Hmph. That's really the only thing that came to Alani's mind as she laid, legs stretched out on either side of her. She wasn't unhappy - it was just a severe case of boredom. Now that the Petite Dauphin had returned to his seat, there really wasn't anything exciting going on. For some reason, there weren't too many females her age, outside her family, and so Alani rarely found herself with friends. She had heard some of the older females of the pride gossiping about how the overall numbers had really begun to dwindle in recent times, as the current Roi had been very strict about outsiders. It seemed, though, that since his grandchildren were born, he had become much more open to the outside world. At least, that's what she heard. Alani didn't really know all that much about the past of the pride; she was actually quite proud to be fresh blood in the pride. Sure, she was looked down on by the snobby nobles, but the vast majority of the pride enjoyed her presence. Or, so she strongly believed.
Letting out a yawn, she blinked a few times, her orange eyes glistening from a recent nap. Sometimes, she thought about her orange eyes and foreign markings, but then again, it really didn't matter to her. For all she cared, her mother was both of her biological parents. Though, sometimes she would wonder whether her mother would find someone her, in their home. But then her thoughts would just start to drift towards the thought of Alani herself finding a beau, and things like that would only ever make her blush. Giving her head a shake, she sat up a bit, looking around to see if there was anyone around to amuse her.

Lanikai had always felt at ease in her own presence, content to be alone if need be, which was why taking a stroll around the pridal lands alone wasn’t that worrying to her. She still loved company though, but quiet was nice at times. Not right now though, she thought, frowning a little as she walked. It had been quiet for a while now, now that the Petite Dauphin was back, everyone seemed content but she had half expected a huge celebration, loud cheering, a month long festival. Perhaps that was all coming soon, she thought, expectantly.
Spying her sister at a distance, Lani smiled warmly and called out her name cheerfully. “Alani!” They had grown up in the colony, and there hadn’t been that many other cubs around, so Lani always felt closest to her siblings, whether they shared that closeness with her or not. She moved quickly to her sister’s side, but paused. “Napping again?” She teased, lightly. “Dreaming of your Prince Charming?” Lani knew that she herself dreamt of princes and being swept of her paws by someone charming. Surely Alani did too.

Swiveling her ears to the side as they picked up another's voice, Alani looked over to see one of her sisters. "Oh, hey there." Giving her sister a warm smile, Alani swished her tail around on the ground behind her. "And only for a little while. It was just so dull, I couldn't help it." She turned her head, letting out a yawn. Glancing back at her sister, she couldn't help but blush. "Oh, shush." Pawing at her lightly, she couldn't really help but be a bit embarrassed. Alani had never really thought of herself as being very feminine or attractive, but she still tried to hold herself in a way the pride would respect. Sometimes, she really felt like a little cub about it all, completely new and naive when it came to love and romance.
"Just don't be jealous when I find my prince charming first." Winking playfully at Lanikai, she rose from her spot on the ground, shaking out her coat as she did. "And what were you off doing? Something better than napping, I presume?" Giggling a bit, she was quite happy that her sister came to meet her.

Lanikai giggled at her sister's embarrassment, not moving away as she was pawed, unconcerned by her sister's retaliation. "Oh, I don't know, I bet I could sway a few suitors favours my way some day," she teased, giggling, before frowning lightly. "I mean, if there were worthy suitors hanging around." She pouted lightly. She felt a bit girly wanting there to be suitors swooning after her, but really, there were boys around but none of them really caught her eye.
"I was just off for a walk," she told Alani, "which I suppose is more exciting than a nap, but it depends on what you're dreaming about during that nap!" She smiled. "Perhaps we could do something together? Two birds with one stone, and entertain us both!" It seemed her sister was bored, since she was napping and didn't really look that tired.

"Of course you could!" Smiling lightly at her sister, Alani always felt that Lanikai was something very special. Maybe it was just the thoughts of a sister, but she really believed it. She also thought similarly of her brother - that they were both things that deserved to be sought after. As far as suitors went, though, it seemed like there were fairly slim pickings these days. Other than, well, the royalty, but even the youngest of them seemed a bit older than what Alani wanted. She had heard so many fawning over the newly returned Petite Dauphin, but he was just...well, he looked too harsh for Alani's liking. Not that he was portrayed all that well in the rumors she heard floating around.
"Well, I'm not sure if that is too much better than my nap." Laughing a little, she had been feeling far too lazy previously to actually want to do anything. "If you have anything in mind, I'd be willing." Eyes perking up a bit, Alani's tail swayed back and forth behind her.
