Hi, my name is Tristain Lorelei Raines.
I'm a girl.
I'm twelve years old.
This is my second year here at Hogwarts.
The house I'm in is Ravenclaw.
People say that, in a nutshell, I'm nearly indecipherable. There are plenty of words scribbled on the pages of my book, but I make it a point to keep it locked. I'm quiet, shy, and will only initiate a conversation if I have no other ethical choice. I am certainly not unfriendly, just afraid of showing people who I really am. The sole characteristic of mine that is easily observed from another's point of view is my ever-expanding intelligence, for I nearly always have my nose tucked inside a lengthy novel, or have my eyes focused on one of my unique inventions. Learning is my passion, and knowledge is my pride.
My background story is extraneous. I am rather young, and have yet to embark on the greater part of my life. Though I do not speak of it, I am excited to attend Hogwarts in hopes of having more plentiful opportunities to learn. I've worked on my family's farm since before I can remember, where I help tend to the animals, and especially enjoy taking care our plants, both magical and non. Reading is my number one priority when my chores are finished, it is not only my source of entertainment, but is to be blamed for my steady income of knowledge. I have also been dancing for the past five years, taking classes like jazz, lyrical, and ballet (the latter being my favorite). I don't tend to openly share this, but it is one of the few active things I enjoy in life. Aside from flipping through pages and soaring across the dance floor, I also spend a considerable amount of time working on new inventions that may not always have practical uses, but are always fueled by my imagination.
I enjoy reading, learning, and doing both at the same time. I have a hidden passion for dancing, especially ballet, but few people outside of the family know about it. I like doing my chores, unlike most children, and I love exploring ideas for my own inventions while I sip my afternoon tea with mother. I am also a big fan of classical music and playing instruments. I am very good at playing the violin, though my parents purchased a piano a couple years ago, which I have become rather experienced with.
I despise empty, un-motivated minds, sports (except chess), danger, fear, and poor memories.
I look like an angel, or so my mother tells me.
My wand is a ten and one quarter inch oak and augurey feather.
My pet is an orange kitten, whom I named Komala, which means "orange" in Bengali.
Oh yes, there's something else I need to tell you! My older brother Colton also attends Hogwarts - he's a third year here, with a pair of very intriguing friends.
