Atilla did not quite know the chances of actually running into a childhood friend from your past... one lion out of hundreds, thousands even, on the savannah. But it had happened. It had happened, and it had filled him with immense and immeasurable joy. Being reunited with Imre had been a dream of his since even the day after Imre and his family had left the pridelands, and now it was a reality. There could be no greater gift in life, especially since his childhood friend had decided to stay with him. To journey with him, to hunt with him and to be there for him. It gave him a pleasant rumbly feeling in his chest to think that Imre had also been thinking of him this whole time, and that he hadn't changed much. He had matured, he was still quieter of the two and more responsible. He easily took the lead without realizing he was doing it and he was especially cute whenever Atilla teased him.

The downside was that the guy didn't ever let Atilla rest! How long had they been walking? Of course, the other male had almost joyfully told Atilla that he'd been going in the wrong direction of the Kusini'Mwezi lands once he knew Atilla's destination. So he supposed it was a good thing he couldn't stop and take a nap every half hour or so, the only breaks afforded were those for hunting and sleeping in the early parts of the day. Once in a while they would stop to socialize if they ran into another lion, but for the most part it was just he and Imre alone on their journey!

"Can' we no' jus' res' a little while? Five minutes?" Atilla whined, glancing over to his darker pelted companion. He suddenly grinned mischievously and butted his head into the other's shoulder, nuzzling slightly. "C'mon Imre, we could jus' take a nice res' in the warm sun... it'd be comfy an' warm, jus' you an' me." He purred out. He knew his friend was most likely to get embarrassed, or tell him to stop his nonsense, but he couldn't help it.

If there was still hours in the day, Imre wanted to take use of it. To him, the best time to travel was when the sun was out. It meant less on the roads, for others would chose to walk with the moon as their light. Imre was different than that. Even though he had a darker pelt that made him more vulnerable in the sun, he took his chances. He would just have to suck up with Atilla’s complaining…constant.complaining.

“Do you want to get to the Kusini lands before your life ends, Atilla?” Imre asked almost rolling his eyes at his friend. It was a typical gesture, kind of like a mock argument between the two.

“Five minutes will turn into an hour, and then that hour will turn into nightfall.” Imre thought his logic was perfect.

The charcoal pelted lion paused at the rubbing from the other male. More antics that he knew well of (or, at least he use to know well of. Atilla still appeared the same old lion he once knew). “Not now, Atilla. If you are a good boy, then perhaps we can find some…nice time together.” Since no one was around, the male was a little more open, however, things changed when strangers came into the scene.

Loafing about in the dusty plains of the Savannah, Votla could be found, her tail twitching every now and again as she watched the clouds lazily roll through the sky. She didn't much care where the hell she was at, nor who saw her. If she needed to, she could easily persuade them into either leaving her alone, or spending the night with her. Either of which being a win-win situation for her. There was only one thing that was bothering her though. She was alone, she wasn't getting any attention, and she had been that way for a rather long period of time. What in the world was up with that? Wasn't it said that a musician that didn't get any attention was in fact, no musician at all and more a soppy mess? Scoffing at the mere thought, Votla decided to at least give her lungs a good warm up. Perhaps something beautiful would find its way to her while she was doing so.

Taking a deep breath in, the lioness closed her eyes and envisioned something pleasant, beautiful, and magical. Something she would do anything for, and soon after the words start spewing forth. Like a siren of the deep the lioness called to whomever would listen, hopefully dragging them toward her, filling her need for attention.

"If your feet hurt from walking too much,
then I will tend to them, with a velvet touch."

Bobbing and swaying her body to her own beat, the lioness slowly got to her feet, feeling the drums of the earth playing under her as she continued her song. It was a gift of her pride which allowed her to be so musically inclined, and how she thanked the deities for allowing her to have that gift.

"If your lungs just don't want to work today,
then I'll perform a mouth to mouth until you're okay."

Now she was into it, swaying and singing with no care at all. It was true, she was vulnerable when she was like that, but that didn't matter to her. She was in sheer bliss now, and anyone who came across her would easily see this and feed from her energy. They didn't call her the fire breather for no reason. Music was her passion, and she could either burn another with her passion or heal them with it. It was the listeners choice.

"Don't you just love the feeling of my paws, circling your lips.
Don't you just love the desire taking hold of you, I can tell you do.
I know all your favorite spots, and tonight we will connect the dots..."

"Why would I e'er wan tha? Much ra'er be dead when I show up, create a bitta stir 'mung those pride-cats!" He said, his cheerful tone painting a picture of sarcasm as he stuck his tongue out at the other. Though Imre was ever sensible, stating that the day would waste into the night and it was a fairly accurate judgement. Atilla enjoyed traveling by the light of the stars and the moon, though that might have been half the problem with never knowing where he was going.

He grinned and just stared at the other as they walked along. "Nice time together, eh?" He purred the words out in a playful tone, then playfully gave a large, slobbery lick to Imra's cheek. "Wouldn' yeh rather just snuggle til night fall?" He teased, but then his ears twitched and the smile slid from his features. "Wassat?" He said in a quieter tone, looking confused for a moment.

His gaze was torn away from Imre and he halted for a moment, head tilting. "Singin'?" He gave a questioning glance to the other male. Without asking permission, because he honestly thought Imre would tell him to ignore the singing that could be faintly heard, he strayed from the path they'd been walking and headed to the left. He wanted to check it out, it sounded neat!

Actually, the closer they got to the source the more beautiful the singing became. He stopped just over a slight incline in the land, glancing back to see if Imre had followed, a large grin painted on his features as he nodded his head in the direction of the voice's source. It was a lioness!

“ATILLA” Imre screeched at the big sloppy lick on his cheek. He paused in his walking, taking his paw and wiping his face. He held a not so happy expression, but he couldn’t be mad at his companion for that long. He’d just take it with a grain of salt, and move on. Although, it did mean Atilla would definitely not be getting his cuddle time later. Imre would make sure of it.

His ears perked forward at the sound of the singing. Eyes following his ears, he didn’t see the source of the voice. Imre nodded, agreeing that it was indeed singing. Instead of telling him to move on, Atilla had already begun walking towards the voice. Well, they could take a little break for now…but they’d have to make up for it later.

Following Atilla rather reluctantly, he couldn’t help but smile as his eyes landed on the singing lioness. “Should we say hello?” Hah, we? Imre totally meant Atilla right there.

Finally; the feeling she was waiting for. The exquisite gaze of another's eyes on her, watching her, secretly pining for her even if they didn't know it yet. She would be there everything, show them her everything and enjoy their company so long as it was fair and enjoyable to her. Slowing her body down, Volta allowed her dancing to become that much more alluring to those who were watching, attempting to make it known that she knew someone was there. Smiling and flashing a bit of teeth with it, her eyes fluttered open, her singing slowing, but not stopping.

Grey eyes glittered as she caught a glimpse at the two lions watching her. She didn't just attract one lost fellow to her, but two. This would certainly be interesting. It had been a long while since she has the pleasure of enjoy two golden boys. Hell, the last time she had been around two lions at the same time by herself was back when she lived in the pride.

Moving herself forward, Votla kept her hips swaying, head high, and chest puffed out. She was beautiful, and she damned well knew that. It was only a matter of making sure those two knew it. Stopping only a few inches away from the boys, she sang the ending to the her melody to them both, eyes close face nearly touching Imre's nose with her own. Fluttering grey eyes opened again as a sultry smile was flashed at the both of them. No time to waste, these two were too cute for something like that.

"So boys, enjoying your heated stroll through the Savannah?"

Atilla snickered at the other's shout and just gave him a wide, innocent grin. "Wha'?" He asked dumbly, then smirked. He enjoyed Imre's reactions to actions like that, they were always worth it. As long as he didn't get the other male too angry, since he was prone to hold grudges!

He nodded once at his friend's question, tail flicking. His eyes were glued on the lioness, for now. Her dance was becoming more intense, how could one not watch it? He was sure if he looked over to Imre that the darker coated male would also be staring. As she game closer a slow and unashamed smile crept it's way onto Atilla's maw, his eyes following her every movement. And then he realized how close she was standing next to Imre. Atilla's skin prickled a little at that, and the way he shot a glare her way. He smoothed his expression though, what did she have on him anyways? Sure she danced sexy as anything, but Atilla was charming and funny and- what was he doing? Was he seriously competing with her right now? Imre would have smacked him upside the head.

Still, even if he hadn't been bothered by her close proximity to his dear, dear friend, he would have been bothered by her choice. Come to think of it, Imre was often 'picked first' to speak to. It wasn't exactly a surprise, Imre's bright blonde mane and his deliciously dark coat that floated somewhere between an inky blue and black... not to mention his strikingly handsome, icy gaze... the contrast was just too tempting for others. These were thing Atilla had only realized recently though, when he'd bumped into his friend again.

"Well, we do be 'avin' a much grander time now." Atilla purred out, leaning forward just a bit in an almost childish manner that demanded attention from the female. "Bu' the sun do be tryin' teh give us a beatin'. Yeh mus' really enjoy the warm weather if yeh can dance aboot in it like tha', yeh are a really lovely dancer." Not one word a lie! "I be Atilla and this be Imre. 'Oo'r you?"

“Don’t ‘wha’’ me.” He scolded. He wouldn’t stay mad at Atilla forever, but for now he’d let the male know just how ‘angry’ he was. The cold shoulder would do just fine.

At least, it would have if it weren’t for the female nearby. The dark pelted lion seemed a bit mesmerized by the dancing movements of the lioness, that he didn’t notice just how close she had gotten to his face. Hearing her voice seemed to snap him out of his daze, as he stumbled backwards from the female, shying away to obtain his personal space once more. He took a glance at Atilla, who didn’t seem to be terribly happy about the close proximity the female had gotten. He edged closer to the male unconsciously.

The darker male let Atilla do all the talking, even for the introduction of himself. Imre didn’t mind not speaking to strangers, he was more comfortable speaking with those he knew better. He nodded in agreement with what Atilla had said, about how she was a lovely dancer. He still remained silent.

But, after Atilla had mentioned his name, the dark pelted lion bowed his head, “pleased to meet you,” in his quiet voice.

So the darker one was shy was he? That was ever so amusing to her, and this creamy brown boy seemed almost jealous that she had gotten so close to his companion. Were they...? Smirking at her own thought she perked up at the mention of both names.

Atilla and Imre. Two cute boys that could possibly give her a amazing amount of entertainment. Perhaps she could... No, she couldn't be counting her Chiclets before they hatched. They had to pass a few of her tests first, and she had to enjoy their company. "I am Votla, by the way. Votla the wind speaker.

Moving closer to the one now known as Atilla, Votla rubbed up against his hip subtly, kicking out her own as she danced away, twirling around to face both lions again. She thoroughly enjoyed compliments about her dancing. Even if she already knew she was amazing at it, having someone tell her she was amazing... That was invigorating. "Your compliment thrills me, Atilla." And she was honest, it really did thrill her to be complimented and enjoyed by another. That was her drug after all. Attention and affection.

"And you are right and wrong. I enjoy all weather and can dance to any of it. The pride I was raised in would teach us to dance, sing and drum. We are performers who want to show others the beat of the earth."

Moving passed Atilla to speak with Imre, her eyes glittered with a mischievous nature in Atilla's direction. Would he get riled up when she gave his other half some attention? She certainly did hope so, it would be much more fun that way. Smiling as she came to face, Imre, the lioness watched him for several moments.

"You sure are cute..." Eyeing Atillia again she winked at him. "Don't worry, you are too hot stuff. That personality of yours. Woo, damn. It almost seems like you foil off each other. Handsome quiet guy and his outgoing, cute partner. A perfect fit." Twitching her tail, she backed up to watch both of them again, sighing while rolling her eyes. "Just adorable, really... It makes me wish I could enjoy the company of another like that. Instead I just waaaander, bored out of my mind, singing and dancing to occupy my time."

Turning away from the both of them with slight hurt on her face, she mourned her decision to leave the pride lands she grew up in. There was no turning back now though...

It wasn't that he was an attention hog... alright, he was definitely an attention hog. But the fact was, he knew one day Imre might meet some female he'd definitely like more than him, and that just wouldn't do. It calmed him considerably when his male companion moved just a bit closer, and a rather smug look fell over his features. Hah! He was winning! "Votla, eh?" He just wanted to test out her name, it was nice and flowed well. He wondered what a wind speaker was though... he glanced to Imre to see if the other was phased by this title or not. "Wassa' winspeaker?" He asked slowly, not able to tell Imre's thoughts. He looked back to the female, the easy smile coming back to his maw.

It should thrill her! He didn't just give out compliments to any lion... that wasn't very true either. He was honest with his words, but he was also very generous with compliments.

So she was from a pride of dancers? That was something he would have to check out one day! It sounded fun! Especially if her pride was full of lionesses as pretty as she, and he assumed automatically that it was. His pride contained all fairly similar looking lions, after all. "Tha's somethin' I'd like teh see." He grinned, tail flicking.

The smile stayed on his maw only until she shifted past him to speak with Imre. His ears perked at her words, nodding unconsciously in agreement. Imre was a big hit with the females, Atilla knew. He wasn't sure if Imre knew himself yet, though. Still, his eyes narrowed just slightly when she winked at him. But then she complimented him in turn, and he was very much a sucker for those who recognized his handsome pelt, easy going nature and over all just a winning personality! He grinned, chest puffing out slightly. "Hear that?" Atilla repeated back, shooting a mischievous glance to his partner as he leaned close. "A perfect fit!" He murmured quietly, playfully.

As he did so, Votla continued speaking and was beginning to say something very interesting. He looked slowly toward her. "Oh... but are you no' enjoyin' the company of such righ' now?" He smirked a little. "Sides, sounds like yeh be livin' quite a nice life teh me." Wait, wait, wait! What was that hurt he'd just glimpsed on his face? He gave a questioning look to Imre before moving forward a bit. Maybe she missed her home?

"Maybe yeh jus' 'aven't found the proper thing teh occupy yer time then?" Oh! Maybe the pride she'd been speaking about... maybe she wasn't a part of it anymore?

The charcoal lion decided to speak the other’s name in his head as she spoke it. He would say it over and over again, making sure not to forget it for when the next time he chose to speak was. It wasn’t very nice to forget a name just moments after hearing it. Imre made sure he would never make that kind of mistake, especially to a lovely female like Votla.

His bright bluish green gaze turned towards Atilla with an unreadable expression. He had never heard the term windspeaker before, so he only assumed with was something the lioness was making up, or something that would be a traditional role in some sort of pride. Different prides had different names for ranks, right? That could be what it was.

Her next words made the case that she was from a pride. Maybe his logic was right.

Imre didn’t know how to take the compliment. While it was something Atilla would say to him on occasion, there was a difference between then lioness and his bro-mate. He couldn’t help but chuckle when Atilla spoke up next. Sometimes he needed to hear his words before Imre found his own voice again. “We are a good pair then.” He grinned.

His eyes narrowed when she spoke about wandering. From her words, Imre guessed she was a part of a pride once before, but has since gone. Just like Imre and Atilla had their own pride. He glanced at Atilla for a moment, before offering quietly.

“You know…if you want company, Atilla and I are traveling around a bit. We definitely wouldn’t mind if you decided to tag a long for a bit. So you wouldn’t be so bored out of your mind?” He knew Atilla would agree with him, so he wouldn’t glance over to make sure his suggestion was alright.

Grey eyes glittered as her experiment with them went according to plan. They had indeed some sort of affect for each other, how great or strong it was she wasn't too sure of, but it still caused her to become curious. Smiling, she turned her head to Atilla.

His puffed up, super inflated self made her laugh lightly out loud. Like a chime it danced around the air, her face all but glowing as she continued. She really could enjoy their company. Looking up at sky, a few tears fell from her eyes down to her cheek as she caught her breath.

"Oh my goodness, you two are hilarious. Especially you!" Pointing a paw towards Atilla she grinned, "You have one hell of a personality to you."

Wandering up closer to the brown lion, her eyes lazily stared into his own. Leaning forward, she decided to whisper into his ear, "If you ask me nicely I might demonstrate my ability to windspeak. Then again.... you already had a sample." Purposefully blowing my hot air than necessary into Atilla's ear, the flirty lioness pulled away.

Perking her ears at the other party member, Votla's smirk faded some. She'd really like to follow them.... but could she right now? Perhaps? ........

"Sure. Though I might disappear on you boys one fine morning... or night. As long as you promise not to get mad, I will be happy with the results."

He blinked, finding himself laughing with the lioness. Though he wasn't actually sure what in particular she was laughing about. He had probably just said something ridiculous or overly stupid or something like that. He didn't care though, he liked when others laughed around him. Even if it was because they thought him a bit foolish it would be fine if he didn't catch on to the jokes or something.

Then she confirmed it by saying he was hilarious, which he gladly accepted as true. He beamed at her, nodding in agreement. "Oi, isn' she a peach?" He glanced to Imre, chuckling again. The laughter died away as she came very close to him, though his excitement didn't diminish. Most of what came out of her maw was lost on the coffee colored lion; it'd been much too long since a lioness got this flirty with him. He swallowed, leaning back a little with a sly smile on his maw. "Well, tha' will surely be a fun time." He purred out.

He, like Imre had thought, agreed when his brother-mate invited the female to tag along with them. "Takes a lot teh get us mad, so no problem there, eh?" Well, this would be some fine company for a while.
PostPosted: Tue Dec 04, 2012 7:44 am

Imre nodded with Atilla. The two lions were probably some of the most easy going felines one could meet. Even if she decided to leave, the two would likely just head out traveling again. If the lioness wanted to find them, the two would not be that difficult to find.

“We should get going then, no?” Imre nudged Atilla on his shoulder, before flicking a gaze back towards Votla. “I think we have rested for more than five minutes, eh, Atilla?” A goofy grin plagued Imre’s maw before he padded forward.

"Well, looks like today was a good day after all." Grinning at the two boys she moved towards them. It was decided, Votla would be following the two boys, if only for a little bit. She couldn't help but feel excited about this new turn of events.

Following suit, she pressed forward with the two boys, nudging Atilla to move faster on occasion and picking on Imre when the chance presented itself to her. Paradise, at least for a little while was with those two.
