Dah moved just past the boarders of his homelands with a slight frown on his face, unsure what to do with himself for the day. In fact, he wasn't really sure what to do with himself any day. He felt depressed and slightly angry, scorned and unwanted. His mother had another family, with a male that was not his father. Ki had... well she already had her second litter. He thought that might have hurt the most, because in the past he was sure they were meant to be. But now? Well now he understood that he could never be her one.

His tail flicked and he shook out his blue mane, sighing deeply as he picked up his pace. Today he would hunt outside of the pride's borders. Today he would socialize! He kept telling himself that each day, too. But he could never bring himself to work up enough willingness to speak to anyone from his pride. He thought maybe he was destined for the sort of life the lonely lives.

Kumo was venture out of the lands she usually called her home. She was out for an adventure today. She was looking for something to eat now. She looked over the lands slowly. She had no idea how close she was to the birth lands of her mother. She looked up to see the hot sun beating down onto the ground. She growled at it before quickly moving to a near by tree. She quickly took refuge under the shade sighing a little as she looked around as her stomach began to growl loudly.

She moved from the tree and began to seek out some food and possibly some water. She pushed away the thoughts of her adopted daughter and further more of her sister the woman that plagued her life everyday.

It didn't take him long to pick up the scent of a rabbit, though he ignored it and moved on. Rabbits were sometimes difficult to flush from their hiding places, and he'd much rather find something more easily spotted. It wasn't long before he got his wish! With a little more walking he spotted several zebra in the distance, and an easy smile tugged just one side of his mouth.

He moved lower to the ground and stalked it for a while, patient. If he wasn't patient he would make a mistake, and then he'd just continue to go hungry. When he deemed himself close enough he suddenly sprung, paws pounding against the earth. He roared as he leapt, dragging a younger zebra to the ground. Instantly he had his teeth on it's throat, and he bit down and waited until the Zebra lie still. Only then did he roll away and get to his feet, panting. He eyed his kill proudly and then started to tear into it, feeling accomplished. He'd gotten finished with his hunting so quickly... he was sure he would be able to socialize with someone today.

The female looked around at a few birds that scattered to the sky crying out from the loud roar. She tilted her head before looking around curiously had she missed something? Did she stumble onto someones land? Well it looked like she may have. She noticed the male ripping at its fresh kill. Her stomach growled loudly but she ignored it.

She thought about moving closer and attempt to steal the food but she wasn't that hungry. She could go off the other zebra but she was to lazy for that. Instead she moved to the small water hole and began to lap at the water. Once she had gotten enough she turned to scout out some food she looked to where the male was still looking quite proud of himself for the kill. She rolled her eyes a bit what a little kid she thought to herself as she began to track down a meal.

She continue to look for food but the male would get out of her head. The way he looked so proud of his food. She thought a moment before giving up and moving to see if there was anything left of the food she could have.

"Excuse me..." She called out not to far from him now she was hidden slightly behind a rock she didn't feel save approaching him out in the open. She'd be hurt to many times. The rock was safe easy to hide behind.

He gorged himself on the zebra, eating quickly but trying to keep in mind how much he was taking in. He did not want to get sick, but he also did not want to have to unwillingly share his kill with any of the dirty scavengers about. Dah thought there was nothing worse than those who picked off of the hard work of others.

So when he heard another's voice he stopped eating almost instantly and lifted his head, giving a menacing growl. He looked around slowly and then started to turn, stepping over his kill so it was protected from anyone who might think it a smart idea to run in and try and nab it. It took him a bit but finally he spotted the dark lioness. "What?" He growled out, not realizing that this was his chance to socialize. He only knew that he had his kill, and he didn't want anyone else to have it.

She blinked softly watching him one ear pinned back she wasn't sure if she wanted to laugh at him or scold him. She thought a moment before sighing and shaking her head.

"N-never mind." She said turning from him heading back to her home. What was she thinking coming out to the Pridelands thinking she could get a meal the drought was everywhere and everyone was getting greedy about their food why would she think he'd share.

She wasn't in the mood to steal either her mother and told it it was never good to be rude. Though Kumo never listed to that when her sister was involved. She looked back one last time to the male. He was so very odd.

He raised a brow and snorted. Well, that was weird. Ah, wait! What was he doing? He just had the opportunity to speak with another and he'd instantly showed her a very ugly side of him... but he still wasn't going to give her his kill. He did not cater to beggars' needs, period.

"Er, wait a minute!" He snapped, stalking forward a bit. "Don't just go interrupting another's meal and then just walk away! What the hell did you want, coward?" Well, this wasn't going as smoothly as he planned. Still, he couldn't help who he was and... well Ki had turned him into a very sour, ill-tempered lion. Not that he'd ever been very easy to get along with before, when he was younger. He cleared his throat and moved a few feet from the kill, glaring at a few vultures he spied circling the skies. "Or are you just too intimidated by my devilishly handsome body?" He barked out, forgetting that his sense of humor was not really similar to anyones at all.

She stopped her ears twitched. Oh that did not set well. She turned to him glaring. She then stormed over to him. Her laziness had gone away and now the firekin blood was course hard through her veins. "I'm sorry what was that?" She asked him her teeth grinding each other a bit form how hard she was holding herself from snapping at him.

"I was going to ask to share if you haven't noticed/ there is a drought there isn't much food about." She said before growling before moving closer to him. "But I see that you are just a rude poor excuse of a hunter!" She said no doubt pressing his buttons. "A true hunter would gladly share his kill with those that need it!" She yelled at him again before turning. "Next time be sure to ask someone if they need help instead of calling them a coward!" She yelled at him as she stalked away. As she did this he could see that she was very thin almost to thin from being on her own for so long during the great drought.

When she suddenly came towards him he drew himself up to full size, his muscles tense. His face was rather expressionless, but he wasn't one to hesitate attacking a female, if she tried to start a fight anyhow. He could appreciate a fierce temper though, it was something Ki had possessed at one point in her life as well. "Do you really want me to repeat it?" He asked challengingly, only because he wouldn't hesitate for a second to do so.

But what she said next just completely offended him, and he snarled. "Back. The. Hell. Up!" Each word clipped from his mouth threateningly, his tail lashing behind him. "I don't share my food with beggars. Maybe you haven't fully come to understand what that drought means; hunting is scarce, my hard earned kill goes to myself and mine." Luckily this one wasn't going partially to his pride. And what she said next just caused him to start laughing, it was not a joyful laugh. It was laughter that meant to offend. "Says the lioness incapable of killing her own meal, so shamelessly trying to ask others for theirs!" He barked, shaking his head. "A true beggar is the only one who believes a hunter is willing to share what they earned themselves. Get off your lazy arse and find your own damn zebra!" Here he gestured with a paw toward the heard that had settled in the distance. "They're right over there, peach."

He snorted at his words, not at all compassionate to the female's struggles, easily visible from her thin frame. "Learn to help yourself before so heavily relying on others!" He shouted after her, and then began to stalk after her, if only because his home was in the same direction. He was no longer hungry, he'd lost his appetite.

She had flinched when he got into her face. No it only made her even more fueled to walk off from him. He was such and a**. her body was tense and its not that she couldn't hunt for herself she just didn't want to. She stopped took several deep breaths. last time she had been this upset was with her sister. She tried to clear her head and not go into a rage. However this male would not shut up and now he was being low and turning her out to be this worthless lioness.

"What is you man malfunction? Mother drop you off cliff? Got lady troubles or are you the type that is acting all macho making of for the lack you have when in then den." She spat out ranting a bit turning into the nasty side of herself.

"Now stop following me go away and make sure that I never see you again or I shall swiftly put you in your place! Never have I been so appalled by a male for how he treats others!" she screamed at him now her body shaking. Why was he making her so upset? She let out pissed out huff like scream before turning and running off away from him. She wasn't running from the fight no she was running so she would lash out at him anymore.
