History|| Cale, as far as he knows, is the sole survivor of an attack on his home city when he was little. It should be noted that his home city was an underwater metropolis. You see, Cale is what's known as a Tideborn. Similar to their sister species, the Mermaids and Mermen, they differ in the ways that they do not have tails instead of legs, but rather scales hidden under skin and have fin-like ears. Not only that, they are capable of surviving on land as long as the temperature isn't exceedingly high. During this time, only Cale's skin is visible and his ears shrink in size to acommodate for the easier travelling sound. Although the attack was devastating, Cale was quick to let go of any memories there, travelling alone for years until he came across an island of interest. Needless to say, that island was home to Reeds, an academy famous even in the depths of the watery abyss. With little else to do in this world other than swim, Cale thought of this to be the perfect opportunity to learn more about the other species that share this world.
