Ellie Spectre's family had a tradition every New Year. Though some people seemed to think that New Year's Resolutions were absolutely ridiculous, her family had always taken it seriously. Every year they would write up their goals for the upcoming year and share them with each other. This year was no different, yet it was quite different, all at once. She and her family had done their yearly exchange.

Yet for Ellie, it wasn't ending there.

The original plan had been to set up a team meeting the day of New Year's, but after ********* had shared with the blonde that it was the youngest teammate's birthday on the first, Ellie was willing to reschedule. The rest of the world tended to celebrate their birthdays without problem. So the meeting was set up for the first Saturday after New Year's. There were specific guidelines for the meeting.

Everyone had to write up goals for the team for the upcoming year and bring it with them to the meeting.

The blonde sat on a bench near the plastic tubes playground at the park with a decent sized box to her side wrapped up like a birthday present. She sat there as a civilian, boredly waiting for the others to arrive.
