User Image Kishi had been in the Pride lands for about a week now and still there were some areas that she hadn't seen yet. Humming and lazying about with her eyes closed she stretched on a stone floor located in her home that was located in the stone cave. Fluttering her eyes to slits she took in the few lions that were still sleeping a few steps away. It was heaven, so far she had not regretted coming to this place. She was a bit wiry at first but pride life seemed to be lovely. Pretty much everyone had your back or worked together when their was an issue.

Soon Kishi would have to earn her keep and do something that would help the pride, she just needed to figure out what she could do. She always enjoyed being around children but the elders spoke about her becoming a huntress for now. Even thinking about that made her wince as she wasn't the best of hunters.

Humusi grunted as he batted lazily at a fly, mumbling something incoherent. He didn't always sleep in the large pride den, but sometimes it was nice. He was just starting to wake up for the day, thanks to that fly, and stretched out with a large groan. He rolled to his side, blinking open his bright green eyes. Ah, what to do today?

His tail gave a lazy flick as he slowly got to his paws and stretched out his limbs more, yawning in the process. He shifted and moved carefully around other sleeping bodies as he made his way onto pride rock, the sun was shinning brightly. That made him grin, and he flicked a rock with his paw as he moved further out so he could look at the lands. "A hunt or an epic adventure?" He questioned out loud. Even as an adult he still enjoyed games with heavy use of the imagination, though sometimes he felt that maybe he should be acting a little more like an adult or something.

A male voice broke into Kishi's thoughts and she looked around to see where it was coming from... ah a brown and black male was heading towards the lip of the cave. Handsome. 'Oh, to go up and talk to this male or not...hmmm well what do I have to lose?' Groaning a bit as she got up...Kishi really needed to bring in some leaves or grass to soften the ground up a bit in here. A few bone pops later, she made her way out to see where the male had gone. Once outside Kishi looked around and couldn't find the male.

" Hello?" She spoke not too loud as she didn't want to wake the others up and cautious ventured out. Gasping she took in the simple beauty of mother nature. The view was amazing, everything could be seen from way up top. Heights didn't bother her too much but sometimes she did get a bit dizzy looking downward.

He blinked when he heard another out on the ledge and looked around slowly. He turned himself about and when his gaze landed on the female he offered a rather large smile. He moved forward. "Hi!" He was not as careful at keeping his voice down in his excited state, he quite enjoyed being able to socialize with others. The younger the better, because it was more often he could coax a few juveniles into some games as opposed to most adults... who wanted to do things like hunt or gossip or... well he didn't know what else!

He looked her over and decided she was not related to him. He had a lot of relations in the pride, there were definitely clues to who was related and who wasn't. For instance, the little anchor mark he had just above his nose was a dead give away for those related on his mother's side. Other than that... his line favored rusty browns, golds and other similar colors. But on top of all that reasoning was the fact that he'd never seen this female before! Not that it was entirely unheard of meeting a stranger in the pridelands when you'd both been living in it all of your lives... "What's up? Don't think we've met! I'm Humusi, you new here?" His tone was pleasant and up beat, even though he'd just woken up for the day. He still wasn't keeping in mind the sleeping lions not far off from he and the female.

Kishi found herself smiling back at the happy greeting she received from the male which caused her eyes to crinkle. " Hi," She spoke warmly before blinking and looking up. "The sky?" She replied with a confused wrinkle of her nose, not understanding the slang term. " Nice to meet you Hamusi and yes I am! I just came upon this land about a week ago. My name is Kishi~ I heard you out here and was thinking...maybe we could have a look around? Or are you busy? Have you been in the pride lands long?"

Kishi moved closer to the male so they wouldn't be so loud and looked behind her at some of the grumpy face of felines looking in their direction. " I think it best we venture off this rock and possibly get something to eat? Or swim?" She wasn't scared of the others, it was just she had been in their paws when trying to sleep and couldn't because of chit-chatting.

Humusi began to laugh as she stated that the sky was up, thinking she was making a joke of some sort. It was a good one too, he'd have to remember it so he could tell the next lion he bumped into about it! He bowed his head a little after they exchanged names, ears perking. "Ah, very new!" He exclaimed, nodding. He chuckled more at her questions, head tilting lightly. "Course I have, I was born here. You'll probably see a lot of lions that look like me. I'm related to a lot of the members here. Sometimes I wonder about that, you know? Like... how the heck does a family get that big y'know? What about you, come from a big family? Small? Only cub?" He raised his brows at that, thinking it would be unfortunate.

As she lowered her voice and glanced back to the main den he finally started to understand that they were inconveniencing others who were sleeping. He nodded in agreement then nodded in the direction that would lead them down off of pride rock the quickest way. "Swimming sounds nice, unless you're hungry? Not a morning eater myself... always makes me feel really lazy and then I can't go on any fun adventures. How do you like it here Kishi?"

Her ears twitched upward happy to have found someone who had lived these lands for their whole life. "Swimming sounds good to me as well! I could use some floating time." She began to move towards the direction of water. Her direction wasn't too bad as others she had ran into on her journey through the rogue lands. "So, to answer your questions~" She looked over at the male with a smile. " I have a small family, so small that I don't even remember my parents. I was taken in by an elder who...passed away many moons ago, it was that happening that cause me to find my own place and family so I wouldn't be alone. It must be nice to live in a huge family, everyone takes care of one another... at least I hope they do?" She looked over her shoulder with a raised eyebrow.

It was only a few minutes of walking before they finally reached the somewhat crystal clear water that had flowers and vines drapping down. " Last one in has to get us lunch later on!" Kishi let out a giggle before dashing ahead, not looking back to see if Hamusi would follow.

He chuckled lightly and gave a small shrug. "Sure, some of us take care of each other. But in such a big family there's a lot of different personalities, you know? I'm pretty sure some of my cousins and stuff hate being in such a huge family. Aah~ it must be nice having such a small, intimate family! I think it's easier to be close to everyone that way... I guess both types of families are good in their own ways." He grinned. It was good she had a family somewhere... it was so sad when he heard about a lion not having family any longer! "I guess all sorts of families exist." He concluded, sounding like he was wondering about it a little.

When she proposed her challenge he laughed, "Oh!" and she was already racing for the water, so he too bounded forward. But the head start was enough to prepell her into the cool depths before him, though he splashed into the water only seconds after. "Whoooo~!" He shouted as he surfaced, shaking out his mane. "Ah! This feels great!" He sent a splash of water her way, laughing. "I guess I'll have to catch the food then, huh? I warn you though, I'm not that great at hunting! But fair is fair, huh?"

Laughing at just the simple joy of company and childish fun Laelia smiled at Hamusi before carrying on the conversion before the water. " I guess it depends on the feline." She smiled charmingly. " I am the opposite, it leaves room for more personality and strength in numbers. But I guess family could be classified as something not of hertiage but friendship as well. Indeed many families and that is what makes life interesting."

Gently swiping a paw of water at the male before nodding her head. She wished in someway that Prome was here to enjoy this great friend and make new friends along with her. " It certainly looks that way. Oh and don't worry-" She winked cutely. " If you need help just say so and I will try my best as well. Though I must admit I tend to trip over my paws a bit. I'm not cut out for this hunting business like the other females I have noticed here. I mean I am not incompetent I just... would rather be around the cubs. "

His brow shot up, wondering if she was implying that he lacked personality. He grinned slowly though, because he wasn't one to get into arguments or debates. He relied heavily on just assuming what another meant, usually leaving room so whatever was said would become an unoffensive statement. Maybe she just was making the case for herself specifically, and not all lions? He would leave it be. "Mmhmm." He gave the polite dip of his head as reply.

He chuckled and splashed back a little more before rolling to his back and letting himself float for a bit, paws resting on his chest and his eyes half shut as he took in the beautiful sky. He smiled and glanced over to her, though he'd missed the wink. "Oh no, a bet is a bet!" He stated, his voice excited and determined. "So I'll hunt and you'll just wait for a meal." He grinned.

"Ah, you wanna be a nanny then? I like cubs too! They're great, I have a lot of fun around them!"

" Yes, I would love a huge family instead of small." She didn't really know if her answer wasn't meant to insult at all. She watched as he dipped his head politely, such lovely manners as she smiled at him. She watched as he floated along in a most interesting position. " Alright then, we can gather a meal later on when the time suits us but for now let us enjoy the day together-oh! A nanny, that sounds like a lovely job." Her passion speaking through her voice and her body becoming more animated. "I will have to appeal to the elders for such a position."

The day was slowly becoming night across the pride lands and Kishi happily tired. A good tired, she had nice company and was full from their successful hunt earlier on. Soon it would be time to head back to the rock for a good nights rest. Life was well on its way to being great.
