Circe was hobbling tiredly towards her dorm room door when she noticed that there was a package propped up against her door. Tilting her head and scrunching up her nose she crept closer. "What.... Is this?" She asked, taking the package in one of her hands. As she began to open the box and sweet and familiar smell filled her nose. "Donuts!" She exclaimed excitedly, now tearing the box to pieces. When the contents of the box were finally revealed a smiled grew on her features. Deciding it wouldn't hurt to waste more time going to bed she quickly sat down on the floor in the middle of the floor and began to eat her delicious pastries. It was probably not proper at all for her to be eating in the middle of the hall and at such a late hour, but proper wasn't exactly her style.
Once she had downed half of the dounts she picked up the box shreds and looked at who the sender was. Smiling once more and tears pooling in her eyes she flattened out the piece of shredded box. "Thanks dad." She said simply to herself as she liked some of her fingers.
Circe then rested her head up against her door and looked down at her donuts. It was no doubt that she would probably finish them tonight but the shear thought that her fathers present to her was almost gone left her feeling a bit sad. She hadn't realized until now just how lonely she was and how much she had missed her parents. It seemed like forever ago that she left home and came to this school hoping to find friends and maybe even herself. Thus far the school yielded few friends, in fact, she had more enemies than anything. Although, she did have at least two friends. I can get by with just them. She thought to herself with a tinge of sadness. This was manageable. She would one day make friends with the whole school. At least that was her hope--her dream.

"Are you lost?"
Vaith was strolling through the dorms, looking for a friend. But unfortunately, the friend had been out, leaving Vaith to knock on his door for a good long hour. Personally, Vaith had thought they were just avoiding him to sleep but after an hour of ruckus, much too long for a sleeping person to ignore, Vaith decided he'd try again tonight. At some indecent hour, of course!
"Lunch outside in the hallway? Sounds fun." Vaith assumed the box was a bento box of some sort, his arms crossed as he walked through the hallway. Lunch sounded good right now, the reaper left his dormroom, forgetting to eat. Forgetting.. He mildly reflected that memory was temperamental concept.
Ooh. It was a ghoul. Nice.

As Circe sat there, shoving another donut in her mouth she found herself coming face to face with a rather cute boil with blonde hair. With a donut in her mouth and cheeks puffed up, Circe shook her head at the boils question. When her mouth was cleared she held up her box of donuts. "It's donuts but, to me it might as well be lunch." She said with a smile.
Sitting silently for a moment she took in the boils appearance. He was rather handsome in her opinion, certainly a treat to a horrible day. "My name's Circe, this is my room." She added, touching the door behind her with the fingertips on her right hand. Putting her hand back down on the carpet next to her she tilted her head slightly. "What's your name? Is your room close by?" She asked with a bit of a flirty tone.

"Whatever works for lunch. A bad of chips can be called lunch-- as long as it fills your stomach, right?" Vaith reasoned, mentally connected that if this girl was standing in front of a dorm door, it meant that she was a reaper as well.
"Hi Circe. I'm Vaith." He lifted a hand to wave a late greeting, leaning against the wall temporarily, as he dipped one hand into his pocket to check for his keys. "My room's on a different floor, so not close enough." Vaith answered with a purposeful reluctance, confirming the jingle of pins in his pocket. "What's a ghoul doing, crying over a box of donuts in the hallway? You dont look like you hated it."

"You have a point." She responded with a bigger smile. "Nice to meet you Vaith." Circe's eyebrows furrowed together a bit as he reached into his pocket until she heard his keys jingle. "Do you forget you're keys too?" Circe giggled. Did he just say his room wasn't close enough to her's? Yes, yes he had.
Shifting herself so that she was sitting up a bit more, she put her legs down in a crisscrossed fashion. Her forearms resting on her thighs. "I wasn't crying over the donuts." She replied, a bit shocked he had noticed she had actually been crying. Circe bit at the inside of her cheek as she thought how to best respond to his question. "I--I was crying because they were a present from my father. And I realized--." She stopped herself, feeling tears begin to fill her eyes once more.
Realized I was completely and utterly alone? Circe thought to herself. No, probably best not to say that. She took in a deep breath in an attempt to gather herself. Her eyes closing as she did so, then opening when she was finished. Her eyes looked into Vaith's. "You're helping though."

"Of course, I'd never do something stupid like forgetting my keys. Except on a weekly basis-- and then I'd just send my familiar into my room to get it." Vaith shook his head, apparently having just done that weekly incident in some very recent times. Like yesterday. Best party he had this week.
He was surprised. She wasn't crying over the doughnuts? Damn, well that guess went completely out of the window. Now that he thought about it, it had been a silly inference, lacking severe thought for foundation. But he couldn't imagine what ghouls cried over.
"-- they were a present from my father. And I realized--."
"Oh. Oh, I see."
He nodded thoughtfully, nodding in agreement to some apparent obvious common conclusion between the both of them.
"...You're homesick. To tell you the truth, I dont really miss my home. But I guess I should spare some time to think about it. But Amityville keeps you so busy, you barely even have time to remember it." A hand reached out to pat the other's shoulder lightly, his knuckles brushing against her orange top, in a gesture to cheer her up. "Don't worry, it'll be break in no time and you can visit your parents then. Then, they'll give you a ton of doughnuts. It'll be an all-you-can-eat festival!"

The boils response caused her to smile a bit more. She was really glad to hear she wasn't the only one who did it. Though, she didn't have anything to send into her room to get her keys if she left them in there. Right now she admired the Reaper boil for having something like that.
You're homesick. She actually hadn't considered that, that was the case. But now that he said it, it was true. She was homesick. She missed her family and longed for them. But even more so then that she longed for someone, anyone that she could be friends with. Currently she had none and this certainly didn't help boost her mood.
When Vaith reached out and patted her shoulder tears welled up in her eyes once more but luckily didn't fall. "Thank you." She muttered just loud enough for him to hear. "It's--It's not just being homesick." Circe admitted. "Since coming here I haven't made a single friend. In fact, I seem to be better at making enemies." The ghoul frowned at this, clearly she hated this fact. She might have hated admitting it a bit more. But she told the truth no matter what.
"I hope you're right." Circe looked at the boil. "I hope I'm so busy that I don't have time to think. Barely sleeping would be nice too." She said, hoping he knew exactly what she meant when she had said that.

"Wait, you dont have friends? I thought the instantly-saying-hi-on-the-spot automatically made us friends. If that's not the requirement, then this whole ghoul-comforting thing's gotta make us friends." Vaith grinned, digging out a yellow cloth from his pocket. He handed it to Circe, in the case she started tearing up again.
His grin widened as Circe's -- what he took, as a blatant offer. "There's a lot of committed boils in this school. There's even more available ones .. and there are some uncommitted ones like me. be careful what you ask for." Vaith patted her shoulder, straightening his back.

Circe just gently shook her head before she took the yellow cloth the boil offered, flashing him just a small smile. "You want to be my friend?" Circe asked, almost allowing the tears to slip down her cheeks. And then the boil mentioned other boils. Available and unavailable one's. And the inbetween one's. That needless to say made her laugh a little and the tears did indeed being to fall again. However this time she was happily crying.
"Well I'm not sure what category I fit into anyways." Even though it wasn't quite a flirtatious move it was certainly at least a joke. Well sort of. She really didn't know what category she fit into. Despite being a huge flirt she actually hadn't ever had a boilfriend. Nor had she ever done anything with a boil. "Thank you." She said as the tears finally came to a halt and she rubbed her face with the cloth. "I feel a lot better."
