Moon Hunters Report! Truthfully he had no idea if they would listen to him let alone show up, but, at the very least they deserved to know what was happening on the island and to know that if they ******** up, Marcus would look bad because he was the only damn intermediate trainee. The moon division was a bit small but, better to be small and work well then be large and possibly ******** up.

The Dorm room commons were pretty nice, the pool table, chairs, coffee machine. Plus it wasn't like they could get lost trying to find it. Text written and sent he, sat on the sofa, wondering if this was a good idea, leaving trainees to watch trainees. They might set the island on fire or something.
...
Note to self: don't let anyone near fire.

Deryk was still not feeling so great from the holiday withdrawal he was going through. So when he got a text for a meeting, he wasn't quite as stoked as he normally would be. He just wanted to loll around in his room, doing whatever. Even so, the death trainee went ahead to the commons room. Maybe he could get some coffee while he was there.

Yes. That sounded like an excellent idea. Maybe later on, he'll try to kill some shadowlings at the Shadow Run course. That might help him keep his mind off of whatever the hell was bugging him as of late. Though, that would have to wait until he was sure he had time. He wasn't sure what this meeting was all about.

Once at the dorm commons, he spotted Marucs sitting at the couch.

"Hey. 'Sup?" he greeted, not quite as cheery as usual. Immediately, he went to the coffee machine to grab a cup.

Harrison wasn't sure if the text qualified as a mission debriefing or what. The word report was pretty official, so in the end he laced up his boots, pulled on his jacket, grabbed B0nez, and made his way to the commons.

He and Marcus had sparred, but he hadn't talked to the guy too much outside of that. He liked chili dogs. They both like stabbing things.

There wasn't anything to graze on, so Harrison nodded to Deryk and found a table to lean against.

"So uh, what's going on?" he asked Marcus.

Nodding to Harrison as he came along, Deryk felt his phone buzz as he sipped his coffee. Checking to see what was up, he saw that he had a text from Jerry. For... a Sun hunter meeting? Apparently they were going to use something he had given them. Wait. What?

The trainee was confused, but it sounded.. kind of important?

"Uh. Looks like I gotta head somewhere. Sorry guys. Catch ya later." he said before stepping out into the field.

If he hadn't had anything better to do, the young Moon hunter would've probably missed the text for a moon division meeting. Lucky enough, all he had been doing was sitting in room rethinking over his attitude, While the moon hunter didn't care what other's thought, he had been thinking of a certain someone and how he treated and was treated by them.

After all, what was a 17yr old boy to do but think over his actions? Especially since he had already done his training session for the day.

Bouncing out of his bed, he grabbed his jacket and slung it over his shoulders, taking a little extra time to roll up the sleeves before leaving his room.

It didn't take long to get to the commons and well, what he was met with made his head c**k to the side. So far, It looked like only Marcus and another moon hunter, who he had yet to meet was there. Sadly, he looked around for Ceres or Ryan, the only two Moon hunters he really knew.

"Are we in trouble or something?" Dakota waved to Marcus, "The Popo didn't catch our trail again and hunt us down here?" That was his lame attempt of a joke as he remembered the one and only mission he had been on with the older Moon Hunter.

Petra peeked into the common room just as Deryk was leaving, watching him go with a tip of her head before swiveling her head around the room to look at the others. Dressed in what looked to be spandex shorts and a white tank top, it seemed she had been working out before the text message had came, the white hair that had replaced most of the black sticking to the sides of her face, brow lined with sweat. Not very many people had started to file in yet, but she seemed reluctant to enter the room completely just yet, looking over her shoulder and clearly back at what she had been doing. Or perhaps towards the showers. It was hard to tell.

"Hey... this important?" She peered over at Marcus, whom she'd already identified as the texter.

The answer to that was likely a 'yes,' but the least she could do was provide them the courtesy of her showering quickly before they had to sit with her.

Well then. One moon hunter so far was better than non right? "Hey Deryk. Um- see you around? " he chuckled. Oh well, one accidental text wasn't the worst possible thing. Harrison got a smile, the others a wave. "Thanks for showing up so quickly. Oh." He chuckled at Petra. "Sorry if it was at a bad time. Figured better sooner than later. Um.. well. To make a long story short, the hunters have all gone on a mission and left us intermediate trainees sort of 'in charge'. I figured to let you guys know since... With no hunters on the island, no one can really run the training courses, and no doubt the medical staff have gone off as well, making sparring a bit of a risk. I figure that something we can do however is go into town and begin reconstruction. But-"

They were a bit lacking in everyone in the moon hunter division. "Kind of need to get the rest of the moon hunters here. If you guys want to get ready to doing some construction work that's find. Just- meet here in 30 minutes?"
PostPosted: Wed Jan 04, 2012 9:59 pm

The moon trainee's eyebrows lifted slightly as she listened to the Intermediate trainee, clearly intrigued by what he had to say. Now that the immediate danger of 'oh hi, jump in this helicopter we're going for an impromptu mission' was over, Petra seemed more at ease, the tension slipping from her expression to leave her more curious than suspicious. In the doorway, her body, which had been wound tight from being at the gym, began to relax marginally, her hand sliding further down the door frame. Taking a few steps closer, she straightened from where she'd been a little hunched, moving just out of the way in case anyone else decided to enter, leaning against the wall just inside the room, arms folded loosely.

"Hm... wonder what they're up to," she replied, mostly to herself -- if Marcus knew anything, she was sure he'd tell them when everyone had gathered. As far as peers went, he was one of the more reliable, as far as she'd seen, and she really had no qualms with him filling in for the full-time hunters. She did, however, seem a little put out that they wouldn't be able to use any facilities or be able to spar, which had been primarily what she'd been doing to keep occupied these past few days, but the mildly annoyed look evened out quickly as well. For now, things didn't seem urgent enough that she felt the need to be in the room right this second, so when Marcus gave her permission for a temporary leave, she straightened, unfolding her arms.

"Da," she replied with a short nod, already in the process of turning to leave. Chin tilted over her shoulder, she made sure the Intermediate trainee had heard before she jogged down the hall back towards the gym and its showers, it being closer than their dorms.

After receiving the message, Ryan made his way down to the common room and eyed the other moon trainees with interest.

Since he had woken up, he had only met a couple other trainees from his division, Dakota and Marcus among those few, and now they had all been summoned here where he could possibly see them all for the first time. What for? He had no idea, but he was curious to see what the rest of his fellow division mates were like. Then again, if it turned out they were anything like that moon hunter, Julie, he would rather not find out.

"What about construction work?" He asked, passing by Petra, just she made her exit and catching the tail end of their conversation. Which he was pleased to hear was something other than another mission dealing with the search of alcoholic beverages.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 05, 2012 8:22 pm

After a quick shower and a change of clothes, Petra returned readily enough, mostly dry and dressed in her hunter's coat, toweling her hair off just as she entered the room. A few darker spots where she hadn't been completely dry showed on her black tank, and her skirt clung to her legs a little as she meandered further into the room, but for the most part she was presentable -- far more so than she had been before. She knew Marcus had given them a half an hour, but in general she thought it was better if she finished as soon as possible, rather than potentially miss something important. Besides, she was interested in asking a few questions before the 'meeting' started -- nothing formal, but just make some idle chat, perhaps learn a little. It couldn't hurt -- worst that happened was he wouldn't say anything, and she spent the time instead seeing what the other moon trainees had to say. She hadn't met very many.

And she could see why. As she lifted the towel from her still-damp hair, Petra's eyes drifted around the common room, her eyebrows furrowing as she took note of how few people were there. From where Harrison was leaning against the table, she gave the familiar face a nod of greeting, lifting a hand to give him an offhanded wave. She wasn't familiar with the dark-haired boy, and she tilted her head a little as she stared unabashedly at him, giving Dakota a slow, clinical look over. The boy she'd passed as she'd left was the last of the ones there, besides Marcus and herself -- he too earned himself a slow look over, sizing Ryan up with mild, albeit chaste, interest before she refocused on the intermediate training, giving him a bewildered look.

Clarice's voice blasted out from seemingly everywhere. While her voice was mildly pleasant most days an in person, there was a strange tinny and artificial edge to the speaker warning that made it sound incredibly ominous.

It was only punctuated by half the common room literally tearing open to reveal a new guest.

As it was, she didn't get the chance to say anything, much less ask where the rest of the moon trainees were. A crackling overhead silenced her immediately, drawing her attention to the speakers that littered the center of nearly every ceiling in Deus, her eyes snapping to it as if there were an image to look at instead of just the tiny holes in the ceiling where the speaker was. Cocking her head to one side, Petra's eyebrows furrowed a little as she listened, confused for a second before it suddenly dawned on her what it was saying -- immediately her eyes snapped open, a startled look spreading over her features.

And that was when the thing burst into the room. Abruptly and without warning, half the common room was gone, replaced by what was literally a monster.

"s**t."

All the higher-up hunters weren't here. Hell, even half of the moon trainees weren't here, and defense was kind of their thing. The speaker continued to repeat the message over and over, like a broken record, but she had long since stopped listening. Instead, her midnight blue eyes snapped down to the only intermediate hunter in the room, her startled expression already shifting to one of determination. Her fingers had already gone to her neck, tugging off the pendant that was her weapon, the flash of light signifying its change happening even before it had slipped all the way between her fingers. What replaced it was a large, foreboding looking mace, and Petra moved automatically to stand to Marcus' side, stance defensive. "Marcus?" she asked, deferring to the intermediate hunter. They'd awoken from the pods at the same time, but there was a reason he had been promoted and she hadn't.

As Petra left and Ryan arrive, the guy got a somewhat melancholy smile. Marcus owed him still for the horror that was the booze mission. "I thought it might be good to go into the town and work on repairs, get things fixed and help us in that whole defense thing. I don't know where the others, but give them a few-" Just as he was ready to finish his sentence, the crackle of the speaker echoed.

God. ********. Damn it.

Of course s**t would happen when all the hunters were gone. Just their luck. As the room ripped a new hole and a thing came out from it, Marcus grit his teeth. ******** monsters. Earring came off and blade formed in a flash of blue- it was time to get serious. Petra was already on the ball. "Yeah? If you have a question ask it now, because I'm not keen on giving this thing a chance to attack."

That said, Dis was hissing in his head, asking if it was meal time. As blade got the thing and Marcus was knocked back, he hissed. "I don't think it intends to play nice."

Marcus seemed to have a similar idea. Jumping up immediately, he was ready in half a second, already on top of the situation. He wasted only half a second on her, gritting out an answer to her questioning tone before he moved in to attack -- and she would have expected no less. Watching the intermediate hunter jump in, Petra laughed a little under her breath, rolling one shoulder. "Just wanted to know the game-plan," she replied simply, not even really to him, since he was already caught up in fighting the monster. Besides, no more answer needed. The game plan was to attack.

Alright, she could dig it.

'I will take it with ketchup,' Cain purred in her ear sadistically, practically feeling his hot breath, seeing his demonic smirk.

Tightening her fingers on the hilt of her mace, she twisted them back and forth a few times, just getting a good feel for the weight of her weapon before she ducked her body down, getting ready to shift. When she moved, she moved quickly -- lifting the weight from one leg, she dipped to the left, circling to try to get out of the creature's field of vision. As she moved, she was already swinging her mace back, bringing it as far back as she could before she arced it hard, diagonally, putting as much power behind it as she could. She waited until she felt flesh beneath the spiked head, tearing into it deep before she leaped back, readying for another attack.

Petra, you beautiful moon hunter, please don't ever transfer. Wincing as the monster got Petra, Dis was practically gleeful that they were in a fight, never mind Marcus was hurting.
"Game plan is kick it's a**, call the other hunters and figure out what's going on. The barrier shouldn't have let these guys even in here." The hell was going on? Some kind of planned attack? Lure the senior hunters away and attack the island?

"Nice hit by the way." As soon as he said it. WHAP. He was hit and skidding back on his side. "********." That would leave a mark.
