Kishi had ventured the rogue lands for some time now and as each season past the more she felt uncomfortable as well as lonely. It seemed while in Rogue's it was every feline or canine for themselves, and that was not how Kishi felt it so be. Team work and togetherness was the way she wanted things. A pride was more her style, one that encourage support and family. That was one of the reason why she was headed to the supposed Pride Lands. She had talked to many on her journey and they all spoke of great things in the Pride Lands...which made her wonder why those that spoke of said land weren't appart of it? But then again pride life wasn't for all Kishi supposed.
She gathered the rest of her things that lay neatly around her temporary cave home. Looking around to make all was with her before she whispered a fond fairwell. It had been a good home, it kept her dry during rainy days, warm when it was too cold to venture out, and protected from those that where hunting nearby.
It was time now to start her own adventure and create a place for herself among the Pride Lands, if they accepted her and she hoped they would. Looking back once she nodded and began to walk away from her home towards what she hope was the correct path.

Vikali sighed deeply as she walked slowly over the lands she'd grown up in, wondering briefly if Ukir had just been a figment of her imagination or something. She hadn't seen him since she'd screamed at him... since he'd shown up out of no where after all that time away from these lands... But what was it she was supposed to do besides yell? He'd completely broken her heart... but that didn't mean she'd wanted him to leave. In fact, after speaking to her son she realized just how much she missed Ukir's presence in her life. He'd changed her, for the better.
The golden lioness made her way to the boarder of the lands, knowing full well it would be easiest to run into the red male while in this area. Of course... whenever she went looking for Ukir he wasn't about. And when she wanted to avoid him? Well usually he'd snuck up beside her at that point. And as she thought, even after what felt like ages she'd yet to see the male. She did, however, spot a brownish female in the distance. She seemed to be heading for the lands...
Her tail gave a flick and her eyes narrowed a little, though she wasn't all that suspicious. Just nosy. The pridelands were accepting to almost every lion or lioness that came upon them, even hybrids. Some things she would change about her home if she was in charge... but she assumed this was why the gods hadn't willed her into a position of power. She chuckled softly at the thought, just waiting for the other female to come closer.

Nearly half the day had gone by and Kishi had yet to run into another feline for help or to ask directions. Not only that her stomach was beginning to hurt from its emptiness. 'I wonder if the Pride Tribe would be welcoming as she had heard or if they would chase her off their lands.' Biting her lip at the last thought, she hoped not. Deep in thought Kishi almost missed the other female who seemed to be waiting for her in a seated position.
Blinking for a moment before smiling cutely she spoke in a friendly tone. "Hello there, I don't know if can you help me or not but I am wondering if I am headed in the right direction? I am looking for the Pride Lands. I do hope this is the right way, I've been walking around for some time now." Kishi eyed the brightly colored lioness with curiousity. She was such a lovely color, almost like the sun that shone currently in the sky.

It was probably a poor spot of luck for the stranger that she'd run into Vikali out of all of the pridelanders residing in the pride. In fact, Vikali herself had the decency to feel a little bad for the female. As the other tried to offer her a cute smile her brows drew down in annoyance. That may have worked on a foolish male, but what the hell could she do with that sort of smile? Certainly wasn't going to commit it to memory.
Her tail gave a flick at the other's question and she glanced slowly over her shoulder, her blue gaze taking in the rock that the pride was named after. Sure enough it was still in view, though it looked very small. "Well that's pride rock... but I'm not sure of this land part of it..." She stood, shaking off her pelt. Sarcasm was one of Vikali's strong suits.
Ah... but what if the girl had seen Ukir on her way here? Like... say if the red lion had been leaving again... Vi thought it was alright to be a little polite in this case. She cleared her throat and offered a more stern sort of smile. "Have you come to join these lands? Not surprising. A lot of lions do. I'm Vikali." Right, she could play nice if it meant digging out some information.

She watched as the other female frown at her and that almost made her tail droop in sadness. She was just trying to be friendly afterall, nothing wrong with that. ' Great, I hope they aren't all this welcoming...' She looked to the rock in which the other female indicated and blinked. How could she have missed that big rock? Huh, oh well. The main thing was she was here know and that was all that mattered. " Oh I see...thank you." She watched as the other female grimaced...or was that supposed to be a smile? Ah, smile. " Um, yes I have. I've wanted to be apart of a pride for most of my life. It is nice to meet you Vikali, I am Kishi. Are there any rules of not allowing strangers wander around the lands here without some sort of guard or accompaniment? I don't want to disturb you if you are busy with something else."

Vikali wondered what it was like to want to be somewhere for most of your life? She'd never thought about relocating to anywhere else, no other prides stuck her fancy... but she'd also never thought about if she actually enjoyed living her life in the pridelands or not. She'd raised two litters of cubs... oddly enough the fathers of the litters were brothers. Both were out of her life now though... except that Ukir had showed up again. She'd blown up on him... but how could she not of? She'd slowly let the thought of his words possibly being a joke... but it had been a very harsh joke. She'd also realized that she didn't want him to get away this time. She needed to tell him how she felt, but first she needed to find him.
"Kishi, right. No, it's fine to wander through the pridelands, as long as you pose no threat." She wagged her eyebrows at the other, making something of a joke perhaps. "I'm not busy." She sounded annoyed at that though, as if she wished she was busy with something. She hated how idle she always was! "I'm just looking for someone." But that topic suddenly felt awkward, especially mentioning she was looking for Ukir to a stranger.

" Oh that's good to know and no I pose no threat. I'm just wanting to start a new life among the pride is all." She eyed the other older lioness. Somehow... she looked sad in a way like something was missing. Kishi continued to listen as Vikali continued to speak." Oh wonderful! I would appreciate a mini tour or atleast told in which direction I need to venture to talk with the elders about joining."
"Someone you say? Maybe I can help I ran into a male and a female on my way here. Actually it was a male who lead me here, he was so handsome." She curled her tail at the thought of Prome and smiled softly at the fuzzy fellow. A frown replaced the smile when she thought of possibly never seeing him again... Hopefully she would run into him again.

She snorted in amusement as the other female declared she wasn't any threat. Vikali looked her over properly this time, and decided she could most definitely take the other in a fight. She said nothing though and just nodded, realizing that if she did speak up she might offend the other female. She had that effect on other lions.
She winced very slightly at the idea of having to actually show someone else around and then waved a paw vaguely toward the main watering holes of the land. "Water is that way." Then she gestured toward pride rock. "You can find royalty up on that rock. Both places are good to socialize." Or so she assumed, as she wasn't one to socialize often. In fact, outside of her family she knew... what? Koy. Koy's son. Ukir... Ukir.
And then Kishi gave Vikali... most disappointing news. She felt her heart crumple and her blood chill. Her brain felt like it was on fire, because immediately she jumped to the conclusion that the lion this female spoke of was Ukir. He'd said he'd been off to meet a new lioness, after all. It was basically a fact once Kishi mentioned he was a handsome lion, because to Vikali... who was more handsome than Ukir? He was strong with just enough plush chubbiness. His coat was a beautiful shade of red... and that silver mane! Sure, it looked gray in some lights... but full on in the sun that mane was sure to shine! Suoh had received that lovely mane... Suoh. He reminded Vi strongly of both her mother and Ukir. She cleared her throat, shaking her head slightly. "Ah... no. It was... a young lion. A friend of my son's, I've been meaning to ask him if he's had word of my son." The lie flowed beautifully over her lips, there was no doubt to anyone listening that this wasn't the truth.

Kishi snorted silently in amusement as Vikali showed her around via paw motion. "Oh I see, such a lovely place." She let her eye sight turn upward to the rock before smiling at the other female. " Wonderful! The rock is where I shall go and make myself known. Thank you so much for your help and greeting. I hope you find this young lion you are searching for...and oh! Before I forget. If you see a male lion with a yellow mane, tan body and brownish-red markings wandering around can you let him know I am here by the rock? He goes by the name of Prometheus, and I would dearly like to see him again." Kishi got up from her seated position and cheerfully held out her paw to shake. She didn't really consider this gesture as weird or a custom not done in pride but she had learned this while in the rogue lands.
" Well I am off to see if I will be accepted or not. I am sure I will see you around here? It would be nice to see a familiar face once in a while." Taking a deep breath of courage she nodded once and then began her journey towards the stoney area that would seal her future.

Ah, so this female could deal with sarcasm after all? That was always a plus in Vikali's book, as there was nothing better than a little banter back and forth. Didn't matter if it was a parent, sibling, friend or lover. Banter was fun! Though she wasn't sure how well she'd fare in the friends department. Her last friendship... ah, it'd been Koy. And look how that had turned out... she hadn't spoken with Koy in many, many moons. Her ears flickered as the female suddenly brought up another male, but Vikali was too dense to make the connection. He didn't sound exactly stereotypical to a pridelands male, but his colors fit in well. "Well, if I run into him." She mumbled, slightly awkward. Who was she to deny this lioness's request just because her own love was unrequited? It seemed to Vikali that this was what this was; another love story.
"I hope you run into him again." She added, politely enough. Her tail flicked as they continued walking, and the golden lioness could feel their meeting drawing to an end. Was Ukir really with another female? Each time the thought managed to wiggle it's way back into her brain it was like her heart was breaking all over again. "Er.." She paused at the other's obvious request of some sort of companionship and then finally nodded. "My den is that way." She motioned with her paw. "I'm not a fan of being too close to Pride Rock. You can usually find me in that area..." Her words felt foreign, she wasn't good at this friends thing. But, there was a second chance for everything, right? "Good luck Kishi." And with that Vikali was breaking away from the brown and cream female, heading for the watering holes. END
