Cressida LinWoke before the mornin' sun I found it tucked beneath the hills I sat and watched it rise It hit the sky and burst to flames Cressida wasn't sure about this... but, it wasn't like she was doing anything wrong, right? She just wanted to find out about the books she would need for the class... but Professor Volce didn't seem to be there. "Maybe if I just..." She muttered, looking around for maybe a "while you were out" memo pad, but found no such thing. She sighed, looking around, unsure if she should go or just wait for him. 'I guess I'll just wait, then...' Cressi frowned, looking around the room some more, maybe for a supplies list. Look outside the box, my friend! Your heart's been dead since who knows when? It seems we've missed the mark, lost all hope and given in.

Silveril Volce ________________________There was some time before class would start. Silveril entered his classroom. As usual, the blinds were closed since was still unused to the sunlight. Silveril walked to the window. If he didn't do something about it, he would never be used to the light. He hesitated, but pulled the blinds open. Light flooded into the room. Silveril was forced to squint and then shield his eyes as his senses screamed at him to close the blinds again.
And he did.
"I'll just have to get used to it little by little. There's no need to rush."
Silveril turned away from the window, still feeling a little dizzy. He sat down in his seat. Due to the Vivian's potion's side effects, he was feeling kind of sleepy. He tried to get some work done, but was soon nodding off to sleep.
(I was unsure if Cressida was still here.) ________________________

Cressida LinWoke before the mornin' sun I found it tucked beneath the hills I sat and watched it rise It hit the sky and burst to flames ((Um, let's just say she left and came back. I didn't think of an escape route. xD )) "Maybe he's back by now...?" She mumbled, rounding the corner and entering the classroom. "Oh! Professor Volce!" She gasped, not expecting him to actually be here this time. "Oh, um... I'm, I'm one of your students, Cressida Lin, and, I was just checking... what textbooks do I need for your class? It wasn't on my supply list..." Cressida said, becoming quiet again, internally cursing herself for this unneeded shyness. Look outside the box, my friend! Your heart's been dead since who knows when? It seems we've missed the mark, lost all hope and given in.

Silveril Volce ________________________Silveril jolted awake to the sound of a girl's voice. He didn't intend to fall asleep. He blinked a bit and glanced at the girl that had awoken him from his unprecedented nap. Just what was she mumbling about?
"I'm sorry, what was it that you wanted? I didn't quite hear you." Silveril asked the girl as he tried to shake off his drowsiness. ________________________

Cressida LinWoke before the mornin' sun I found it tucked beneath the hills I sat and watched it rise It hit the sky and burst to flames Cressida sighed, cursing her damnable shyness under her breath. How in the world would she be able to take the class if she couldn't even look the professor in the eye. She took a deep breath, and lifted her head up. "Your class. What books do I need? There wasn't anything listed on the supply list, ... sir." She spoke again, louder this time. Look outside the box, my friend! Your heart's been dead since who knows when? It seems we've missed the mark, lost all hope and given in.

Silveril Volce ________________________She spoke slightly louder than last time. She couldn't even look him in the eye either. Perhaps this human was frustrated with him. He wasn't quite to sure about human actions. However, there was something about this girl that wasn't very human but he wasn't sure what it was.
"That's because I assign textbooks to students. Be sure to take good care of it for the next generations."
Silveril got up from his seat and went to the cabinets in his room and started rummaging through them. He pulled out a heavy textbook and stepped over to the waiting girl. He held the textbook towards her, expecting her to take it. ________________________

Cressida LinWoke before the mornin' sun I found it tucked beneath the hills I sat and watched it rise It hit the sky and burst to flames Cressida gingerly took the book from her professor, feeling the heavy weight slump into her arms before she adjusted it, holding it down at her hips. "Oh, um, thank you, Professor Volce." She said, biting her lip. Now that she had gotten okay with the vibes of the Professor and a small voice buzzing in the back of her skull that she could only interpret as maybe a hiding ghost, Cressida wasn't sure if this was the cue to leave. "I'm, uh, I'm sorry I woke you, also..." She spoke, filling up time until she could properly decipher any social cues. There was something odd about the professor, although she couldn't decide what it was. Look outside the box, my friend! Your heart's been dead since who knows when? It seems we've missed the mark, lost all hope and given in.

Silveril Volce ________________________So she had noticed that he was napping. Silveril felt slightly annoyed with the side effects of the potions. At this rate, he might come off as some kind of lazy teacher to students if he continued to nap. He made a mental note to himself to go to bed earlier, but he knew it would be difficult because of his vampire instinct to stay up at night.
"It's fine-- or rather, thank you for waking me. If that is all then, you may leave."
(Yeah, my character's a bit of an anti-social dude. =w=") ________________________

Cressida nodded, uttered another "Thank you, sir!" and dashed out, intimidated by Professor Volce, unsure why. Look outside the box, my friend! Your heart's been dead since who knows when? Angela.Tremaine It took a bit of wandering before Angela managed to find her first class of the day--physics. A subject she actually rather enjoyed. As she hesitated in front of the door, she wondered if the instructor would take more of a practical or theoretical approach to the subject. If it was the former, things would likely be more hands on. If it was the latter, they would probably be dealing with more mathematics and equations as part of their work. She didn't really mind one way or the other, but she did find hands on experimentation a bit more exciting. It would be nice if the professor was one that balanced the two. Considering this was one of her favorite subjects, she hoped the professor was good, and that this wasn't a let down. It would be disappointing if she ended up hating the class. She highly doubted she would do much frolicking about with girlfriends, so the only thing she was likely to have here would be her classes and her schoolwork. It would be a shame if she had terrible teachers. She was actually a bit worried about the art instructor as well. Since that was her main source of enjoyment, she really wanted someone who was passionate about the subject, and wouldn't make them do stupid, kitschy little art projects. But. That was art, and this was physics. So she pushed thoughts of artistic creativity out of her head, and tried to get into more of a pragmatic, sciencey sort of creative mindset. Hesitating, and feeling the odd flutter of butterflies, she licked her lips a bit nervously and pushed the door open as she stepped inside. Class would be starting soon so hopefully it was alright to be a bit early. She stepped into the room, glancing around the class at all the tidy rows of desks. She stepped inside, her gaze falling on the man she suspected must be the professor. Drat! Now she had to introduce herself or something. She wasn't good at socializing unless it involved insults and fists which, saying hello usually did not. "Hello. I apologize for being a bit early, but this is my first class for the day. Is it alright if I take a seat?"

Silveril Volce ________________________Silveril glanced up at the sound of the door opening a student walked into the classroom.
"Hello. I apologize for being a bit early, but this is my first class for the day. Is it alright if I take a seat?" she asked him.
Silveril gave a nod. "Sit anywhere and just wait for the other students to come in." He turned back to grading papers, not quite sure how to keep a conversation and not interested in keeping one. He just hoped the students didn't complain about the blinds being shut since he was still unused to the light.
((Yeah, Silveril's a bit unsocial too. It's going to be awkward, I guess. =w=")) ________________________

Angela.Tremaine Angela let out a slow breath, relieved that he seemed all business and not so much friendly, happy and buddy-buddy. She started to a desk on the far side of the class, but near the front, pausing only as she passed a bookcase where she spotted a familiar title. She couldn't help but stop and pull the book out. "Oh, I read this last year," she said quietly. "I actually rather liked the section on wave-particle duality. The way the author explained the photoelectric effect was rather brilliant. I love her personal way of explaining physics. She makes it sound rather like a conversation you might have over tea." "I really love Quantum mechanics. I know that it's not really the sort of material we usually study at this age, but I do hope we manage to touch a bit on quantum theory in this class. The idea that nature is dual is so fascinating. It makes it seem that reality is dependent on the observer. I haven't managed to decide if that concept is terrifying or comforting really." This last bit was said nearly to herself, before she realized she was rambling pseudo-philosophy in her physics class. The professor probably thought she was daft. ((Fortunately, Angela can blather on about subjects that interest her when she doesn't have the pressure of knowing she's interacting with a peer. I just didn't know where else to send her. ^^; ))

Silveril Volce ________________________Silveril glanced up from his desk, slightly surprised with her knowledge. His lips twitched to smile when she caught herself ranting.
"So you're familiar with her work." Silveril remarked, "I'm afraid we won't be able to touch upon Quantum mechanics. I'm only teaching the basics as of right now since I'm the only physics teacher here. But if you're really interested, I have a few books you might care to look at."
Silveril got up from his desk and made his way to a cabinet. From inside the cabinet, he pulled out a few books and took them over to the student. Placing a few of them before her, he tilted his head slightly.
"Hopefully you haven't read any of these yet?" he remarked.
((I feel like a dum dum. =w=" I won't be able to converse much about physics do to my lack of knowledge. I only picked Physics teacher on a whim, hoping that I could just slap down some sentences that I understand about physics just to further my understanding of it. I probably should have picked calculus. xDD I'll do what I can to keep up, but I'll probably tiptoe around it.)) ________________________

Angela.Tremaine Drat, Angela thought. Well, she hadn't really expected them to anyway at this sort of academy, but she could still dream. Still, with the selection of books he set in front of her, maybe there was hope. Maybe he could give her private tutoring or something. She'd never had formal teaching in the area of quantum physics and she could fly through heavy theoretical texts in no time. It would be great to actually have someone tutor her on the subject. But she doubted he'd have the time or desire for that kind of thing. The books were nice though. "I've had my eye on this one," she said, picking up one of them. "But I haven't started it. The other titles are familiar, but I haven't looked into them at all." She looked up at him, a smile flashing over her pale features. "I would really love to borrow these. Thank you!" Oh...right. She should introduce herself or something. Though she was rather glad he didn't seem to think she was a complete dolt with her earlier rambling. "Ah, I'm Angela Tremaine," she said, hesitantly. "You're Professor Volce, right?" That was the name on her schedule anyway. ((Nooo...no worries. I seriously don't know all that much about physics. I'm just a geek and read way too much. The things she mentioned aren't really even that complex--they just sound fancy enough that her inner nerd can show. So no worries on that front. I'm not expecting any in depth discussions about quantum theory. XD ))
