Demon didn't entirely know what possessed him onto his current path... but now he was here, there was no going back. Demon was many things, but a coward was not one of them.

He sought out the one who had tortured him, the one who had destroyed every thing about his childhood -he may not have had it much differently with his mother, but at least there he would never have been a prisoner. Now, with his wounds healed into scars, and his body grown far beyond that of a young colt he was ready to face his nightmare. He had listened to rumors on the wind but hadn't heard much about Lana'thel.... but that wasn't surprising really.

Blood-Queen Lana'thel sighed in bordem, things had become so routine and tedious lately that she longed for something to break up the monotony that had become her life. New recruits didn't interest her, they broke far too easily to be of any true worth. Fights and wars were boring with no real opponant to stand up against her. No... life had become predictable and boring.

She looked to her familar Icecrown, "What shall we do today my sweet?"

Icecrown looked at her mistress, "A walk m'lady." Anything to get out of this place, it was too close for her liking, she much preferred the breeze and the lovely sun or moon on her skin. Of course, it wasn't up to her... the mistress wanted what the mistress wanted.

Lana'thel nodded, "That sounds like a plan." She smiled, perhaps they would find something interesting on their walk... something that would bring them entertainment, if only for a few moments.

Demon had heard a sliver of a whisper, something he wasn't even sure was true.... that a fierce looking mare matching Lana'thel's description had been seen in this area. He wasn't sure if this was true or not, but he wanted to check it out. He wasn't foolish enough to believe he would find her straight away, but a guy could hope. Demon still had a cause, he needed to get Cherish back, it was like a void under his flesh, and iche he simply HAD to scratch, now and forever. No one had the right to take what was his away from him.... in a small way he almost saw a similarity to himself and Lana'thel; except he didn't make those that were 'his' stay, they were not chained or beaten... if anything they were under his protection. First there had been Rhea, a fiesty mare that he freed after feeling too much towards her, it was a weekness... now there was Cherish, she was innocent and had a strange way about her.... that he had grown attached to.

Pushing that thought aside he tried to consider the task at hoof. With a sigh he looked around and wondered which direction to take... left or right.

Lana'thel paused for a moment, the sun was just going down but the world was a glow in a light so pure it almost made her sick... yet she couldn't deny enjoying basking in the glow. "This was a good idea." She said to Icecrown, sure that the air if nothing else would do her some good. A break from her duties. She took a deep breath, lingering only a moment longer before starting to walk south.

Icecrown was on her rump, attempting to hold on for all she was worth.... poor little fool, she thought, always just a hair away from death. How weak and insignificant. Lana'thel wasn't entirely sure why she kept the creature around sometimes, but at others she enjoyed the sharp intellect and view, very few creatures would stand up to her... very few had ever stood up to her. She was a being to be feared and worshiped, not to be argued with. Lana'thel had never been one to suffer fools lightly.

The breeze picked up, bringing all kinds of scents to her nose... but one... a strange dark musk, mixed with sweat and the slightest tint of blood caught her attention. It was familar yet so different.... her eyes narrowed with focus as she took another breath... the source was not far from her. A shallow grin peeled across her lips, perhaps the would be something of interest after all this eve?

"Come," She said to Icecrown before heading with a determined grace towards the alluring scent. The grin did not leave her features, not even when she saw what appeared to be the outline of a Kalona male in the distance.

Her voice was one used to having her commands heard and obeyed when she spoke, it was not raised to a shout but was loud enough to cover the distance between her and the stranger.... "Stop intruder. You are on my land." Then, like any good predator she stopped and waited for her prey to fall into her trap.

Demon's whole body froze... that voice! It was like ice caressing his flesh, making him want to shiver and escape. The trapped foal resurfaced for a moment, and a flash memory of pain, the scent of blood, degradation.... his front hoof twitched but that was the only outward sign of his discomfort that Demon showed.

A deep breath. Refocus. Recollection of everything he had achieved on his own... and a memory that HE had escaped once, defeated the odds and come out on top.

Determination returning Demon turned to face the mare he had once hated with all his soul.... ok, so he still hated her; she was simply not everything that he thought about anymore. Hadn't been for what felt like an eternity. "Lana'thel." He said dryly. No grin or humor, no cocky attitude or attempt to use black magic.... there was no need. Yet.

Blood-Queen Lana'thel couldn't hide the grin that sprawled across her lips, revealing her sharpened Kalona teeth. Now, now, now.... who did we have here. The one that got away alive. She had never suspected today would have become so... interesting.

Memories of his magnificent brawls, his determination to live, that spirit that hadn't been so much broken but bent to her will. Very few had been as wonderful to behold and master as he had been.... she had screamed in anger at his loss, the weakness of her men at losing him still ruffled her up the wrong way. Yet here he was.... returned.

"The prodigal son returns...." She said, looking over her shoulder at Icecrown for a moment. "...look my precious, I told you he would return to me. For I own his very soul." Lana'thel did not fear turning her attention from him, she would hear him should he storm towards her and since he had not outright attacked her she believed she stood safe for the time begin.... at least until the sway of time drifted from her favour.

Returning her gaze to Demon, she lazily inspected the adult he had become. Her golden chains remained, though they looked scuffed and broken as if he had attempted to remove them with no luck. His body was ripe with muscles, and his horns and fangs had grown into proportion. His hair was short but well kept... but as always it was his eyes that struck her. Glowing with evil and malice, as if his very soul was shining through, trying to escape the prison of his body. Lana'thel licked her lips as her eyes wandered over the interesting sash he wore.... it was the same colour as she, even the writting that seemed to glow from within matched her glowing stones... had he even realised that? Probably not.

She watched him for a moment longer before voicing one question, a note of impatience riding her tone; "Why are you here?"

Icecrown remained silent, even when her masters attention had turned to her.... she knew that the stallion before them was a weakness of Lana'thels. She had often voiced words of wonder towards what he had become, where he had gone.... she had listened to rumors, hearing that he had become feared by many and that he had some sort of power to make your own body turn against you. Icecrown had been surprised to learn that Lana'thel felt a warped satisfaction at what she had created.

Yet as Icecrown looked at the stallion before her.... she found herself wanting to run as far and as fast away from him.

Demon growled, he couldn't help it.... but her words.... the look on her face they all drew him back to a time when he had not been able to defend himself. Long was that young colt, trapped for an eternity under the rule of a dark queen. Never again would he allow that to happen. He was no longer weak... she had helped with that, even if he didn't want to admit it. She had forced him to fight for his life time and time again, honing his body and skills but never allowing him to feed properly or gain any real strength... that had happened later.

Still, he would not turn away from her. "My intentions are none of your concern." He didn't lie, didn't claim not to be here for her.... mostly because she would scent the lie and grin that horrible grin that would make the hairs on his neck stand on edge. No, he wouldn't... couldn't.... give her the satisfaction.

He calmed himself before allowing him to take several paces towards her. Each brought Lana'thel's features into focus, each made him want to claw and bite. He resisted, but as the muscles under his pelt rippled with purpose he found he wanted to release them to their purpose. Never again would he allow her to control him, and this, today, was to prove to himself as much as her that he was no longer afraid.

Lana'thel cocked an eyebrow at his responce. "Seems someone has regrown a back bone...." Even as he walked towards her she could sence that he had 'grown', his size was impressive, swamping her own... though her wing span was far larger due to the style of her wings. She looked at his wings, recalling how he had used them as a shield on several occassions, it was amazing they had not been more damaged.... maybe she should have done it herself; at least then he would never been able to escape her. But that had not been her purpose had it? No, she had wanted him as her personal guard, strong and capable and able to dispense her justice without so much as batting an eyelid.... and he would have been sooooo perfect. Much better than that sniverling wreck she had now. She rolled her eyes. Pathetic creatures, she was surrounded by them.

Grinning softly she spoke, "I have missed you." She all but purred the words, hoping to get some sort of reaction that she could use against him. When brute strength was not on your side, all that was left was your cunning.

His skin crawled. He had not missed her!

Demon cocked an eyebrow, his hackles rising for simply being in her presence... yet the way she spoke to him reminded him of a time filled with darkness, blood... his blood, hunger and pain. Oh, if she knew the truth of the scars she bore upon him she would be so satisfied with herself that Demon was afraid he would vomit. The scars he spoke of where not the physical ones that had healed and been forgotten... no... these were deeper, more permanent... he would not say 'heart'... a Kalona with a heart was a dead Kalona. His mother had taught him that.

He grunted to hide his discomfort as he took her bait and replied; "I always had a back bone... or have you forgotten that?" He grinned at her, the question lingering in his eyes.

Lana'thel watched him cautiously, she had always known that Demon would become magnificent.... but the creature before her supassed her wildest dreams. Oh how she would have marvelled in his exsistance had he still belonged to her. She was no weakling, but had always believed that there were somethings that were fine for others to soil their hooves over. She had seen much blood. Seen much violence... and caused most of both.

Lazily she swayed her tail, the hair floating on the ground... she knew that most hated that she did not have a fawked tail, the sign of a 'real kalona' but her brutallity had won out with time for her still to gain that tag. "True.... you were the only beast I never truely broke. No matter what I did to you... no matter what I said... no matter how many victums you slayed... or how much blood you lost...." She walked towards him, the urge to be near him overwhelming her sence of survival. "...you always had that determined glint in your eyes. That magnificent cunning..." She was so close now, could smell his scent... it was... off. She frowned. It had been so long, maybe it had changed? He was grown now after all, no longer the small colt but a grown man. "Of course... you betrayed me." She said it matter of factly, no anger, no disappointment.... though in truth she felt both.

She remained like that for a while before turning away again and returning to her original spot, she pulled her wings closer to her sides, a chill was rising on the wind. "I will still have you." Again she stated it as fact, for Lana'thel truely did believe that he belonged to her, forever tied in a battle of wills... he was the only stallion ever able to stand up to her, to withhold her torture and cruelty.

Demon growled with each word, the sound getting more and more agressive.... he would have her throat for that!

Instincts flared as he spread his wings, they were torn and damaged from all of his attacks and training, but that didn't mean he couldn't still use them. Plus they made him look three times larger. Intimidation was something else he had inherited from her.

Eyes narrowed. "I will never be yours! I would kill you rather than return to that hell!"

It was Lana'thel's turn to raise her eyebrow now. "So... you are not here to kill me?" She purred, "Interesting." She hadn't flinched to his growl, had heard enough of them, been the target of most.... yet she still stood here while the decaying memories of the fallen lay at her hooves.

Again she asked, "What do you want Demon?" She didn't expect an answer, at least not one that would actually tell her anything, but Lana'thel wasn't a patient creature... and if Demon lingered too long she would likely take matters into her own hooves.

Silence passed between them, until finally one word fell from his lips. "Closure." He said, his eyes still upon her. He didn't trust her as far as he could throw her, which given how much he knew she would fight wasn't much.

He moved a step closer before stopping, his eyes falling for a moment to the 'rat' she carried with her. They looked the same as before, and it was easy to find his mind wandering back to the hell that had been his life. She had stolen so much from him, just has much as she had given him. Perhaps as a kalona he should be thankful, he had at least made it past foal hood alive, and stronger for the experience... or so he liked to believe.

"Closure?" She laughed, "Are you in councilling or something boy? Have you gone mad in your time away from me?" She clucked her tongue in both amusement and disappointment. A small shake of her head sending her long mane dancing. She didn't move too much though, not wanting Demon to change his mind about killing her... she was not read to leave this world for the underworld after all, far too much left to be had.

With a sigh she looked at Demon, in many ways he was almost a child to her, almost. In many ways he was so much better, the creatures who had birthed him had clearly known what they were doing in terms of genes.

She huffed a little, not rising to his intimidation. Aware that if he wanted her dead she would be. "So, how do you intend this closure?"

Icecrown flinched at the stallions attention, slinking into the shadows of her mistress. She had a bad feeling. A very bad feeling.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 07, 2012 2:50 pm

He folded his wings back to his side, deciding that his show was no longer needed. It was clear he had made his point... plus, since she had not really rose to his mild baiting he couldn't help but feel slightly inferior next to her. Something that was far from acceptable! Demon would one day be seen as the strongest Kalona in the land, he just knew it, could feel it in his blood and bones; and on that day he would finally find his peace. Of course, he still had some way to go, but even if it meant finding and killing all those that ranked above him he was willing to do just that. To force his name to be spoken in hushed whispers and feared glances towards the shadows.

Through hard work and determination, along with some training from a Kalona called Alti, he had come to master Black Magic. A skill he was more than willing to use to his advantage. He had already learnt that getting your hooves dirty and bloody was not the only way to get what you wanted. Manipulation. Intimidation. A few choice words.... all could be just as effective if the situation was read correctly. Skill sets that Demon liked to believe he was close to mastering also. For some reason he recalled meeting that fluttercorn after escaping Lana'thel all those seasons before.. Soph.... Sof.... something, he had radiated a quite power, a power that didn't need to be constantly showed off to be understood.... that was what he sought in many ways. True power.

"Seeing you..." he growled at her, "...has done much for my cause. You are.... smaller than I remember." He commented, his tone never changed from one of hatred, there was no changing that, but the longer he stood in her presence the more Demon came to see her for what she was. Mortal. Replaceable. Female.

"That is all?" She laughed, swaying her body a little as she readjusted her position. "Well, you are more than welcome to come and see me whenever you like my precious Demon." She grinned at him, risking stepping forward, the gap closing more and more between them. Patience, she told herself, all great prey was worth taking the time to stalk properly.

She opened her wings lazily, ensuring the movement couldn't be seen as aggressive before pulling them back to his sides. "Well. True size isn't your body, but your attitude, how you hold yourself." She looked at him then, "For example, straighten yourself, hold your neck up straight. Pride. Allow your confidence to flood out... and it will add so much height to you Demon that those who oppose you will see you as a giant." Not that he was small, she had to admit he had grown to be rather large.

"I would love to see you fight again." She purred, her eyes sparkling with passion. "It has been so long since my eyes fell upon a worthy spectical."

Each of her words made his hackles rise. He really did hate her. She knew exactly what buttons to press, but he had grown much since his time with her, refused to be baited the same way as back then.

Still he took note of her words, not that he would ever admit that to her, but knowlegde was power, and Demon strove to learn all that he could, to know more than his opponants so that he could use their very ignorance against them. His secret weapon safetly tucked in his mind ready to be summoned forth with mere concentration. He didn't like how it seemed she was trying to draw him into conversation, yet his pride prevented him from simply leaving, prevented him from walking away and appearing the weaker party. Especially since he was here to prove just the opposite to himself. For that reason he replied. "I no longer fight for the simple amusement of others. My energy is better spent upon survival." He commented swiftly, huffing at the end as his eyes once again took in her whole form. They fell upon her glowing green stones. He had once hated them more than anything else, nightmares of green glowing eyes looking at him from the darkness, casting their menacing glow around... it was almost enough to send shivers down his spine just remembering.

"I belong to no one but myself Lana'thel. Something you would do well to remember."

Lana'thel laughed at that, actually laughed. "That is where you are wrong Demon. You have belonged to me ever since that day I stole you... did you never wonder why they stopped hunting? I told them to. I was that sure that you would return on your own... and look, here you stand." Ok, so most of that was exagerated, though she had always hoped he would return she had never been sure, and after a month of searching for him it had become clear that he would not be found unless he wanted to be. That or he was dead. To say she had been angry.... well, it was an understatement.

She took another step closer, able to scent he fully now. The aroma of a stallion that had spilt blood, a lot of blood. And something else... something she couldn't put her hoof on. It was deep with him, she was sure of that... but what? Confusion furrowed her brow for a moment, but it was only a moment, her stoic and controlled expression slipped back into place like a cloud over the sun. In her line of work, stray emotions could lead to death.

Her eyes found Demon's, and for a moment she simply looked at him. "Together...." She said, a grin spreading across her features as she eagerly awaited to see what expression he would show, to scent what emotion fled from him. "...we could breed a new super kalona. Do you not think?"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 07, 2012 3:59 pm

"Never." He hissed, the very idea was enough to make him want to vomit, and not because he had Cherish. Sure, he planned to breed with the simple mare, protect her like any other possession.... but that did not mean he would touch a mare like Lana'thel. Never.

To claim her words had no effect on him would be a lie, he was rattled. Had she really known he would return to find her? No, he thought, she was messing with his head... something he often did. Knock them off guard in their mind and their body fell easy prey to your attacks. He would not fall for such a thing. The muscles flexed under his flesh as he forced them all to tighten and relax again, testing them and his reactions.

She was so close now, closer than he liked but he would not retreat. Not from her. No, he was stronger than her, more cunning. He was sure in his own abilities, had survived and escaped her once, he would do so again.

Lana'thel pouted, "Oh Demon... are you always so serious?" If he had not been so tense and ready to attack her she might have teased him with a brush of her wing, as it stood she made no move to touch him. She was not suicidal after all.

She laughed a little and turned, stepping away. If he was going to attack her she was sure he would do it to her face. "Calm yourself boy." She looked over her shoulder then, feeling the scurrying feet of her squirral upon her back. "I have enough toys...." Her grin returned, "My favourite one just returned after all." Semi-serious now.

An idea started to form them.... would it work? That was the question.

She was baiting him, and while he would like to claim it didn't both him it did... beyond belief infact, it took all his focus to keep it from showing on his features. Demon didn't speak, knowing all to well that to do so would likely be final knot tying him to her forever. A place Demon never wanted to be again.

No. He enjoyed his freedom far too much. His thoughts wandered to Cherish for a moment, did she even see the difference? He could still remember the innocence in her gaze when he had first captured her for his own possession, no fear simply wonder. She had called him a God, what Kalona, no, what Stallion wouldn't like that? She was simply and easy enough to understand yet he was more than aware of the fact that she was female, that she had a mind. Their time together may have been short before her family had dared defy his claim to her, dared to take what was his from his own land.... they would pay for that... but still, when he closed his eyes at night he often missed her warmth. She had been a cuddler after all, and while he cared little for that, he could not claim that the thought of being seen as irressistable by her had not been without it's own appeal. He shook his head, dislogding the thoughts before they settled too deeply upon his features only to be used against him.

Any weakness could mean Death afterall.

Deciding he needed to fill his own silence with something, perhaps simply to break his chain of thought to to distract Lana'thel before she caught onto it.... either way he spoke, "I am no boy... and I do believe it is time you gained a new hobby, old woman" He practically hissed the last part, malice, rage, hatred, they were all dripping in those two words.

Lana'thel could have taken his words one of three ways. Aggressively. Offensively. Passively. She decided to go down the passive route, knowing full well that aggression would be met with aggression. Still, the old woman comment hit deep, just as he knew it would.

Holding her head up high she shook her head, her long braided mane cascading around her. She sighed in exasperation and eyed him up. "I do not care what you believe.... or have you forgotten?" Yes, she was baiting him now, but she wouldn't simply lie down and play dead. She was not dead, she was not weak.... her strength was simply different to that of a stallion.

She stepped away, walking with a lazily grace. There was a purpose to her walking, distance, she wanted distance between them. "If you have what you wanted.... leave." Why did she feel nervous? Why did she feel as if the tide was about to change.... kalona's. Too unpredictable at times for their own good.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 10, 2012 6:57 am

I do not care, yes, he was more than aware that Lana'thel did not care for him in that way. Not that it bothered him, he was a Kalona after all, feelings got in the way, and their feelings were different to those of other breeds any way. His love for Cherish, and many have mistaken it for such, no, his love was more a possessive need than a heart breaking throb. He missed her in his own way, but it was hard to place an exact emotion or feeling towards it. It simply was what it was. Cherish was his. No one else could have her. Not until Demon was done.

Still, her words ruffled him again. It was a credit to his self-control and his training that he didn't simply rage and rise to her baiting. Yes, there had been a time when every insult, every word would have had him out of control, showing the beast within to the world. That young colt was gone, squashed by experience and life, a need to do what he needed and to think as well as act. Demon had fought with pretty much every creature that stumbled across him at one point, not able to hold a conversation and rising to every desire to kill and destroy. Then came his quest to learn Black Magic, instead of teeth and hooves and horns he used his mind. Both proving to be just as deadly, that pinky-purple mare lying dead in the lake flooded to his mind. How... delightful!

"You do not get to tell me what to do anymore. You are not my Queen." He huffed at her, approaching very much like a lion about to leap and pounce on it's prey. His spade tail swayed on the ground. "I shall leave shortly, first.... I need to...." He licked his lips. "...leave my mark." It was a need to prove to himself that he could truely dominate her, that he really didn't have anything fear, that the colt that had been trapped by her had long grown and disappeared. It was a concept far easier said than done.

It didn't surprise her at all when Demon defied her, she might have actually been disappointed if he had.... as he wasn't quite the stallion of worth that she believed him to be. "That is right my sweet little Demon," she taunted, "I am your master!" She would not allow herself to be so easily intimidated by him. She had teeth and 'claws' too!

She heard him approach, her heart froze within her chest as her mind swirled with wonder at what exactly he had planned. It wouldn't surprise her if he struck, and when his words left his lips Lana'thel believed Demon would do just that.

Heart now racing she turned and glared at him. A silent challenge. If he wanted to bring it... fine! BRING IT!

Demon couldn't help himself, he approached, his glowing white eyes trained on their mark. Queen. Master. Slave. They made no difefrence to him no, this mare would never hold any power over him again, the illusion of power and strength he had seen as a foal was gone, long deserting a creature of the night who lives in the memory of her name, the rumours and titles keeping most at bay.... no, he saw her clearly now, and what he saw made him want to laugh. "I have no master. Never did." No, even when he had 'served' her he had been hoping for escape, too strong willed to completely submit to her. "You did me a favour in part.... but that is it. I have no love for you. You are nothing to me Lana'thel, do not fool yourself into believing otherwise." Brave words, and with each he spoke he found it easier and easier to break the spell, to remove the memory and threat that had been the Blood-Queen.

With a snap of his powerful jaw he moved it towards her, grinning despite the lack of reaction. "So...." He purred, feeling more and more powerful around her, more comfortable and confident in himself once more. Yes, this was what he needed, to release the past, release it and completely embrace the Kalona he was, what he wanted, what he would become! He stepped closer, bringing his spade tail forward and as he turned his body slightly, his eyes never leaving her, he allowed it to stroke under her neck and chin. "...how do I prove that I have shattered my bonds with you completely." He grinned, his mind musing outloud as his eyes looked the mare up and down. Purposefully trying to be disconcerting, something he knew was working.

Lana'thel shuddered but tried to keep as stoic as possible, something that was only achieved by sheer force of will. Of course she couldn't hide the expression that crossed over her face when he assessed her like a raw steak. Still she straightened her spine and stood as tall as her smaller frame would allow. "How indeed. Poor Demon... always needing to prove himself." She was baiting him, knew it and decided it was the best course of action... the hope that it would catch him off guard, give her a moment to take control! Just a moment, that was all she would need....

....She took a deep breath, steadied herself. "Come back with me Demon, we shall forget about all this mess, I will forgive you and accept you with open wings. You are mine." And despite it all she WANTED him back. Wanted the powerful beast that he had become all for her own, her dream not completely forgotten even as she knew that this was likely to never happen... the look in his glowing white eyes enough to tell her that. In. Out. In. Out. She breathed, the heaving of her chest slow but consistent.

With a shift of her body, her wings opened and then closed again, almost like a butterfly showing its size, becoming predatorial in its effort to protect itself. Soon.... she would have to act soon. Stalling would only get her so far.

Demon snorted, actually snorted at her words. "You don't believe that any more than I do." He shook his head, then an idea trickled through his mind and he couldn't help but tease her, show her how worthless she had become in his mind. Powerless. "Of course, you could always come with me... be my slave, my pet..." He grinned, it full of malice and hate. "...I promise to play with you. Watch you squirm under my attentions. Have you fight. Even let me little soldier Hell have a swipe at you." OK, he was not foolish enough to think for even a moment she would accept, they were both far too proud for that, and this would not end well. Not at all. But he was prepared for that. Needed that. Needed... closure.

He grinned at the display of her wings, saw it for what it really was... a warning. But that was a good thing, if she was warning him she was feeling threatened, and while cornered animals struck the hardest the mere fact he could rattle her enough to crack even a little of her unwavering composure was enough to solidify his thinking. He didn't need her. She had no power over him. He was proud and strong. He would do this!

"Now now Lana'thel," Once again he refused to say her title, that would give her power and status and right now they stood more as equals.... well, with a tilt in his direction of course. "If I didn't know any better I would think you felt threatened." Calling her out on it might not have been the smartest option, but he knew that if he was truly worthy of the power he sought, of the name he had created for himself... he needed to be able to back up even his hot headed mistakes, to make sure that even when he caused a fight he could carry it to the end and win. Win. That was the key.... and oh how he enjoyed winning.

She hissed at him, unable to stop the reaction to his constant barrage of teasing and dismissal. "Big talk for such a little pup." She baited, if she couldn't have him willingly she needed him riled up and tempered... only then could she guarantee an opening, guarantee mistakes on his end. Of course that also worked both ways and he was really riling her up.

"Impudent child!" A growl tore from her throat, a tortured and strangled sound even as she stepped back and opened her wings in yet another display of size. She was large than him like this, despite how tall he was now her width was much greater. She was perfection, honed and sleek. "You were only ever good for one thing... pet!"

------------------------

Battle roll::
1- Lana'thel is unable to resist and strikes, striking with accuracy at his neck using her wing. Not enough to draw blood but enough to cause shock to the windpipe.
2- Lana'thel stamps her hooves and kicks out, barely hitting him with her strike before he counters and slams his horns into her side near her wing joint.
3- Icecrown can no longer stay still and out of it as she jumps at Demon, providing Lana'thel with a distraction as headbutts him, her headdress hitting him hard. Demon becomes a little dazed.
4- Demon attacks in anger at her words. Lashing out with teeth and horns and striking true.
5- Demon growls at her, anger bubbling as he turns and uses his body strength and weight to knock her even future away. Lana'thel strikes out with her rear hoof but barely makes contact as she falls.
6- Demon huffs at her before stepping closer, his face directly next to hers as he huffs once more in her face, his tail moves and wraps around her leg before he yanks. "Remember Lana'thel, how power can be stolen and manipulated... you taught me that."

Demon huffs at her before stepping closer, his face directly next to hers as he huffs once more in her face, his tail moves and wraps around her leg before he yanks. "Remember Lana'thel, how power can be stolen and manipulated... you taught me that." He knew he had her rattled, her reaction told him everything he needed to know.

He laughed, unable to hold the sound back. With every beat of his heart he felt more and more in control... better yet, she knew it! Knew where the power was really held right now. She had no army to hide behind, no right hand stallion to do her dirty work for her. One on one she was... disappointing.

But it was enough. Enough for him to know that he would never again tremble at her name or her memory, the foal who had long been tortured and abused by this beast was over it, had grown stronger, had used it as a means to an end and would no longer look back. Yes. He was better than her. Better than this... but that didn't mean he was simply about to walk away. Far from it. His hold tightened around her hoof, even as she tried to yank it back. "You left so many marks on me... these chains... these scars..." this was it, the beginning of the end. "Before I let you go I must do the same. Leave something on you that will show the world that at least one creature has bested you, that it's not impossible, that you are not an immortal queen of destruction!" He licked his lips, already anticipating the bite before he struck.

The move was quick and to the point, he grabbed the flesh of her shoulder in his might jaw, the fangs tearing through flesh... and the blood... it flowed freely into his mouth. Delicious. Made all the more so for the significance of this one action.

Lana'thel tried to yank her hoof away, surprise having given him an opening. Foolish! She had lectured him so much in the past about dropping his guard, about providing an opening... and he had learnt well, her best ever student! How he dare he outgrow her! How dare he no longer need her!

Anger built with every word he took and her tongue was like acid as it struck. "Marks! They are marks of honour and loyalty! Proof of the pain you have endured and lived though! YOU SHOULD THANK ME FOR YOUR BLOODY MARKS--" She was cut off mid rant, her breath stolen from her as he struck, teeth embedding themselves deep in her flesh. The pain! He head swamp and she doubled her efforts to thrash away.... even as it tore her own flesh.

She made it, blood flowing freely down her shoulder and just as freely from his mouth. He was magnificent like this. A good of Blood that had been carved into her image.... but this was unforgivable!

Battle roll::
1- Lana'thel is so annoyed that she charges him. "Do not underestimate me!" But even as she attacks Demon uses his wing to force her off before turning on her.
2- Lana'thel hisses at him, her tail flickering behind her before she knew what she had to do... flee. Taking to the skies as quickly as she could she ran away from him... she would plan her revenge though, there was no doubt about that!
3- Demon laughs at her reaction and steps forward, tail swaying menacingly behind him as he licked the blood from his fangs. "Delicious." He stated, "You're mine now Lana'thel. You will answer if I should ever call you. Now go worthless mare, before I change my mind about sparing your pathetic life..... know that I only do it for the satisfaction of knowing everyone will know I bested you!" His eyes darted towards the bite at that, it would scar... and gruesomely too if the wound was anything to go by.
4- Demon rolls his eyes. "You are all talk Lana'thel!" He hisses before slamming into her, she strikes out with her wing and they both go flying in opposite directions from the unspent memento.
