Zar led the way from the library to the demon dorms, into the rather grand entryway and through the richly decorated interiors, with their expensive looking wood furniature and plush upholstered couches, to the gaudy gold decor everywhere. As he went his hooves squeaked on the floor, the lime green rubber soles he wore on his hooves for the very purpose of walking on just these type of floors visible to Nuru behind him. He didn't dwell long in the quiet corridors, quieter than the library even, but led the way straight to his dormitory lest he run into anyone who might actually question why he had a ghost with him. Because quite frankly he couldn't tell them if they did.
Unlocking his room door, he swung it open and ushered them both into his very..monochrome living space and closed the door behind them.
"Don't erm. Don't touch anything." he warned with a cringe "Without asking, I mean."

Nuru quietly wandered after Zar. Distractedly gawking at the ornate surroundings as they passed through. Hmmm. He wasn't used to such gaudy architecture. He wasn't sure if he liked it either. It just looked so... excessive to him.
Entering Zars dorm he was met with a similar feeling. All the furniture looked so big and expensive. Even if they were monochrome. The space didn't looked at all used for that matter which caused him an almost perceptible mental anguish. Worse yet... he was expected to ask before touching anything at all. What use was a dorm if you nor your guests can use it. The very concept soared right over the boils head.
"Why?" He asked, a lot more baffled by the concept than even that question let on.

Zar frowned. "Because this stuff is expensive. Because I'm sort of....picky about how things are. I have things arranged a certain way, and some people in the school in here would..mess the whole place up. Not..not that I think /you/ would or anything. I'm just..I don't normally let people into my personal space."
He wandered over to one of the leather chairs and sat down. "You can sit down though. Mainly just don't rearrange any papers, not that I think you would. Just.. just in case." In here he was much more the anxious wreck he was to most people, vulnerable by virtue of leaving so much of his personal possessions up for destruction on a whim.

"Why have it if you can't enjoy it?" He mused aloud but then started to vaguely get what Zar meant.
"Oh.. you mean your personal papers and not like... the floor, chair, bed?" He asked to clarify as he gravitated towards Zars nice fancy bed so he could sit across from Zar.

"I do enjoy it, a lot of things are nice to look at or just..have. Don't always have to scuff them all up to do it." He nodded. Yes, he had a lot of things that he had..just to have. Simply because possessing them, hoarding them was better than not.
He did however cringe at Nuru heading to the bed, but didn't say anything, he couldn't be bothered explaining he was picky about his bed to a degree too. He'd tolerate it. "Yes. The papers. I have them all how I like them"

Took a seat on the foot of Zars bed and smiled over at him. Facing him.
"So!" He decided to change the subject. "About this snack stash you were telling me about?"
He cuuurously looked around trying to overlook the majority of Zars things in search of anything vaguely food-shaped.

"Oh. Right. Yes." He had almost forgotten, getting to his hooves he wandered over to a large chest in the corner, fishing out a key from somewhere in the recesses of his jacket to unlock it, opening it for a rummage, the scents of food likely unmistakable to a canine sense of smell. He found what he was looking for in the form of a box he stowed in there, placing it carefully on the bed.
"Here. Some jerky, some sweets, all sorts of things. Must be something that you like. Help yourself."

Nuru perked his ears... well.. as perked as his ears got as he watched Zar with a keen interest. His nostrils indeed flaring as the scent of several things filled the air. His face lit up a bit. First, at the scent of delicious edibles... but then something in the chest caught his eye. He'd be certain to mention it later but for nowww~
There was food.
He sliiid the box across the bed spread towards himself and quickly coveted it into his lap. He turned his gaze back on Zar. Smiling gratefully at him.
"Thank you." Was all he said before flipping the box open and tucking right in. Obliterating the bat jerky first and foremost in his frenzy. Not really showing any regard that perhaps Zar wanted some of his own food, too.

Zar watched the boil munch through what was meant to last him the next week or so with a slightly resigned glum look. But he didn't actually speak up to stop him or anything like it, simply did what he did best, which was play the doormat of the situation. He wasn't particularly hungry anyway, the demon boil tended to subsist on the most meagre amounts of food at the best of times.
"You are welcome" he had to add though, closing the chest neatly and locking it again with all due haste before sitting on the bed himself. "Any good?"

Perked up from his meal, nodding before... veeeerry hesitantly offering Zar a piece with one hand while still shoveling the food in his own mouth with the other. His long furry tail shifting side to side across the bedspread while saaaavouring the magnificent tasting food. Perhaps he could go with the demon next time to "help" him shop. Perhaps...

Zar took the offered piece with minor surprise, he hadn't really expected the other boil to share, he seemed to have quuuuite the appetite. His own tail curled now and then behind him as he found his attention drawn to Nuru's.
"You have a tail." He stated, feeling like pointing out the bleedingly obvious. "I don't think I asked you what you actually are yet you know."

Nuru barely managed to perrrk one of his ears in curiosity at the question. Forcing himself to chew and swallow the bite he already had without taking another so he could reply.
"You didn't." He left a dramatic pause just to be a pain before smiling slightly.
"I'm a barghest." He said before piling more food in his mouth so he didn't give too much information. Zar apparently was interested about him. He intended to keep it that way.

Zar gave Nuru an utterly blank expectant look. He didn't even begin to know what a barghest was but it didn't sound particularly nice either. He wasn't too keen on having someone in his room who he had no idea about. What if barghests could read minds? Oh man that didn't even bear thinking about.
"I erm. I'm not sure what one of those is." he offered helplessly.

Nuru was mentally squealing. Zar took the bait. He took a few quiet moments to chew over his food and swallow again. This time "spilling his guts" so to speak.
"I'm pretty much a big black dog." He summarized while picking a bit of bat meat from his teeth with a fingernail. As soon as he got it he added, "Want to see?"
More than willing to show his true form, but only if the boil were actually interested in it.

Zar nodded. Yes he did want to see, even if it meant hair on his bed, he wanted a handle on what he was dealing with with the ghost boil in front of him. He doubted "big black dog" covered entirely what he was either. Otherwise he'd just be called a dog, not a barghest, right?
"Show me then."
