So as I was reading The Faery Teachings by Orion Foxwood the author in the first chapter says that there are 4 questions that are the essential questions all humans seek to answer. He said that by asking ourselves these questions before we start reading and seeking a path it will help us know where we already are.
1: Who am I?
2: What is it (God, creator, force, ect)?
3: Why am I here/Why do I exist?
4: What happens when we die?
So from one seeker to another I ask you these questions.

1. God/dess, the Dryghten. A small piece of it, but containing all, just with some characteristics emphasized more than others. And currently existing in an imperfect state.
2. Existence.
3. Part of the process of God/dess/Dryghten's self-knowledge. I am the Illiezeulette characteristic of God experiencing itself and other parts, but currently am not doing a very good job of it.
4. No clue (: The Summerland-Reincarnation idea from generic NeoPaganism sounds really nice but I have no experiential gnosis to back it up. ):

I'm not seeking a path, I'm already on it, but I'll answer anyway smile
1: Who am I? I am me. That means the good and the bad. I must strive to understand my "darker half" and accept myself for who I am, all my vices and virtues. Rather than ignore the things I dislike about myself, I must understand and accept them. I must accept my past, no matter how much I might want to forget it. These are the things that make me, me.
2: What is it (God, creator, force, ect)? To me, divinity is in all of us. While I'm a hard polytheist, believing each god is separate and unique, I believe there is a "divine power" in all of us.
3: Why am I here/Why do I exist? To live and experience life however I see fit in order to gain spiritual enlightenment for our true souls.
4: What happens when we die? I believe in reincarnation. I believe that we each have a "true soul." I believe that each life is lived to gain experience and knowledge and that when our true soul "learns" enough, it becomes enlightened and passes into an afterlife.

I'm surprised you have such simple answers for these questions. My own answers are probably going to reveal a lot more to me than I expect.

Just because we put it simply doesn't mean the actual answers themselves are simple. Most of the answers are somewhat difficult to put into words or answering the questions in full would reveal more information about my beliefs/practices than I care to share with people.

I think they're fairly simple questions. I mean unless you're just starting out, you should have a fair idea of what you believe for each one and they're pretty basic, short questions to answer - unless you answer them with another question to get more information regarding what sort of answer they are looking for, and particularly since as Arleeana said, much of it can't be answered in words so you're filtering it down anyway.

Yep. Fairly simple to answer if you break it down. But, if people are wanting more complex answers, it's going to be much harder to put into words, especially when typing.

I'm sure those questions will help you learn if you haven't all ready, what you think so far. However for many seekers many of these questions is undoubtedly going to be answered with, "i donno."
When I was starting out, I took the simple folk magic my mom had taught me, and started studying things that interested me.
Witches Sigl. Very neat. Runes, Ograhm fews, also interesting. Seeing into crystals, divination. All though I've made it a rule to spend at least 3 months diving into each of these and recording (by hand and electronically) findings that I think are good.
I have to admit, the idea to curse someone and cause them pain highly appealed to me when I first realized that I could access the internet without parental supervision. However, I've had to live with reprocussions of this and wish there had been someone there to tell me, don't do it because it comes back to you.
Then I started researching and collecting information about elements, spirits, divine beings, and energy faiths, and tools like Chakra and your own body as an alter/temple. (I'm still learning about everything)
Have I used all of this information yet and tested it out? Of course not. But by collecting information like this, I have at my disposal, my own arsenal of ways to banish bad spirits from houses, bad energies, how to bring money into my life, love too. Most importantly it taught me my creed, which is what I believe. And that can't be read from a book, or from someone else telling you, it has to be experienced. You learn it with time.
The best advise I can give any seeker, is study your a** off, and know about what you are doing, what the effects will be similar to, before you start.
Just learn at your own pace, what interests you. If you feel content with plants, explore more there, if curses or animals interest you, go there first. Divination is a great tool to learn, in all its forms. Do what you want to do.
Brightest blessings.

The answer "I dunno" when it comes to these questions is a cop out. I can answer I don't know who deity is, why I exist, and what happens when we die and the answer would be true as we don't know. However the thing is we do have ideas The question isnt more about "knowing" for sure but exploring your own ideas.
Frankly yes it is difficult to put these ideas into words. However if we don't attempt to put them into words we can never find what are really "our views" and "our knowledge" and what we are simply reciting from what others have said before. It's not going to be comfortable to answer these questions, and in reality they typically delve into deeper questions.
The important thing is to start. That's why "I don't know" in my view is a cop out. It's an easy answer. Its an answer that requires no additional thought. I often answer "I don't know" but I often add "My thoughts are...".

I dont see them as simple questions though. When I look at the questions I am thinking at a Babylon 5 Episode where Dalen was asked "Who are you". The simple answer was "I am..." and she got shocked every time she gave the basic answer you would expect when given that question because it was not "The answer". Thats why to me these questions while simple in nature are actually quite complex and deep.

So from one seeker to another I ask you these questions. 1. An imperfect whole greater than the sum of its parts. 2. Existence, Reality, a woven tapestry of intent and contradiction incorporating everything there is and is not. 3. I'm here to experience. I exist because that was the eventuality set in motion at the Beginning (if anything ever really begins). 4. When we die we lose corporeal form. We live on in our deeds and words and in the memories of others but possibly we live on in more literal terms. An unknown end seems appropriate enough for an unknown beginning. If we knew with certainty how it ended there wouldn't be much urgency or impetus to the whole thing. Give me six months and I'll probably have four new answers for you.

Depends what you're talking about. You'd have to ask what "it" they were talking about, and then it would be fairly simple to answer depending on subject. Ditto "Who are you". If you don't know, fine. Many people don't. If you do it's easy as hell, but still might not be something you can explain in words. If you don't know thyself, get the heck outta Delphi, y'know?

This is exactly why I stated that I'm not seeking my path, that I'm already well established on it. For some of us, the questions are simple to answer. Obviously, I did so with fair ease. If you want more complex answers, it's not going to happen. Certain things cannot be explained, only experienced. My entire path is based around understanding and accepting myself and the divinity around and within in me. So, questions like this are pretty easy for me to answer on a basic level.

1: Who am I? I'm a living human being learning new things and abilities I possess.
2: What is it (God, creator, force, ect)? Gods and Goddesses
3: Why am I here/Why do I exist? I am here to learn from my mistakes and learn more about the world around me.
4: What happens when we die? We are reincarnated until we learn all that we need to know.
Why am I here? Why I am deciding to pursue this path and what is it exactly that I want to get out of it? I am here because the occult has always called out to me even when I try to leave I always come back. I decided to pursue this path because I'm always attracted to the supernatural and such l love learning new things such as this witchcraft even though it's not like it is in the tv and movies there is something about it I want to learn more about it. I don't want to be Christian I always go back because I'm scared but there are people considering the bible they would be sentenced to hell good people I know in every religion there is something you wont always agree with but I know atheist who are good people gay people are good but they would go to hell some of them are fighting for this country and are denied basic rights because the constitution was based on the bible and they are ignored their rights just because I believe in the supernatural witchcraft there is a chance I might go to hell too but I'd rather go with those good people who don't exactly believe in God who are still kind to others and are different because they are attracted to the same sex then so be it.
