Brick was helping the shop owner of ‘Ol’ Way Gifts’ take down Christmas decorations. He liked all the old fashion clothing, items, and most of all the shop small section of seaweed goodies. He loved listening to Lulu’s tribal stories and history. She was telling him how her tribe developed the power to summon beast energy. It’s not often the fish boy is listening and not talking. He ate up every word she said. Lulu was enjoying his interest in her stories. Lulu had to go upstairs to grab a box for tree desecrations. Brick grabbed the trash bin near him and started to sweep cotton stretched out to look like snow with his hand into the bin. He got some sparkles on his hand from the fake snow. He found another ledge covered in cotton and started to pretend his hand was a monster and he destroying villages.

“RARWSISHAWA” he softly shouted as he crashed his hand down and moved more decoration in the trash. “The great mountain monster strikes one more snow covered village” he said glaring at the next spot he would terrorize. As he wondered over to his next area to clean he spotted some toy soldiers and a dragon made from pine wood in the kid section. He smiled at them “I have come to wreck havoc on your land, not even your dragon stop me” he puffed his chest out. He picked up a few toys and started to full on play with them. He fully forgot about cleaning up the mess, though to give him credit he already done a great job. It wasn’t till the shops bell rung that he realized he needed to be cleaning. He quickly put the toys back where he had found them and started to sweep up cotton once more.

In came some newlyweds who wanted to thank the shop owner next door for making their wedding outfits. They couldn’t resist peeking into the shop full of all kind of goodies. The husband was checking out the toys Brick was just playing with and the wife was looking at the leaves for making teas. Brick smiled at the man “These toys are so much fun, if you have kids they will love the soldiers, they are super durable. I would know since my skin is made of partial rock” he smiled wide. The man chuckled “Aren’t you too young to be working a shop”. The rock fish laughed back “I don’t work here, I’m just helping clean up the holiday stuff around shop” he stated. The man nodded than decided to buy the set of war figures. They reminded him of the ones he use to have, he was thinking if he had kids he could gift the toys to them, but mostly he just wanted them. The wife also bought a good amount of tea. Brick went to find Lulu and she rang them up.

The shop owner was pleased with Brick and gave him some seaweed salt taffy in rearward for cleaning and making some sales. Brick thanked Lulu skipped out of the shop. He was heading over to ‘Telma’s Milk Bar’ when he bumped into an older female. “Excuse me Mam , I am soo sorry , My mind was off track I was just helping a man save some soldiers from a evil snow monsters and didn’t see you, I hope you’re not hurt” he pretended to be serious.

The teenage Ivysaur girl known as Tulip had been wandering around the area... city... town... she didn't know the difference. It was far different from anything she was used to, having lived in a forest her entire life. These structures, she'd come to learn were called buildings, confused her. They were so blocky, not at all fluid like a tree or hedge. But they all looked more or less the same to her, since she wasn't familiar with them. They were almost always four-sided with at least one entrance, called a door. She was very proud of herself when she had found out how to work one of those! She was far away from home now, though; and she felt like she had been walking around in circles for hours. Despite the fact that she had a map and directions, she was lost. She needed to face facts, she had no clue if she was even in the right place. She also wanted to know what all these clothing signs were about, some place called Andy and Andies LLC? That definitely intrigued her.

A sigh escaped the young lady's lips as she looked once more at the map that had been hastily scribbled on the piece of paper. She raised her emerald-haired head, looking at each building in turn, and glancing at her paper again. She wasn't entirely sure where to go from here. She thought about asking someone, a passerby, but really didn't want to speak to any humans. Even though she'd befriended quite a few since her change, she hadn't gotten over her unease around them. Still, she needed to ask someone.

She felt something small and heavy bump into her, almost knocking her over in her unprepared state. She let out a bit of a squeal as one of her vines grabbed hold of a lightpost nearby, keeping her from falling over. Once she pulled herself up (and made sure her clothes and hair and flower and etc. were okay), she looked at the thing that had bumped into her. She had a mixture of surprise and irritation on her face until she saw what had bumped her.

Her head tilted to the side as she looked at the young boy. She was certain he was a Pokemon, like her, she could just feel it. The irritation gave was to happiness. What were the odds? She'd only met a few other Pokemon that had been changed like her. Certainly, she could ask him for help! Tulip had opened her mouth to speak when the boy blurted out something about saving a village from a monster and then apologizing for bumping into her. She didn't know how to respond to the first bit, as it caught her a bit off guard; other than chuckle slightly. "I'm okay, just a little lost," she smiled sweetly as she spoke. "I'm looking for a place called Telma's Milk Bar? A friend suggested it... but I'm also a little curious what this Andy & Andies LLC is, that I've seen signs for. Do you think you could help me, please?"

The rock fish smiled "You’re on the grove of the 'Night Family Farm' and I would love to be your tour guide my fair lady" he bowed in a dramatic way. He pointed to a building across the street "Well thats Telma's milk bar, It’s the best place to get your dairy fixes and makes a mean cup of coffee, or so I'm told , I can't have coffee sooo I'm told" he kidded. He then spun around and pointed to the building he just came from "On the left of me we have 'Ol Way Gifts extra' owned by the lovely Lulu Oxendine, Up stairs we have 'Night Legal Help" and below us to the right we have Andy and Andy’s the place, I assume your eyeing a custom dress. Every beautiful girl should have a dress made by at least one of them, so I feel you must head over there" he winked.

"Well no matter where you want to go, I will be willing to take you, I am an excellent body guard, I have watched over many maidens like yourself" he said so confident. He has been rather handy around the farm and has actually has helped a good amount of people. Ho the Ho-Oh girl has appreciated his company the most. Though calling himself a body guard was a stretch. He looked up at the sky and felt a beam of sunlight hit his head "Did the wonderful weather bring you out to explore the Farm’s shops?" he asked. "I feel lucky being able to live here, it’s the best place to let your imagination run wild, I can be anything out in the meadow" he pointed to the direction of the wide open place. "There is a nice stream here to it reminds of the water back home" he gushed. "Where do you live?" he asked politely.

Tulip couldn't help but giggle at the cute little kid. He was so eager to help that she found herself smiling, despite her nerves. In fact, she'd almost forgotten that she was currently surrounded by one of her biggest fears, humans. Well, it used to be one of her biggest fears, but ever since she'd changed, she was growing more and more accustomed to the bipeds. She made sure to pay attention, though, as Brick pointed out each location and explained what it was. She was thankful, she hadn't really gotten the hang navigating in a place that wasn't her forest home.

"Well, like, I was told about Telma's and after my rather long walk, I do feel a bit parched." She commented. "But I really do want to check out Andy and Andy's, that place sounds fantastic!" If it weren't for the nagging dryness of her mouth, she would've gone straight to the dress makers' without a moment's hesitation. To say she was excited to find a place where she could get clothes that were tailored to her unusual body type would be an understatement. She did wonder what coffee was, though.

"Oh, um, I guess..." she started, a little puzzled at the boy's description of being a guard. He looked a little young, but then, Pokemon were sometimes used as guards by humans. Was that what he meant? "I mean, no, yes... er..." She shook her head, trying to get her sentences straight. "I'd love for you to escort me." She sighed, relieved to have finally gotten that thought out of her head. "Sorry, long trip... I think I need to get off my feet for a bit." She chuckled a little uneasily; she was happy when the boy asked her a question that could get her mind back on track. "Oh, yes! The weather is so lovely today! I just love the sun!" She smiled again, this time looking at the sky and closing her eyes. After a few moments of basking in its radiance, and listening to Brick, she opened her red eyes and looked at him to answer his latest question. "I live in a beautiful forest." she stated, as if there were no question about its beauty. "It's a ways away, though."

She remembered she was thirsty again and, extending an arm out for Brick, asked, "Will you be so kind as to take me over to Telma's, please? I do feel rather dry. Despite my love of the sun, I feel I need to get out of it for a brief moment."

As the two crossed the road over to Telma's milk bar Brick couldn’t help but ask "So how did you find the 'Night Family Farm', or did you happen to just get here?" he was rather curious. The bus does come by grove."I am from a forest too" he looked up at her. "Believe it or not but I am much older than I look" he smiled and puffed out his chest. "I haven't always been humanoid, I was once just a normal fish but then I found a magical star that crashed down, and when I touched it I became a human child" he said as if he was reading a children's book. Yet this story was majorly fabricated. Yes he used a star to become human but he was given it by Ho his friend. He didn't think too much of what Tulip said since there is tons of Pokémon humanoid’s on Gaia. A good portion of the workers at Telma's are Pokémon beings and none from his woods.

Brick smiled “I have done plenty of great things in my time” he looked up at the sky once more “I don’t plan on stopping either” he looked back at her “Greatness appeals to me, so I will keep doing great things” he took a deep breath and looked rather accomplished. They were now through the parking lot and about to enter Telma’s. The half rock Pokémon looked at Tulip “I must say I have enjoyed walking with you, do you mind if I join you Miss. Tulip for something to drink maybe for a appetizer” he smiled. He so wasn’t trying to get a free meal. Ok maybe it might be part of his agenda. He bowed “So may I join you “he knelt on one knee. He might be dramatic but he knows how to make people smile.

"Well, I was told about it by a friend," Tulip repeated, answering Brick, "Well, about Telma's... they said this was the closest one to the forest I live in. So, I thought I'd come check it out." The talk of the milk bar just seemed to make her all the more thirsty as the crossed. She was thankful that Brick began talking about something else as the walked. Even though it wasn't a long distance, she was rather weary after her trip here.

"So you found a star too?" The normal lilt of curiosity was missing from her voice. "That's just like how I found mine." She seemed to be stating facts rather than retelling a story with any emotion or excitement tied to it. Her exhaustion seemed worse than she'd originally anticipated. Was it the the way she'd came? No, she just walked, like she normally did. And nothing weird happened on her way here, as far as she could tell. She went over her morning in her head, trying to figure out why she was feeling so drained all of a sudden. She got up, when to the crystal clear pond and bathed, got dressed in her current adorable outfit, ate breakfast, and headed out. Did she drink anything this morning? That she couldn't remember...

Tulip really only half caught Brick asking if he could join her for a drink or some food. Despite how she felt, she couldn't help but smile at his dramatic actions. "I'd be most happy for you to join me." She needed a guide after all, and she was enjoying her time with Brick.

The rock fishes’ eyes glanced over at Tulip “Oh my goodness I love friends, they can help change your life and shape who you are today” he said as he opened the door to the bar. “Or they can really drag you down the wrong gutter” he made a wrinkle face. “Well let’s not think about that, and let’s go sit over there” he pointed to the north, west section of the bar. This is his favorite part of the bar, he couldn’t see any pavement just the meadow that made up most of the night family farm. He turned to her “It’s the best part of the bar, for the best random friend I have made today” he smiled at the lovely lady.

“Could I get you an appetizer, or one of our famous milk beverages? Approved by Telma herself” a young Uxie cat woman smiled as she brought them purified river water. The water is so crisp, fresh and full of minerals that some people stop in just for the water. The bar’s special purifier gives the water that special something any water lover would enjoy. Brick looked up “Is Telma here?”. The waitress pouted “not today she is off at the Barton Bar but I can tell her you stopped in” she waited for their order. Brick turned to Tulip “We are gunna have to come back here so we well I mean you can meet Telma she is the greatest” he smiled. He then looked up at Uma “I am sorry I’m gunna need to study the menu” he smiled bright. Uma smiled “I wouldn’t expect anything less from you Brick” the cat smiled.

Brick never ordered the same drink twice. “I will get the extra coconut pineapple milk shake with a organic vanilla bean frozen yogurt” he looked at his new friend. “I think you might enjoy the purple sweet potato fries, my dear Tulip” he turned his head at her. “They deep fry them in a virgin olive oil , they are so delicious, I’m almost sure they are the best thing I have ever ate, at that means a lot coming from a almost hundred year old fish” he winked. Brick told many fabricated stories but his age was no lie. When he said friends change a life that was no lie either, when he met Ho and she gave him his star, she gave him a new opportunity to live. That is what he was doing now, he wanted to make sure he lived with Tulip and that she felt the power of a life changed. He tried to give as many people that as he could.

“Yep I was given a star, I don’t even know where to begin how grateful I am for that star” he smiled at her. A little tear formed in his eye but he quickly wiped it away. Uma looked at the two “You two must be good friends” she could feel the energy coming from them. Brick once more looked up at her “I hope soo, we just met a few minutes ago” he had a skip and beat in his voice. Uma shook her head “Brick is always full of surprises” she winked at Tulip. Brick couldn’t help but point to himself.

"It definitely is a beautiful view," the Ivysaur teen agreed when Brick had shown her to his seat of choice. She couldn't help but giggle when he continued on about her being the best random friend he'd made today. "Oh, I bet you say that to all the girls." She chuckled at her own ridiculous joke.

When Uma arrived, Tulip downed the water immediately. She looked utterly ashamed afterward, however and deemed it necessary to give an explanation, "Sorry, I've felt like I'd been dying of thirst! But, I must say, despite how quickly I drank it, that's the best water I've ever had. It was so crisp and refreshing! It definitely hit the spot! I SO needed that!"

She gave a very uneasy laugh as she took up the menu. "I have no idea what to order." She was glad that Brick had given her a suggestion. But as far as to drink? There seemed to be so much on the menu! "Um, Brick..." she began, "What do you suggest I get drink-wise? This is all a bit... overwhelming... I have no idea what to choose!" Tulip was used to doing everything herself, but when it came to strange food and drink, she thought it best to take the advice of the friendly fish. He hadn't steered her wrong yet and she was really growing fond of the kid... or... guy... He kept saying he was older than he looked, but Tulip was unsure if that was true. She'd heard tales of some old Water, Rock-type, a Relicanth, that'd been unchanged for centuries. She wondered how true those tales were and if Brick was this fabled fish. She was about to ask when Uma's comment and wink caught her off guard.

"Oh, I do hope we become good friends as well!" She heard herself say without thought. She meant it too, which seemed to be the odd thing. There were few people that she wanted to know more about immediately. Brick was definitely someone special.

Brick marveled at how fast Tulip was able to down her glass of water "Wow , you have nothing to be sorry about" he stated. "RIGHT" he smiled "It is the best water in the world, trust me I know my water" he stated. "I have a feeling it is the minerals in the water, it's special like nothing I have ever been around, just swimming in this water makes me feel more coherent, other when I wear myself out swimming, but even then if I end up taking a nap , it is the best naps" he shook his head in amazement at this realization.

This was turning out rather nice he looked up at Uma "I think my friend here would like the same drink as me the extra coconut pineapple milk shake with a organic vanilla bean frozen yogurt". He looked at Tulip "It sounded rather tasty so I have a good feeling you will like it" he stated. " I tend to think the flavors go really well together" he smiled. Uma giggled at Tulips cute comment "By the seams of it, I can't imagine you two not" she paused. Brick smiled Bright "This place is the best for conversation starters" he added. Uma looked around "well if thats it for you two , I am off to make your drinks and snack" she stated. Brick nodded "Thanks you Uma" he said.

As Uma went off to make their order Brick smiled "Man I can't even say what a wonderful day this is, it's been real nice" he nodded some more. He tapped his fingers on the table "So tell me a little bit about yourself Tulip, what do you like to do on your free time , other than roam the open world?" he said in a deep and thoughtful voice. This beautiful stranger was someone Brick also really wanted to get to know. Her genuine disposition made her pleasant to be around.

Tulip smiled happily as Brick ordered for her. "That sounds great." Now that she'd had the water to drink, she was able to think straight and enjoy the company. The food and drink that Brick had ordered definitely sounded interesting at the very least. A lot of what was in it, she'd never had before, but had at least heard of it. After working in a restaurant for the past month or so, she'd learned quite a bit when it came to types of food, but she still preferred berries.

"I hate to say that I'm not that interesting." she chuckled. "I work in a little restaurant, with my roommate. I do enjoy meeting new people." She thought, trying to find something interesting about herself, but not really being about to think of anything. She shrugged and continued, a little sheepishly. "I do have a bit of a shopping addiction. I love fashion, even when I was a normal Bulbasaur, I enjoyed it. But, it was a little hard growing up in the wild... trying to find fashionable items to wear." She smiled, remembering how she'd gotten a hold of the Reaper Cloth she wore as a scarf around her neck. It was a lot of running, from a very angry Dusclops. There was a big misunderstanding, where the Ghost-type had thought she'd STOLEN it. As if she'd ever do that... granted her first outfit she'd ever gotten, she'd stolen. But she didn't have any money at the time... and she did leave a large bag of freshly picked berries when she was able to. She hadn't gone back since, and wondered if she'd left enough berries.

Smiling, she brought herself back from her thoughts. "What about you, Brick?"

The rock type smiled "Ohh I am sure you have tons of grand stories to tell, not a single person in the world is one dimensional" he winked at her. "My story , ohh goodness my story is full of adventure and excitement, I was born under a rock" he stated. "No really I was born under a rock thats where most relicanth's lay their eggs, they just plop us under a rock, it is our only protection from the sea life. I'm not sure if you know but relicanth's only lay up to five or so small eggs , thats why we are so rare, than the chance of life is slim to none, so us canths are really lucky to be even alive, our mums just leave us and from birth we have to defend ourselves. I was lucky since a few corsolas kept me safe and then told me the story of my birth. My mom only laid three eggs and we all got knocked over by a shark pokemon hunting a seal pokemon. It flipped the rock we were under during the hunt. Our eggs landed in a cluster of corsola, saddly my brothers wondered off right when they hatched like most doo , but I stayed and learned from them."He beamed. Tulip was the first Pokemon he ever told this event to. Normally he makes something up. With her he wanted to tell the truth.

After telling her the story Uma brought the food over to them "Watch out the chips are right off of the fryer" she stated with a wink. "Thanks Uma" stated Brick. " I have so much great events to talk about , like collecting rare items I found as a fish or battling off huge sea monster but the best story I have is how I got my star and living on this farm" he stated. As they ate and drank there shakes Brick went on and on about his life. He explained to her how Ho gave him a star and how they road on the back of Noland the arcanine to get to the farm. Who is the brother of Caden the camerupt who happens to be Telma's adopted son. He told her about helping Lulu at the gift shop and learning things from Gabriel Night. He told her about his guardian Paulette and her helpers. He then went back to the land of pokemon where he talked about Sage the epic torterra. He would then remember something about the farm and tell her about that. He had a lot to talk about. Uma sat watching them as she served others. It was rather cute how happy Brick looked. He never beamed so much in his life.

"So thats the story of the time I helped Zeeker find the missing pumpkin monster" he ended. He looked at the bars clock, two hours went by. It didn't even feel like it. He signaled Uma and she came to take their plates " Boy that was the most in-depth conversation I have seen two strangers have ever" she stated. That meant a good deal coming from Uma who has seen all kind of things. Brick smiled " I hope I didn't bore you Tulip?" asked. He then looked up "The purple sweet potato fries were the best I ever had, you did great Uma" he applauded. "If we are going to get you dress you better hurry over to Andy and Andie's" he stated with great emphasis as he took a few last sips from his drink. Uma smiled "Omgosh I love getting garments from them , they make all of our uniforms , they are the best" she smiled. Brick couldn't wait to get over there. He just knew Tulip was going to trip out.
