Danny was stomping down the hallway like something straight out of a movie. Almost at random, her arm would fling out sideways and a fireball would end up burning SOMETHING down. In reality, that just made more water for her tail to get pummeled with, which in turn just made her even angrier. It was a bit of a vicious cycle.
Sighing, Danny passed through a hallway near the cafeteria, one that was missing an entire wall. How much damage had Christmas DONE on the school?
Wait, there was someone out there! She couldn't quite recognize the figure ... but there was definitely someone out there. Danny started waving her arms and shouting. Anything to get their attention.

Alex had been shambling through the snow slowly, the wintery cold not bothering him in the slightest. He had quite a collection of snow resting on his shoulders, behind his neck and on the back of his head as he was slouched forward and looking down. He had been brooding sullenly about Yin's behavior back in the monster dorms, wondering if he'd just lost one of the closest friends he'd made at the school.
He didn't have any particular destination in mind, though he had a passing thought that being outside might not be such a good idea, since he'd been under attack out there once before, and then again when they were in the Reaper dorms. That one had come from outside too, hadn't it? He wasn't entirely sure at the time because he'd been behind Yin and still in that Reaper boils bedroom. But there had been broken glass everywhere.
Eventually he noticed that he was just retracing his past steps back up to the school, and could see the shape of it's walls looming from behind a curtain of falling snow.
Or a lack thereof of walls.
Was that like that before he'd left? He stopped and eyed it apprehensively. Wait..what was that light inside the school? Was it another enemy waiting for him to wander in? He took a few more hesitant steps forward, eyes narrowed, trying to make out the shape. It looked like it was...waving at him? Oh, and it was shouting something too! Danger ahead perhaps? Danger behind him? Either way he thought he should investigate in case somebody was in trouble and continued on, albeit a little unwillingly.
It wasn't until he'd stepped through the area where the wall had once been, and was out of the blinding white snow, that he could see who it was.
"D--D--Danny??" He stammered, then backed away from her a bit, eyes darting frantically to her tail and then back to her face.
Oh no oh no oh no, fire fire fire... His brain was on repeat

Danny's head tilted in confusion as she saw the figure loom closer. She knew that ... rotting flesh, and the hair. It was really familiar. She felt like she had just seen it recently even...
When the boil spoke, that's when it hit her. This was the same zomboil that had fought against the mimic with her. The one that had freaked out about her tail, and ... aughhhh.
"Oh. It's you," Danny said, a tad sadly. Was it rude that she wasn't ecstatic to see him? Normally she would've been all over him like a vine on a pumpkin, but ... Well one, he would probably freak out, and two, she wasn't feeling too hot herself (both puns entirely intended).

Alex had nearly stumbled and fallen backwards out in the snow in his haste to back away from the fire demon, but he somehow managed to stay upright. When she spoke he could hear the sadness in her voice. Was she disappointed to see him? Probably. Nobody seemed to want to be around him right now.
Slowly he forced himself to move forward and closer to her, eyes flickering towards her tail quite a lot but almost of their own accord. He couldn't seem to stop looking at it. He coughed out a laugh, nervously.
"Uh, ya. Just me...Were you hoping for somebody else? Where's that Reaper boil you were with before?" He spared a quick glance around, expecting the grumpy Reaper to appear at any moment, then looked back to the demon. If he could just keep his eyes on her face, and not look at her tail, he just might be alright...though he had to struggle not to let his eyes wander back down again.

Danny threw a long glance at the ground, eyes clearly focused elsewhere. She was doing the same avoiding glance as the boil opposite her. Trying to focus on one thing, and looking at another thing entirely.
"No, I wasn't hoping for him," she spat, clearly upset, "He can just stay in his room and BE STUPID." Out of impulse, she slammed the wall with a fiery fist, the sound ricocheting off the walls and rebounding, filling the wayward hallway. She glanced out into the snow and shivered. Part of her wished she hadn't left the sweatshirt behind.
"Oh shoot," she said, realizing her error, "I'm sorry. Well no, I'm not sorry, just feel bad that you don't like fire and stuff." Her words were always a bit confusing anyways. She just meant she didn't mean to scare the boil. She'd had enough of the "wtj are you doing" face.

Oh. Her and the Reaper boil were having a bit of a fight, perhaps? That would account for her earlier sadness, though Alex may have just grasped ahold of that to make himself feel better. He winced away though when she punched at the wall with a fiery fist, eyes closing tight and his head turning away with one arm up as though to shield his face.
When she (sortof) apologized he slowly lowered his arm and opened his eyes, returning his pale gaze to her, and shrugging. "It's..uhh, not your fault?" he supplied with a forced smile that didn't reach his eyes. Trying to squash his own silly and inexplicable fears, he steeled himself and took a few more steps towards her. "See, I can handle it, anyways! No problem!"
His smile was beginning to look more like a grimace of pain.
"So..you and that boil..you got into a fight?" He wasn't sure why he was asking, maybe to just try and ease the tension? "I think Yin's mad at me." He blurted out, suddenly, as though that would make her feel better.

If Alex was trying to ease the tension, it wasn't working. "YEAH WE DID," she shouted down the corridors, towards Rikki's dorm. "'CAUSE HE IS BIG AND STUPID AND LAZY-"
Danny sighed, plopping herself onto the ground, obviously tired from all the effort she was exerting. She didn't even look for a place nice enough to sit. Just threw herself down. "Why's Yin mad at you?" she said, with obvious suspicion. Yin didn't really get mad. Just mopey. If Alex had done something that made Yin mad ... what did he do ...?

Alex couldn't help himself. Despite being incredibly nervous around the demon ghoul, when she began shouting down the hallway as though the Reaper would be able to hear her (and maybe he could, who knows?) he had to grin. Taking her lead, he very slowly but clumsily eased his way down the the floor as well. With his knees up he hugged them against his bare and glittery chest with one arm while the other hung at his side.
"Well I'm not too sure, actually. I think I may have offended him somehow by holding a door open for him...and then picking him off of the ground when he got buried in snow and helping him walk, and then asking if he needed me to carry him to his room..." He shrugged, while frowning hard at the floor. "He was.." He paused glancing up at Danny with a strange look on his face " He was shedding skin everywhere, and then he went into his natural form. That was kindof cool but he seemed very angry with me over something. I..I was kindof worried for a moment that he might try to eat me." He shuddered a little at the thought, but he was very obviously at a loss for exactly why the weremantis would have been so upset.
He wasn't really sure why he was talking so much. Possibly it was just an easy way to distract himself from being so hazardously close to a very flammable demon.

Danny wanted to reach out and pull on the zombie boil's weird bone feet, but she figured that would be rude. Well no, her hand still stretched out, but she at least recoiled it. She had learned a bit of seriousness from Amityville. A bit. Not a lot, but a bit.
The ghoul tried to pay attention to Alex's story, she really did, but it was just so hard when she was focused on her own problems. Call it selfish, but Danny was preoccupied with her own spinning mind. All she said was, "Sorry, I've never seen him do that." Normally she'd be happier, more animated, but this was just too upsetting for her.
Not even giving a response to his prompt, she coldly continued with her own half, saying, "Rikki doesn't believe me." Stupid stupid stu- "He's just in his room, not doing anything." She wrapped her arms around her legs and put her head on her knees, "A-and he didn't come with me when I left." Her frown was decreasing rapidly.

Alex caught the movement that Danny made towards his foot and had to fight the urge to pull his foot away as quickly as possible. He didn't want to hurt her feelings so he sat stone still, terrified, but at least not running away from her screaming. In the end she pulled her hand away and he relaxed visibly.
He nodded slowly at Danny. It was obvious something was on her mind and she wasn't really paying much attention to what he was telling her. When she began to continue about the Reaper boil, Alex made a bit of a face. He was wholly unequipped to deal with a ghouls heartache issues, and wasn't sure how to proceed. If he wasn't so scared of bursting into flames, he might have scooted closer and put his arm around her in an attempt to comfort....but that was just completely out of the question.
"Well...maybe he's just worried about you and thought if he refused to leave you might stay with him?" He shrugged, feeling terribly awkward at that very moment.

"He's not worried about me," she said promptly. After all, if he was worried, he would've gone with her. He wouldn'tve just LEFT HER in the JACKING SNOW. Danny sighed and continued, "He's just worried about himself." She bit her lip in anxiousness.
She realized she was probably being pretty negative. It seemed like no one was happy right now. Well then again, who would be? Halloween had turned into Christmas, things were attacking, and- the kicker of course- it was snowing everywhere. It was hard to stay positive, but Danny did have one strength.
Absolutely idiocy. "Hey, hey!" she said, a bit more upbeat than her previous sentences, "Maybe we'll see Sandy Claws!!" She was wiggling now. Sandy Claws met Jack! Maybe he would come visit!

"Or he's just stubborn, as most boils are." He gave Danny a sidelong look.
She really was kindof adorable, but incredibly ditzy. Wait..what was she going on about now? Meeting Sandy Claws?? He had to try incredibly hard to keep a straight face as he nodded and said, "Yaaaaahh, maaaybeee..."
It was getting easier and easier, as he sat here across from her, to keep himself from looking at her tail. He just had to hope she wouldn't start pummeling things with flaming fists again.
"Oh, I don't know if you've seen it yet, but uhhh...don't go to the cafeteria. Theres a big horrible smelling pile of christmas goo in there."

"What?" Danny said with disbelief, "Christmas ... goo?" Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she tried to puzzle through it. So Christmas had even gotten all the way down there?
Danny's frown returned. Was there anything Edel wouldn't do?

"Yep, goo!" he laughed, though it was a very nervous laugh, on the verge of hysterical. Uh-oh, somebody was starting to break down a little.. "Though...I didn't really stick around very long to look at it closely...." He shifted a little, uncomfortably. Danny was frowning. Did that mean she was going to burst into flames? He really, really, hoped not. It was taking a lot of his control (though less and less the longer they sat without her doing anything to freak him out) to stay as close to her as he was, though he was still more then several -long- feet away from her.
He'd had an incredibly nerve wracking day, starting with the play, moving on to being incredibly sick, then being attacked in the snow, then running into a fire demon, then being attacked again in the Reaper dorms. Over all that, he had been worried about the closest friend he had made at the school thus far...and that friend suddenly didn't want him around, and wasn't very nice about it, either.
And now back to the fire demon. Alex was so incredibly on edge it was unbelievable, though he tried to hide it as best as he could. But the longer they sat, and the more he brooded about the days events, the more anxious and overwhelmed he began to feel. Maybe he aught to just go back to his own dorm until this was all over. Maybe Yin and that Reaper boil had the right idea after all....

Danny was about to say something most likely meaningless, when another one of those annoying snow-rain-drops hit her lantern, jerking her into a little nervous spasm for about the eighth time during this conversation. In a fit of rage and frustration, she let out an angry, "RAGHHHHHH" followed by fireballs flying from either of her hands, melting the snow on the ledge right above her.
Of course, this only made matters worse as the water dropped down and landed both on her head and on her lantern, soaking her quite thoroughly. The slimy substance dripped down her head, and Danny started sniffling.
It was only then that she realized what she had done with the undead so close. "Oh Jack, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that- I mean you're probably angry and everything now but-"
