Through the cold, Riyo had still managed to tread through the city with a scarf wrapped around her neck and earmuffs shielding her poor ears. For her, navigating through town was like walking through a house with many different halls in rooms. She had been down every crevice in some shape or form.

Today was like many others. She had come to town for business papers, and stayed for some light shopping. Bad things usually happened at the maul, so generally if she could find a shop that sold what she needed on the strip, she avoided it at all costs. Besides, there was much more to see and smell. Moreover, it was a pleasant reprieve from the academy and all of the sniveling little jerks that ran around. She could be calm and not have to worry about someone trying to make nice with her... She thought.

With a warm black coffee in her hand, the ghoul walked out of the shop and simply held the cup for awhile, enjoying the warmth it offered. Where to next? Her tail swished in thought as she looked down both ways and pondered if she should simply go back to the academy.

Kettil wandered the streets wearing a nice large comfortable coat with nice soft fur-lining on the inside. Endzela took her usual perch on his shoulder as they just walked along with very little care of anything else other than making note of landmarks. Over there was a large door painted a garish orange color attached to a building it clashed with, over here was a bent lamppost, and here was a ghoul with a cup in her hands and a swishing tail.

...Wait a swishing tail? Fascinating. This required further inspection because he was certain this particular landmark was going to be on the move in a few moments.

He approached her with hands in his coat pockets and Endzela peering at the ghoul curiously. What was her summoner up to now? The Owl had no clue.

"Hey, I was wondering how well do you know the area around here?" Kettil asked with an amiable enough tone.

It seemed that just as Riyo raised her lips to the warm cup, somebody felt the need to address her. Seemed like things always went that way, didn't they? Soon as the ghoul thought she was safe, the strangers converged.

Shooting the boil a sideways glance, her gaze fell on his companion before slowly moving back to him. It was a pretty bird, she supposed. Though Riyo happened to enjoy birds in a different way. Without saying a word, the ghoul's red orbs narrowed on the stranger as she pondered how to answer. She could lie, but that would deny her the chance of bragging about how well she knew the city. This poor schmuck was probably just looking for a specific building anyways. "Like the back of my hand." She mumbled, finally taking a sip of her drink. "Why?" Still, the ghoul remained on her toes. Had to be cautious of everyone around here anymore.

There seemed to be something about this ghoul that seemed to beg 'mess with me'. Kettil was a mischief maker - within reason of course. Once the ghoul confirmed she knew the area 'like the back of her hand' he just grinned and nodded, "That so? That's a good thing! So what else do you know that well?"

It was now getting into Kettil's favorite game. The question game.

He will ask the ghoul questions and will even go as far as following her to get her to talk to him and answer questions. Naturally he had plans if she decided to ignore him entirely.

Endzela uttered a soft sigh, she couldn't believe she was attached to such a troublemaker.

Riyo's brow furrowed as her question was met with another question instead of an answer. Oh no. one of these guys. Not the first one she'd met, and unfortunately he probably wouldn't be the last. "I know many things. Like I know you're probably just asking me questions to annoy me." The last few words had a sneer added to them. Maybe he would leave her alone if she 'accidentally' threw this coffee in his face.

Taking a glance at the 'invisible watch' on her wrist, the ghoul sighed and looked at him. "Oh, would you look at the time. I must be going before you bombard me with unimportant questions."

With that, she turned on her heel and tried to make her way back to school. Hopefully he would catch a hint.

... But probably not.

This one was quick. He could appreciate a fine, fine wit such as hers. Even if it seemed like she constantly had a bee hidden up under her hat and was irritated about it for no reason at all. Chances were coffee in his face or not he'd probably still pester her just a lot worse and with intention to get revenge.

He watched her as she observed an invisible watch upon her wrist and just cocked his head to the side. Kettil caught the hint but he decided to disobey, "Aww, but Gáatu', we were just starting to become the best of friends!" He trailed after her.

Endzela leaned and nipped at his hear, "You should leave her be, she obviously doesn't want us."

Kettil ignored the wisdom of his familiar and kept following.

"What did you just call me?" The feline asked, sending a glare back in the way of the reaper. "My name is Riyo. Not... Whatever you just said." Oh. Wait. ********. As per usual, the feline didn't realize her folly until it had escaped her mouth. "I mean... My name is Juan Carlos Ortega Junior." How was that for a fast fix attempt?

Continuing on, Riyo's head turned forward and she picked up the pace. "You should listen to your parrot!" Yes, she knew it wasn't a parrot, but that wouldn't stop her from finding some deterrent if she could. "I'm in no mood to try and 'make friends'." Was she ever? Really.

In an attempt to lose him, the ghoul turned a sharp corner down an alley and leapt up one of the side ladders that would take her to the roof. When she said she knew the city well, she wasn't kidding.

"Oh, alright Juan," Kettil grinned a bit as he watched her, "I just called you a cat is all, not particularly interestin' I know but that is what I called you," he said simply as he just followed along idly it was like out of some sort of cartoon where a skunk just leisurely chases after a cat that doesn't want his attention.

Only this won't end up with forceful smoochings and hugs, hopefully.

Kettil pouted a bit as she said she didn't want to make friends, "But we are destined to be frie--," and then she seemed to turn a corner suddenly he just smiled a bit, "Follow her Endy," he said simply.

"But she doesn't want to make friends, she said so," The Owl said pointedly and he just shrugged at the avian and made a shooing motion with his hands.

With a deep sigh Endzela took wing and went to discreetly follow 'Juan'.
