He couldn't help thinking like she kept something hidden from him. And today Fusion was determined to find out what exactly it was....
"Embri?" He called, nothing... he tried again, his voice a fierce growl as his fur felt brustled the wrong way. "EMBRI!"Hakidonmuya didn't know these lands well, everything was so new and the slight lick of freedom was strange but enjoyable. The trees looked different, the very leaves that hung upon them shaped differently to the ones from where he had once called home... he wondered what they were. He couldn't help but stop over and over again, looking at the birds and the small creatures that scurried around the forest. No one seemed brave enough to come close to him. He suspected he looked unusual to them.... he had not seen another of his kind outside of his little group in a while. Not surprising he supposed.
It was then he saw a small creature, with a purple coat and a strange trinket around it's neck. "Why hello." His accent made it sound more - whay hallow. The creature stopped, twitched it's ears but didn't say or move anywhere. Curious. Taking a chance he smiled and said; "Do not be afraid." He looked around, "I will not harm you... and nought else seems capable of such." He could almost scent her, she was a predator; small perhaps but a predator all the same. Interesting. What was she?

Fusion's aggression started to roar... why had the creature just poofed? Why had she just vanished into thin air? Where could she have gone? He had always known she was quick but this was ridiculous. He scented the air, perhaps there was something left that he could follow.
It didn't take him too long to find something, it was faint but enough to have his hooves eating up dirt as he took off after her.
Embri looked up at the stranger, she wasn't afraid, after all she was a fox. She grinned, showing her pearly whites before she finally spoke. "Hello... you are not from here? Are you?" She stepped towards him, her fit soft as she pawed towards him.
Haki was not surprised at the keen intellect he saw, or the words that fell upon his ears. If anything he had been expecting it. "Indeed. This is not the world I was brought up in." He smiled softly and bowed his head to show he was not a threat.
But then his ears twitched and he found himself picking up a thunderous sound heading towards him. He looked up and tried to decide the exactly location. He didn't say the words that floated around his head, We are about to have company.

Embri swished her tail on the ground; "Ohhhh..... " she chirped, "What are you then?" She started to walk around the stranger; he had strange talon like feet at the front, and feathers everywhere. "Are you part... bird?" She actually licked her lips subconsciously, she was getting hungry.
Hakidonmuya simple smiled at the strange little creature as she circled him, she was much smaller than him and he knew that if she tried to attack she would unlikely do much damage due to the protective scales on his front taloned feet, and the feathers on his rear would present her difficulties in getting a good grip.
"Bird?" The language was still so new to him and he frowned as he tried to figure out what she meant, unsure he simply answered; "I am afraid I do not know." He continued to smile, "I am a Hippogryph..... what are you?" Curiousity finally got the better of him as the words were tore from his throat.
He also wondered.... How do I get one of them?
Fusion was getting angry... why did Embri always have to do this! He thundered through the trees, and then suddenly stopped. He heard.... Embri's voice! But it wasn't before him.... it was.... to the left! He flashed his fangs and only just resisted growling as himself as he turned and headed towards her.
She would not get away.... not this time.... he just had to know where she went!
What he saw suprised the hell out of him! "What in the world..." He growled as he saw Embri and some strange creature.... Embri was circling. His instincts flared as he stormed forward through the bushes. "Harm a hair on her head and I will have yours...." He said as he lowered his head and narrowed his eyes.
He started to access the situation, planning an attack if became needed.

Embri flicked her tail again, "I am a Fox...." She flashed her grin, just as she heard hooves approaching, she turned and instantly relaxed when the figure became clear... it was Fusion, he would never harm her, she trusted him.
Haki blinked, he didn't know the word 'Fox' but it strangely suited the creature before him. Just as he was about to respond he found their little mutal conversation suddenly interupted. Haki turned towards the sound, and as a figure of purple came crashing through the trees towards them he automatically snapped his wings open... instinct took over, he had fought so much that he was getting fed up of it, he had hoped that would all be over now.... it seemed he was wrong.
As the strangers words slowly started to register he lowered his wings back tight towards his side. "Harm her?" He looked confused, he had made no attempt to harm anyone or anything... what would have given this strange should a strange notion? "I have made no attempt to do so. Nor do I..." He couldn't think of the word. So instead said, "want to." Surely there was a better word but he would simply have to make do with the one he had.
He looked towards the small 'Fox' and then to the new comer, they looked... similar. Related? Paired? How was that possible? Haki's features showed all of his confusion as he tried to figure out what was going on.
Fusion was prepared to attack as he saw the aggressive posture of his opponant... but that changed quickly, going from aggressive to passive in a blink of eye. Confusion was mirrored in his own face; why was he not going to attack... or was it a trick?
Then the accent struck him as odd, as well as the words he spoke. He wasn't from here; or at least Fusion suspected that was the case. Lowering his offensive posture slightly he walked towards Embri, glared at her for a moment and then faced the stranger once more. "Fusion." He nodded to Embri, "Embri."
He looked around, wondering if there were more of the stranger's kind around; "What are you doing here? We don't get..... strangers..." He selected the word carefully, "...often."
Using his rear hoof he pushed Embri between his legs, not wanting the swift creature to take off again without warning.... Fusion was fed up of chasing her around in the dark... he wanted answers that only she could give him.

Embri wiggled her nose curiously but remained by Fusion's side. "He didn't." She said, trying to defuse some of Fusion's anger as she turned and looked up at him. Innocence swirled in her eyes.
Haki blinked at the strange words, but sure he could see how he would be considered a 'stranger' creature, he was new to these lands after all, still learning the language, the culture and customs.... it was very different from what he was used to! He had already noticed how casual touch was passed around, and since he had never touched someone simply because he wanted to it felt wierd to him. Sure, he had caught someone from falling. Had passed things over to others and had their claws briefly touch... but that was all instinctive and accidently, he had never purposefully attempt to hold someone, kiss them, hug them.... and to be honest the thought made him slightly nervous. Would he even be any good at it?
Realising he had been given names.... Fusion... Embri.... bough strange to his tongue he smiled and offered his own, "Hakidonmuya." His grin widened, he had yet to find someone who could say his full name, most just called him; "Haki. Call me Haki." It was similar for all those involved. His name meant 'time of the waiting moon' something that his mother had granted him based on the phase of the Moon when he was born.
Fusion rose and eyebrow at the stranger, having no idea how to take in his appearance and attitude... he looked like a bird, different shades of blue, brown and silver making him appear stranger, especially combined with feathered hair and tail, clawed hooves with scales? Yep. Fusion didn't like this at all. His wolfen tail flicked from side to side. The charms on his collar jingled around his neck.
"Embri." He said, not replying to 'Haki-whatever's' gift of a name. Fusion didn't plan to linger long enough to put it to much use. He risked lowering his gaze to his little Fox. What had she been doing with such a creature? "Don't do that to me again! I was afraid you had...." He bit back the words, unable to say them in private let alone in company. He narrowed his eyes at her for a moment, checking again that she was ok.
Satisfied for now he turned his attention back to the stranger. "Haki.... you should get out of here. I don't want to have to harm you for being on my land." Big words. None of them completely true. Sure he lurked and roamed around this forest but it was far from his, Fusion knew of much bigger and badder creatures that called this very forest home.

Embri rolled her eyes, typical male... always trying to dominate her, she would submit... for now... but she would show him later it was because she wanted too and not because she had to.
Haki cocked his head to the side trying to figure out what the strange purple stallion with a tail and mane that seemed to be made of fire was trying to say to him. Confusion ruffled his brow as he found himself saying; "Your land?" He had never heard the word 'land' before... Forest, sure; Tree, sure; but Land no.
He turned his attention from the angered beast back towards the creature who had announced she was a 'Fox'. "How do I get one?" He wondered, not realising he had said those words outloud.
Fusion's blinked at the stallion. Was he trying to purposefully annoy him into a fight? Or was he just that clueless? Fusion didn't know, nor did he get much time to think about it before he noticed the bird-creatures focus turning towards Embri again..... oh he wanted to strip her hide for this!
His anger flared again as the words reached him. Instincts flared to life, and he lowered his head in a rush, picking up his familar by the scruff of her neck and flinging her onto his back. "MINE!" He growled, his gaze turning with deadly purpose and focus, so much so he hadn't actually listened to Haki's actual words. Rather than... 'How do i get one? He had heard 'How do I make her mine?'
Fusion had always horded Embri, ever since they had met when he was a foal... he could still remember taking her home to meet his family, he had been so scared that his mother would forbid him from keeping her, or that one of his brothers would suceed in stealing her from him.... in his eyes Fusion's brothers had everything! Looks, wings, grace.... he was nothing.... and the way he acted often made him simply appear as a larger wolf. Sure, he was fine with that now, had accepted his nature and his limitations for what they were... still... Embri was his! And if he had his way, she always would be. He had made a promise to her... to keep her safe, to ensure no one ever harmed her again, the scars upon her fragile body were a testiment to what she had lived through before him... but the idea of it happening again broke Fusion's heart.
