Lily's mood concerning Alex during the month since the thankgiving disappearance had been very up and down. More clingy than any thing else, but she had been rather miffed for a bit as well, but the closer it got to Christmas the more she was herself again, something for which Alex had to be extremely greatful for.

Today she was practically brimming with excitement because today they were going to decorate. All the decorations were knew or new to her at least for some had been picked out at a few antique shops and they had a nice big christmas pine sitting in the living room replacing a table that had held a lamp for the time being.

"Alex," called Lily, "did you find the star?" Lily who was usually super organized had managed to lose the star in all the shopping and she had of course asked Alex to help find it.

He was greatful, immensly so, he had explained to her why he'd been gone for several days and missed Thanksgiving/ He'd hoped she and his parents, and her family, understood and accepted it, but he had the feeling that telling them he needed time out of the war zone they lived in was hardly good enough. It should be understandable though, given how Destiny City almost seemed to beunder some sort of seige. He'd tolerrated, and understood, Lily's clinging and didn't push her off as he may have otherwise done. She had simply missed him and worried for him, commendable and pleasing things.

Where Lily was super organized so was Alexandre, so if oneof them somehow managed to lose something the other was sure to find it; and somehow that sounded like Mary had a Little Lamb. "Of course I did, you had it with the garland." He spoke as he came into the living room from the kitchen where he'd set all the shopping bags down. He figured it safest to keep the oranaments and such in the kitchen so theliving room didn't become a cluttered mess, seperate tree from ornaments and bring the decorations to the tree. That way the rooms both held half of the whole. "We should get pine garland to decorate the door ways with, and add some lights to it." Stepping into the living room, the dove gray sweather he wore clung to his upper half while black jeans fitted well to his legs, blond hair was swept back but his bangs were...as usual free and about his face.

Lily grinned seeing her friend and gave a laugh as Eamon came and barked at Alex wagging his tail. "I am assuming you want it fresh, so I will let you handle where to get that from, but that's not for right now since we don't have it, right Eamon," she said looking to the dog who barked again.

Lily walked over to Alex going back into the kitchen and looking through the bags to see what they had. "So the tree all set up and that means we can decorate, so let get to it. Light first and then we'll go from them and afterward we can drive up to mom's and grab some of her christmas cookies to have for later."

She grinned pulling out a box of white lights from one of the bags.

"Of course, you know me. I'll get it when I go out for some festive plants." Of course he was planning to go out for plants, when wasn't he? In the fall it was mum's and in the winter it was poinstettia and christmas cactus', while in the spring in summer he seemed to always be getting some new plant.

"Lights than garland, than the ornaments so we don't knock them over in the process of putting on the garland." The tree was sniffed, he loved the smell of pine, and the blond went to set the star, in it's box still, on a chair. Bending to pet Eamon he looked toward the kitchen as he heard Lily. "Your mom made cookies? Any idea what kind?" He asked, curious, and with a tilting of his head. "We should make something for your parents, and mine, maybe a drop off of baked goods on Christmas eve, and a tin of tea for them all?" Alexandre ventured as he thought to repay Lily's mother for the cookies, though she had been baking cookies to drop off at his house since as far back as he could remember.

Lily nodded rolling her eyes at Alex's taking charge, but she didn't mind at all. It reminded her sometimes how much they both had changed and made her wonder what the future had in store for them. She pulled out another box of light and handed them to him with a smile, "one might not be enough, it a big tree, but it just so prefect right?"

She opened the box pulling out the light and plugging them in to make sure they all light up and of course there were no problems, a good brand, the brand her parents like. She didn't doubt it was the same for Alex's parent's either.

"Yes, of course," she said with bright eyes," just like every year, though this year she could a recipe for apple cider caramel cookies. Sound a bit strange but Mom will make em great. Otherwise sugar, oatmeal, chocolate chip, ginger bread and peanut butter. I wish I would have gotten to help but I had work, but Mom promised to make some more of the 23rd, you'll be there right?"

She unplugged the lights and proceeded to stand on a stool to put them up and make she sure they were spaced evenly motioning for Alex to help.

"It is perfect...and big." No, he doubted one set of lights would do the trick, at least if you wanted ayn sort of decent coverage and not a load of bald spots. "I still can't believe it's my first Christmas not at home, our tree...my tree in part." A bigger part, he had a little more say in it's appearence. He had already helped his parents with picking the color sheme for the tree at home, next year it would likely be all up to them and he'd just help, the family tradition changing itself due to the change in family dynamics since he was living elsewhere.

Nope, the brand was the same as what his parents used. Sometimes he suspected their parents went for the same brands on purpose, maybe because of what the other family said of the brand, or because they wanted to keep things imilar in their households so they both felt a lot at home in either household? But he could just be looking too far into things.

"That first one sounds good. We'll have to find something to beat out her cookies." He said grinning. They'd figure something out to bring home to their parents. "I really do like the oatmeal choclate chip but my mom's mint and chcolate chip drops are good." They weren't normal cookies, shape wise, they looked like little round bites that were about the size of one of those hazelnut treats he liked. "Of course, I'm free then and you know I wouldn't miss that. I'll see if mom or dad can join as well." Moving to help with the lights as he spoke, gently hanging them off the branches.

Things had definitely changed for the better. All the time Lily had thought about moving out and looking for a roommate she hadn't really though of Alex who had high school and all, but now she really couldn't imagine her roommate not being Alex. No one save maybe Xander understood her like he did, not even her own mother. He was her best friend for a long as she remembered and even remembered having fits if Alex's mother managed to show up without him. She laughed now at the childishness of it, but her mother had said it was adorable.

She laughed lightly looking down to Alex, "Come on silly, you sound as if your teas won't floor them. They are amazing much better than store bought perfect with cookies and Im sure they all look forward to beautiful christmas plants. Sometimes you are so silly Alex."

Lily hopped down from her stool and grinned at the tree momentarily before helping with the bottom lights after connecting the two sets together. "I hope your mom and dad can come too, were all just one big family and it wouldn't be christmas if she didn't all get together right. You, Me, Xander, Rose and our mom's and dad's and of course Eamon as well, but he's new to the mix." She gave a laugh before winking at the dog who just wagged his tail.

She fussed with a tangle momentarily a memory coming to her, "Do you remember that time when we were six?" Lily remember how decided she wanted to decorate the tree all on her own and tried to get Alex to help despite the obvious fact that meant she wouldn't be doing it all her own.

His mother still said it was cute all the times he would share a bed with Lily when they were little, she still found it cute when he did it even now; despite their ages. She found it adorable that when he saw a spider, and if Lily was spending the night or he were spending the night at her home, he'd curl up with her due to the nightmares. His mother and father had to get to his room just like Lily would if they were in separate rooms, and that just wouldn't do. His nightmares could get pretty vicious with him having a panic attack and the hard time breathing. Ily was the one he went to for a lot of things, he had turned away other possible friends a long time ago, prefering to have the one single friend. It was odd that he had been making friends since this past summer, people he spoke to and met up with multiple times, but he had been. He was expanding his world little by little. He wasn't letting go of Lily though, moving in just made them tighter.

Shaking his head with some laughter he smiled brightly up at her. "I know my teas are good but I think baking our own cookies, or something else, would be good to accompny the tin of tea. I'm just glad I didn't wait till last minute to go my holiday shopping for everyone." This year he'd taken to the internet to do it all, too busy with duty and school exams and other such lovely things. So he'd had boxed upon boxes of gifts shipped to the house and had spent the immediate time afterthe arrival wrapping the item, or items. "He might be new to the mix but he'll fit in perfectly. And you know eventually it'll all expand." When he, Lily, Rose, and yes even Xander started dating and bringing those people to family things like what they were currantly discussing.

"I do, I remembrer falling into the tree when I tried to hang something up too high." He'd refused to get something to step up on in order to properly reach the branch he'd been determined to get an ornament hung on. "And that I got my feet tangled in all the lights and tripped." He hadn't noticed the lights on the floor coiling about his feet as he'd bounced around the tree while covering it in lights. It had been...interesting and a lot of fun. "I think mom has a scrap book dedicated to that event." He said with more laughter.

Lily laughed and shook her head, "of course we can make cookies, but you lead and I'll follow, I've always been the helper in the kitchen. I know enough to get by healthy," she said working the lights around the back as they got to the very bottom of the tree and plugging them in. She grinned as the tree lit up and gave a thumbs up to Alex before unplugging it.

"Garland next," she said with a smile moving back into the kitchen and pulling garland from the bags and Santa hat. She had forgotten all about them. "I've went out shopping of course though I did have to order some things," she said, those things were namely for Alex and her mom, both loved gardening though her mom tended to only work in the front gardens of her house and less now than she had when Lily was younger. Lily was so excited to give all the gift. "I can't wait until Christmas."

She moved back into the living room, arms full of garland, "I can't wait for our family to expand. I suspect Rose will be the first even though Xander is the oldest. It will be so much fun to watch our family grow. Though I think you and I are in for quite a run, our parents have so much blackmail on us."

She laughed thinking on the scene which had result in many pictures in which Lily had ended up wrapped in more garland than the tree which the pair could only decorate about half of due to their heights. "That was the year I started ballet and my mom wanted to me to be in the nutcracker, but I didn't want to." She hopped back up onto the stool after handing Alex most of the garland. "I don't even remember why any more. Do you?"

"Then it'll be new territory for us both. I've never tried my hand at baking." Which meant he'd be looking up ideas online later and figuring out a plan, he didn't fancy the idea of destroying the kitchen or making something inedable. Smiling at her as he watched the tree light up, without incident, he nodded hsi head. "Yeah." It really had been nice to do the shopping for their tree, kinda sounded like a married couple or a couple which was just moving in together but it wasn't. He was sure someone at the store must have thought, he would have.

"I was too busy I'm afraid to do any shopping at the stores, unfortunate really. I'd wanted to spend the time out shopping in person but I was unable to." He even pouted a little as he spoke, Lily knew he had a real love for shopping. So the idea of not getting to shop understandably was pouted over. "Next year I'll have to go out earlier than usual." Much earlier so duties and shopping both got done, on time. This was a lesson learned. "I suspect the same, or one of us...your brother just...it all seems to go over his head." He stated with a shake of his head as he went to grab some of the garland and help out with decorating the tree. "I hopefully can warn whoever I date about the blackmail, before hand. I don't think I could handle being there for the surprise they'll be in for." Their parents had far too much blackmail on them. "Do your parents have as much on your siblings? Or is it just us? And no, I don't remember off hand, my mother might. I do remember the fuss over it though, mom was talking to your mom and such, telling herit was up to you, and all that." Shaking his head as he moved some garland onto the branches and made sure it wouldn't fall off.

Lily laughed, "oh dear maybe I should ask one of my friends to help. I know Aurora can make some great cookies though we can probably figure it out, we will just have to stock up on ingredients in case of mistake and clean supplies for the same reason."

She made sure to avoid the lights as she worked the garland which was going more quickly and smoothly than the lights. "Next year," she said thoughtfully, "its almost here huh? I'll be 18 in just two month, can you believe it. Rose is the only one not excited, she's waiting on 21, she says that the one." Lily shook her head.

"Oh my parents have more on Xander of course because he's um what did my mom call it ... oh right athletically challenged. Ballet, horse back riding, gymnastics, soccer, tennis ... you've seen he not so great at anything, but swimming. With us its all our "twin antic" moment, what was it they said when we were younger. So inseparable you wouldn't know they lived in separate houses."

The garland was wrapped quickly around the bottom and the it was time for ornament, the best part in Lily's open. "I will have to ask the pair during cookie making, if I remember."

"That would be a good idea. I was going to do some shopping for the donation bozes. I already did some shopping for the donation box at the library. We could do both, I need turkey's and I was thinking dog and cat food...bones and maybe catnip toys? After all how many people, poor or not, have a pet or two? So something for them...food for a pet, that's much needed, will likely further brighten a family who's gained a donated meal." He spoke, smiling brightly at Lily. He hadn't told her about this yet, that he'd donated food to the city food drive. Hadn't mentioned a thing about his plans to or even come home with his truck filled with food items. "It just...feels right. Maybe even other pets? Just on the off chance? Bedding...fish food, and other pet foods?" He ventured to question as he looked to Lily, to see what she thought of his idea. He was showing the side of him which cared for people, even those he would and did normally look down on. Maybe he'd even gotten softer this year. "You can bring Aurora if you want for the trip? Maybe she could help...with all the carts." He spoke slowly, he didn't know Aurora at all. In fact, he didn't know any of Lily's other friends really. Most he only knew in passing conversation with Lily.

"I'll be seventeen in two months also." A hint of a smile, he really dislike the day to which he'd been born. He'd had people sending him large boxes of sweets and all the pink and red he could stomache really, and somehow girls combined the birthday gift with the valentines gift. Some would try and kiss him, or get a kiss, and all manner of annoying things. For that reason he tried to skip school that day, in a hopes to fully avoid it all. It was rare his mother let him skip though, and he had to suffer.

"I don't know how your brother managed to be so...bad at everything but swimming. Even I'm not that bad." Though he did have quite the dislike for sports, gym, and anything where he had to perform and sweat and possibly get injured. Though that made it odd with him joining the Negaverse, but there was a reason for it! "Were still like twins in that way." You want to get the star...or both of us, one on each side?" He asked, remembering parents holding them both up as they both placed the star on the tree.

Lily nodded and then frowned slightly, "Ive been so busy that slipped my mine entirely. I actually bought some toys and clothes for it as well. I though I heard different places were excepting those things, but I could be wrong, either way I know there is a drive for it somewhere."

She headed back into the kitchen Eamon on her heels, "I think pet food will be a great idea. All kinds and bedding and things is a great idea, even if they don't find many who need it the local animal shelters can always use it. Right Eamon?" Eamon' barked, she gotten him from the shelter she had volunteered at for years, so Lily was happy so very happy to hear Alex thought of peoples pets as well as the people.

"I call Aurora and see if she want to come help. I don't get to see her that often, both of us are so busy now that we've graduated," which really meant and Alex wouldn't know of course that they mostly got to see each other as senshi.

"February babies were the best and this year you won't be forced to school on you birthday. I know you hate it. We can skip together and go shopping downtown," she grinned. It wasn't like Lily to offer such a thing, but for Alex's birthday she could most certainly compromise.

"Mom says Xanders brain soaked up knowledge like a sponge but when it came to making his body do what he brain thought it should be able to do it, it just couldn't make the connection. I remember Dad saying he was geniunely surprised when Xander learned to swim, but I guess it all worked out in the end. Xander is good at learning and he will be a doctor in just a few years, you know like fully fledged. Lily was really happy her brother found something he was so good at, she really did not think there was a better doctor out there. Pulling out the star she grinned, 'Both of course

"I know the library is part of the drive, it wasn't bad going there to drop things off. The libraian had a dog with him as well, a corgy. Cute dog, snatched up a box of something though, not that I mind." He stated with a small shrug of his shoulders. Laughing as he heard his friend address the dog, a shale of his head following his laughter. "Of course, and I couldn't help but think of the pets people have, they are family." Something he was learning by having a dog in the same house as himself.

"Alright and then you and I can drop everything off, we should be able to fit it all between our two cars." He said grinning even if she didn't see it. He knew they'd likely wind up purchasing a lot of things, beds, bedding, food, toys and treats. He just had that feeling, and he knew it would likely end up with them having several shopping carts and workers helping them out of the pet store they decided to pillage, all in the name of helping needy animals of course.

"I have to agree, though I don't see why I had to be cursed with the birth date I have." Sighing he was glad to hear he wouldn't have to go in for his birthday, he didn't like going in on that day. "I'm surprised your brother can swim as well, but he is good at it." Very good actually. It was nice to know Xander could do something athletic and he wouldn't drown in a pool! Xander joined them, from time to time in the pool when they were splashing about having a good time, so it was a good thing he was able to swim otherwise that wouldn't happen he was sure.

Lily laughed lightly, "Mr. Darrow and Dogby. I told you about Nate right, my friend. Mr. Darrow and Dogby are his had and his dog. Mr. Darrow is so very nice, he's always worried after me and looking out for me and Dogby is such a sweet heart. I still don't understand where Nate fits in, but he has his moment." Lily spoke with a great smile, it would be obvious to Alex that she really cared for them.

'Its not a surprise at all that the library is involved in the food drive. I'm quite happy to hear it and really glad you had the foresight to think of all the pets of there this holiday season."

She laughed when he said they should be able to fit it between two cars, she seriously doubted it. They would go over board, she was certain and she would probably try to drag Xander or Rose into lending a hand. She was certain no one would mind, it was a real community effort. Lily could see it, everyone could. The holiday spirit was at a high and even as a senshi she still felt it, maybe especially as a senshi.

Lily gave a slight giggle bringing a chair into the living room and setting it on the table before bringing in the ton of oranaments in all shapes and sizes, handing a box to Alex. "February babies are the best, can you really imagine not having our birthdays so close together. I always wanted a double birthday remember, all through elementary I insisted it had to be on the sixth or seventh or eight so it was in the middle. I really think Rose thought me nuts, and maybe it was a little weird, but I didnt care."

She went about putting bulbs on the tree, "Yes he is good at it, but he won't compete. At first I didn't really understand, but how could I not. I never wanted to be in ballet recitals and I refused to join chorus. Sometimes when you love something or with ballet when you don't love it you just want it to be for you, to be fun and to just love it or you just don't want to make a big deal. Though I'm different now, I have learned to love ballet and love to perform now. Can you believe I have changed so much in this year? Its so odd to look back on it."

"I believe you may have made mention of Nate, but nothing beyond that. Would he be someone you'd bring to the cabin, if we were to all go?"He asked, his way of finding out how close this Nate was to Lily. How good of a friend was this person? He really didn't know any of her friends, he simply knew them by name and a few other words at best. He didn't normally ask about them, it was Lily's life. He had, up till recently, been happy with just Lily as a friend and had no wish to meet her friends and become friends with them, they weren't needed. Perhaps that was childish of him but he honestly didn't care, Lily was his friend and the only one he'd needed for so long.

"Having a dog, and seeing the dog there, got me thinking. I really thought about helping people...especially those i nthe really ravaged parts of the city. Something to brighten their holidays but how many of them have pets? And having and yet their pets not having doesn't help, it may make the holiday season worse for the family. So I think it's imperitive to help the animals as well." He spoke sincerely as Lily came back into the sitting room. Taking the offered box with a nod of thanks. He started going through the oranaments, as he set the box down in order to do so.

"I know, and we did have wonderful joint parties, and individual ones." He spoke with a bright smile. "Like the one where my mother and father got the horses to ride." He'd had a bit of an incident, andnot just in needing to be picked up and settled onto the horse, but also because he'd taken a tumble and landed in...well not the nicest of things. He'd run off into the house and locked himself inside while demanding to take a shower, cause even though it hadn't touched skin he still smelled and felt dirty. He had not liked that at all, though he'd gotten past it at this point in life; considering the roll around in an alley next to a bar with that senshi.

"I understand that feeling, it's the same with my painting...my plants as well but not as much as my painting. I would never put any of it in a gallery, it's for me and a selectfew." Ducking his head as he hung a bulb as well. Nibblnig on his lip as he nodded his head. "We both have. Though I suspect most of my changes have been very recent."

Lily blinked, she hadn't been expecting the question, in all honest she suggested the cabin venture but hadn't though much on it in a while. She looked thought for a moment, but the answer was easy, "Yes I would invite him. We have a silly friendship, truthfullly I tend to bribe and challenge him a lot. I do not really know why as I do not really need to, but he can be so," she paused and rolled her eyes pulling a face, "sometimes, so much teasing. Still he's a really good friend. I have found many really good friends I think I will have for a long time, like you Alex, but not quite close, your my brother, what was that phrase. I believe it is from another mother or something to that effect."

Up went more bulbs and the tree was really starting to take on a cheery christmas look. "I am sure many on them have pets, pets can really help with stress of life. They are so loyal even in the worst of times. Right Eamon," she called out to the dog who wagged his tail. "You would never leave me or Alex, right boy," she said listening to the Eamon bark happily. She looked back to Alex. "I want to get him a playmate at some point. With your high school graduation approaching and my new job, life only promises to become more and more busy for us. I think he would like a little extra company. What do you think?" Lily stepped back to give thee tree the once over.

She smiled looking it over, "I remember that one. Xander fell off too, a couple time actually and decided despite being a lot older the last time they went to get him to try again to have the tantrum of a lifetime. I think you missed that ... it was hilarious at first, but I ended up going off to find you. That time was almost as bad as the green icing incident, so much green vomit. I'd prefer to forget."

Lily nodded, "I'm glad your art and plants are close to home. I don't think I be to happy with traveling to see them. I'm glad there here, there you, you know." She put a few more bulbs with a grin thinking on the year and everything. She most certainly hadn't expected to be living on her own with Alex, working in a clothing store and spending any amount of time doing laser tag or rock climbing. Yes, she had changed so much but for the better. She and Alex both.

"Do you think we are ready for the star then to head off to get those christmas cookies?"

"Yes, brother from another mother." He stated, with a wrinkle of his nose at the common phrase. "But yes, we are that close." It was true, it was the only thing which described their friendship. They were siblings with different parents, he even saw Lily's siblings as his; though they were like the older siblings you had some distance from. "Who would you invite? I know I only know names but I'm curious how many people would be there, if everyone you invited turned up." They really needed to go through with the idea, he knew he could use the break. It would be a very nice thing, a break out in the woods where it would be peaceful and away from things.

"I like the idea, I've started to like him and you are right. It would be nice to get him a friend. Perhaps I'll pick somethign this time and surprise you?" He asked, wondering what sort of dog, or puppy, he'd get. "You wouldn't kill me if it wasn't a shelter dog, I hope? Just because it's a little more...well you know what health issues they may or may not be prone to." He sounded hesitent, and he was, he was also nervous sounding. He knew Lily's opinion on shelters and wanting to find them all homes and such. But the idea of knowing the health risks and the health of the parents was a little nicer when they would have a busy life and having a surprise of some unexpected illness croping up wasn't something he fancied really. "And the tree iscoming around, a bit more and it'll look proper." And more bulbs were hung up slow,y, gently. Fingers gently bending branches down so he could adorn them with their assigned ornament. "I do need to get a kitten though, for a friend of mine. She's a cat person...any kittens in the shelter? Like really young? I think it would suit her energy level." Thinking of Gently and the energy she seemed to possess, yes a kitten would be perfect for the Negaverse General.

"Yeah, I don't remember the fit, and I'm sure I would. I was likely inside bathing...or pouting." Something he normally would never admit to ever doing. But Lily saw him pout and everything else. He couldn't hide what she'd seen anyway. "Did anyone get the fit on film...if so I never did see it." Thoughfull as he trailed off before pulling a face at Lily. "Can we not think of that incident, that was...gross." Moving toward Lily he ruffled her red hair. "I'm happy with them being me and having them here, I don't like the idea of traveling especially in winter to be able to keep them warm and well tended." The worry was for his plants, he could go without painting for a while if needed. "I think were just about ready. Does it all look even?"

"Well I not really sure. There is plently of room to invite lots of people, but I do not want to overwhelm anyone. I guess it would be 7. I'm sure you've heard someone there name's before. My cousin Xaiver, Nate of course, I've told you about Aurora, and Jaime, and Chris, which leaves Zia and Paris, don't think I've ever mentioned them. And that is of course only if all of them can come and if our parents give the okay, though I do not think that really an issue."

She laughed lightly at Alex's comment about Eamon', how could Alex not start to like him. Eamon' was a very friendly well adjusted dog despite his past. He often slept and Lily's bed, more often then not, so she there were mornings where she woke up to blonde hair and blonde fur. "I wouldn't mind if it wasn't a shelter dog. I will be happy with whatever you decide. I have my whole life to adopt shelter animals."

She the Christmas spirit filling up inside her," as for kittens. The shelter always has those. I haven't been in a time, but I can call and ask or we can just go take a visit. I am sure you will be able to find a hyper little kitten just waiting for you to take it home."

She laughed, "No dad demanded my turn off the camera. You must remember even if he doesnt seem it or look it Xander is 9 years older that I. He was much to old to be having a tantrum, but Xander is always so calm and supportive, quite frankly I do not think Mom was all to surprised. Said he needed not to hold it in so much." She laughed at Alex's face, "trust me I don't want to think about it either," he red hair ruffled she smiled at Alex. She loved times like this.

Thinking on plants Lily remember suddenly the wheat grass that grew at an incredible rate. She went quickly into the kitchen and came back with a handful of it, giving it to Eamon before looking at the tree. "I think it looks quite wonderful. Now to top it off. I take the chair and you take the stool and when can put it up together."

"I doubt they'd say no, I mean were on vacation and we could use the time away from everything." Plus it was winter, no spiders. There would be no need to have the place fumigated before they arrived. It was a good thing, no spiders and no worries over them. "We can even decorate in a winter theme, plaid andpine and maybe a few winter plants...candles even." Yes, his mind was already wandering right to decorating and making the place feel proper for a winter vacation. "I don't think anyone, at least no one your friends with, would have issues with lots of people." Maybe they'd have issues with certain people. But Lily was a social person and surely her friends were as well.

"That you do. I'll start looking in to breeds, known health issues, and looking into breeders then." He spoke bobbing his head. He would make sure he got a healthy puppy, and that they would be house broken. He didn't want to handle that while Lily was at work and he was in school. He didn't think it would be nice to cage a dog up while Eamon got to run about the house either, so he needed a dog, puppy, already house broken or in the process of being house broken. But what sort of breed, personality wise?

"We can go in, maybe call and let them know ahead of time?" He offered up. He really thought Gently would love a kitten, he just needed the rightone. So Lily wouldhelp him. "And I want your opinion on color and all. I want something you also think is pretty, just for a second opinion. It's a surprise for a friend I believe is a cat lover yet had no cat."

"That's one of the many incidents we don't, and shouldn't, ever think on again. And I can see the reason for your father havingit turned off. But your brother I think needs to loosen up a bit." Shrugging as he spoke. "The tantrum was likely a very good thing for him. Needed even perhaps?"

Watching her with the wheat grass, which sat next to the cat n** he had for the cat he'd told Lily about; the cat who came in and out of the house at all odd hours. He hadn't known at first that dogs could eat wheat grass, now he knew they could. "We should get ladders for the house, two short ones which we can use just for this." This said even as eh got onto the stool and looked to Lily. "Alright, lets get this star on."

"We shall see," she said softly. She was never sure, but it was because many of her friend now where made fighting in the war and some had been lost that way. One out right did not remember and hated her at the same time, one she wasn't sure about and even still another seethed in her presense. She was a little afraid sometimes to push the boundaries. She knew without her friends she'd drown in the war, it had taken her far to lond to realize it. "But yes I agree a winter vacation sound like a good idea even it its just us, just the family. We had much planning to do."

Lily nodded feeling excited at the aspect of having another dog, a puppy this time. She would have to take both to visit Tony and Dogby at the library. She bet it would be fun and probably rather funny. "I will have to make a list of names. Something that goes properly with Eamon, as for the kitten I will call as soon as we are done and see if they have any you kittens so we can pick a day to go look. I'm sure we will find just the right one and I bet your friend will just love it."

"Yes the parents were look at him and the younger kids too, but he needed to let it out. It was funny at first, hilarious actually, but then it wasn't. But you saw later, he was back to his normal self like nothing happened. He hasn'rt had another tantrum that I know of since then, but he's changed to of course, just like you and me."

She climbed into the chair in hand and reached it out to Alex so they could raise it to the top together.

Alexandre was no stranger to not being sure where he stood with some of those around him. One or two scared him and others he wasn't sure where he stood with them and others he just felt uncomfortable around due to the difference in rank or age. It was hard to find his footing but he'd managed in some cases as he had his share of friends within the ranks of those serving chaos. He knew in some, maybe most or all, of the cases the feelings wouldn't change. If only because he wouldn't work to change them,
too nervous, scared, or intimidated, to try and alter things. But that was ok, so long as work and duties were fulfilled it was ok, right?

"Names that go with Eamon? Perhaps wait to see what breed and maybe names that seem to fit the breed?" He asked with a tilt of his head as he peeked around the tree at Lily, a hand reaching out for the star. "I'll make you some tea while you make the call, and then we can go collect ourselves some holiday cookies?" He asked, though he knew that was how things would work.

"He has changed though I wonder if he keeps things bottled up like he used to, if he could use another tantrum over something. I don't know how he handles medical school, the stress of it all." Shaking his head as he took the star with her and slowly raised his hand, and rose up onto tip toes.

Lily grinned,"sorry," she mumbled, "I'm excited, getting ahead of the tide, but yes waiting is a good idea still it wont hurt to think of one of two. I'll burst with excitement if I don't."

She laughed feeling Alex take hold of the star, "tea, oh but you do drive a hard bargain. Make sure to pack up some tea bags for mom and dad."

Lily rolled her eyes slightly stretching to place the star a top of the tree with Alex, getting it on and letting go before looking around the tree to grin at Alex. "Trust me. He lets it out know." Usually as of late by scolding Lily for the bumps and bruised from her late night escapes and ranting and pacing about the invisible not so invisible war he had been pulled into. Lily knew it was often more that that and she would just sit and lister and hug her brother when he needed it. They were very close, like she and Alex and she about to let her brother turn into a stressed out ball of knots.

"Now to turn the lights on and get some christmas cookies!"

Laughing he shook his head. "I know, you are the sort. I might think of a generic name or two, in case I can't think of anything fitting for the pup." He spoke nodding his head as he did so. "Nothing that you'd expect for a dog though, like Spot, Fido, or anything else. Something normal perhaps, or a little more creative." He didn't want to be so common.

"Of course, I think I have a full tin, unless you've spied it and opened it." Hedidn't keep track of it, Lily could tell him when they were out or close to it. He didn't drink the stuff so was clueless about it, he didn't like coffee either. At home, since they lacked an espresso machine, he drank juices and flavored waters. It was the balance to his love for espresso.

"Yes, lets get it pluged in, while I make the tea and you call do you think you can clean up a bit? I'll clean up in the kitchen as the tea makes?" Climbing off the stool he smiled to Lily. He was glad to hear about her brother, he really was, it wasn't healthy to keep things so bottled up. To know he was letting things out he was happy for the older male. If only he knew what it was all about. He'd be torn between joining the other in the ranting and pacing or powering up and dragging Lily home and making sure she didn't leave. It would be very amusing.

Going to plug the tree in a bright smile was tossed overhis shoulder to Lily as he headed for the kitchen.
