So... well, he was in a semi good mood, y'know, with taking Taryn to the train station, and getting over the stuff that had gone down lately, and it was Christmastival, right? Roch was even certain about what he wanted to do for a bit, but... Possibly he should have started with someone else, he thought as he stepped up to Xiu's door. Danny's room wasn't too far off, and then there was Riley's--which... now that he thought about it, he'd never been to, but hell, he figured he could find it sooner or later. And lessee... Claire? No. Barth? Another no... were there any other demons that he actually liked enough to play for? ... mmm... not that he could think of. Oh well, he'd hit these three and go over to the monster dorm to play for his little sister, and Demi, possibly? Nah, the dawg was probably still sore at him for the whole Xiu debacle. He'd add Taryn, but he'd already done her, and besides, she'd gone home for the day... Ren? Yeah, he could do Ren-- He held out his hand, making a fist and summoning his guitar. FEAR swirled around his hand, forming into his weapon as he mentally went over what song he should play. Well... it would probably be the last time he played it, so hell, why not? He was gonna haveta go to the ghost dorm, wasn't he? The sisters and Jove, at least-- The punk boil was so busy listing out the people he was going to gift with song (he was broke, okay?) that he didn't realize he was no longer alone in the hall.

Vaith had several boxes of snacks in a bag, his teeth biting sharply down on a candied stick as he strolled through the demon dorms. His steps through the hall was soft but the crunching of hardened candy between his teeth was abnormally sharp, running one hand through his hair. Let's see .. Where was her room again? Huh. He probably should have asked-- Was there anyone around to ask? Well, would they even answer him? Demons and reapers, Vaith didn't often find themselves getting along. Most of the time. It was Christmas and Vaith had some favors to return. Some nicely, some .. not so much.
Oh! There was someone! From the back with a guitar!
"Hey. Do you know where Xiu's dorm is? Long white hair, red dress--"
He assumed the boil lived in the dorms. At least, until he identified him. A flicker of recognition and then a moment to mull it over. This boil, he had seen a few times with Xiu! .. No, wait, was this boil a demon? Shoot, Vaith couldn't quite place it .. He could probably ask a demon or non-demon where Xiu lived. But then if he asked that, would it look weird? Maybe he should have knocked on a random door to ask instead.
Vaith decided whatever way he took to ask Xiu's room would have placed him inappropriately. Damnit, why didn't they have a dorm listing or something in front!

For a moment Roch went still, his mind trying to place the voice as he turned to look at the other reaper. He was still holding his guitar, but at the sight of Vaith he let it dissipate. The boilfriend, jackdammit, he'd forgotten about that--and he'd already sworn off dealing with taken ghouls, and this was EXACTLY the reason why--
"Huh?" he said blankly, his mind finally catching on the question he'd just been asked. "You... don't know Xiu's room?"
Dude, this guy SUCKED as a boilfriend. An evil thought crossed Roch's mind, which he promptly shoved down again. "Right there," he said, pointing at the door behind him and turning to walk away.
Maybe he could find Riley's room, he decided. Wait, she was dating a guy--no--a... an IT, right? Would its get jealous if someone played for their ghoulfriends? Oh, and Malodore was like, a surgeon or something, right?
Dude, it would SUCK to wake up and find yourself on a chopping block just cuz you talked to the wrong ghoul...

Vaith wasn't sure why the boil looked so .. Well, Vaith wasn't sure how to describe it. But it was a little off, one didn't give that expression to another who simply asked for directions. Hm. "Well.. She spends all of her time in my room. I never needed to know hers until now." Vaith explained, a hand raising in thanks to the boil. Xiu always visited him, Vaith never needed to visit her! He saw her in school and other places! He rang the door bell..
.. and rang it.
.. and rang it again.
The sound of the ringing echoed softly through the halls, plaintive enough to tell both boils that Xiu wasn't currently in her room. Ok, time to follow the other boil out~ His steps fell in line behind Roch's, humming a tune to himself.

So... Xiu was chasing him, huh? It jackin' figured, Roch thought with disgust--only to curse inwardly as no reply came and the other reaper started to...
What in the JACK was this guy doing following him? A scowl crossed Roch's face as he looked at Vaith. "The exit's that way," he told him, jabbing a thumb behind him. "Y'know, since she ain't here."
It was close to what he WANTED to say, but not quite. And his good mood was rapidly--
"Johnny," he said, stopping abruptly, an purely evil smile spreading across his face. How could he have forgotten? But he didn't know where Johnny's room was--
But he bet he could find it! He started jogging, looking at each of the doors as he passed them, trying to find some sign that a big rock star lived there. Harder than it seemed in the Demon dorm...

"Gotcha. Exit's that way." Vaith confirmed, a little sheepishly, wondering why the demon dorms was so .. Well, suitable for demons. Why was there gold lions and chandeliers? Hell, with any rough-play, it seemed that all of this extravagance was going to break around him. Vaith wasn't accustomed to wandering through these dorms and he didn't think he ever would be be.
Vaith walked slowly but surely towards the exit, his eyes jerking from corner to corner as he walked. He stopped in the common room along the way, his hand running along the smooth skull engravings along the grand piano .. Tentatively, he pressed a few notes. It was only a small sound within the vastness of the demon dorms, allowing the reaper to sit down and press some more notes freely.
"Damn, why don't we get one of these in our dorms?" Vaith wondered out loud, a little incredulously. Oh-- He was supposed to be heading for the exit. Did he just enter the room from left or right..? Both doors looked the same. Shoot.

"I'm serious!!" Roch yelped, racing into the room, something flying past his head and landing on the ground. "If you're gonna change you should jackin' well CLOSE YOUR DOOR!" he bellowed over his shoulder. "Besides, you freak, you're a guy--I don't swing that way!" he added as another random object flew at him.
The punk grunted as the can hit the back of his head, reaching up to rub it before he summoned his guitar. "Oh, if you're gonna play it like that," he snarled, starting back.
A door slammed shut, followed by the sound of several deadbolts locking. "p***y!" Roch bellowed. Then he looked up, seeing Vaith. "Did you find Xiu?"

"Xiu? She wasn't in, I figured I'd come back tomorrow." Vaith cheerfully explained, getting up from the piano seat. He didn't remark on Roch's surprising entrance, seeming to bypass it entirely. In their brief time, Vaith concluded that the other seemed to have a temper of sorts by the way he summoned his guitar and yelled back at a dorm resident. Not a temper that Vaith wanted to land on, as troublesome as it was.
"Looks like I've got no reason to stay any longer." He pulled out the sliding panel, ornately decorated in skulls, to cover up the black and white keys from the dust. "Are you leaving too?" Some ghoul walked through the dorms, entering the hallway Roch came from. Aha, the exit. Vath took the same path the ghoul came from, his dragon familiar's claws running across his shoulder with a feathery tickle as it curled around his neck.

He nodded, slipping his guitar strap over his shoulder. A strange look crossed his face as he watched the other boil for a long moment. It didn't seem angry, but there was a tiny hint of a frown on his face. "About Xiu..." he said quietly. "Don't hurt her." It wasn't exactly MEANT as a threat, but for the kid that'd just threatened to go back into a demon's dorm and beat the living hell out of a guy (not in those words, so much, but seriously, it was pretty obvious) it sure seemed like one.

Vaith had to rewind his thinking for a moment. Vaith? Hurting XIu? Unlikely, if not downright, impossible. He didn't remember this guy being her "aniki" or the vague term she used. So, a friend was the likelier option. With a request like that, even coming from a stranger, Vaith wouldn't have refused it anyways. Who could refuse the ghoul who brought tea and snacks?
"Gotcha. I'll try not to. " Vaith promised, his hand lifting in a brief wave as he started to exit the building. He thought of something suddenly, his shoulder tipping to turn his attention back to Roch. "Don't hurt her either. We'll both be doing our best not to muck up these requests, won't we?" His black and yellow back retreated, the noise markings shifting along his clothes.
Vaith would try. Even as friends, there was no hundred percent guarantee. Apparently, there was some sort of treaty that Vaith had agreed to without knowing.

Roch didn't reply to that one, only shrugged and let the guy go. Suddenly he was done with the demon dorm, even if he hadn't gotten to Danny yet. With that thought he headed for the nearest empty room, escaping out the window.
He probably couldn't hurt Xiu even if he tried, so that was no big deal, right?
