It had been a considerable amount of time since Alexandre had been to the part of the woods in which he had met the filly Isolean. Ever since their meeting he always found himself wondering what had happened to her and if she would ever return. When he was just a young colt he had seen what she was and ran, regretting from that day forward that one act of selfishness. However, now that he was fully grown he had decided it was time to seek her out, and hopefully--maybe make amends for what he had done.

As he walked through the cold and dark forest he briefly wondered if she would remember him if he did find her. Would she accept his apology? Could they be friends like they had almost been when they were young? As these questions circled his head he felt his heart ache a bit in his chest. Alexandre would do whatever it took if he saw her again to prove that he had changed, and that he did not see her as a monster. Even on that day so long ago he had not thought of her as a monster, but he was still very uneasy about what she could be as her coat appeared to burn in the sun and her teeth were fangs.

Coming to a halt Alexandre flexed his wings, his tail wiggling around in the air to release any snow that had fallen onto it. Once his tail was clean of all snow he shook his body and mane, his mask almost falling off his nose. "Snow." He said silently to himself, now pulling his wings back in and tucking them tightly against his body. Maybe his search was in vain. Maybe she was gone. Maybe he would never get his chance to show how sorry he was.

The Night had brought her much in the way of hardship at the start a stallion she had attempted to suckle a little blood from when she had thought he had consented had been to delicate of flesh to bare her loving nibble of bite and had bit her in return, before bolting off. it was a shameful ugly bite she bore now, as His teeth were not sharp an he had meant to wound her in his rage right where her neck met her shoulder. Now her own Crimson blood oozed and stained her milk white fur most distastefully. It was not only a mess but it hurt so badly it caused her normally regal floating gate to hitch with an unsightly limp.
slowly and with much defeat she limped her way back to her cave to heal and hide from the fast approaching day only to find a pair of kolona had claimed it for their own. not wanting to see if they would move on without a fight she was forced to try and find another spot to rest her weary form. quietly she prayed the day would at least be over cast to give her but menial reprise from this streak of bad luck.
This was isoleans first winter ever to say she was unprepared would have been an understatement of the first degree. The fact that she was alone made it all the more harsh. for a start Her coat wasent meant for such temperatures for such long periods of time much less to be left stumbling about with no shelter in the wind. Nor did she realize the mere reflection of the sun off the snow would burn her so. her eyes most of all stung like hot coals.
Her breath heavy, at about mid day she felt very tired. The pain was too much her legs buckled beneath her. with neck out stretched she managed a defeated whinny as she felt that this was indeed the end. her eyes closed she laid and waited the sun growing higher in the sky and the shadows. at least she had the slow flow of her own blood to warm her slightly as it stained the pure white snow around her.

Just as Alexandre was about to head off to find a small pond to drink from he heard a rather silent and heart wrenching like whinny coming from behind him just beyond the trees. With fast and sturdy steps he made his way to where the sound had come from, worried that he may not make it there in time. As he made his way through the brush he made sure to listen to every sound that was made. He could not hear the footsteps of another anywhere near by which helped ease his sudden burst of adrenaline. The closer he got to where the sound had come from the more he could smell the horrible stench of blood--but there were other smells. It was undeniable that the owner of the whinny was indeed female but more then that her scent seemed very familiar.

When he finally made it through the last of the tree line he found himself standing before a shallow breathing soquili. With a few more steps he was standing beside the figure and gently touching her with his left wing to feel where her wound was and how bad it was. After what felt like short of forever he found a small bite wound between her neck and shoulder bleed rather profusely. Moving her might not be a good idea, but leaving here alone would expose her to further dangers. Maybe her attack will come back to finish her off. He thought to himself. It was clear to him that the wound would not kill her but he felt sure that it had surely gotten infected. With his right and left wing he gently scooped up a bit of snow that had not been reached by her blood and gently placed it on the wound in hopes that it would at least numb it. After he had put the snow on the wound he laid down behind the mare, his side touching her back lightly. "It will be alright miss." Alexandre said in a soothing voice. With that he propped up her head on his forelegs and used his wings as a shield to cover her from the suns light rays.

The gestures and movements she felt seemed distant as if she were viewing herself being touched rather than actually experienceing them. All she knew for sure was there was a growing warmth beside her that she couldent get close enough to and the god forsaken sun was blocked at last from continuing to scorch her at least for the most part.
At a point she tried to open her eyes to see what was the source of this sudden reprieve but all she could see through the burning sensation was more blinding white. To her it seemed there was no one there. Sleepily she moved head against what supported it. It felt like a chest . . .so  again she opened her weary eyes and again all she could see was  white . . .more snow no one was there.
Her father had told her lore of sprits and ghosts that would help the lost and in need a smile creased her lips.
"I've heard of being in the influence of the spirit of generosity but never beside . . .it." she murmured before falling asleep.

Alexandre tried his best to keep the blush that wanted to fill his cheeks at bay as the mare laid her head against his chest. She seemed like she was going to be fine now that she was out of the sun, although most of her body heat seemed to be taken from his. He hadn't been able to hear her eyes opening and closing, as his hearing was good but not that good. However, when she began to speak he smiled, a wave of relief filling his chest. Yes, she would be alright now. What she said did not alarm him so much as right afterwards she drifted off to sleep. It was clear to him that she was probably a bit dazed from her wound and whatever had happened to her, but nothing that was overly worrying.

Smiling once more he closed his own eyes. His breaths became lighter and deeper. And after several minutes he was in a sleep like state, although, still awake. He was in a trance almost, able to hear every sound but his body was able to refuel for what was to come. Alexandre had no idea what would happen when she woke up, but he hoped she would not be to alarmed to be in a state like this with him. Being around mares was hard enough as it was for him, but to be this close? Well, it was certainly a new and foreign thing to him.

Hours passed day eventually turned safely unto night. Sweet Dreams of being back home . . .with her father and grandmother safely in the teepee, Warm protected and loved . . . mostly unconditionally gave way as she woke unsure Of how she gotten here instead of there.  After a moment or two Slowly it all came back she had left that home . . .to spare her family any further trouble or shame. She now lived in a cave alone far away from anyone that might desire to hurt her or that she might accidentally hurt.
Questions however still remained as this was a snow bank not her cave and she was certainly not alone. Whatever this thing now draped over her was far to solid to be the spirit she had perviously imagined. Initially the thought occurred to jump to the defensive and bite who ever it was Just to be safe but the wound she had received would make quick movements impossible. Perhaps she could sneak off who or whatever it was slept.
Slowly she lifted her head her eyes still burning a little causing her to squint.

With a bit of a start Alexandre felt his heart speed up, his sleep had obviously deepened a bit and he was able to dream. Keeping his eyes closed still he felt the mare beside him stir from her sleep. Had she finally awoken from her sleep? Was she alright? Would she remember whatever it was that had happened to her? Still keeping his eyes closed, appearing to be asleep he thought of questions he could ask her. But how to ask them?

When he felt the mare begin to life her head his eyes opened slowly, pretending as if he just woke up, his wings stretching out, but not enough to let her escape. After all he wanted to make sure she was okay to leave. Then again, would he really keep her captive? Could he keep her captive? Probably not. And he probably wouldn't want to. She did have a wound from a fight. Who knew what her opponent looked like. Turning his head his blind eyes focused on where her's should be. "Miss, you are finally awake." He said with a warm and friendly smile, hoping to not scare her. At least no more so then necessary. That wound needed attending.

"I'm sure you must be wondering why it is we are in this state." He said, trying his best not to blush over the realization once more that he was this close and familiar with a mare. "While I was out exploring I heard you whinny--" his nose pointing to her wound -- "and ran to find you laying here in the snow. I put some snow on you're wound to at least help dull the pain and hopefully clean it a bit. Are you feeling better?" Alexandre asked, his eyes focusing on her's once more, sincerity laced his words.

At his first words her she pulled her lips back reveal a frightening silent snarling expression to scare him off.
It wasn't that she wasn't thankful or that she resented him for his assistance, as surely she would have frozen to death without it.  However she knew he would eventually come to resent her like all the others and rejection hurt more than any bite ever could. So To preserve what little good she still held within her breast she kept her meetings brief and friendships non existent.
However he didn't seem to notice her frightening visage . . .so she snarled a little more narrowing her eyes even into a deadly glare. Still nothing. He even kept speaking. On a hunch she made a silly face he indeed did not note it.
The conclusion she could draw was that he was blind.
Her ears laid back in irritation and surprise She had been saved by a blind stallion.
How utterly humiliating.
For a bit She studied him he seemed so. . . Caring so trusting so wonderfully warn.
She found herself smiling instead of snarling. She hadn't had occasion to smile in forever and it had been even longer since anyone had genuinely smiled at her. What was more his smile seemed familiar.
Perhaps she could enjoy his company for awhile. Just a little while. After all He couldn't very well tell anyone he was a guest of the vampire of the wood and lived to tell the tale because he wouldn't know who she was. To he who was blind she could be just a normal mare who was in need of help and who could use a friend.
"well enough to thank you most kindly." she replied and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. He was not a hideous stallion quite handsome in fact so that was gift she could not resist bestowing most happily.
"but I would venture to ask whom I thank?"

Alexandre blinked a couple times, gulping slightly as his cheeks turned pink. Had he really just been kissed on the cheek? Was he still dreaming? With her question he managed to snap himself out of his own thoughts. His cheeks still a bit pink. "You're very welcome miss." He said, smiling once more. "My name is Alexandre. May I ask the name of this dame?" He asked, his head moving slightly closer to her's, still smiling.

He hadn't realized that her smell was that of the filly he had met in a clearing as a colt. One he had run from. One he had rejected. Had he have realized it he would have probably cried as he embraced her. Trying to apologize for what he had done out of ignorance. It was surprising that he was still so very disappointed in himself over that one incident. And had he known what he caused her to turn into because of that, well. It would surely cause him great sorrow.

"Are you.... Alright now miss?" He asked, his eyes darting to her wound. Would she realize he could not see? Had she already realized this? No. That couldn't be the case. His family had not even known. But then again... Maybe he wasn't able to hide it very well in his worry. "Has the wound... Does it still cause you pain?" He asked, gently nosing near the area so as not to hurt her, but to smell if the flesh was rotting.

Just as she began to consider his colt like blush adorable his name fell from his lips like daggers into her still beating heart her breath even caught in her chest as if she were being slowly crushed. Pulling away from him she found her feet . . .and that pain from the bite still not fully healed once more. she inhaled shapely at the pain but maintained a study stance.
She didn't quite know what to feel about being . . .re united with this most unpleasant experience from a past she thought she had gotten rid of. Surely if he could see he would known who she was and would have never stopped to help. Flashes of the look of fear he had given her back then haunted her still along with that look of pity as he parted. pity god how she hated it . . .yet here and now he was giving it again what was worse is he was blind! Oh if her teacher Belle Morte could see her now that wicked old b***h of a mare would laugh till she died of a stroke for certain.
Through all these thoughts she barely registered that he was still speaking.
"I-Im fine. Im fine please just go." she replied backing away from him.

Alexandre was taken by surprise by the mares sudden movement and found himself rising shortly after her, his wings outstretched to catch her just in case she was not strong enough yet to walk. "What's wrong miss?" He asked stepping closer. Why was she backing away from him? Was something wrong? Had he said something to offend her? Or scare her? "Did I do something wrong miss?" He asked, a frown appearing over his muzzle. "I'm very sorry." He said, his features showing his regret for whatever it was he might have done to cause her to be afraid of him. "I won't harm you I promise."

There it was that look that look she hated oh how she hated it so. She could barely maintain not letting loose a very unlady like growl from the back of her throat. Tears however came freely.
"Are you as ignorant and def as you are blind?" she shouted " I said Leave! Just go away!"  despite her self couldn't help but hiss a little, so she sounded just like she had when she was just a foal.
Oh what a fool she was for not recognizing him right away. She knew this was no way to treat someone who had been so kind but at the same time

His frown only grew further across his muzzle as he heard her begin to cry. What had he done that was so terrible? His heart ached for causing her such distress. "I'm sorry for whatever it was I did. Please do not cry." Alexandre said stepping forward with one hoof. Her words felt like a knife had slashed his heart. He was blind, but he wasn't incapable of doing things others that had sight could do. After all he had taken care of her with ease. And then it hit him, his face draining of color, if that was even possible. His eyes widened and his mouth grew into a flat line, his legs frozen. That hiss. It had reminded him of the filly he had met as a colt. The one he had ran away from for no reason. At the memory and the possibility of this mare being that same filly his eyes filled with tears. "A---A---Are you Isolean?" Alexandre asked, his voice coming out broken.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2012 5:07 am

"s-Stop looking at me like that!" she snapped.
when he spoke her name she stepped back teeth bared in anger her eyes scrunched closed as she tried to control her tears but it didn't work.
"If that were my name? what would you do what would say? what would you do? Would you Pitty and fear me as you did then? I need nor want neither of those things. The filly you knew is gone. A Mare stands before you now who no longer desires acceptance or friendship but rather a monstrous mare who take your blood instead." she spat angrily years of bitterness came falling into one rage filled place after another. "So for all it should matter to you my name is Vampire." with that she lunged forward and sank her fangs into his neck. Hot blood flowed across her lips and down her throat as her tears soaked her cheeks.
She had never bitten anyone in anger before and she certainly found no enjoyment in it now. A ear of his dripped down onto her face it was then she noted he hadn't budged. So she bit him again but he gave not so much as a flinch. by now she was sobbing so more blood was on his snow white coat than she was drinking the other wound bled freely .

*its minor damage as her fangs are very sharp and neat when they pierce through flesh. you can say it will scar if you like but it doesn't have to like a scrape or a cut*

(( sorry for the mod there i can change it if you like.
in other news at the end of this month i will no longer co own recovery darkmoon is taking him back.))

Alexandre held back his own tears as he let her speak, and then finally cry. As she sunk her fangs into his neck his eyes tightened but the rest of his body remained as it did. Her bite certainly hurt, but as she drank from the wound she created he felt it go numb. He opened his eyes back up but continued to remain silent and motionless. There were so many thoughts passing through his head, so many emotions to process. Not just his but her's. He had never thought what he had done as a foolish colt would affect her or anyone else so profoundly. Then again, their meeting was instrumental in his own life. It was then that he came back to reality and noted that she had bit him again, this time though she was sobbing uncontrollably and wasn't drinking as much of his blood.

"Isolean." He said gently, dipping his head to her's where he nuzzled her cheek as she fed from his neck, not caring about the slight bit of pain it caused. "I've waited a very long time to see you again and to apologize for the foolish thing I had done as a colt. Even at the time I wanted to stay. But I was confused and didn't really understand what I should do or say. So I ran." He said softly, his voice cracking a bit. "I'm so sorry I've made you become this. There has not been a day that has gone by that I haven't thought of you and our meeting that day when we were just foals." He paused. "I often go back to that spot and try to look for you, and I have also searched the area around it." Alexandre said, nuzzling her again as tears spilled over his cheeks and onto her, though his body remained as it had, motionless.
