Laurent stepped into the sunlight and smiled at Kaiako as he helped her up. He stood in a spot not viewable from the ground and unpacked his violin. tucking it beneath his chin, he took a breath and started playing a soft melody for her. He felt strange playing for a private audience, but being a professional he felt no pressure. The song came out smooth and colorful, he hoped Kaiko would realize it's true meaning.
