sizing this other arrancar up with battle in mind: A ridiculous idea. In spite of his discontent for fighting all the time, his instincts were prodding his brain and thirsty for slaughter. Maybe this was a bad idea to follow...
Those irritating thoughts came skidding to a halt when the female voice then told him that Las Noches had fallen. His eyes widening, Torrik felt something in the pit of his stomach that had nothing to do with hunger. These had been the words he had been longing to hear for a very long time. Aizen, the other elites, and that stupid castle they were all contained in was finally destroyed: No longer an eyesore in his beautiful desert home. The idea of it made him smile a bit. No words could express the happiness he felt. This was the best damn news he'd ever heard in his entire meaningless life. He was finally free to roam whichever plain he pleased once again without Aizen's espadas hunting him down.
Accapello is gone too...
His stomach did a little flip again. He had abandoned the child as well and she was most likely destroyed as well. At this point, he was unsure if it was satisfaction he was feeling, or guilt.
Snapping back to reality, Torrik peered out at the other arrancar to see that she was still standing there. Was she waiting for him? She had mentioned a meeting for other hollows and was most likely expecting him to attend. It sounded stupid to him- Hollows getting together to talk? It sounded like another pointless fracas just waiting to happen. Then again, to watch would be highly entertaining to him. Nobody told him he had to participate. He would simply observe, like he always did.
Without another thought, he kicked off from the tree branch and disappeared in a blur. Sonido.
A split second later, he was standing in the grass just a few meters away from the female arrancar- facing her. Not one for exchanging greetings, he didn't say anything. Instead, he raised his right hand in a half-hearted wave. He could care less how he did it. All he wanted was to follow to the other side as he had forgotten how to even open the rift to the other world.

((Ah. It's his inner voice. My apologies. I'll not make the mistake twice.))
Although Kura was a little shocked (and immediately on her guard) to see another arrancar before her using the technique that only an arrancar could possibly use she was pleased too. Her suspicions had been correct although mostly founded upon nothing and not without risk to the hollows themselves as a whole. He could definitely have taken her out with a well placed attack to the neck if he was fast enough and she didn't doubt that for a second. She began to size Torrik up. He was a tiny bit shorter than her as he himself had noticed but he definitely looked agile. Probably a lot more agile. Most telling that he wasn't human was the ears though. Like those of a bird of some sort. She wondered briefly if he actually had human ears anywhere but discarded the thought quickly as it was not productive however it gave her some foresight into what was likely to happen if he decided to use his resurrecion and she knew if he wanted to he could become a very painful opponent for her. Another thing she noticed was that he wore the garb of an arrancar from Las Noches. The classic white but always heavily modified. It was a telling sign of how old or out of contact he must be if he still wore it.
When he waved Kura simply nodded. Acknowledging that he existed was probably all he wanted. Else he would have said something else or asked a question. She decided against telling him that she was glad to see him as she would be to see any brother or sister arrancar. Instead she directed two simple words to the gillian who held the way back to Hueco Mundo open. "Let's go." One would presume it was directed at the gillian but it could have been directed at either Torrik of the gillian. It probably would have held two completely different meanings for the two. The gillian would take it as a command but how Torrik would interpret it was a mystery.
The gillian began to roar and the universe itself started to crack and then finally shattered like glass being smashed from a central point making a small hole in itself and revealing a formless grey swirl. Anyone and especially a hollow would recognise it as a garganta. The technique which allowed them to be such effective invaders and so good at escaping and yet which neither of the two arrancar could perform it seemed. Kura stepped into it and followed the gillian. It would know where to go even if she did not. She faced her back towards Torrik. It was a sign of trust that she was willing to do so and she only hoped he would not betray it.

((Not a problem, I made enough mistakes this time around to have no authority to judge anyone.))
Somewhat glad that she didn't speak much, Torrik nodded in return. The last thing he wanted was someone to break into conversation or prod him with questions right off the bat. He hated this, considering the other espadas found his silence to be insulting and would result in further irritation. She seemed to have a lot of inward and outward respect. Not one who was conceded or blinded with pride. Now that he was closer to her, he could make out the details of her armor. Being one to read expression, Torrik felt somewhat uneasy at the fact that her face was concealed beneath it. She was to be trusted, but only to a certain extent.
The woman spoke again. Two precise, down to business words that suited him just fine. He didn't take it as an order but more of an offer if directed at him. Not really concerned with who she was actually speaking to, himself or the gillian, he was going to go whether she wanted him to or not. Torrik longed for the feeling of the white sand under his feet once more. Nothing was going to hold him back now. What he did once he got on the other side was his business.
He watched in wonder as the garganta- the rift to the other side, opened with ease. Absorbing the technique as he watched, Torrik felt somewhat ashamed that he had forgotten it. Well, it was more like he never bothered to remember as long as Aizen still existed. It wouldn't surprise him if he didn't look at Hueco Mundo the same way as before. There was also a high chance that he'd be frequently peering over his shoulder to see if that colossal structure still stood on the horizon. The truth would never really seep in. Torrik would forever be haunted by that man and his stupid empire.
The female arrancar had turned his back to him- a sign of trust known to all predators. Torrik was going to honor it, considering she too honored (though it probably wasn't on purpose) his preferences of silence. He took a step forward, then disappeared. Using sonido to do the miniscule task was somewhat overkill but the possibility of something standing in his way was the first thing on his mind. Nothing was going to stop him, not now, not ever again. He was going to do what he wanted from now on.
((I'll assume this will be taken to Hueco Mundo?))
