 Vs. [Contest Guidebook: Battling Round]
We will randomly generate your opponents for the second round and make battle threads for the two of you. Starting on December 26th, we will make the battle thread for you and link you to them via quoting.
You will make an introductory post and roll a 100-sided dice during your introductory post. This post is basically you walking onto the stage once more with your pokemon in a pokeball or next to you.
Then your opponent will do likewise, also rolling a 100-sided dice. Person with the highest roll goes first.
HP/Attack bonuses count if your pokemon has them. Pokemon that cannot evolve any further have 1000 HP. Pokemon that can evolve one more time have 900 HP. Pokemon that can evolve two more times have 800 HP.
Now for every attack post, you roll one 6-sided dice which will let your opponent know how to react to your post. 1 = your attack misses, 2-5 = your attack hits for 100 damage, 6 = your attack hits for 200 damage. Even stuff that normally does not do damage - such as growl - will do a kind of unseen damage in that it will hurt your opponent's dignity or whatnot.
Super effective/resistance/immunity/whatever do not count. Although please don't say you punch a ghost pokemon in the face. That's just not elegant - try to make all attacks seem reasonable and keep beauty/grace/cuteness/etc in mind. Also try to humiliate your opponent if possible - you are making your own pokemon look good and your opponent's pokemon look bad!
At the end of every post, please include your pokemon's HP.
After 5 posts from both sides (10 posts in total not including the intro posts), time will be called and the battle will end regardless of if a pokemon has fainted or not. You will be scored on both how much damage you have done, your general performance throughout the battle (so RP your best!), and your creativity throughout the battle.
Do not post any further after time is called. Judges will post shortly after to let you know who won.
If you do not make a post within 24 hours of your opponent's last post, you are automatically disqualified and your opponent wins the battle. We will then alert you of your next battle.

Shina's eyes sparkled as she ran a quick comb through Yuki's rainbow ruff. "You did great, Yuki! We made it to the second round!"
Yuki gave a brief, happy wiggle, before his body language changed to a saucy smirk. Shina could practically hear him: "Hey, I am awesome!"
With a shake of her head, Shina pulled out a mirror and checked her own appearance. Everything looked to be in place. "All right Yuki, this time, it's a battle. Remember though, the judges aren't looking at how hard or fast you hit, they're looking for grace and elegance. Make sure you show off when you attack."
Yuki nodded briskly and jumped down to take his place at Shina's side. With a quick thought, he used Wish, calling the sparkles to land in his fur, especially where the rainbow colors were, and along the paler markings in his silver coat. It created a subtle glittering glow to his fur, drawing the eye to his unusual and magnificent coloration and the delicate ivy markings. Then he strode forward, exuding confidence and grace. It was time to battle! Heads held high, the pair moved to take their positions.

She couldn't believe she'd made it to the next round. Had Brahma really managed to impress them enough? A happy noise left the trainer and she hugged the pokeball she kept the fish in.
"Oh you fabulous fish! You did amazing I'm proud of you!"
Dancing in her spot momentarily, she blinked then let out a nervous laugh before smoothing down her skirt. Okay, relax. That was just the first round, now it's time for the second. Which was a battle.
Shoooot. If there was anything Lisette hated more then having to put together a routine it was battles. It was okay, they could do this. And honestly, even if they lost she'd be happy just to have made it this far. Much farther then she first thought.
Brahma's ball clutched tightly to her chest, Lisette made her way back for the stage where her challenger was waiting for her. They'd do their best, it was all they could do.

((You go fiest Bunni!))
Yuki Swaggered out onto the stage, confident and poised. The Wish sparkles glowed in his fur, making sure no one could miss noticing his markings. Reaching his starting spot, Yuki struck a pose and waited.

(Small warning, I've never battled before! :'D I hope I do this right.)
Glancing out at her opponent, Lisette frowned a bit. An Eevee huh? Well this might be more difficult then she expected. Time to get the show on the road, if nothing else.
Tossing her pokeball out, Brahma once again popped out in a flurry of bubbles. At least this time he seemed to understand battle first, as instead of aiming for her he aimed for the stage though she could see him debating if he should try otherwise. Maybe it had been the glare she'd given him?
In any case there wasn't time to focus on that, there was a battle to contend with. Dark magenta eyes narrowed in determination. "Brahma, use surf!"
"Fee!" he replied, calling up water for the attack. It was their goal, or his in the least, to wash away those pretty lights to try and pull some of the attention off of him.
As the water began to rise, Brahma turned his back to the Eevee and used his large tail to give a graceful, though powerful, sweep into the water. A large wave was created from the movement and headed straight for their opponent.

Shina suppressed the urge to wince when her aquatic opponent used Surf. "Yuki, dodge!" Shina ordered. Yuki leapt nimbly to the side, and the wave crashed harmlessly by. "Now counter with Wish!"
A massive glow exploded from Yuki, mimicking the watery motion of his opponent's last attack. The glittering motes gathered, then as Yuki spun with a graceful sweep of his tail, formed a wave that bore down on the other pokemon. Shina smiled in satisfaction, watching the glittering, glowing echo of the Surf attack rebound on her opponent. [Move used this turn: Wish] [Moves used so far: Wish] [HP: 900/900]

A scowl formed on Lisette's face, and Brahma himself looked disappointed that they'd managed to dodge. Hm, okay, that tactic had clearly not worked in their favor at all. they were going to have to try something else. But before she could even think about the moves she had at her disposal, the Eevee returned fire.
Having no real way to dodge the attack, that she knew of, Lisette could only watch as the attack hit and- Did no damage? Huh, well that worked in their favor, she supposed. Note to self, try and find someone who knew a lot about attacks and ask.
"Brahma, use ice beam!" She didn't know how effective it would be against an Eevee, but it seemed like a nice follow up attack since they both seemed to be beauty based.
The Feebas let out a cry of it's name in a short sound, perhaps like a salute, then let out a beam of ice from it's opened jaw. Tail swishing slightly behind him, the ugly fish's body moved opposite of his tail and the ice beam wavered from the movement. It was an attempt to try and see if the beam couldn't cover more ground then it usually did, hoping for a hit.

"Yuki, Swagger!" Shina called swiftly. Yuki strutted his stuff, right out of the way of the oncoming beam, making the swift movement somehow look calm and collected. With an amazingly superior attitude, Yuki made his way over to his opponent and made a slow, mocking circuit of the fish. He finished his perusal with a disdainful sniff, and sauntered his way back to his own side of the field, every line of his body shouting "really? That is battling me? Well, he can try." He stopped back where he had started the battle, and struck a handsome pose, head held high and tail flagged, showing of his wonderful conformation and coloration. Lisette watched as, again, their attack failed and she tried hard not to cry out in frustration. At this rate they'd never win. Though the other side might not either... A frown crossed her features and she wondered just what it was they could do next that might put them ahead.
Her eyebrow twitched as the little Eevee sauntered his way over like he owned the place, Brahma not looking all that amused either. In fact he seemed more annoyed then she by the grumping call he gave. Fine then, he wanted to act like he was better then her poor ugly fish, she'd give him what for.
"Brahma, scald his pretty little fur!"
The look on the fish's face screamed "with pleasure" as a blast of hot water was shot for the pompous little Eevee. He didn't even bother trying to make a show of it, there was really only so many ways you could show off water attacks. He just hoped that he could land a hit for once.

Yuki jumped back from the soaking splash of hot water like...well, like a scalded cat. Eying the fish, he shook out his fur.
"Yuki, Swift!" Shina called. Yuki spun, the water droplets in his fur spinning out, creating a rainbow glow about him that was abruptly pierced by a flurry of stars! [Move used this turn: Swift] [Moves used so far: Swift, Swagger, Wish] [HP: 800/900]

Lisette gave a cry as Brahma was hit with the stars, the fishing sliding backwards against the stage a bit. She almost ran for him, but he struggled to get his fishy self back up and a bubble of pride hit her. Good. He was still battle ready.
She'd have to reward him good after this, no matter the outcome.
"Brahma, I think it's time we tried surfing again!." Flail wouldn't do any good from here, they'd have to get closer and she certainly hoped this would work in their favor.
The Feebas gave a grin, as only an ugly fish could, and once more called upon water to rise on the stage. Like the first time he used his tail to create the wave needed, it moving in another graceful swish, but this time he choose to ride the wave closer to his opponent. "Baaas~"

Yuki couldn't avoid the wave this time, and instead leapt into the water, trying to minimize the damage. It worked, some, and at least he didn't get knocked off his feet into an ungraceful sprawl. "Try Hidden Power!" Shina called.
Aware of his dripping fur, Yuki decided to use that to his advantage. He spun about, the trail of water streaming from his tail collecting into a ring that flashed from watery silver to solid gold as he completed the circuit. Then he shook thoroughly, the water spraying off him in rainbow arcs that collected into shimmering orbs strung on the golden ring.
A pause, and the golden ring exploded as Yuki surged into motion. On light paws, Yuki danced around Brahma, every so often aiming a kick, or a swipe of his tail, or nudge of his nose at one of the orbs that was spinning around him in an atom pattern. The affected orb would fly up, hovering above Brahma. When Yuki was done, all of the orbs made a threatening halo above the fish. Yuki's tail slapped down, and the orbs fell like meteors. He was glad there was still water around him, he could move much easier. Using his tail, he propelled himself around, trying to keep himself close to the Eevee even if it meant taking the hits from the attack.
"Brahma, flail!"
That was something he could easily do, especially once the water began to fade away. Which left him high and dry, flopping rather pathetically against the stage as he tried to keep himself close still to the Eevee. His eyes, a gorgeous blue, were wide and very hurt puppy like in the process.

Yuki was too busy goggling at the bizarre flopping of the fish to dodge, and took a face full of fin. Slapped out of his stunned state, he darted back.
"Yuki, finish it off with Wish!" Shina called. Yuki crouched down into a compact bundle and began to glow. All at once, he exploded outwards into an aggressive stance, snarling at the Feebas. The glow expanded further outwards, creating a glowing avatar standing over Yuki. Somehow, all the moisture dragging down Yuki's fur had been drawn out with the glowing motes of the Wish, and a light breeze ruffled his fur.
Yuki jerked his head upwards, nose to the sky, and the glowing avatar swirled higher, becoming a solid ball of energy. The orb floated over Brahma, and with a wicked glint in his eye, Yuki snapped his head down to look at the fish. From the ball of light, a stinging, glowing rain of light shot down at high speeds, pelting straight for the helpless Feebas.

Once again, physical damage dealt was tied, so the deal breaker is more in the grace of the movements. For the first half, Brahma was a bit more sloppy just trying to land a hit while Yuki shined more in the middle where she executed her moves and dodges with a bit more beauty. The swagger was nice...until you got hit by the water. Brahma most definitely got more into the game near the end. But I think I'm going to have to give this match to Yuki ovo
