Nyyrikki pulled Danny into his room and pushed the door closed with a decisive snick. Only then did he allow himself to truly assess the cuts and bruises that littered her skin. More than one of those scrapes was from her friends, who couldn't even tell the real Danny from the mimic. "I'm going to go get a firstaid kit," he sighed, leaving her to make herself as comfortable in his dorm as he knew she would.
Moments later, he returned with the kit and began picking through it to find what he needed.

Why did Rikki look so ... well grumpy. Maybe he was just worried and he had a funny way of showing it? She wasn't sure how much she liked it. He announced his leave, giving Danny time to find a seat.
Danny sat down suicidally on his bed and began licking the cuts on her hand like a cat. What else was she supposed to do after all. Danny wasn't really "well-versed" in the ways of first aid. Her tongue moved over her crescent scar and she stopped almost as soon as she had started. Jacking Edel. Why'd she have to ruin Halloween. Danny always knew she was pure evil.
Rikki came back and she smiled, forgetting Edel for the moment, though it was still in the back of her head.

Rikki fumbled through the kit for a moment longer until his mind registered what she was doing. He paused and looked up, staring openly. "You lick your wounds?" Was that something all of her species did, or was it just a Danny thing? It didn't seem particularly clean to him, so no matter he answer he was going to clean every scrape until he was satisfied and then bandage the worse ones.
Taking out cleansing liquids to do just that, he poured some over his own arms haphazardly, hissing as it burned and bubbled, destroying the grim that had caked over during the battle. None of the cuts were gushing, but there was definitely a little oozing. He toweled his arms dry, dabbed his neck and cheeks, and then set to work on Danny. With her he was far more gentle, using small dabs of the liquid on a towel to wipe at the cuts one by one.

That stuff looked like it hurt. Like ... A LOT OF HURTING 8C
Like a little kid, Danny squirmed and let out a cascade of, "Nononononono"s. Most scarelings her age would probably bite through the pain or something. It was this thing called "maturity" and Danny severely lacked it. Even if Rikki was doing his best to be gentle, Danny was still acting like the spoiled demonness brat she was.
Part way through, she absently said, "I just bet this is all Edel's stupid doing..." She was staring off into space angrily. Why'd the ice demon have to ruin everything?
She looked down to find that Rikki had completed cleaning her cuts, and was happy to find her body looking a lot better. She still felt bad about the ripped sweatshirt, but she didn't want to take it off. It was her special present. Danny waited, anticipating some sort of bandaging as well. That's what Rosalie did anyways.

Rikki gritted his teeth, knowing she'd be fine no matter how much it stung. Still, he didn't like making her squirm and make those little unhappy noises. He finished as quickly as possible, clinging to her train of thought to keep her distracted.
"Why would Edel attack the reaper dorms?" Sure, she'd attacked Danny, but there was a difference between a focused, narrow target (or narrow-minded target, as the case might have been) and attacking and entire group of students. "Can she even make ice look like us like that thing did?"
He ran his hands over the now clean cuts and frowned. In the end, she only ended up with one band aid. The rest he left open to the air to clot and heal on their own, as they would in a short time. He pressed a soft kiss to the one band aid on the inside of her elbow and smiled up at her, all confidence and teenage boil. "All done."

"Well obviously," Danny began, clearly signifying she had no base for this argument, "Edel just wants to ruin everything for everyone. So she started by ruining Halloween." She finished matter-of-factly, like this was taken straight from Edel's imaginary blueprints.
She blushed a little bit with his oddly placed kiss, but she tried to pretend like it didn't phase her at all. Crossing her arms, she tried to hide the spot from any future kisses.
With one hand, she patted the bed next to her, motioning Rikki to sit. He looked kinda tired after all.

He stretched out next to her, made less impressive by his shortness, and chuckled. "Who would want to ruin Halloween? I don't think even Edel would go that far, Danny." But, he was quickly realizing it wasn't an argument that he was going to win.
He snuggled deeper into the warmth of his bed, wishing he were some kind of cat monster so he could purr his contentment. Why was he out battling monsters when he could be here, warm and sleeping? Sleep outweighed all other obligations. He could feel it's welcoming tendrils trying to pull him under even now, so soon after laying down.

"But Rikkiiiii," she whined, but it was already apparent that he wasn't paying attention. He was curling up and more focused on his pillow than he was her. Not that she noticed.
Sighing, she curled up next to him, clinging to a pillow so that she could angle herself over him. "Rikki you can't go to sleep," she said, flicking his forehead, "Bad Rikki."
From here, her eyes flitted towards the standardized dorm window. The snow was still falling gently outside, and Danny instinctively shivered. She could understand Rikki's desire to stay inside and sleep ... but ...
They couldn't just sit here! They had to go ... What did they have to do? Save Halloween? Fight Edel more? What exactly was she supposed to do?

Nyyrikki jerked at the small hurt on his forehead and frowned up at Danny, who had shifted to sort of lay down when he hadn't been paying attention. If he felt like there was something he could do to fix things, he'd be all for it, but there were no teachers guiding them and telling them what to do, no arrow pointing them in the direction of heroism. If all this was going to be was a battle fest where he ended up on his a** and hurting, he'd be just fine locked up in his dorm and cozy.
"If it's Edel, and I don't think it is, what would you do?"

Danny slyly put Rikki's hand in her own, still not venturing to look back at him. She thought for a moment, then said, "Kill her probably," without a sliver of guilt or doubt on her face.
After all, it was no secret that Danny hated the ghoul. She had incentive. Danny had never wanted to ... actually KILL the ghoul, but if she really was responsible for this ... she was taking it a step too far.
Destroying her relationship with Moure was one thing. Destroying the entirety of Halloween was another.
"I think we should go," she said, tugging his hand lightly. "We need to go ... stop ... this thingy I guess." Danny wasn't quite sure how to word it, but she was getting fidgety already and wanted to move soon.

He jerked his hand away, looking at her with disbelief. "We should go so you can go kill another student? Hell no, Danny." He shook his head vigorously even as he said it. Not Jack's chance in Easter would he go seek out a student to beat her up for something he didn't even believe she had done, let alone kill her. He was shocked that Danny seemed to just expect him to agree.
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm going lay here, sleep, and wait for all this to breeze over."

Danny's head snapped as he let go of her hand. Her expression was that of complete disbelief. Why did he just want to sit here? Did he not care about Halloween?
"So what," she said, her voice starting to rise, "You just want to let Halloween turn into jacking Christmas snow?!" She was a little hurt. She knew not everyone hated the snow, but for Rikki to say that to her ...
Why did it feel like they were so out of sync?

He sat up, rubbing his temples with the palms of his hands. "No Danny, I don't, but what are we supposed to do? We don't know what is causing this." He emphasized that, because he didn't like that Danny seemed to have her sights locked onto Edel and her guns cocked. "We should stay and wait for a teacher to tell us what to do."

Danny stood up, already annoyed. "Well fine," she spat back at him, clearly upset. She was backing away from the bed and heading towards the door, hips swinging and lantern clanging. She tore off the ripped sweatshirt, struggling a bit thanks to her overbearing wings. "I'll just go find a way to do something," she emphasized his laziness, "And you can stay here and sleep. Alone."
With a huff, she threw the sweatshirt at the bed, pissed off the more she thought about it. She was a lot angrier than she thought she'd be. "Hope you have fun doing NOTHING."

Sleep here. Alone. Somehow those words had never sucked quite so bad. But annoyance was a cold blade in his logic, which told him to follow her and keep her from doing something stupid, and he glared at her retreating form, catching the hoodie as she threw it. "I will have fun. It will be a fan-jacking-tastic time."
But when the door slammed shut and the room cooled down after the loss of it's frequent fiery resident, it wasn't fun. Only pride had him curling up around the hoodie and giving into sleep's dark embrace rather than leaping up and running after her.
