This is a solo RP. Honor sucked. Tsunami curled her leonine tail around herself as she lay on the floor of her latest home. Since she had made her pact with Jayden she'd found her life had taken on a new meaning. It was almost like the batwalker had come in and grabbed the reins of her life - making her dance to his beck and call. The mare sighed. She'd been given orders not to leave - for her own safety of course. Her gaze took in the cave she was currently residing in before she closed her eyes. She dared not keep them closed for too long though. But it allowed her a respite of sorts in the odd way that she could imagine what home looked like. Tsunami deeply missed her mother the most. The lands would be changing to winter now and it would have been her first with everyone in the herd. Even her little companion seemed forlorn. It continued to hover nearby but it didn't seem as spirited as it once was.
Getting to all fours Tsunami watched the entrance of the cave for any sign that Jayden was close by. It wouldn't hurt to get a little bit of fresh air. The winds that had been blowing earlier had ceased and the light that filtered through to her position seemed weaker ... almost promising inclement weather. It'd be a nice change; weather that matched her bleak mood. It seemed fitting. Catching a glimpse of darkness walking towards the cave Tsunami crept back to the corner where her bedding was and lay back down...the picture of complete innocence.

They had moved yet again. Jayden seemed almost keen on not staying in one place for too long. Perhaps he feared that someone would investigate why a mare would willingly stick around for so long. Tsunami didn't really question the matter as they drudged through the snow. Day after day of moving here and there seemed to be taking its toll on the mare. Her strength was flagging. Sometimes they would rest for a bit and Tsunami would be able to forage a bit of vegetation for herself but it wasn't always enough. Jayden seemed to forget about her dietary needs and she wasn't about to remind him just yet. He had no issue with food as it was. He would merely hunt down creatures for his sustenance. At least he remembered that he could not hunt her.
Perhaps this was a lesson in life that she needed to learn. Things did not always seem to appear what they genuinely were. In this case: a friendly stranger could turn out to be a bloodthirsty monster. Tsunami shivered as a tree above her showered her flank with a dump of snow. She gave a heavy sigh as she followed the batwalker in front of her. Her little companion flew off its perch and attempted to clear the snow from her back. Tsunami glanced up from her musings and spotted yet another dark outline of a cave on the horizon. It looked like it was going to be home sweet home for a little while. Peering down at the ground she was thrilled to see tiny shoots of grass struggling to stay alive. If they were there ... perhaps she could convince Jayden to let her out of the cave for a while.

Second thoughts; maybe third thoughts as well raced through Tsunami's mind. She was alone for the moment so it was her thoughts that preoccupied the mare. It had been a while since she had thought of home and what she might be missing in her family's lives. There was a lot that she wished she could try to do to reverse the meeting she had had with Jayden for the obvious reasons. At the same time though - Tsunami had seen more of the Kawani lands imaginable through her travels.
There wasn't much interaction with strangers that they might come across but Tsunami would have to admit that the questioning looks weren't bothering her as much anymore. Perhaps she was adjusting to this situation. It was a terrifying thought. The company she kept now could be her downfall later in life. With a resigned sigh Tsunami grazed quietly.
Their newest hideaway seemed ideal for the moment. Enough grew that she was able to graze each day and not worry about hunger gnawing at her stomach. It also seemed like they'd be staying here for a while. It was the best news for the mare. She'd be able to recover a little from the constant travel. Their new location also allowed her the chance to maybe spread her wings and fly. She'd missed this activity the most. But they were tucked away from the rest of the world in this new location so there wasn't anything to fear.

She'd been able to fly lately. Tsunami had missed the sensation of the wind underneath her wings. She was of course under close scrutiny as she flew. Jayden had laid out very strict conditions for her to be able to fly. A reward system if you would. Behaving well earned her this right. To be able to feel this sort of freedom was exhilarating. Tsunami was worried that she would have forgotten everything about flying. It was not the case. Her wings had been stiff the first time she'd tried flying again. It had almost caused her to plummet to the ground below.
But flying would be something that she could never forget. The information bloomed into her mind and she pumped her wings to prevent a tragedy.
What was going on back home? Lately she'd been having dreams that were rather unpleasant. Was it a result of her isolation from the herd that caused her to dream of tragedies? It was a sad thing when the mare couldn't even trust her own dreams. Her wings ceased their flapping motion as she locked them into a controlled glide. A sound had reached her ears. It looked like it was time to land for now.

Things had been tense lately. Jayden seemed more intent on keeping her out of sight. He'd canceled her privilege of flying for her own safety. That was the line he'd used. Tsunami was a little curious of that statement. How exactly could keeping her cooped up be safer then allowing her the joy of flight? The batwalker continued to provide company and food for her. He occasionally left to hunt and usually left after making sure she'd adhere to his orders.
It was at times like these when Jayden wasn't about that Tsunami did a little exploring of her own. The cave they had settled into for the meantime held a larger cavern system that was just asking for her curiosity to ascertain the mysteries beyond. It kept her thoughts off of home and her mother and allowed her to get a little bit of exercise at the same time. Jayden might have forbidden her to fly in the open air outside but she could manage short bursts of flight in the cave if she was careful. Her wingtips occasionally brushed against the walls of the tunnels and she would lose a few feathers but Tsunami was as content as one could be.

Now she'd done it. Tsunami had offhanded made mention of her cave explorations and as a result Jayden moved them once again. Tsunami now had less of a place to explore as their newest location was an even smaller cave. Jayden stood at the entrance blocking the inclement weather. He'd not left her alone recently and Tsunami felt the tension between them. His desire for children still drove him to not physically harm her it seemed. The promise she had made still bound her to him for the time being. Had she not agreed to his terms she could have been safe and sound within her mother's herd.
A lone tear trickled down her face as she stared longingly at the world beyond. Maybe soon she'd be blessed with the chance to fly freely again. For now she was grounded; literally and figuratively. How did she keep getting into these messes? The mare sighed and gave a bit of a glare towards the motionless stallion before huffing loudly. Might as well try and get a good night's sleep.
